  1. Well, you can take a look here. Explains how to use CE to both generate and hatch eggs much quicker.
  2. Cotton Guard is really not that great as that doesn't boost special defense, meaning you can set up all you want, once a special attacker comes in, you either have to switch out and lose your boosts and the time you spent getting those up or you can stay in and go down. Use T-wave instead, your team is rather slow. I really do think Heliolisk is the better Electric type in all regards (except for bulk, but it's so fast and hits so hard, it'll be getting hit waaaaaaaay less than Ampharos), but hey. If you wanna switch, Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, HP Ice, Surf/Dark Pulse is Heliolisk's best set. I guess you have Confusion for lack of a good move? Check the Breeding Guide in this section, E12 gets Gardevoir Thunderbolt/Energy Ball. You also don't have Moonblast. But the way you're using it, I'd say Alakazam would work much better. Or Reuniclus. Pangoro really isn't anything special, there's much better Fighting types around. I'll just copy-paste from a previous topic: "Now, for a Fighting type, there's 5 really good ones in Reborn, Hitmonlee, Toxicroak, Mienshao, Hawlucha and Scarfty. For movesets, best would be: -Unburden, Blaze Kick, High Jump Kick, Bullet/Mach Punch, Thief (TM later) for Hitmonlee. Another option would be Reversal and Endure instead of High Jump Kick and Blaze Kick or the priority, that option lets you get the Unburden boost easier, though Gems are a thing, so it's no big deal anyways. -Poison Touch, Poison Jab, Drain Punch, Sucker Punch, Bulk Up (E12) for Toxicroak. The chain for both Drain Punch and Bulk Up is in the guide. -Reckless, High Jump Kick, Knock Off, Acrobatics/Poison Jab/Rock Slide for Mienshao (Farfetch'd for Knock Off, Acrobatics and/or Poison Jab, Camerupt>Donphan>Mienfoo for Knock Off and Rock Slide(Acrobatics is a TM you get way later)). -Unburden, High Jump Kick, Acrobatics, Swords Dance/Poison Jab/Rock Slide for Hawlucha (just continue the chain for Mienshao to get these moves onto Hawlucha) (Feather Dance is also an option to make setting up stupidly easy, which is why I'd say it's the best Fighting type in the game right now) -Moxie, Dragon Dance, Ice Punch, High Jump Kick, Crunch for Scrafty. Since this one doesn't have Unburden, you can give it a Wide Lens to make High Jump Kick 99% accurate." Special Crobat is much better than the physical one. Nasty Plot, Venoshock, Air Slash, Hidden Power Fighting/Ground. Hawlucha is covered above. Sky Attack is an option, but I assume you'd use it with Power Herbs so that you can skip the charging and get the Unburden boost? I'll just say that Sky Attack is 140 BP and can miss and can only be used once cause you consume your Power Herb, while Flying Gem Acrobatics has 143 BP at first, then a stable, spammable 110 BP. Sadly, Cradily is only good as a wall and walls aren't useful in-game. If you really wanna keep it, give it Toxic and Stockpile via E12 breeding. But I really see no reason to keep it. For replacements, it depends. Would you prefer a Grass type or Rock type?
  3. Actually, yeah, got Natu. Although that was back when the beta was released and I don't know if I used 2 dolls or not. I deleted that run, but I am 100% sure I killed a Natu there.
  4. Iirc, I read that's got something to do with the new way to get Beldum? Don't quote me on that.
  5. Game development. Programming's something I love doing because it's all basically pure logic. How to approach an issue, figuring out a solution, working out how to implement that; it's like every aspect of a code is it's own puzzle. Like math, but not as soul-rending...and solving something actually has practical applications. And for games, well, it's because I want to make people as happy as games have made me. Specifically, it'd be a dream come true if I got a job at Platinum or Bethesda, I just adore (most of) their works. Er, though I've only just gotten to the end of my 1st year of college and things sure aren't easy here, so let's focus on the issues at hand, haha.
