  1. I just finished a run of both Rejuvenation and Reborn. Personally, I like Reborn a bit more than Rejuvenation. The QOL of Sandbox is just so nice in Reborn. I don't have to breed for good IV's and the world feels a lot more large. I think Rejuvenation has a lot of aspects that are way better than Reborn, but it also has flaws that make me like Reborn a bit better. One thing that kinda bothered me was the random things that happen in both games, such as a betrayal of a rival, a mysterious and omnipotent leader of the evil team, a troubled gym leader who works for the evil team committing suicide, hypnotizing the player into fighting their friends, and a few other things. It's not the biggest deal, since they played out in different ways, but it still felt a little meh while I was playing similar events at the same time. Reborn's characters are kinda useless, in terms of both their roles as Gym Leaders, or as supporting characters. Everyone is constantly kidnapped or in danger, despite being Gym Leaders. Plus, almost none of them are where they are supposed to be, meaning it's literally impossible for anyone else to challenge the league. Rejuvenation answered the issue with the whole Amanda scene. Also, I really liked how Rejuvenation put us in the eyes of other characters so we can see their role in the story past what we see from our own eyes. It gives them an additional depth of character, and makes them feel a lot less useless. The character progression in Rejuvenation is insane. On the other hand, Reborn's characters are also kinda forgettable when playing the story. You lose Florina and Julia until like 10 gyms after challenging them. Radomus and Luna disappear for 7 gyms before we meet them again. Rejuvenation's characters are just always there to move the plot along. They seemed to grow along with us, while the characters in Reborn are very stagnant in terms of who they are. Plus characters in Reborn are constantly lecturing us about their views of life, which is kinda annoying sometimes. They feel more like parents than friends. Nobody wants to know what we think, unlike in Rejuvenation. I kinda don't like how we get our badges in GDC. Most of our badges are not from the actual leader, or are given after battles with the leader outside of an official match. The Normal, Electric, Ice, Psychic, Flying, Rock, and Ground type badges are all obtained in very odd manners. We know the leaders exist, like Talon and Lavender, but we are given their badge without fighting them. It just feels kinda forced for the sake of level progression. Just stick to a normal badge instead of stuff like Adam being like "ha ill just randomly give you my badge" when he decides to talk to us, or Kriess being like "eh you saved me here is a badge lol". The progression in Reborn, as a result, feels a lot more natural than the story in Rejuvenation. It feels a lot more open ended at times. Route 1 is a great example. There isn't really any point in Rejuvenation where your group objective isn't making you go to a specific place and do something. My BIGGEST issue with Rejuvenation is the backtracking in side quests. I love them. But holy hell, why do I have to travel to so many different islands. I can't even fly between them. I just have to go to the pier, go to a different island, fly to the destination, go back to the pier, then go to the next island. I literally procrastinated these quests because I really just do not want to go. It especially sucks if you forget to do something. Then you have to go all the way back to the previous island just to finish the quest. Reborn's sidequests aren't as annoying in my opinion. You can easily tackle them as you travel. But most of the side quests in the late game involve so much backtracking to other islands.
  2. wait how do you initiate the arc side quest???
  3. One of my most memorable moments playing rejuvenation was when i accidentally replaced will o wisp with hail on my vanilluxe. right after i fought flora and boy was i happy when i fucking said " wait bitch... hail me" and i set up hail over rain and swept with my infernape. that bitch ate chimpacts sausage.
  4. OK OK OK PROPS TO YOU FOR THIS ENTIRE POST- But anyways, the points you bring up are extremely good points, and i have a couple more. Just look at Shofu's recent Rejuvenation video. In it, he complains how he has to go to two towns, attempt to fight two gym leaders, go to a new island, fight a legendary pokemon, and save a gym leader just to progress and save a single person. The gym leaders literally inconvenience you for two hours min. of play time. Terajuma's plot can be chopped up to basically playing hide and go seek with almost every character, which i find in many fan made games (not really the main series tho). Specifically in both Reborn and Rejuvenation, i feel that gaining badges can be a hassle, so much so, you forget your main objective, one thing i think you didnt mention but is also a big problem in these games. When i was going through the kiki strength thing to save the kids, i about forgot they even existed. Same thing goes as above with Nim in Terajuma. In sun and moon, the whole Yungoose quest is the same problem. You have a single problem leading to one after another without resolving a single one until a rushed ending. It takes away from the story and it feel just as filler to give you some training in a very annoying and fetch quest kind of way. Another problem that I don't know if you covered it, is the fact that you literally have to do everything in the games. If there is a problem, you'll go fix it. Entire terajuma fetch quest for nim is all on you. saving the lake pokemon in diamond and pearl is all on you (because everyone else is weak af). Getting the power on in the yureau building falls on you. Beating Nyx in Insurgence falls on you. Everything in the games for some reason falls on you even thought youre with several more experienced trainers, they miraculously lose all their power and you have to save the day. It really starts to annoy you once youve played the games one or two times. There are various parts that just feel tedious and frankly useless. Its the same cycle; someone does something stupid, you try to fix it, you have to fix something else or save someone to get help, yada yada yada. But anyways, these games are works of art. They are fun and innovative. However, there are several flaws in the story and gameplay that frankly just make the games feel like homework. There are times where i literally just mash A just to get through battles and when i have to go do several fetch quests just to get to a single place to save a single person. With a little adjustment, these problems can be made smaller or be taken out entirely.

