  1. "Just make sure Archylx knows you're the boss and things will settle down. I don't know how control that kind of behavior though. Gypsy, the infamous berry thief, is going to eat a load of berries one way or another so we kind of negotiated in the middle." Henry looked around noticing Rosie still wasn't back from her journey. He really didn't want to leave Raiza like this, especially with Lucifer in that state, but he had little choice. "Sorry to leave you so soon, but I sent Rosie on a little fetch quest a little bit ago. She's probably distracted or something, but I'm just going to check on her to make sure." Henry didn't even hesitate a second to leave. He simply beamed Paradox into her Poke Balls while the other two followed closely behind.
  2. Well, I really don't need a Crobat considering Gypsy of all things. Also, I was going to call Aerodactyl Alucard because he kind of looked like Dracula. Edit: As for the team, Year 1 will focus on the main six while Year 2 focuses mostly on the new guys and Rosie with a couple cameos from the original six.
  3. But Chim you already have two flying types. Hawlucha, Aerodactyl (aka the king of the sky), Drifblim, Swanna/Pelipper, and Tropius are all the ones that pop out at me as unique.
  4. @Turbo: So I'm not the only one looking at Magnet Rise. Raichu (still not named) will be learning that in the mid 50s to 60s if you want to reference that. The earliest I'd say is in the 40s because Burrows goes from decent to major threat at that point. Also, why does Bird Jesus get no love? I mean that Mega is not something to laugh at.
  5. No, no, I think there should be a battle and it should go on like normal, but Kenny would be fixed to loose. It'll be a good experience to learn how to handle future fights better. After all, practice makes perfect.
  6. "That's really odd," Henry responded. "Most of mine Pokemon get along just fine with each other. Sure, there's a bit of chaos here and there, but they don't exactly show hatred towards one another. There was a point where Zuko and Gypsy looked like they were about to beat each other to death, but once I had them compete with each other in simple things like Volley Ball, things calmed down and really got along with each other. Maybe playing a game would break the ice, but that'd have to wait for another time. I'm thinking about training Paradox a bit more now since Burrows has been starting to get the hang of fighting." He reached his hand out and patted the little Togepi on the head. Paradox woke up and entered her playful mood once again kicking her arms in legs all around. "Believe it or not, she really likes battling and doesn't cry when taking a hits. It's going to take a lot of work, but I'm willing to go through with this if she is." Paradox heard Henry's words loud and clear. She became so excited she slipped out of Raiza's arms and began running all around. Well, running in place to be exact. Gypsy caught sight of the runaway and released a weak Psybeam on her. Burrows couldn't help but chuckle seeing as Paradox was oblivious to the whole situation. "I fear what's going to happen when you evolve," mumbled Henry. ((Sorry Zeph for bunnying Paradox from you.))
  7. I guess this is kind of where we both agree to disagree. Henry's a coordinator so sticking with the same moves wouldn't be doing much for him (I also feel like getting new moves while we can keeps things fresh). The only reason I mentioned Vacuum Wave is that the move does have flaws like any other move. The term sitting duck isn't the best way to describe it, but it'll feel like one when you realize the flaws (it's really, really obvious when you think deeply about it). As for the Sandstorm, I really thought a lot of my Pokemon through including when the opponent would get benefits from Sandstorm and counter against Sandstorm users. That's why I wanted to say something before you trap yourself onto something. I'm only one person who's also in a different system so that strategy may still work well against others. By the way, I've only ever a little more than half a season of the anime so whenever someone brings something up from there I really don't know what you're talking about. Generally, I base my attacks of the game descriptions and usually slightly deviate from there to make them fit battling better.
  8. Yeah, I was trying to get the topic back on track, but people keep persisting on some ridiculous requests...and the axes (I think we already covered any of the major ones). Yeah, I'm fine with a few, but don't cut things like Trapinch. It may be a little OP when it fully evolves, but the pains you have to suffer kind of earn you that strength (same goes for Noibat). Keckleon is another insteresting Pokemon to move back. I don't know how many people would use it considering Protean Froakie, it'd make for some interesting playthroughs (and completely screw around with Aya and Shade).
