  • V13.5 Mini Update | Current Progress + Character Art!

    Hey, hi, hello! It's a post from me this time! Yes, yes, the fanfare is wonderful. Just beautiful. Love it.
    Anyway, let's get on with the post!

    So, first thing's first. What's up with V13.5? I've said it's been almost done for a while, and yes that's always been true. However, recently I've made a ton of progress, particularly on the Renegade Route. It's shaping up to be my favorite part of the game so far. It's fast-paced, fun, and has a lot of good moments, I feel. The dev team has been testing it in rounds as well and it's been REALLY well received and I'm so happy about that.

    Recency bias and all, though, yeah?

    In terms of what is done, let's take a looksie.

    Paragon Route: 80%
    Renegade Route 70%
    Terajuma Arc - 95%
    GDC Arc - 80%
    Early Game Changes - 99%

    I'm hoping to begin testing in another month or two. 
    That's not all, but we have something cool to show! The character select screen got an overhaul, and two characters have gotten a wardrobe update!

    Most of my work has been with the Renegade Route, and while I'd love to show things from that, literally every frame of it is a spoiler in some capacity. So... Yeah. I don't have really anything to show in that regard. 

    We're way past the schedule I wanted, but tl:dr, a close family member of mine was diagnosed with cancer and it's been really hard to do things like normal. I know things are taking long, but please be patient! I don't intend this post to be sad or anything, but it is the reality of my situation.

    Very nice artwork on protagonists (Mostly Aevis because it's truly the best).

    Oh boy, I cannot wait to sink my teeth into this update! Jan, I hope you are well and happy! If this update fixes Bladestar then I'll be a happy camper.

    The drip is immaculate, Aevis in particular with the crazy upgrade. Thank you Zumi for once again giving us thos beautiful art. Looking forward to everything to come. Wish you and your family all the best Jan!

    I just found this game about a month ago, and just an hour ago finished V13. This is without a doubt the best Pokemon fanmade - or mainline game - I've ever played. Absolutely incredible storywriting, character development, plot twists (I'M LOOKING AT YOU RISA/RUNE/ZETTA 😭.) Jan, you and the development team deserve all the praise you get and I understand that since it's a pokemon game you guys can't receive money (lest it be bombarded by TPC,) but I would give you all my money to help produce this if I could. You lot are all perfect human beings and devs ❤

    I recently lost my mother to cancer. It was tough. Made work, life and even writing difficult. She said to me shortly before she left that when she lost her mother she cried every day but one day she realized that she just stopped crying. She never forgot her or anything. Just stopped crying. Dealing with cancer is hard and I don't know if there is a "right" way but I hope you find the healthiest way possible. Keeping up the good work includes maintaining your well being. That being said, I hope you do. I hope your family gets better and feels... Rejuvenated. :)

    Ahhhg, this makes me want to play the Renegade route and see what kind of fun there is, but my metaphorical heart couldn't handle being enough of an evil dickhead to everyone to get on that route! I don't know what to do!

    If you look at photos of the hands of ppl with dark skin, they actually do look like that! There's not as much pigment/melanin in the palms of your hand or the soles of your feet as they're exposed much less often to the sun than the rest of your body, and it's especially notable on those w/ darker skin color, hence why the palms are lighter. I wanted to include that accuracy in Rejuv's art as well!

    Also, no offense, but how intensively did you have to play to finish the whole storyline in 1 month?! It took me well over a year to play V13 from the beginning. I did do every sidequest, but even the main story is such a long one.

    hell ya! excited for the update, how many things are changing in the early game, and whats considered early game exactly? Wondering cause I just started a new game but will wait depending on the changes

    AEVIS OMAG he's finally got a design that hits.. his design always felt off since the legacy sprite got changed back in 12 because I personally found that it lacked personality especially since aevis is supposed to be the heroic type as mentioned by crescent in v13. NOW HIS DESIGN IS GIVING THE PROTAGONIST OF THAT OME GOOD ANIME

    Wow I can't wait to experience Komm, Süsser Tod in Pokemon Rejuvenation!
    The Interceptor kills Melia for opposing their plans and Yvelta uses Decimation to destroy the world.

    As they stare out into the red sea for Taelia resort, this loss disturbs the interceptor greatly and they choke Madame X
    The NPCS and pokemon turn into Orange Fanta

    A game of this quality with almost 0 funding, I understand this takes time and life throws things at you., take all the time you need. Wishing all the best especially hoping the cancer is treatable.

    Very excited!! I know it'll all definitely be worth the wait, please take as much time as you need! Terribly sorry to hear about your family's struggle, I hope the situation improves soon. Thanks for all the hard work you've all put into the game, it's phenomenal!

    Family first. We can wait. Also, please, don't forget to take care of yourself through all this. I've been in your shoes as far as a family member with cancer is concerned. I lost a lot of sleep and mental health during the whole ordeal, all because I didn't take time to take care of myself. Best wishes, and hope everything turns out for the better, even if it doesn't feel like it at the time.

    What's the Renegade and Paragon route? We going full on Mass Effect?

    Some friends told me about this game back in October, like a fool, I started things up in intense mode. while its been an intense, frustrating and absolutely wild ride, its been the best pokemon experience I've ever had. I just didn't realize it wasn't fully finished yet and now I can't wait to see where things go. Thanks for making this game, keep doing this awesome work guys ^^

    ha I finished the game in less then a week cause its too hard to stop. I didn't know how good people can be in making fan games but this is off the charts like this game can be sold for 60 dollars and still would be worth more the pokemon scarlet and violet (the average price of the game) Its incredible and I don't know what to play now cause well I am looking for a long game and I am not sure how long is desolation.

    Hi I just recently finished reborn, and was looking to get into rejuvenation, but everytime i download it and try to open it, it says that Rejuvenation has quit unexpectedly, does anyone have any info on what I can do to fix this? Playing on Mac btw
