  1. Depends. Are you using Tyrantrum instead of Aggron? Also, about the Electric type, whatcha gonna go with? Turns out, Thunder IS possible on Galvantula via E12 breeding because Illumise/Volbeat are in the Human-like Group for SOME reason (just added the chain to the guide), but you have to choose between Thunder and Energy Ball. Heliolisk's Thunderbolt in Sun hits WAY harder than Galvantula's Thunder.
  2. Check your PMs. Wai-what. WHY are those 2 in the human-like group??? Well, um, either way, thanks! Gonna add that to the guide. And yeah, this is the only way to get it Thunder, the Bug Group is really limited, so you gotta choose between this and EB. Also, took Simon's idea and edited the guide . Now, the moves you can only get in E12 are written in green, to make the guide easier to use.
  3. Good stuff, good stuff. -The most common sleep-inducing moves are still really rare. And they're Sleep Powder/Spore, which Gourgeist is immune to cause it's a Grass type. Make it either Pickup to find some neat junk or Frisk to scout ahead for surprises. -Aggron is really not that good. It's got a lot of physical bulk, but you've got a Gourgeist! You don't need bulk, you need a good attacker and Aggron...isn't one. If you REALLY wanna keep it, ditch Rock Polish. Aggon can outspeed stuff at +2 if you have near-maxed speed, but even then, it just doesn't have the power to be a Rock Polish sweeper. Also, Iron Head or Heavy Slam are way better as your Steel STAB because...they can actually hit things. To replace RP, your options are limited if you're keeping EQ...Brick Break? Or use Munchlax to get Body Slam for the paras (you can keep EQ since Munchlax gets it too). Buuuuuuuuut, I'd really advise replacing it. The first thing that comes to mind is Rhyperior because it's also a slow physically bulky (maybe even bulkier because of Solid Rock, depends on how you look at it) Rock type, but it's got a really good attack stat and great movepool (Poison Jab, Megahorn, all elemental fangs, Crunch/Shadow Claw, Metal Burst/Counter, Brick Break/Hammer Arm). You also have other Rocks like Archeops, any Shell Smasher, Gigalith, Tyrantrum, Aurorus, Relicanth. For Steels, Durant is godly. Hustle gives it effectively 190 base Attack, and it gets Hone Claws to boost that even more and make up for Hustle's accuracy drops. Other great Steel types are Metagross, Bisharp, Empoleon, Excadrill, Escavalier. If any of those^^ interest you, say so and I'll come up with some sets. -Crobat is way better as a Nasty Plot attacker. Air Slash, Venoshock, Nasty Plot, Hidden Power Fighting/Ground. It's especially good if you have some Toxic Spiker around, even if it's just a level 1 Sturdy Pineco. Though it might end up being useless if it can't set up (and physical Crobat is not the best), so if you want some replacements: For Flying types, there's Honchkrow, Archeops, Swellow (if you get the Toxic Orb), Staraptor, Simple Swoobat, Sigilyph, Braviary, Vivillon and Hawlucha. For Poison types, you've got Muk, Weezing (though it's only really usable as physical wall. which it does great, but not as well as Gourgeist. though it does get Destiny Bond), Nidoking, Toxicroak, Dragalge, Venomoth, Tentacruel, Scolipede and Roserade. Again, if curious, I can explain and give sets for em. -Thing is, we don't have Thunder. It's unknown if we ever WILL have that. Instead, since I see you've got that Ninetales, get Heliolisk. With Solar Power, it's gonna be hitting insanely hard. Also has neat coverage options like Surf (which you shouldn't use in sun, but still), Grass Knot and Dark Pulse. GK, Thunderbolt, HP Ice and DP are it's best set IMO. At least until we get a Hyper Voice tutor, which we may never get because HP is really good for Sylveon/Aurorus. -Again, Solar Beam is like Thunder. Breed Energy Ball for now. For Heliolisk, you'll obviously want to get it a Heat Rock to extent Drought duration. Also, Will-o is useless. Ninetales is best of either setting up and sweeping or coming in, nuking something with Drought Fire STABs and leaving. I've found the sweeping option to work decently well and Fire/Grass/Rock is perfect coverage (Ground is pretty good too), so get Hidden Power Rock/Ground. And then, either try being a sweeper and keep Nasty Plot or go with hit-and-run and replace NP with Extrasensory (of course, you don't have to NP every single time, you can still hit'n'run. and Psychic coverage is nothing special, so yeah) ---Now I COULD give some recommendations for your 6th team member, but that'd be way easier to do if I knew your first 5 for sure. To rephrase, you keeping Aggron/Crobat or what are you replacing them with (or do you need me to go into detail about their possible replacements)?