  9. Zerron, I think putting Sandstorm on Erce might do more harm than good for you. I'm not going to go into much detail on the team, but most of my Pokemon would be able to completely curb-stomp any trick you do with those effortlessly. Heck, two of them would greatly benefit from those tactics. (Sandstorm I also feel is more of a defensive weather effect than an offensive one...I would know considering I wanted T-tar beforehand). As for Vacuum Wave, I feel the move will have fallen from grace by the time we reach the final moves. Sure, it's a good counter for fire attacks, but the sitting duck strategy is gonna make it a double edge sword. I'm not saying to get rid of it, but don't limit yourself to old or fixed tactics when a new one might be far better. I was going to drop Mud Sport after this chapter, but now, I might keep it around for a bit longer despite not needing it.
  10. Kenny, I think you misunderstood what Zerron said. That was his polite way of saying GTFO!
  11. If Ame didn't axe Pokemon, a team consisting of the lines of Blaziken, Roserade, Alakazam, Scrafty, Manectric, and Gyarados would be available before Florinia. The game already went through this song and dance once when Gen VI was implemented and things aren't miserable or screwed up, in fact, I feel it's much better. The ones that are getting axe likely aren't the ones you can use to exploit a gym, but the ones that basically appear on 80% of teams due to majorly outclassing everything or there not being any other options.
  12. When Raiza saw he was there, Henry simply responded by saying, "Long enough." He then noticed start turning red which he figured it has something to do with her singing. He had no idea why she'd be embarrassed about it, but he decided to play along. "I'm sorry, is this a bad time? I just came here to take Paradox off you hand. She can be quite a handful."
  13. I feel like I speak for the majority of the people by saying I use the default theme (which I believe is the Absol). I don't know why, but it feels so right considering Reborn is a dark and murky city in it's current state.
  14. Yeah, it was between Manectric and Raichu. Seeing as Manectric wasn't going to be my Mega, and I don't really need fire type attacks, Raichu was the clear winner. By the way, Exlink, I think I found the perfect Pokemon to replace Staraptor with because I could totally see Slade riding one of these.
  15. Aww, I wanted to mess with your head a little bit saying your game was broken. Yes, all Pokemon are going to have custom shinies by Episode 15. Most of them are already implemented though.
  16. I kind of want to kill this pseudo stuff before it keeps going on. It's not going to really matter when you get a pseudo. If you really want it, you'd be willing to spend time to grind it up no matter where it is in the game. If you don't want to use it, it'd just be a pretty trophy in the box. There's not much else to discuss as all of them have fantastic uses and getting them early would mean easier exploit that level gap like shoving them into the daycare and picking them back up when they're almost ready to fully evolve. Power grinding is actually pretty fast as I was able to knock out half the Pokedex in like 4 hours so I don't know what the big deal is. As for Pikachu, it's kind of like Manectric. Julia's AI is kind of weird and would make Pikachu able to sweep her with Lightning Rod which is why Electrike needs to be moved backed a tiny bit (not replaced). Pikachu is a pretty nice Pokemon and not OP without the Light Ball. I don't actually know why people don't use it because T-wave and Static would be helpful against Florinia's Cradily (probably because it's a Pichu). I kind of like it's current location because it's fun seeing Pichu run on the roof. I just looked at Hariyama and holy cow that's a lot of attack power and hp. I see why everybody is saying to axe it now. I don't think Shade is the best example of a gym leader to base off of because you can get a ton of dark types way before his gym (including Houndoom and Sharpedo) so I doubt Hariyama would make a difference there. I wouldn't push the Magam/Aqua boss fight back though because if you're able to beat them at that low of a level, you earned being able to sweep Shade.
  17. The story is pretty set in stone at this point (only changes were minor additons like DJ Arclight and Addrienn...I think) so there'd be no point. I'm sure Florinia will make a return and hopefully kick Fern's ass for us (that won't happen anytime soon considering where he's at). As for Shade, there's no question he'll return. He's just rather mysterious so you can't really predict him.
  18. I'd love to hear advice on Henry (then again, can one even predict what's to be expected from him?). His fighting style is kind of based on how I fought over on the PO server. I think I have a pretty good idea of Mareek's fighting style and Slade probably gave him horrible advice. Okay, I finally reworked the team to take Rotom out of the equation (as much as I like the Pokemon, I don't like having a dupes with another PC). Normally, I'd keep it a surprise, but I kind of want to know if anyone is considering any of these especially the reserves. The reserves I'm very picky with so not many Pokemon can replace them. And yes, I finally decided to drop the almighty Aerodactyl who was originally going to be my Mega.