  7. i just beat angie and got the badge from kriess. where do i go from here i cant find the gang anywhere
  8. So im on the dimensional beasts help quest with looker and im at the part where we need to open the iron door. But i dont know how. Ive looked everywhere for a clue, but i have no idea what i need. Can someone tell me what i need?
  9. could you happen to help me with the second help quest im slightly stuck
  10. The telekinesis tm doesnt work on any of the pokemon it should work on (like ralts and gothirita)
  11. You basically want to put a shadow pokemon in and put in a cycle of pokemon who are strong against the next one in the cycle. There is a bar that tells you how much of a flow you have and it purifies as you walk i believe (don't quote me on that). Just walk around with a high flow and it'll purify pretty quick
  12. Sadly there are going to be a lot of donations so i doubt Jan can get everyone in with the team they want
  13. Perhaps even as a sort of psuedo pokemon league challenge
  14. Might i recommend either a ditto with perfect iv's/ some perfect iv's and a destiny knot, or a shiny pokemon of your choice with a lucky egg as a reward for donating. Other ideas include- raising the levels of the audino trainers A tm or a good pokemon A mystery egg Or (this one is my favorite) an opportunity to crack open a cold one with the boys, respect women, and do fidget spinner trickshots.
  15. Here's an idea; What if Caz puts in a like character who can "change the past" aka the decisions you make with people that affect you reputation. That way you can go back and find every ending without having to restart the game.
  16. I agree. I tried using Char and he just didnt put in work after dragon rage went away. I'd rather use mons like Crobat for it's amazing speed and access to acrobatics or Noivern who destroys gyms with a lot of resistances and great moves like hurricane, dragon pulse, dark pulse and more. Charizard just doesnt work out. Now seeing the first poll, i am extremely supirsed by mudkip. Now i LOVE MUDKIP. He is my favorite gen 3 starter. But HE IS WEAK AS HELL. His special is mediocre and at his mid stage, all his stab moves are special with the should be 10% accurate mud bomb mud shot and water gun. It doesnt get access to muddy water, also a basically 10% accurate move until level like 37 or something. And once again, its special, but Swampert can use special moves a bit easier. Also it doesnt get access to earthquake until level 51. So Mudkip struggles a lot in early and mid game.. But once you get to Agate... HE IS A BEAST. You get waterfall for great physical damage plus hammer arm and E.Quake for great coverage and stab. Also sludge wave which does a decent amount at this point, covering its only weakness, grass. In summery, Mudkip is great late game, but VERY FLOPPY in early to mid game.
  17. Hey Santa.... Could we get some pokemon for christmas? Pokemon would be nice <3
  18. Waterfall isn't for a while i'm afraid. Brick break will be coming in three or so gyms. Yes, in the onyx ward, there is the move tutor, but idk if you can relearn flamethrower as an Arcanine. At this point in the game, i wouldn't use Pachu. I see that its a nice utility, but in these parts of the game, you'll wanna start using more sturdy or more hard hitting mons. Have you tried Tynamo or Magnezone? Those worked for me in my run, especially magnezone who is my favorite pokemon in reborn so far. Elektross is nice for a mixed amount of damage. As for ursaring, go to the move tutor and get Hammer arm for some nice physical damage. The electric recommendations are slow tho. So be careful with that, but they are very useful in attacking and defending. I also see that you arent very bulky on any mons. You wanna get some pokemon that can take a hit, since all your pokemon are minus some defense. Magnezone one again with sturdy can take a hit and counterattack with a flash cannon or discharge. Go change your natures to some minus whatever attacking stat you arent using for trauma, Ursaring, Roserade, and Samurott. Also consider changing out trauma for a gardevoir, which will do much better on your team with almost every stat being above Trauma's.