Update to the iPad version. Y'know that menu to the left Youtube has on your browser? Where your subscriptions are, playlists, etc? Yeah, well, someone thought it'd me a great fucking idea to move that to the top of the screen, in a bar 1cm tall.

    4. Etesian

      Etesian

Actually, they didn't put it all there, everything except for subscriptions (so only playlists and useless tabs like history) are still in the sidemenu. But they decided to move that to the opposite side, because...why???

  5. Random thought. You already said leaders will see what we're bringing even before we fight them, but do they see only what's registered ir also the things we can change (like abilities, items, etc)? And we know there's gonna be doubles and triples, but will leaders be able to change it up or can they only do one format and no other? To put it.more clearly, can they or can they not choose to do singles one week, dobules the next?
  6. Yeah, but everyone from the orphanage is somehwo connected to Lin, I think he'll only play a minor role i that one. And what I meant by his plot being tied with the Meteors os that he'll use them while it's beneficial for him. When they start crumbling, he'll try to cut his ties. It's just because there's so.many sub-plots left and that one of the gym-guidey PCs had Ame say he Sigmund broke some rules by not allowijg gym battles that I think he'll just slip away.
  7. I recall reading somewhere that the entire story was finished before the actual game was started, so it's most likely been thought through well. And about the character arcs, the 4 you mentioned, those aren't all that complicated. -Since the Watertreatment Center, really not that much is left with Titania, her conclusion wipl most likely be connected with Amaria's story. -For Sigmund, his story is really juat that he threw in with the Meteors. When they break up, he'll either go down with them or, most likely, try to bail out, which will either succeed or Solaris/Sirius stop him, possibly killing him. -For Taka, I guess it'll be like Sigmund above, but instead of him trying to escape, maybe we'll have the option to spare him when they're going down. The only bigger thing I can see about him is about his backstory, maybe done in the same way Terra's reason for joining the Meteors was given. -Honestly, Amaria's sub-plot is the only one that'll take a bit to complete out of the 4 you gave. Other than that, what's left? The people following the MC (which I guess now also includes Heather?) and the Meteors, but those stories can be dine while we're pursuing the main story.

