Evelyn

For the most part, once the portal closed, Evelyn merely stepped away, narrowing her eyes when she saw the "brand" appear on Yvette's arm, but remaining silent despite that. Soon enough though, the group began to split up, each going separate ways to find their own things, with Evelyn herself going to where she had the best chance (at least, she thought she did) of finding more Beasts to kill.

The Plankton Farms.

Heading through the portal wasn't that strange of a feeling for Evelyn. She had already teleported to other places during her time as a Paleblood Hunter, and the location she dropped in... Wasn't as different. In fact, it was so similar that Evelyn barely took notice of it, merely heading outside of the room while Vratislav was in the middle of asking her to keep an eye out. Which she did, staying in front of the room's door as she stared down the hallway, keeping an ear out for anything of note.

Robotic HW Assembly:

Shamhat, Hirata, and Yvette arrive in a room not dissimilar to the one they just left, signs if "recent" activity, fairly clear and well used, etc.

There is a single door leading out of the room, heavy pounding footsteps can be heard on the other side.

Personnel Quarters:

Deadlift and Yoko arrive to the sound of blaring alarms and flashing red lights.  They area around them didn't seem so bad, almost clean.  The next room(between them an which there was only a glass wall) looked like some kind of large lobby(not unlike an airport), several large monitors had large red letters saying "LOCKDOWN IN EFFECT" and smaller text that couldn't be read from here.

Primary Landing Bay:

Chelchis and Morp arrive to another room similar to the one they just left.  Fire, and something large and metal pounding against a wall could be heard in the distance.  Outside the teleporter room there was a hallway leading through some kind of now completely abandoned security checkpoint and reaching a "T" intersection beyond that.

Plankton Farms:

Nothing spooks Evelyn.

Vratislav finds a number of documents referencing something called the "War Critter Project", apparently this area used to be used to create food for the growing monsters and when they stopped making them they didn't need it any more.  Beyond that he finds stacks and stacks of production logs and time sheets.

[68] He finds a stress ball and several mechanical pencils in the lost personal items.

After hearing the words 'sounds like a nice challenge' in the context of 'robot and monster infested area', Hirata decides to take out her pistol and search the area for anything of interest, or something to hide behind while her mutant finds something to use as a weapon while making as little noise as possible.

Vratislav gazes in amazement at the treasures he's found. He'd never seen anything like them, and he wasn't sure of the applications just yet, but they were something. He puts them in his bag and walks over to Evelyn.

"We're done here. Would you like to lead on? I imagine that there will be an abundance of beasts given this supported a project for making them."

Morp floats down the hallway, investigating the security station as he passes by. He's not entirely certain what it is, but he's seen toll roads before, and gates in front of military complexes that seemed similar, so it was probably to check something on people pasing through, or sort out those who could pass through from those who couldn't.

Morp investigates the security station. Can he get inside to look around, and maybe rummage through some cabinets if there are any?

"Well if that's the case Jezzabella would you mind taking the front for now," Yvette said as she moved further back "Yes Mistress," Jezzabella said as she moved next to Shamhat waiting for the door to be opened her tail basically wagging in excitement.

Chelchis eyed the floating orb that called itself Morp. She was suspicious of the thing, if only because it was unfamiliar. Unknown. The Baron had never seen anything quite like it, and it was generally a safe assumption that things of that nature were dangerous. At "home," it could be any number of things. Tech from before the humans fell. Hive sorcery. New Vex model. Even something the Cabal's Psions whipped up. The orb wasn't likely from any of those, but that didn't mean it couldn't be of Darkness. The Darkness transcended the understanding of mortals, overwrote the laws of the universe itself; there was nothing that said it could not break free of any particular world.

Still, these ponderings were unproductive. The one she followed, at least for now, had given them a mission, and the orb had not done anything overtly hostile or even notably suspicious yet. She followed it forward to the checkpoint, looking for computer systems to access. Getting into the security network would be useful; could provide warning of whatever was making that noise. Failing that, she could always strip the area of anything useful.

Once Vratislav began walking to Evelyn, the Hunter glanced towards him, before nodding and pulling out her weapons again, "Sure. Just make sure you keep an eye out as well" Evelyn stated, before taking a step forward, beginning the walk through the hallway, taking the one that turns sharply to the right first.

