  1. Another better thing about Marisa's route in the third game (compared to Reimu's route) just happened.  Mima and Yuuka appearing 3 stages earlier.  You don't get them for long, so have to enjoy them while they are here.

     

     

  2. I just noticed I fell behind on answering these polls. Anything with Caramel, wins for Ice Cream flavor. I'll be honest for #8, aside from making a male Vespiqeen to make it non-gender elusive, I wouldn't like to see any of these in Empire (even as just an altered sprite). They just seem pointless. Though I have to give credit for not trying to fall into the trap of bringing up a "female Mr. Mime).
  3. I'm suggesting Cutiefly, the adorable bug-fairy of Gen 7. I love the typing and more Fairies are always great.
  4. We'll get it eventually. The gym TM acquisition is a little weird, since they change between episodes (old Shade gave Shadow Ball and old Rad-master gave Calm Mind-----if you got the TMs back then, you won't have the current ones they give and vice versa). In short, I don't think it's obtainable in a post-Serra file right now, but will probably be gotten with all the other replaced TMs.
  5. Even if Marisa's route doesn't have Mystia early, at least I can enjoy the Wriggle Kick (which they made mirror the animation for the Gespent Kick from SRW OGs).

    Have to admit that it goes great with the music for the Gespest Kick from the SRW OG: The Inspectors anime.  The timing is just great.....and I like it better than Wriggle's default theme, though it may grow on me:

  9. I can't tell if this was some publicity stunt for a mostly abandoned game or a completely honest attempt at implementing them.  Surely the people in charge didn't think their remaining playerbase would actually go for it, right?

      This is the second I remember seeing from this uploader (I'm assuming it's the same one using a new account, since it's the same Chinese(?), mentions of universities, and numbers.), though they are quick to miss.

       

      Thankfully, they disappeared in about a minute (while the single ad from an hour before was still there for quite a while), so we must have some filter......it just takes a minute to actually work.  I couldn't even report one before they were gone.

  13. Welcome to these forums! So, it seems the stopping after Ruby/Sapphire and then coming back years later is a trend? Though I have to credit Gen 6, mainly ORAS for fully bringing me back, Reborn certainly helped revitalize my want to actually play Pokemon again.
  14. While not in-game, RL Amethyst has mentioned on her Tumblr that in-game Ame uses mons that she likes. Those two are the only known ones though.....from what I remember.
  15. I have to give the third game more credit for adding icons/designs for all of the items in the equip menu.

    It's a nice touch that even Super Robot Wars hasn't tried to do (presumably since the mecha parts that weren't from a series would be have to be designed from scratch....and they probably would be fairly generic).

     

  16. 10/10 A good image of a classic mech from my childhood @Ironbound There should be 'Hide' under the 'Options' button (next to edit). That deletes it.

      Thx, the fairy-tale run won't be until I finish E17 content though, so probably next year (which is like 2 weeks from now) xD

  18. After so damn long, I am finally done with the second Fantasy Maiden Wars game (Marisa route, hard mode).  That last stage was probably one of the most frustrating in any Turn Based Strategy I've ever played. 

     

    So much soft-resetting in the pre-boss fight just so most of my units would survive the midosses and the mooks who would gang up on one unit......and then Yukari decided to travel all the way across the field in one move before I even finished all the midbosses.  Then, 5 fairly gimmicky spell cards effects as I whittled down each of her health bars.......including the last one where she could attack EVERY one of my units on her her phase (props to Yomu for accidentally ending Yukari's turn early by counterattacking with a critical....probably saved  half of my remaining units). You were so annoying, Gap-Hag.

    The in-game timer shows it took over 5 and half hours (which doesn't include the turns I had to keep Soft Resetting to survive Ran's MAP attack or not have my three pure support units get ganged up on).......though I did take my time recouping my remaining units once I only had Yukari to deal with---so I could just Support Defend her attack usually.

     

    There is not way in hell I am doing Reimu's route in this game, even on Normal mode, after how long it took to get this far.   I can never imagine doing these games on Lunatic mode.

     

     

    And with that I can finally move on to the third game.  I already made sure the file transfer worked, so I can start immediately.  Whereas most of the menus/mechanics of the second reflected PS1 or early PS2 SRW, the third makes a jump up to the late PS2 era SRW mechanics and menus (though animations are understandably still limited---this is a fangame after all, though the team behind it definitely improves in this department over the course of the games).  It will be weird getting used to the new team/twin system. 

     

    I just wish some of the.......less useful playable characters weren't 10 or more levels behind.  At least they catch up quicker when their is a level gap (since more EXP is given per kill).
