please set this field on fire

Heh if only it was so easy to use Charlotte's gym TM to burn this field, you gotta go find some of these beauties:

Heat Wave, Flame Burst, Lava Plume, Eruption, Searing Shot, Fire Pledge

...Of which four can only be learned by 20 Pokemon or less, some of which aren't even available yet. I think Heat Wave is probably the go-to since Laura is probably going to have doubles but anything could happen.

Throughout development I've alluded repeatedly to the frustrations of a certain field effect that was hell to make simply for the fact that it was 5x as much work as every other field. This is its sto

We don't need no water, let the Flower Garden burn!

It's so beautiful...

Well, at the very least, Arcanine and Chandelure learn one of those spreading fire moves naturally, so it isn't that difficult to have a good Pokémon with a move of mass incineration. Neither is it unduly difficult to catch a magcargo or bring a Camerupt for this one field, should one lack any better fire type. Besides, every fire starter can learn the respective pledge move and burn the field.

Or, maybe, one can bring a Roserade or a Heracross or a Yanmega and try to abuse the field? I don't see why we should be hasty to plan how to burn it down (even if Ame asked us to) without considering if it could first be of use to us in some way. Flowers are nice!

While i don't play reborn as much i used too, i loved the field effect(if that's the name again).

>For their opponents, unless they're able to pull the weeds

Ayyy oddish weed.

But yeah, burn it with fire.

And i hope ep 16 will be good as i'll try to play the game again soon.

This field seems nice.

I believe Adrienn will be using it,since he made the whole city a big garden.

I don't know, doesn't look like it really benefits a team of fairies all that much, though he may have some crafty stuff like Florges' grass moves being boosted.

Well, whimiscott and Florges will benefit, I think. To be frank it is most likely for Laura. There have been so many reasons already outlined for why it suits Laura the most.

Oi, sorry if someone's already noticed this and I haven't seen, but there's EIGHT different colored flowers in the pic of this field!!! If it wouldn't just suit Laura's type and battle style it also fits her octophilia, too.

Yep. I among others already pointed that out; which is what I meant by 'many reasons already outlined.' I don't blame you for not scrolling through four full pages of speculation and hodgepodge though; it certainly is trying. At this point we can all stop speculating and just clamour for E16's release!

On the other hand, I think a boosted Contrary Serperior might even be able to one shot specially defensive Grass-Type Pokemon in the last stages of the field.

True that sir. Serperior is definitely one of my favourite starters to boot so you're definitely onto something there!

I have a question about this field. Will it always start at stage one or can it start at a more advanced stage ? Since it's about the growth of flowers, if you're surrounded by flowers you could imagine it to start at an advanced level

The description says it starts at stage 1.

Wait, so???

You use Sunny Day or Drought on turn 1, growing the field to stage 2

You use Growth on turn 2, growing the field to stage 3
Growth gets doubled to +2 because of the sun, and then tripled to +6 because of the stage 3 field?

The intricacies of this field are intriguing. Does Growth grow the field before or after the stat boost happens? Because the difference between +2 and +6 is very noticeable.