Yoko barely even blinked as Deadlift went to shatter the glass -- much as Deadlift likely did, Yoko felt that all of these warnings of danger (both auditory and visual -- the red lights and loud sirens were unfamiliar and rather unpleasant but did convey a general sense of panic pretty well) simply presented a sign that this place would be worthwhile to delve. "Aha, not even hesitating, are we? Well, you really are a man after my own heart in that respect. Let's go! I want to see what's in here, and then I would very much like to kill it."

Spoiler

[2] The creature is bizarre and alien alright, the spell hardly picks up on it as organic. With some amount of study he determines that it seems deviate very early from "standard" biology. They have at least some capacity to manipulate interdimensional energies and can regrow lost limbs with relative ease. They have a hard black "skin" and their innards are a vibrant red. The biggest issue Roy has is that the tentacle is evaporating while he studies it.

Roy had begun to study the tentacle almost as soon as the portal was gone. Hopefully the brand there ally had received wouldn't be to much of an issue. It was a fascinating sample, its makeup and structure so exotic it barely seemed to qualify as organic. Though much to his alarm it was breaking down.

Spoiler

They're highly unstable to begin with and lack the energy and stabilization from the "heart" of the creature.

The problem however is not to hard to pin down, and roy quickly responds

though fragile and a bit tedious to do in this case, he forms a magic producing organ and connects it.

Relived to get the sample preserved, he gently stores it in his case, Of course in the time it took him to do all that, he had been left behind again.

So he took up his stuff, and hurried off to the Landing area to catch up. Surely there would be suits and an airlock in that directon

Plankton Farms:

The steel door slides open to reveal another "outdoor" area with another door directly in front of them.  The ground had a light covering of grass and the wall to the left was curved, the words "Secondary Growing Tank" were in fading paint on the side.

The door beyond leads to another hallway and intersection, the path to the right is crashed and collapsed leaving only a path to the left.

Primary Landing Bay:

Roy arrives without issue.

[95]

The door is unlocked and Morp floats right in, rummaging around he finds a number of files listing the coming and going of ships, people, and supplies.  A weapons rack loaded with a rifle of some kind and a small handgun sits in the back of the room.

Chelchis manages to access the computer.  Most of the files and programs are just as corrupt on this computer as the last one, but she does pull some helpful information.

Most of the loading and repair robots listed are labeled as "Deactivated - Malfunctioning" or "Unresponsive" with a few labeled as "Active - Malfunctioning" one of which is in room making all the noise.
She finds a note several days old saying that a maintenance team has been dispatched and should be dealing with the malfunctioning robots shortly with no updates since its initial writing.

Finally she finds a map detailing the surrounding area and its general layout.

Personnel Quarters:

As Deadlift approaches the wall a glass door slides open automatically(sorry for the confusion there).

Now on the other side Deadlift can see a heavy steel blast door has been closed on the right, effectively cutting off the "lobby" from the large open area visible through the narrow viewing window.

Robotic HW Assembly:

Shamhat, Yvette, Jezzabella, and Hirata move into position.

[27] Hirata's Mutant walks over and tears a large chunk of pipe off the wall(1d8+[Str]), steam is leaking into the room causing it to be very humid and loud.

In response to the sound of tearing metal you all hear a loud grunt before several footsteps toward the door.  A brownish hulking figure covered in surgical stitching and reeking of turpentine hunches down to look through the doorway.  It roars upon meeting the five newcomers before pulling the burlap sack off its back.

Lighter and faster footsteps can be heard coming this way.

Mashinshinajī: When using robotic or electronic equipment, the effectiveness of the equipment is boosted by 2, or by [Gm fiat] if No numerical values exist for that piece of equipment. This action does not take a slot.
Level 2: The equipment is now boosted by an additional +1

Level 3: The equipment is now boosted by an additional +1 for a total of +4 or by [Gm fiat]

Odi: An AI companion contained within a body pillow of a chibi cyborg Darkness from the popular anime 'Konosuba', it does not have control over much of it's own systems, as the servos strategically placed within said body pillows can at most cycle through various preprogrammed sequences, and the cybernetic eye disguised as a part of the cover is unable to move much. It claims to be nothing more than a non sapient program designed to fool people into thinking that it's human to anyone who will listen, and it spends most of it's time trying to brute force it's way into obtaining more complete control over the servos it is linked to or trying and consistently failing to hack into appliances when it is not asked to do something, as it is honestly no more intelligent than your average uppity high schooler with a scientific calculator.
Grants +2 to Hirata’s Intelligence when equipped.

(Equipment level 2) 9mm pistol 'Raikari': A regular 9mm pistol that Hirata inexplicably decided to add a katana blade and an overly complex foldable magazine to try and turn it into a gunblade, it is needless to say that it didn't work.

