Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Nessy knew he couldn't stay in the water for long as he could no longer see his opponent. He quickly emerged from the water and released his grip on the rock to land on a platform below. "Surround him with Ancient Power than hit him with Brine." Gerad still felt confident victory was his even after that little show. Nessy launched three rocks at to the Arcanine's left and right side as well as above his head (Ancient Power) before releasing another powerful pump from his body straight towards the foe (Brine).- 1255 replies

Who do you think will have the first mega that we have to fight?
Commander replied to deadpool848's topic in Reborn City
I think it'll be Pulse Tangrowth...oh wait... Truthfully, I don't think there will be any Megas until the Elite 4 if any. As with the League Rules, only the very high ranked leaders are even allowed to use Megas (and Legendaries). -

"Ancient Power quickly and dive underwater." The rocks on the platform quickly floated over to the airborn Nessy as he attached himself to the closest. Seeing as the Arcanine was charging toward him. He let the rock drop shooting him underwater. Once he was deep enough, he reactivated Ancient Power and moved a bit away from his attacker.- 1255 replies

It wouldn't have done you any good anyways (you'll find out why later).

Okay Azery, I just want to make sure of something. Are you picking Rotom and Machamp or are you not? If you're not using Rotom, I might use him over Raichu (lightining rod would be useful, but not vital) and if you're going for Machamp, I'd bring back Hitmontop because he's the only other one I can use the strategy with (probably not as effective though).

"What the..." Gerad was shocked at the sudden actions making him forget to give orders. That blow definitely wasn't good on his Lileep, but this was far from over. He quickly snapped and began giving orders again. "Confuse Ray then Ancient Power on the platform." Nessy, still in Flare's grip, released a ball of light that lapped around the Arcanine's head. While this little trick was happening, the rocks from before rose up from the water and slammed on top of the platform.- 1255 replies

That was exactly my thought process when going through the options. Honestly, I don't care for egg moves that much because I'm that weird guy who'd kick butt with a really crappy pokemon (Looks at Emolga). As for the first option, I chose A. The problem ain't with the Pokemon levels. It's that there really isn't a good place to grind until around Charlotte so people are going to prioritize one Pokemon over another based on how useful it'll be in the long run. Why would you waste your time grinding up a Lv Piplup a couple levels and have to waste a whole bunch of heart scales when you could already have had a Mudkip with all its good moves in a place easy to grind it.

Henry While the conversation was going on, Rosie began to twitch. With her great hearing, she was able to pick up the voice of someone yelling. The voice seemed very familiar and said a couple things Henry would like to know. She twitched a bit more while pointing to the door. As soon as the old man left, Henry looked down and noticed his Delcatty's actions. He then looked back at Robert. "You'll have to excuse me. It seems something's come up that needs my attention." He then left the room following his ace, not even waiting for Robert to respond. From the Delcatty's reaction he already this wasn't going to be something he'd enjoy. After a little bit, he made his way over to the healing center to just in time to hear the end of Danielle's and Lana's conversation. The Delcatty was a bit confused as she was sure she heard a man's voice. She looked around the room seeing nobody who fit the picture. This confused the Delcatty a little bit. Henry glared at the Delcatty for what seemed to be a waste of time. He simply walked up to Danielle asking, "You mind telling me what went down here. Don't even try lying because I know that Delcatty over there heard some commotion." ------------------------------------------------- Gerad The trainer couldn't help but sigh seeing Slade persist in this unwinnable situation. "Brine again." The Lileep followed orders blocking the fire attack once more, but this time the move was headed towards the Arcanine.- 1255 replies

Personally, I use a Scarf-Trick Alakazam. It's a fun way to stop a sweeper. Anyways, here's one we all know and love: If you don't know about this guy, then you need to play more Metagame. This guy is remembered for one thing: Leech Seed + Sub. Personally, I've used one in the past and it works great for a trick room team, but man this thing is annoying (sometimes unbeatable) if you don't throw a status effect on it which is actually why I love it. Here's another one: Harvest Trevenant Honestly, I'm surprised this one isn't used more in the UU tier (or whatever tier it was moved to). With a Sitrus Berry slapped onto it, this thing can last a very long time combined with Leech Seed. I uhh...can't really think of anything else to say because I haven't used one myself.

