  1. Radomus. Despite that battle being very easy for me (Honchkrow and Excalvier ftw!), I really enjoyed the entirety of that chapter. Radomus was really a mysterious fellow and that chess maze. You won't see anything like than in a real Pokemon game because it made you think a bit.
  2. Well I remembered another one. Back when Ep 13 was released, I forgot to save and walked straight into the Astar and Eclipse battle. The battle actually went rather smooth and I almost had them beat until my last Pokemon fainted. Electivire was the only remaining Pokemon and was in the red while Aya still had her Gengar. I was relieved because all she had to do was Shadow Ball that thing to KO it. Nope! The thing decided to use Icy Wind causing me to lose the battle. The worst part of it was that Aya disappeared and I had to fight them by myself then and my golly was it hard (Roserade was 1-shotting everything though).
  3. On my first Playthrough I exploited the AI and mechanics to hell using Rain Dance to nerf Fire Fang enough so that a Reflect Alakazam could survive it. I remember Cherubbi being just strong enough to survive and Leech Seed after Arbok's intimidate so that Alakazam and Blastoise could out stall four full restores. It was a hard and epic fight. My second team got steamrolled with no shot though.
  4. Give it about a week. Sometimes there are some late comers. (Looks up archetypes) I'm now completely lost again. I'll probably do what I did with Pokemon and pick a random one based off the personality and somehow not suck with it. As for the role, be my guest and play it. The role generally tends to be my strong suit, but I try to mix it up once in a great while.
  5. 358/2 I have no PS4 so no KH 3 for me.
  6. I'm kind of inbetween on whether or not to join this. I'll try reading up on all that new stuff you guys are talking about beforehand. Though I will say seeing all those positive and laid back characters tempts me to play the a-hole jerk role again.
  7. It's a bit more complicated than that deary. Mapping doesn't take too long with the pallet creation taking the longest (I've only done a bit of hacking, but I assume RPGmaker is somewhat similar). So there might be days it shoots up rather fast. Some of the catagories are going to move faster than others making some days go about 0% and other days move 2-3%. Of course, that's all just speculations. The only reliable information would be the sub-catagories.
  8. I can understand that. (I've been rather lucky recently so I haven't been so busy). I really can't give advice on how to develop characters because sometimes it just happens naturally (seriously, I'm like never out of ideas. Even when I'm out of ideas I still have ideas). As for motivation, sometimes you gotta go through the cringeworthy stuff to move towards the really good ideas.
  9. Krim, I is confuzzled a bit. I'm probably going to make a note on the enemy units from now on, but could you tell me which one you were attacking as the only two living enemies are the fire mage and the remaining Mercenary. (I feel like it's the mercenary, but I wanted to make sure).
  10. Oh I can one up this one. In Chrysolia Forest, I noticed I was running very low on super potions (when the fan game was young, we didn't get all that nice candy stuff). I simply shrugged it off saying I'd buy some when I got to the town since there was already going to be a mart there. My face was priceless when that Mart disappeared. Seriously, I wanted to cry when I beat Hax Serra and I bought 40 super potions afterwards.
  11. Generally, I'm looking in areas from the start of the game up until the wasteland (or the end of railnet cave to be exact). Once we get past that point, we start getting a whole bunch of good Pokemon that outclass any of the filler Pokemon found in those areas. The other reason is that I don't want to dive too far into Serra's territory yet since she's getting revamped likely which could mean any number of things. As for Swinub, he's fine now since you can't get Mamoswine until after Aya.
  12. ...I only remember like ten cards though and they probably all suck or got completely revamped to the point I'd just say "Give me a deck, doesn't matter what kind of deck, just as long as an eight year old could use it well."
  13. The original Noel (10-10.5) wasn't too hard IMO (except that Clefable). I can understand removing Staraptor though because that thing could hit hard and his team was already pretty good. Originally, he led with Mincinno and that thing in and of itself was a challenge to take down. If you don't OHKO it (which you probably won't), expect to be hit hard by at least Tail Slap (unless you have a Steel type). I haven't fought any of the old leaders with their new field effects (except Julia) so I can't tell you which leaders were nerfed and buffed, but Serra was the only leader who was nerfed hard for the 10.5 release. Aya and Florinia were toned down a little bit and a couple leaders got new Pokemon, but that's about it.
  14. I'm going to say OH HELL NO! to Bergmite being available in the early game. Yeah it's not a problem as a Bergmite, but when it evolves, you got yourself a mothertrucking physical tank with a lot of offensive power. Yeah, it's special defense is weak, but with curse, this thing will laugh at high jump kicks and probably be able to retaliate quite well when it gets avalanche. I think it's good where it's at too, it just gets the poor overlooked because of Charlotte treatment (it'd be fantastic against Terra though). I looked up Beartic and it seems alright so I guess it could compete with Seel for an early game spot (we already have Vanillite though). The issue with Snorunt isn't Glalie, but Frosslass. I'm not sure how big of an issue it'd be considering you could get both roughly at the same point in time. Actually, I don't see either being a problem because of the move tutor being moved back and Shade already providing Shadow Ball for a big chunk of Pokemon.
  15. Fine. I caved in to the Foxening. I'm not changing my name though.