  6. It's a Pokemon without any special strenghts or weaknesses, it fits in pretty much anywhere. So whatever you end up using, you won't have any particular reason for it, just use whatever.
  7. No mention of any sort of history exist. I doubt the place was really "built", probably happened when some gangs, like the ones we're in, "took over" an abandoned, rundown part of the city. Dunno why the hell you can only get there via 2 elevators though.
  8. Just PM a mod and they'll delete that for ya. You can edit your previous post. By the way, check your PMs.
  9. Please do use the search feature and/or look around before making topics. In this section, there already exists a pinned Gym Leader Help Thread.
  10. If you're on Windows, you can just use the volume mixer, right click on the speaker icon on your taskbar.
  11. (Well, you made it obvious Camerupt and Hariyama had to go without mentioning the other two, so i just guessed.) Actually, it's not that reliant at all. What I use on mine is Thunderbolt via level-up, Grass Knot via late TM or breeding from wild Pansage in Jasper, Hidden Power Ice (cause sunlight weakens Water moves, so Surf isn't that great (it also gives coverage vs Dragons)) and Surf/Dark Pulse via TM although I never ever use the 4th move cause it doesn't need it. So you can get the non-level-up set even before Corey. About taking advantage of terrains, of course, not all fields let you do that and all the fields that affect Discharge also affect/boost Thunderbolt. You can also take a look here and see what fields affect Flame Burst, I can already tell you that no major fight happens in those fields after the point you're at (except for the obvious Fire gym, but you're not gonna spam fire there). Actually, nothing was nerfed for E15. The AI took a dive with Essentials v15, but that's been like that since Reborn E14, you're already getting the full package. No line-ups have been changed either, except for Shade and Serra. Your game, your choices. I don't really see why not to use everything at your disposal, but hey, do what you will. Either way, throwing walls of text at people in this section is kinda my job, haha. Well, Whiscash does the same things Crawduant does, just worse. Sharpedo is an option, but it just lacks power, and lets not talk about it's "bulk", so go Crawdaunt. Typhlosion is good, but there's better. It suffers a great deal in the versatility department and it's stats aren't even that great. It has access to Eruption, sure, but I only consider 5 non-starter Fire types to be really worthwhile: Ninetales, Chandelure, Darmanitan, Delphox, Arcanine. The first 3 hit much harder than Typhlosion, Arcanine has impressive move-variety, Delphox is just really really solid and Magician comes in handy at times. Want sets? I haven't used it yet since it only became available this episode, but I think it's safe to say Rhyperior is Rock Solid. Bad puns aside, it should be really good. I prefer Gigalith for being available way earlier, having Sturdy, having actually existing Sp.Def which makes a Curse set actually possible and because I'm biased as hell. You can use Rhyperior, but it's better with just 4 attacks. You can go Swords Dance and Rock Polish, but that really gimps your coverage and is less reliable. So if you wanna use it, just go with STABs and any coverage you may need, Hammer Arm, Fangs, maybe take a gamble with Metal Burst. I mentioned Gigalith, so I'll mention a set, EQ, whatever Rock STAB, Curse, Heavy Slam. I only ever used one not-all-out-attacker and never had any problems, so I really don't think you need it, but that Gourgeist is really good, so, again, do what you will.
  12. He can't. I just figured that, if he's reworking his team, I'd give the best possible advice I can regardless of when he can find the stuff he needs. Archeops is at the same locations as ever, the Agate Circus Tile Puzzle and that one museum event post-Serra.