Perfect. It was just as Gerad predicted. Suddenly, Nessy halted his water attack as the platform rocked back and forth until it halted. It may not have been seen too well, but the Lileep began to glow again. While Flare jumped to the next platform the remaining boulder was already on its way to hit the target. The moment Flare released his Flame Burst, the boulder was mere inches away from hitting him (Ancient Power). "Block it with Brine." Nessy, still on the side of the platform released another water attack to put out the flames. Fortune was on the Arcanine's side as it was way to angled to even come close to hitting him. The Lileep then crawled up to stand on the top of the platform. "Do us both a favor and give up now," spoke Gerad. "I already showed you that little fire attack of yours can't hit Nessy leaving you without any options."- 1255 replies

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]

"Release," ordered Gerad. Nessy quickly let go of the boulder just as the fire attack flew right above him. "Alright, now Brine and grip to the platform." The Lileep understood what his trainer was planning. He took a moment to charge up and release a powerful water jet from his mouth causing him to blast forward to Flare (Brine). Once he was close enough, he slammed the lower half of his body into the platform. Combined with the powerful jet from Nessy's mouth, the platform then began to slowly tip.- 1255 replies

I didn't mention this, but the Lileep is actually upside down due to its weight. And don't worry, this isn't my only trick I have for the Lileep. Also, that'll be my last post until late tonight as I have work. Edit: I might be having a little too much fun with this Lileep (maybe I should get a Cradily...nah, I like Lilligant better).

"Nessy, Ancient Power," ordered Gerad. The Lileep obeyed orders summoning a few boulders in front of him. While the main attack was blocked, the bursting of the attack still managed to land stinging him a bit (Ancient Power - Manga Version). "Alright, it's time to fly. Don't forget to blind it with Acid." The Lileep hopped to the best of it's ability onto the closest boulder and latched on using it's suction cups. Nessy began to glow as he and the boulder headed towards Flare. He wasn't yet though as he launched a quick purple goo right at the big dog (Acid).- 1255 replies

(Zander, Ken, Arial, and Minerva) Luna moved over to Zander's shoulder to peer over and see what card he was looking. While the monster looked kind of cute, Luna cared little for it. She preferred scary and creepy cards over anything. She also felt a little bad after seeing his reaction to her words. Around her neighborhood, people cared little when someone called them out like that so it was no big deal. "You know, looking at a card ain't gonna help you with your women troubles. If you needed a little help, all you had to do was ask. Here, I'll show you how it's done. Luna away!" The red head made her way over to a blonde hair girl calmly sitting at her desk. Luna placed both hands on Minerva's desk gazing straight into her eyes. "Hey there girl. Sorry to bother you, but you looked a bit lonely over here. Care if I join you for a little bit? I'm Luna by the way."

Oh Zerron. If I wanted to win, I pretty much could have Lileep jump into the water and use Ingrain from there seeing as he could still attack Flare with Ancient Power. No, I'm merely testing Exlink's abilities to overcome a disadvantage.
-
Actually, Aegislash isn't as good in the RP compared to competetively due to it's ability being a double edged sword (get it...because it's actually a...okay I'll stop). It takes a bit more strategy than spamming king's shield because that move locks you into defense mode...which can give some Pokemon a big advantage. Exlink, unfortunately for you, I won't be using Ingrain if I control Lileep. That'd make the fight WAAAY too easy.

Oh! I actually forgot another case of aces. Bennet's Volcarona is used by Charlotte. @Qaaz: We're not talking about in terms of repeated Pokemon, but the sig Pokemon each Leader used on the league servers ie Cal used Magmortar, Serra used Froslass, Titania used Scizor, etc. There have been plenty of cases of repeated Pokemon already.

Azery, you mind if I control Gerad's team. I have a pretty good idea how to run this moveset and give Slade a very interesting battle.
-
Boy, are you trying to start another cold war?

If this happened in Ch 4, I'll just say Gypsy would not be a very fun opponent to fight on that field.
