  1. What does the TV say the forcast is?
  2. Stage 51 complete (after I didn't touch the game yesterday).  Now the plot of Touhou 11 begins in earnest, with the last stage being the "prologue."  However, the conflicts of Touhou 11 started being explored and set up in the latter half of the second game (along with the 'cool down' mission before Moonbitch arc), so last stage was just the main reason everyone is storming the Underworld.

Anyway, the actual gameplay now.  Mostly a straightforward stage at first, with the main annoyance being the re-introduction of the fairly accurate Hell Crow mook.  In fact given the bosses, this is mostly a revision/revisiting of Stage 27 (Marisa route), except you have your whole rooster and aren't confined by a Skill Point that requires you to rush to finish the stage in 5 turns.  Both bosses to have a good bit of upgrades (now having better---more annoying--- initial field effects, better skills, and a spell card each).

Considering they are squeezing all of Touhou 11's main conflict into these 5-6 stages, it makes sense that they decided to squeeze two stages bosses together.  The skill point is worrying to begin with: activating both their spell cards on the same turn.

Given one's initial field reduced all damage to enemies by 25% while the other dropped all the player's stats by 20 points each, their next effects were likely going to enhance these effects (which I guessed right :D); activating both spell cards on the same turn would likely make some of the fields stack, thus making the gimmick for this stage being a real race to take both down within 3 turns (the length of the spell card).   In hard mode you only get one Bomb (which destroys the danmaku fields), so you have use it wisely, though it is really only enough time to take down one of them in a turn (unless you heavily upgrade weapons).

This is the result of activating both the same turn (image below), with the effects of listed in the bottom left.  Thankfully I tried to separate them so bucket girl wouldn't Support Defend spider girl, so the fields only kind of overlapped  Given that bucket girl's damage reduction gimmick was more threatening (and didn't have holes to move into), I used my resources to take her out first.  With only her gimmick and the holes in her field, I was able to take down spider girl within the time limit.

While potentially very gimmicky, I definitely liked this one.  I'm very glad I bought Hatate for her 'Hermit Purple' personal skill (increases damage enemies take by 10% for 1 turn---2 uses per stage).  Also, I have to give props to Mokou this stage for dodging two attacks with an above 80% accuracy rate.  You really do make a good Chirico Cuvie substitute in this series:

  3. Ok, like @NickCrash said, @walpurgis copied Jess's score from last page instead of Azerira's. I tried to fix it with the last two votes, but I would like someone to double-check my numbers. Before my vote: Hurt Grass, Heal Ice Grass: 5 Steel: 12 Ground: 7 Ice: 14 Ghost: 13 Bug: 24 Poison: 10
  4. Welcome to these forums. Glad to hear of more people getting back into the series.
  5. I tried it with a mon that learns the move naturally and it still forbid me from doing it after the episode (at least during the community release). They probably used RPG maker or a similar method
  6. I almost never do nicknames. Whenever I trained up mons in Reborn for online battling, however, I suddenly decided to nickname a lot of them one day. Since I suck at nicknames, most were uninspried or an uncreative reference, though I liked a few: Extinction (Mamoswine) Smogon Sword (Aegislash) Air Seer (Xatu) and Land Seer (Absol)-- In all honestly, probably my two most cleaver Ame's Troll (Whimsicott)---Unless I heard wrong, Ame loved using one to troll people during Gen 5's weather wars Black Knight (Reborn-shiny Gallade) Suzaku (Archeops) Spooks (Gengar) Getter 2 (Exadrill)--as a mecha fan, I had to make the obvious reference The only pokemon I've consistently nicknamed for years is calling the main Gardevoir I use in a game Granzon (top vid below), after mecha's master of black holes (my favorite bit of Gardevoir's Pokedex lore). This connection was only strengthened when Gardevoir got a Mega Evolution back in ORAS (second below). That's why my second site avatar was of an Gardevoir in Granzon-like armor
  7. Grass: 11 Steel: 14 Ground: 9 Ice: 18 Ghost: 17 Dark: 3 Bug: 19 Poison: 13
  8. Hone Claws was TM 01 in Gens 5 and 6, but was replaced by Work Up in Gen 7. Unfortunately, it's not a TM anymore.
  9. I'm fairly certain every major battle has locked abilities. Mostly just the not important ones seem to have a degree of randomness.
  10. I think someone who knows about it commented that this a thing with Pokemon essentials in general. Even the abilities can be different between battles (best seen in some Grand Hall trainers), unless specifically locked to a certain one. There are even odd times where people have encounter things like a wild female Tauros.
  11. Forgot to post this a few days ago:

Happy 6th anniversary Katawa Shoujo.  Thanks for the memories and feels

  12. I'm pretty sure it's not available (yet?).
  13. If Jan cared about that, he wouldn't have made the PBS files public and would have asked for the RP mod to be taken off the site. @Rainlove You can put them in yourself with the RP menu mod, or I can do it if you want.
  14. Oh, the POPTEPIPIC anime is out?  Time to watch dank 4-koma become anime..........or maybe it will be newer stuff, considering straight up adapting 4-koma seems like a weird idea (especially for one that references current events/trends).

  15. The Public release has been out for a while, under the Pokemon Reborn tab at the top, so this link is naturally down. If you mean all the links are down on the main download page, then Ame needs to be informed directly.
  16. If you still want them when it gets fixed, either tell me here or PM me. They probably won't be going anywhere, unless someone wants them (and even then, I can make a backup). Good luck in the meantime.

    EP 17 Beldum

I believe it was pushed back until then.
  18. While I followed this to read a while back, I never got around to it. Already started and liking it. I never knew people actually used 'deff' as a shortened word, which just sounds weird to me. I can see Cain using it, though it feels weirder with in-game Ame........
  19. When a creator known for creative shitposts makes something very good and you can't tell whether it was made to be a shitpost to begin with.  Then again, it's Jojo, where even shitposts are usually sometimes good.

So far my favorite, even if Dio is more mematic.  While I haven't read them in full, I know some about the villains of parts 5-7 (6 especially)--- will re-evaluate later.

  20. Someone will have to trade you either the insence or Igglybuff then. I can check to see if I have one with the right OT, if you give me a minute. In that case, no. There will probably be a way later, but for now doing aqua gang (or getting the old Charmander prize for Magma) locks you out of Litten. You'll have to trade for it too. @SamIAm I do have the Iggly, so I could trade you both mons if you want them.