  13. For what you're saying about roles: completely unnecessary. I mean, you can do it, but I've yet to find anything on multiple playthroughs that can't be overpowered by 6 attackers with good coverage. First off, the way I see it, you say you want to keep Serperior, Manectric and Nidoqueen? If that's so, I'd really say to get rid of them as well. Manectric is completely outclassed by Heliolisk, especially cause it has an actual movepool (notable mentions being Surf, Grass Knot, Dark Pulse), gets better abilities and has overall better stats (beside defense, but neither of these two can take hits). And for Nidoqueen, Toxic Spikes are unnecessary as your team will be pretty hard hitting anyways, the chip damage from poison will hardly matter. I'd say you use a Nidoking instead, with Ice Beam, Sludge Bomb/Wave, Earth Power, Thunderbolt/Flamethrower (to get the non-STAB moves, check the pinned guide in this section about breeding in E12 and prior). Now, for a Fighting type, there's 5 really good ones in Reborn, Hitmonlee, Toxicroak, Mienshao, Hawlucha and Scarfty. The only ones of those you can get right now are Toxicroak, Machamp and Scrafty, though you'd have to wait a few gyms more and you can get all of them, but you'd need to wait almost as long to get their best moves, like Dragon Dance on Scrafty. Since this one doesn't have Unburden, you can give it a Wide Lens to make High Jump Kick 99% accurate. Next, if you want a Fire wall breaker, you need a Darmanitan, best wall breaker ever, especially cause Sheer Force negates Life Orb recoil, and we just so happen to have one. Although there's another, overall-better option: Ninetales. Not only is it very strong on it's own (Nasty Plot, Flamethrower, Hidden Power Rock, Energy Ball (Energy Ball from E12) being it's best set), it also gives Heliolisk a 50% boost to it's Special Attack if it has Solar Power. The combo of these two is stupidly good. If you do breed for that specific Hidden Power (though Ground also works decently), look at my guide to see how passing down IVs is done (a.k.a go buy the Power Items), and don't bother with the right Nature, a nature changer can be found 2-3 gyms after Serra. Not too many good Water types exist in the game, Kingler, Crawdaunt, Huntail, Clawitzer, Empoleon and Relicanth being the only ones that...do anything worthwhile, while Feraligatr, Empoleon and Gorebyss are the best Water types in the game IMO. Sets: -Sheer Force, Agility, Waterfall, Rock Slide/X-Scissor/Brick Break/Knock Off for Kingler (Archen>Corphish>Krabby for RS and KO, Kricketune/Karrablast/Ninjask/Dwebble>Skorupi>Krabby for XS and KO, Corphish>Archen>Anorith>Krabby for all RS and XS or all three) -Adaptability, Knock Off, Waterfall/Crabhammer, Swords Dance/Dragon Dance, Aqua Jet/Rock Slide/X-Scissor/Brick Break. Aqua Jet is pointless if you aren't using SD, chains for RS and XS are the same as for Krabby. -Water Veil, Waterfall, Shell Smash, Ice Fang, Sucker Punch for Huntail. -Mega Launcher, Water Pulse/Scald, Ice Beam/Dark Pulse/Dragon Pulse/Aura Sphere/Sludge Wave for Clawitzer, the chain for Ice Beam and Scald is in the guide. -Rock Head/Sturdy, Head Smash, Waterfall, Earthquake, Zen Headbutt/Yawn for Relicanth (Whiscash for Zen Headbutt and EQ, Wooper or Whiscash for EQ). - -Any Ability, Surf, Ice Beam, Hidden Power Grass/Electric, Shell Smash for Gorebyss. Psychic is also an option for a 3rd attack if you're too lazy to get the right Hidden Power, but HP Grass/Electric works much better. You can also go Baton Pass. -Torrent, Agility, Surf/Scald/Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Grass Knot for Empoleon. Chain in the guide. -Sheer Force, Waterfall, Ice Punch, Crunch, Dragon Dance for Feraligatr. - There's also the mystery egg from the police in the Jasper Ward, which can give you, for Water types, Tentacruel, Starmie and Azumarill. For those: -Liquid Ooze, Sludge Wave, Scald/Surf, Ice Beam, Wring Out/Acid Spray. Or be a man and use SD, Waterfall, Poison Jab, Knock Off Tentacruel which is surprisingly fun. -Natural Cure, Hydro Pump, Psychic, Power Gem, Icy Wind/Minimize. -Huge Power, Belly Drum/Waterfall/Aqua Jet/Play Rough/Bounce/Superpower/Brick Break/Body Slam. Nope. Umbreon has nothing beside good defensive stats as a wall. It can Toxic foes down, but anything can do that. Instead, I'd say either keep going with offense, or use a Gourgeist. Gourgeist is without a doubt the best physical wall in the game. Huge physical defense as is, Will-o-Wisp to boost that further, Leech Seed to heal you and to whittle down the foe's health (which, together with Will-o, takes 25% of a foe's health per turn), Protect and Phantom Force for a STAB and for the fact that those 2 moves together make you unhittable every 2 out of 3 turns, the foe loses 50% of their HP while you're not even hittable and they hardly leave a scratch when they do hit. Seriously, this thing soloed even Solaris Garchomp for me. To get Protect and Will-o, use Yamask in E12. -Another alternative for a wall would be Encore, Toxic, Leech Seed, Infestation Whimsicott, but it's very luck-reliant. Either you come in and Encore the foe into a not-very-effective move or you die without putting up a fight.
