  1. But Ninetales is my Showdown ace...nevermind that's Venusaur. I like her having a Darmanitan better even though that means she won't hit as hard. Something didn't just settle in right when she had two of her ace.
  2. Eh. While I don't disagree with the advice, I don't necessarily agree with it. If you get so worked up in trying to perfect your cards or playstyle, you'll be missing out on a whole different world. Generally, I try to have a bit of fun and all that other stuff usually just clicks for me after a while. In reality, I'm pretty sure my PC is going to be more remembered by her personality than her battling skills which again makes me question why I picked protagonist.
  3. I just saw Ame's post after all this time and all I have to say is YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Seriously, I would love seeing that battle being back because of how strategic you had to be (outside the cheap use Ninetales method). It'd make me even happier if it was a double again (but I won't complain if it's not). I'm a bit surprised Corey didn't get more votes (then again, I'm probably thinking about when he had Haunter). No matter what playthrough, he always seems to give me a lot of trouble. I probably struggled a lot more on him compared to Charlotte as well.
  4. @Main group: I think I'm gonna jumpstart you guys back up when I find time to make a post. For right now, I'm going to divide you guys into two after the fight, one being the more active and one you can choose if you want to be on standby for the time being. For right now, any who is inactive for about a week or two will be put in the standby group while everyone else sticks with the main (if you want to be put in one or the other just post something here or in a PM).
  5. 6/10, but by taking half of that...HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED
  6. Would you believe me if I told you this battle is still much easier than Pre-nerf Serra? Imagine this battle, but only being able to hit the Pokemon 20% of the time.
  7. What is this shiny you speak of? There are no shinies in Reborn...just different colored ones that's all.
  8. You know, this thread gave me an interesting idea for a challenge mode of the game. I'm gonna test around with it a bit before making a thread. It's more based on getting those never touched mons used a bit more.
  9. Every step GF/The Pokemon series does to move towards a challenging game like Reborn, they take three steps back (especially now with Gen VI). They just cater way too much to the younger audiences. I mean I'm not expecting Reborn level difficulty with their games, but I'd at least like to see them step up to Colosseum's difficulty, or at least back to Platinum's.
  10. I'm pretty incompetent about my battle skills, but I'm rather busy this weekend so I probably won't get much battling done over the weekend. There's something I'd kind of like you guys to know before we start. If you want to interact with my PC (especially when I'm not on), please make a little note at the top or bottom of your post. It makes me be able to respond a lot faster and not have to read through all the posts and accidentally miss it. That's only during times when there are a ton of posts going on.
  11. If it makes anyone feel better, I'm pretty sure I'll be the Tristan of the RP. I actually had to watch a tutorial video to remember the different phases.
  12. I'm not too sure as this RP has it's own custom rules. (I'm still learning about the new stuff before dueling, but I'm starting to get the hang of it now after connecting the cards). I guess if there's no issue with any of the rulesets you might be able to use it instead, but DN seems to be the safer option so far.
  13. When Tangrowth used Thundershock
  14. My username is the same as my Showdown: RBRN Commander now give me a moment to figure these doohickeys out.
  15. Yeah, I'm waiting for the Shiftry event to finish before approaching Robert. Honestly though, I'm not sure how Henry would react to a dancing Ludicolo (he certainly wouldn't be dancing that's for sure).
  16. The issue was at one point Ame and her team didn't know what TMs were going to be where. Do you see that one random nerdy NPC in the grand hall that you can't talk to. IIRC that is/was going to be a TM vendor once the game was fleshed out enough.
  17. I'll admit Samson doesn't get the credit he deserves. That Hariyama and Mienshao were tough to beat so I figured those were his weak Pokemon so I grinded up my team 2-3 levels and Typhlosion right before the cap. Sure I swept him pretty hard, but that was only because I had a Gardevoir who could tank even a Mienshao's Poison Jab. Roserade was also kind of broken one shotting half his team with a majorly boosted Petal Dance. If the field had a couple minor tweaks, he'd be a bit more challenging to fight (I'm scarred of Ciel though if we have to fight her in that field).
  18. Just editing it is fine. Better to learn to use that now because it's going to become your best friend in the RP section.
  19. Alrighty, I'll go with zombie themed deck and Lancelot then. Someone's going to have to help me (probably just building a deck for me would be easier) because I don't remember too many of Zombie cards. We should make Call of the Haunted OP like in the anime though.
  20. Both the following statements are true. Vanillite is available by buying a vanilla ice cream from the machine (you have to work for it to get it though).
  21. Sadly, I don't think it's the leaders, but by the time you get to that point, you already have a really nice team. What made Luna difficult for me was that huge level gap (at this point I think I was just reaching 48-50 range). It really just depends on your team how difficult they are. For example, I used a lot of Pokemon available through the first few areas of the game and struggled through just about every leader multiple times. Then I got to Noel (pre-nerf version) and he was ridiculously easy for me. I mean like not even try easy yet Sigmund could completely sweep me before that battle.
  22. Edit: Yep, I'm probably going to use her seeing as nobody is going to try playing something close to her (I'll have to changer her personality around a bit). Ymora RPers, you already know who I'm talking about (cough*Citrine*cough). ------------------------------------------------------------------ Name: Luna Fitzgerald Gender: Female Appearance: can be found here. As for clothing, just everyday wear with nothing too fancy. Personality: Luna is an upbeat and outgoing girl, even at very inappropriate times. This is due to her carefree and optimistic nature. Seeing this girl angry or frustrated is a rare treat. Backstory: Luna grew up in a pretty normal life with a mom, dad, and a brother a few years older than her. While she enjoyed playing Monster Cards (I think that's what it's called), most of the people she lived around were either way beyond her skill level or didn't know how to play so she never got too good with them. She entered the school system trying hard not to fall in dead last in term of battling. Number Holder Y/N: Yes? I think. Deck of choice: Here's her personality test while I work on the app and research some Yu-Gi-Oh stuff: The Lovers (100%) The Fool (97%) The Wheel of Fortune (78%) The Star (72%) The Moon (72%)
  23. Let's see here... -I managed to lock myself out of the house in -12 degree weather -Somehow managed to lose a five pound set of keys at work -and I've locked my keys in the car...twice. Keys are not my friends.