    Klink

If you're not sure about this kinda stuff, try the pinned guides in this section; the location one (E15) for what's where and the EV training one to see rates. Klink is there and jas a 20% chance to show up. So you either killed a Leprechaun in your previous life or you're in the wrong place. It's in the Obsidia Ward, to the left of the Pokemon Center, inti a building and then down the stairs, that's how you get to where it should be.
  9. ^^that. As for where to go after badge 8, there's a pinned "Where do I go now?" Topic pinned in Reborn City.
  10. Your game, your choice. But about the Hex thing, you do have a Roserade, but it's not THAT fast and it can't take a physical hit at all. I'd say get a Scolipede, Cofagrigus or Pineco. Scolipede's great Speed and pretty good physical bulk almost ensures TSpikes, Cofagrigus has stupidly high physical bulk and access to Trick Room which can also support your team. Use Pineco if you don't wanna bother training something new, level 1 Sturdy with TSpikes is all you need with that.
  11. -Gengar: Ditch Hypnosis. You DON'T want a 60% accurate move on something that can't take a single hit. HP Ice on Gengar is also useless, since it gets Icy Wind from a tutor. IW is only 5 BP weaker, slows a hit foe down AND hits all foes in a double battle. For moves you could run, check the pinned guide in this section, breeding in E12 can get you Sludge Bomb, Energy Ball, Thunderbolt, Psychic. And since I see you have something wit Toxic Spikes and team members that can benefit from that, consider Hex over Shadow Ball; even if you don't set up T-Spikes, Hex is still not that much weaker than Shadow Ball. -Luxray: Alright, I guess. I mean, it's a Luxray, it's movepool is as "expansive" as Luxray is "viable" since it's so slow and frail. Just make sure it has Guts as an ability and give it a Toxic Orb. -Nidoking: Check the guide, get it Ice Beam/Thunderbolt instead of Shadow Ball. And give it the Life Orb. -Crobat: Ditch Shadow Ball, go for HP Fighting or Ground. -Krookodile: E12 for a Rock move. -Roserade: 2 Grass STABs is pointless. Keep Giga Drain, check the guide, get Extrasensory and Sludge Bomb (and if you want to, replace Giga Drain with Leaf Storm; the exact chain is in the guide). -Durant: E12, grab Rock Slide and Hone Claws to further boost it's attack stat and counteract Hustle's accuracy drops. Ditch Dig and Crunch. -Medicham: You'll probably want some priority to go with that low Speed, replace Thunder Punch with Bullet Punch. -Darmanitan: E12, Rock Slide and Dig. -Honchkrow: I....see absolutely no reason for Nasty Plot there. Get it Tailwind. Honchkrow's main issue is it's Speed, so start a fight, set up Tailwind, get whatever boosts you can, then spam Sucker Punch once Tailwind is done. And get rid of Brave Bird, Drill Peck is better since it gives you no recoil (Honch will definitely take a hit or 2, wouldn't wanna lose any Moxie buffs you get because recoil beats you). And give it a Scope Lens, Night Slash has a 50% crit chance if you have one of those. -Chandelure: Dark Pulse is pointless. E12, Psychic and Energy Ball. Also, again, maybe Hex over Shadow Ball. and consider Minimize, Psychic coverage is negligible.
  12. No. It really doesn't have the bulk for it. If you REALLY wanna roll with hex, use a Toxic Spiker or something.
  13. Yeah it's late, but it's definitely worth the wait. And for accuracy, of 90% doesn't cut ot for you, give it a wide lens and it'll have 99% accuracy...wait a minute, why am I defending Serperior, that thing's boring.
  14. Depends on what you want from it. If you want a wall, you've got Venusaur, Meganium (kinda) and Chesnaught, but Gourgeist is available before the third gym and is a better wall than all of them. If you want a speedy attacker, get Serperior and spam Contrary Leaf Storm, the only better really fast attacker in the game is Quiver Dance Lilligant, also obtainable before the third gym. If you want a bulky attacker, there's Turtwig, which is really good, but obtainable later. If you want a fast bad attacker, get Sceptile and hope and dream we get the Mega Ring and Mega Stone. To conclude, get a different starter.
  15. RIP in spaghetti, Papyrus avatar. I liked you, but your theme kept playing in my head every time I saw you. So, here's an avi to remind me of the best theme in the game! Still, spoopeh enough for Halloween, too~

    Uh oh!