  14. You having multiple attacks of the same type on the team doesn't matter if that's the coverage your set-up-sweeper benefits from the most. Though in this case, Rock Slide would be it, as it hits everything that your STABs don't. Then again, just the STABs are resisted only by Flying+Rock/Steel/Electric types, which are all either physical so they're no big threat or bad attackers like Skarmory, so you should also take a look at Rock Polish. After one RP, with 31 Speed IVs and 20 EVs, you outspeed even max speed Ninjask. Something to consider woth hiw bad it's special defence is. Also, forget Aeriap Ace, go Acrobatics. You don't need to hold a Toxic Orb if you've already been poisoned, just get into a random wild battle before any big fight.
  15. Fake Tears drops Sp.Def, actually. To be fair, you'd only ever really need Stun Spore as a way to let the rest of your team do work against a singular tough foe, the Ditto-Arceus, PULSEs, etc. Toxic is an option as well, but Stun Spore does the job much better. Memento is best used in combo with Encore, lock the foe into a move, weaken their offenses, go into something that can then set up on the weakened ineffective move. If you don't have some set-up-ers, Tailwind is a much better move to have when you know you're going down that turn.
  16. Really no need for Fake Tears. Leech Seed does little damage, considering Whimsicott's not-even-that-bad Sp.Atk. Protect is then also useless (and using a moveslot just to get a free turn of LS is a waste IMO). The way I see it, there's 3 sets you can run, an offense-centered one with Giga Drain, Moonblast, Tailwind/Stun Spore, Hurricane, a "tanky" one with Encore, Infestation, Leech Seed, Toxic/Giga Drain (Cotton Guard is an option, but it limits your usefulness against Special Attackers)(this one is very iffy, you either lock the foe into a not-very-effective move with Encore once you come in or you get killed instantly) and you can just go supporty with Tailwind/Stun Spore, Memento, Encore, a STAB.
  17. Check the guide here, just get Cheat Engine (google it, it's like the first result that shows up) and do the stuff mentioned in the guide, it'll take you like 1-2 minutes per 'mon. And yeah, SD is Swords Dance. And Escavalier and Accelgor are gotten by trading them for the other's pre-evolution, a guy in Spinel does that for you. Scope Lenses can be found in the Department Store and you get Night Slash by going to the relearner (or by level-up if you breed a new one). And about you saying you can't go back, download E12 from the guide. As soon as you beat the first gym leader after you enter the circus, save and launch the game from the E12 folder, you can then go back through the Agate checkpoint and go back to the city.