  19. Actually, we're about due for another Rival battle. The last one we had was with Cain against Radoumus which happened Four badges ago. With Cain and Fern and a whole boatload of leaders out of the picture right now, there's not very many options for a rival left. I can't exactly say for sure, but I can almost guarantee somebody is going to be coming back next episode or the following one.
  20. Here's the thing about the Tynamo line: it's only useable once it reaches somewhere around lv 55. Getting it that early means you'll have to slowly level it up (it is an experience hog too) and not be able to use it until Samson. During this time, you'd have access to Mareep, Magneton, Chinchou, Voltorb, Pikachu, Pachirusu, Helioptile, Jolteon, Emolga, and the list goes on and on. I feel it's in it's proper place because you at least get through the painful part (I Audino trained one on my Black game...Leveling up a Deino in that area was way faster). There's a big difference between a rewarding grind and a ludicrous one. If you don't believe me, try grinding an Egg Tynamo off wild Pokemon around the Grand Hall before moving to the next and see how long it takes you before you give up on it. (At least the one we get is a trade...that helps a lot). Moving on though, do you think Audino would be good if it were available about where Happiny was. While Blissey is great competitively, it really falls from grace in this game making it a bit of a wasted spot. Audino has a bit more offensive power, but it doesn't learn too many good moves so it'd be a good balance.
  21. I'm kind of with Ame and say Makuhita should stay where it is or be available shortly after Florinia. Pushing it back that far would make it never used as there are so many better options at that point. I do agree Pancham needs to be pushed back because it's not that good and there's a freaking Scraggy where you can catch it. (If needed it might not be a bad idea to just switch the two). I'll reiterate on the Electrike vs Joltik. Joltik is pretty bad until it evolves. I was actually going to use Galvantula for the Radomus fight, but that level is what turned me away. Seriously, I feel it's in the perfect spot, just a bit underleveled. Tynamo wouldn't work either because that Pokemon is horrible I mean HORRIBLE, and takes forever to level up into a pretty sucky Eeletrik. It's really only good once it evolves into Eelektross. I actually think we might see more use out of the Eel in later episodes seeing who we're up against (probably would've worked well against Terra's Excadrill). Now if Manectric was too powerful for the early game (which it's not due to it's limited learning movepool), Blitzle would be the best replacement. Though Flame wheel would make it problematic with the Shelly fight so I'd suggest him being available afterward. Very underrated Pokemon that's for sure and it'd be great considering it starts better than Manectric.
  22. After cleaning himself up, Henry left the waiting room to search for his Togepi. For a moment, he regretted sending Rosie off for a different errand because she'd be able to pick up the Togepi's cries rather quickly. It didn't matter those as he heard a bit of singing nearby. Once he got a little bit closer, he saw Raiza signing to little Paradox, but it looked like she was enjoying her time with Paradox. He just silently leaned against a wall and waited for her to finish.
  23. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to reject your app. The changes I asked still haven't been made and it's been almost a month since I last saw you around here. The conditions have also changed since your app and your PC would have to start off with a bronze sword. As for the rest of y'all, I'm on spring break so I'll be able to get to posting a bit more.
  24. Honestly, there'd be no point in encrypting the game. I've only seen a handful of people use cheats with most of them just for speeding up grinding (I have done this for the Pokedex), faster breeding, and money. None of the three really effect the experience that much (maybe the money one, but it's pretty easy to get money after a certain point).
  25. I feel like Electrike is perfect where it is, but shouldn't be available until after Julia because of it's high level and how exploitable it is. There's really not much I'd say to replace it because Galvantula probably would be too powerful (it also is in a good spot). As for the Azurine Island Pokemon, I don't think those should be touched with either. Yes, the early game is lacking water, but some of those Pokemon can be rather good. I think most people just kind of glaze the place over due to better Pokemon being available beforehand or shortly after so there's not much else that can be done. Maybe removing Goldeen and putting Poliwag there, but that's all that should be done.