Deals 1d6+Dex damage as a ranged weapon, 25% chance to jam and become unusable as a gun unless cleared with an action, can also be used as a 1d6+Strength melee weapon.

M3 Cybermutant 'Ichi':

10 DR vs Bludgeoning, Cold, and Chemical damage
Flaws:
High Power Draw:  At the end of any encounter in which this minion is used it has a 20% chance to run down to low power and be unusable until recharged.

Actions:
Improvise Weapon: Grab a nearby object to use as an improvised weapon with effects based on a quality roll.

Overcharge: As a free action gain +1 move this round, removes stun, usable once per combat.  High Power Draw has a 100% chance to trigger at the end of the encounter.

Craft level 2: High Power Draw chance instead has a +50% chance to trigger at the end of the encounter.

Touched by the Red Plane: Occasionally sparks with red energy.  Actual effect unknown.

Smells delicious to Chelchis

Takes two action slots to equip.

Hirata takes a shot at the giant zombie with Raikiri, dealing 1d6+Dexterity damage with a 25% chance to jam the weapon after a use.

Ichi picks up it's pipe and smacks the giant zombie with it, dealing 1d8+Strength damage.

It possesses the power of the spell Cura. Heals multiple targets. Can also be used to deal damage to undeads equal to the amount of healing it would've done.

- Level 2: Increases general DR by INT/4 for three turns, but duration shortens by one turn for every additional ally targeted, to one or more allies.

Shamhat Transform!: Once per world, Shamhat may transform into her true form for the remainder of the encounter, growing six additional arms and getting taller in the process.

- Base: +2 ESS, +4 INT. Cooldown-less Triplecast (Use three spells in one turn) for the remainder of the encounter. All rolls take the higher result out of two rolls. Enemies shit bricks, if applicable.

Robe of All Trades: A robe weaved with fabric from several robes that belonged to mages of certain trades of magic. +2 INT.

Shamhat glared at "Ichi," before turning back to the eldritch horror at hand. "Have at you!" She declared, as she readied her weapons.

Gravity x2 (Multicast) on the Giant Zombie, dealing 2d4+INT+(2d6+INT)*(Target's current HP)/(Target's max HP) crushing damage twice!

Morp floats over to the weapons rack, and rather futilely tries to shield the pistol from the four armed one's view as he makes to add it to his collection. If uninterrupted, it will slowly shrink before disappearing with a pop. "Ohh. . . " With a sudden insight, Morp floats back over to the files that he'd rummaged through. Files were sorta like books! Not as good to be sure, but he couldn't just abandon them because they weren't properly bound. Maybe someday a book binder could bind them for him.

Collect the pistol and some of the files.

Evelyn

Despite the room appearing completely empty, Evelyn still moved through carefully, eyeing every single inch of the room before moving to through the door and into the hall, giving one glance at the collapsed path before turning and moving through the left path, presumably with Vratislav following behind her.

Landing Bay:
[77]

Chelchis brings up the video feed from Bay B.  A robot about 9' tall and covered in bulbous armor and heat shielding was repeatedly ramming itself into a wall apparently unable to figure out how to back up and turn around.

Morp collects things.

Robotic HW Assembly:

Hirata fires her gun at the giant dealing a grand total of 1 damage.

[1] The next round gets caught in the mechanism jamming it.

Ichi fairs only slightly better, using its pipe like a bat to deal 6 damage.

Shamhat goes for the nuclear option, spamming Gravity twice for 30 and 21 damage.

Yvette and Jezzabella buff and gear up.

The giant steps fully into the room and straightened up to stand several inches above Ichi before rearing back and punching the Cybermutant hard in the chest.  Ichi takes 14 damage, but manages to survive.

Two humanoid figures round enter the hall from the other end and approach the fight.  They look a lot like Greg, but more...stiff and force in their movements.

Evelyn and Vratislav enter a large courtyard area, to their left they can see more of the "Secondary Growing Tank", to the right and forward a bit another large cylinder marked "Primary Growing Tank" with a massive crack down the side nearly six foot wide be the time it reached the base.

Movement can be heard, the snarling of more Mutants and the rapid scrabbling of many feet.  Pounding footsteps as another large Mutant rounds the corner of the Primary Growing Tank and heads straight for the two.

Standing up and returning to examine what happened he finds two long gouges running upward from where he was gripping the door and the corners broke off.