  18. If you just got to Agate, beat the next 2 gyms and you can get a Snover, which gets Ice Punch. Breed that and Dragon Dance onto Feraligatr. You'll also get the Waterfall HM soon-ish. Keep Crunch. There's also a Life Orb in the game and Sheer Force negates LO recoil if a move is affected by SF. Honestly, SD is bad. While it is bulky, it's guaranteed to be worn down due to it's low speed. Give it Drill Run and Knock Off. Or keep SD and give it Drill Run, but I'd go with 4 attacks. Drapion gets SD and Agility/Dig via breeding in pre-E13, check the pinned guide in this section for details. Anyways, definitely go with SD, no reason to run Hone Claws. Dig/Agility is your choice, I'd go with Dig to make sure no special attacker outspeeds and just OHKOs you. Also, ditch Crunch and Poison Fang. Give it Night Slash, level up once more to get Cross Poison and give it a Scope Lens as held item. A high-crit move with a Scope Lens has a 50% crit chance. Don't worry about Girafarig being your only Ghost attacker. Since Radomus, Ghost and Dark coverage are nigh useless, not worth a slot unless it's a STAB or desperately needed for coverage. So you wanna replace it, get a Reuniclus, those are not only strong on their own, it's a very reliable setter of Trick Room, which your team could find useful. Regenerator with Psychic, Trick Room, Shadow Ball, Energy Ball/Hidden Power. EB is gotten via E12 breeding, Swirlix>Castform>Solosis. Soooo do you wanna keep 'im? If you do, go back to pre-E13, breed Camerupt>Swinub>Phanphy/Donphan to get Rock Slide and Ice Shard onto it. Also visit a Move Relearner and give it Knock Off, Fire Fang or Thunder Fang (I'd say Knock Off, 100 BP if the foe has an item). There sure are better. The best Fire types in Reborn are Ninetales, Arcanine, Darmanitan and Chandelure. I'd usually say "what you wanna use is up to you", but If you're using Trick Room with Reuniclus (which your team really would benefit from lots), then Darmanitan or Chandelure are ridiculously good. Sets would be Sheer Force with Flare Blitz, Hammer Arm, Rock Slide, something (I'd usually mention Dig, but a 2-turn move is obviously not good for Trick Room's limited duration, so give it whatever, maybe Facade from the game Corner?) for Darmanitan and Flame Body with Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Energy Ball, Memento/Psychic (Energy Ball via Swirlix>Castform>Litwick, Energy Ball and Psychic via Swirlix>Castform>Solosis>Litwick) for Chandelure. Let everything that's in that box stay there. Unless you wanna replace Donphan, Bouffalant can work very well since you have TR. Other replacement options for Donphan also exist, good Ground types, for you would be Krookodile, Nidoking, Mamoswine, Golurk and Diggersby, Krook especially is great since you have TR, though all of those work even without it (except for Golurk).
  19. The main-games' shiny rate is 8/65535 (1 in every 8000-ish), while Reborn's is 700/65535 (~1.07%).
  20. So new D.Gray-Man chapter went up today, it's reserialized. Hoooooooly shit, excuse me while I go re-read the entire series now

    1. Felicity

eyyy, more reason to continue reading

      Holy Plot Twist, Batman!

  21. Well, looking at her Kiki's line-up, there's no Sp.Def monster there, so no wonder. Moonblast is almost twice as strong. And the health regain doesn't matter, you'd be setting up on Special attackers anyways, CM will get your Sp.Def so high, you can easily just use a potion to heal off all damage. Then again, it's a Gardevoir, you're doomed the moment a physical attacker comes out anyways, just do what you will
  22. It's still only 25%, much less than his Magnezone or Excadrill can do to Ciel in a single hit. He also said he's past E15 which means he's past every gym type that's weak to Stealth Rocks
  23. Oh, um, sorry if that sounded harsh, wasn't meant to. I can be rather dense when it comes to noticing that at times, haha
  24. Again, hazards are pointless since, unlike comp, the AI only switches out once in a blue moon. Also, it's only got 90 Base Attack, and Gyro Ball's power calculation is 25 × (Target's Current Speed / User's Current Speed), which means the foe would have to be 6 times faster for it to be max damage (150). A no EV, Brave, average IV Forretress' Gyro Ball against no EV Ninjask is only 87 BP.