^^And if you need help with that, there's this and this.
  17. I assume these are all ideas, because Focus Blast is something we can only dream about getting (and hitting...) Anyways: Run Protect over...whatever the hell Halloween is. That way, the combo of Protect and PF makes you invincible every 2 out of 3 turns, while LS and Will-o do all the damage in the meantime. That's the set that let my Gourgeist 1v1 Garchomp. Make it Adamant max Attack and max HP/Speed. Currently, the only Charizard somewhat worth running is fully-physical DD. So swap Flamethrower with Flare Blitz (or...Fire Fang if you don't want recoil, since it'll be almost dead no matter what it sets up on. it's a Charizard, for crying out loud). Also, ditch Wing Attack. It IS a STAB, Fire hits the same important things and Ground/Fire/Ghost is better coverage. Get it Dig from breeding in E12 (check the pinned guide in this section for details). The way you're running it, there's no point in running Donphan over Hippowdon. There's other Ground types you could use too. Want any suggestions? The higher a stat, the more points a +Nature gets you. So, since Reuni has higher special defense than physical, run a +Sp.Def nature. Speaking of, Impish?? I think you got something wrong. Also, no need for Focus Blast at all. You're not running Calm Mind, so you have no reason to stay in on a Dark type. Plus, we may not ever get Focus Blast's TM, so, as they say, "Cross a bridge once you get to it". Get it Shadow Ball (via E12 breeding or when we get the TM (no hypocrisy here lol, it's confirmed we'll get that)). And while Grass Knot is a neat move, a lor of Water-types, the most common type in the game, are really light, so you maaaaay want to consider E12 breeding Energy Ball. Also, if you run Hippo, make this Magic Guard. E12 it up and get yourself Swords Dance over Hone Claws. Also, ditch Ice Fang. As bulky as Drapion is, it's speed COULD be better, so it'll be worn down eventually. Run Agility instead of Ice Fang. In that case, you can also run Max HP over Speed EVs (and an Adamant nature, why use lonely and lower Drapion's highest stat). Sing Sing a funeral song, because it's gotta go, it's a terrible move. Instead, since it has even offenses and some nice moves, there's 4 ways to run Lapras! 4 Physical attacks, 4 Special attacks, a Curse set or a DD set. -For a physical set, you've got Waterfall, Ice Shard, Avalanche/Bulldoze/Drill Run/Body Slam. 3 STABs, Ice Shard is for frail speedy things or to kill an already weakened foe, Avalanche is a mighty 120 BP move for things you can tank a hit from. And then you've got Drill Run for some coverage, or BS/Bulldoze for support. -For a Special set, you've got, Scald(E12)/Surf/Hydro Pump, Frost Breath, Freeze-Dry, Psychic/Hidden Power/Ancient Power/Icy Wind. Simple stuff, 2 STABs and then Frost Breath instead of T-Bolt because FB hits the same things TB would but also hits things like Swampert or Ludicolo for waaaaaay more. The last move is just filler coverage or Icy Wind for support. -Curse, Waterfall, Avalanche, Ice Shard. Curse is perhaps the most viable set, just because Lapras is so bulky already, and it's Sp.Def is high even without any boosts. Curse+Avalanche is a great combo and, in case something that could outspeed and kill you comes out, have enough Curses up and you can likely OHKO with Ice Shard, taking no damage. -And the DD set is just the 4 Physical Attacks set with DD instead of Ice Shard since the speed boosts make priority unnecessary. And since you didn't list a nature, run Adamant for the first set, Modest for the second, Careful for the Curse set or Jolly for the DD set. Also, for the DD set, run Speed instead of HP EVs (and obviously Attack EVs instead of Sp.Atk for the all but the 2nd set).
  18. ^^Magneton gets no defense-buffing moves, so it probably was just a roll and/or OP missed the possible message about Rock Smash dropping defense.
  19. Snow. As much as possible. Back when it used to snow properly here, sometimes, when I really needed to just cool down (metaphorically), I'd just throw myself in a pile of snow in my backyard and relax...and sometimes fall asleep...
  20. I'll stop at nothing to avoid using negative numbers.

Perhaps multiplying with yourself could absolve the problem, too...

  21. Honestly, if you know what to do, you can get through the first...8 gyms with nothing but a decent starter and Simple Calm Mind Swoobat. But really, early game has nothing worth keeping on a final team, so just use whatever until you find the Pokemon you want in your final party (use the pinned topics in the On The Hunt section to see what's where or the Monotype Availability guide to see what's when).Till you get to the good stuff, use 5 random things and, if you get stuck with something, see about making a replacement or two (the pinned Gym Leader Help thread can help you decide what to use then).
  22. The Scraggy event? In the same place you got Pancham.
  23. ^^That's why I mentioned that guide, even has exact chains you need to go through. But hey, you do you. Just for Egg moves (look at a Pokemon's page on Bulbapedia on something, they have a header that's just "Egg moves" and a list of which ones that Pokemon gets), event Pokemon have a random one, just soft-reset (F12) until you get something like DD on Scrafty.