    1. Flux

      Flux

This is enough. You've done well.

  16. I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh for about 12 years now, but damn, it's like you're all talking in a foreign language. Probably not going to join this one, but I'm intrigued so I might occasionally read through the chapters. The only concern I have is how you're going to handle important NPC battles with a system that might be more luck based (I ain't too sure because it's been 12 years which makes any of my info extremely outdated) than skill based.
  17. Smoochum used to be obtainable after Jasper Ward, but there aren't very many ice types that can be put in the early game. Snorunt and Seel are about the only one that can be moved back without being very problematic.
  18. If you're curious, the fire mage used a herb to heal the eye wounds. Those healing items are useful to heal up minor wounds or to keep you from bleeding to death, but if you take a stab or deep cut, you better find the priest/ess quickly. (Too bad that was the only one in this chapter...or was it?).
  19. Sadly, I think I'm the one guy that doesn't care about shinies. I mean some of them look really cool, but I prefer the normal sprites for some reason (except Shiny Ludicolo. He's the best shiny).
  20. Story of my fight against the Hax Queen Serra. After 60-70 resets, the RNG finally decided to bless me allowing for Glare to hit that Glaceon and to set up a Sunny Day + Leech Seed so that my Scrafty didn't get OHKO'd. I wanted to cry when I won that fight (you're all so lucky she's ridiculously easy now). Yeah, Reborn leaders will do that to you. At one point you feel confident you're going to win and then BAM! The hax comes in causing you to lose. I think Charlotte is the only leader I didn't have to reset against and that includes non-badge leaders like Sigmund and Cain.
  21. Dragonmasterkrim and Exlink The first mercenary wasn't expecting the thrust of Nemir's sword as he felt the weapon jab into his heart before the world faded to black. The Mercenary fell to the ground dead and lifeless. To the right of him, the purple haired soldier was struggling against his lance wielding opponent. Zach noticed this and released and arrow toward the enemy soldier hitting him right in the neck. The purple haired man gave a nod to thank the archer. While everyone was worked up in the chaos, the fire mage pulled out a small green plant and placed it on his face. While the burning sensation didn't feel too good, he was happy enough to regain his vision. He focused his attention back to the cowardly man who now was ramming himself against a door. The Fire Mage just gave a grin while he readied another fire spell, this time making sure to keep an eye on the archer. Meanwhile, the living mercenary noticed the incoming thief. Unlike the others, he had many years of experience fighting which he used to his advantage. He turned to the thief and managed to block the thief's attack. He already knew the bearded man wasn't going to stand idly and pushed back from the Yuri to block the incoming axe swing. "'ey, don't worry about me, I can handle this," lied the bearded man. He knew he was at the disadvantage, but there wasn't much he could do. "Take care of that mage for me 'cause I don't like my friends well done." He then shoved the mercenary back a bit ready to strike him again.
  22. It may sound a little odd, but since I already have everything Lunatone can use (outside of a handful of Status Moves) I decided to drop him and bring back one of the backup lists. Yes folk, Henry's going to be getting himself a Hitmontop Machamp. It may screw with the theme a little bit, but he suits my overall team a bit better.
  23. You kidding, those are pretty good IVs. My rule of thumb is anything above 15 is good, and above 20 is great. I mean my Gengar has all zero IVs except an 8 in attack and HP and he still performs quite well.
  24. Actually, I think Staryu would work well for the trade too. It's actually really fallen from grace and with the lack of tms, it's not going to stand out compared to Azumarill (and it learns Psychic at 42 or something). I mean when bubblebeam is your only good move until the 40s not everyone is going to keep it when something like that when Carvanha and Psyduck are available. If Ame thinks it's too good (which it isn't without Ice Beam and T-bolt) Chinchou could be brought back. As for Gligar, I think that Pokemon is fine where it is as Gliscor is going to be available in Ep 15 or 16/when we get back to Reborn City (I don't consider it a major spoiler since it's been circulated around for a while). The majority of the focus should be the Pokemon from post Railnet all the way up to Agate Circus because grinding is the hardest their due to Bouffalant not being a weak Pokemon, the healing centers are quite a ways away from each other, and other miscellaneous factors.
  25. I think Slaking would fit both the six Pokemon quota as well as only being able to use five. (I figure Slaking would be hella disobedient and lazy making him very hard to use and train). Speaking of teams, I already know Pichu and Petilil are going to be the final two members without question. The four reserves have a little special theme going on and it's better suited for year 2.
