  1. Now when reading about the last episode stuff, the time it all takes etc. one thing came to my mind - dont you guys have a feeling like there is too many legendaries to be introduced at once? Each of it deserves a huge sidequest, sometimes the story of a whole game revolves around them, plus we will gain access to a big-ass sort of firepower at once (postgame, I know, but still, where is the joy of catching Dialgia when it is just a position in the middle of my list, right between Mewtwo and Kyogre?). While mons like Johto Dogos or Legendary Parrots (Trio and Duo) don't have this kind of history/reality altering vibe and could be introduced in the same way as Phione was, I cannot see the room for folks like Yveltal or Giratina, unless their lore powers/roles are diminished. I'm curious now what it takes to make it look reasonable and interesting, without neglecting their overall themes.
  2. None asks, what is the prize? Is it Dratini? Store Sticker? Or, I guess, something like PokeSnax or an Ultra Ball.
  3. Level cap issues. There are rebattlable trainers to compensate and level up when you need it, not when you just want to proceed. However I agree a trainer here and there would be good for the sake of diversion and entertainment, like in the Iolia Valley.

    Hopes For E18

The very next day after the legendaries are introduced into the game, everyone has one of each, shiny, no matter how complex the sidequests are. Online features have their flaws.
  5. Now I think joining a gang should be punished with some -1 in relationship with Radomus or Arc or so. And then nullified by +1 after Reborn is reborn and they turn out to get their lifes back on track when we finish this storyline.
  6. In other words, she is completely obsolete to the story - sadly, cause she had a lot of potential at the beginning. Now throwing her into the middle of action would feel forced imo.
  7. @Commander I must have missed it, this thread was... roomy.
  8. Wait a second, Ms. Cradburry also was a real-life person? I wanna know the backstory of it, definetely.
  9. Thanks for the answer. Congratz on the semester, dont forget to celebrate and drink up to the every passed exam. Gee, I'm glad all of this is behind me already. On the other hand, I must be addicted to suffering as I'm on the brink of starting another faculty.
  10. Um, guys, any news on the development progress? It was pretty agile up until recently.
  11. And we know we will meet a human connected to a PULSE device. My bet is, it is going to be someone who seeks to seize Arceus - I'd say Lin, since there is a high probability she is some kind of robotic impostor, she can sacrifice this vessel. And after we destroy PULSE, she explodes, as seen in Shade's Power Plant. On the other hand, they just may want to torture somebody or experiment on someone.
  12. As per the comments above, also keep in mind many of the in-game events happened in real life, or were inspired by such events. Suicide (Corey), amnesia after an accident (Amaria), custody battle (Radomus-Luna-El), etc. - there is a story and a real person behind each of these events. It is sometimes small, like the TV news about Amaria 6 - 0ing a certain opponent, or big, like a romance story. People who participated in all of this may tell you more, or you can search the forums.
  13. ^ This cool ^ This not. Those are two different things, to force you to think how to make a progress with limited access to mons and TMs, and to utilize completely ancient and annoying mechanism. This is not an excuse, we are waiting for years for a new episode to come anyway, things like implementation of Gen7 makes it longer, I'm totally cool with some extra waiting in exchange for improved gameplay. We don't need polarisation, what I propose is, to avoid completely redoing parts of the game, to give us certain HM-items after certain points in the game - basically, after the city is refurbished, this is the moment when the biggest exploration begins I think, with some exceptions, like RockSmash-item somewhere before Iolia - upgraded mining kit or dynamite or so. Once again, with area-altering moves the amount of moves that are necessary to explore is way too high.
  14. Not only you, I've seen such approach in this topic, but all I see there is ''our grandfathers were doing it like this, and so we will do, we don't need those blasphemous 'electricity' and 'engines' when we have our faithful horses''. You liked it? Cool. But that's not an excuse to cease the improvment. Again, I maintain my view that at some points we could have been given some items allowing us to leave HM-slaves behind, especially for Rock Smash or at last 2 water-type HMs. By the way, HM-slaves are the best proof that HM-system isn't working well - if almost every single player comes up with such by-pass to the whole HM-mechanism, that means it is a nuisance. Even Nintendo after this many years finally changed it, cause even such... resistant to changes company like them figured out this should be changed, and they did.
  15. Wow, that would be nice, haven't thought about it. And btw, at what point Elias was confirmed as an eventual E4? I mean, I know he is an E4 member since start, but was it confirmed that the old man isn't likely to die or so? Also, could Bennett effectively utilize the one tailored for Laura?
  16. Luckily, there is this one, tiny freaking useful HM-mod. Still, it would be nice to see at last few HMs removed from Reborn; as noticed above, to explore areas like Ametrine we need either constant, aggravating shuffling of moves if we don't have HM-slave, or we need at last 2 HM-slaves (surf, dive, waterfall, strenght, rock smash, rock climb, fly would also be nice - to my knowledge, there is no single mon capable of learning all of them), plus in quite a few areas we need those terrain-altering moves, this boosts lists of obsolete moves to a staggering numbers. There is no computer anywhere around Luna, which is another nuisance after going through Iolia, there are more places like this. Also, lack of TMs also limits our capability to shuffle moves freely - we don't often get the combination of a mon that have a useful TM and also can learn few HMs, at last when we try to assemble a team of our own plan of idea. Even boosted effects of Cut or Strenght in few arenas doesn't compensate for this - while it would be hard to rewrite half of the game just to remove Strenght, Surf is logical and cool, can't we come up with something like, Personal Teleporter (to Pokemon Centers, Fly), Flashlight (Flash), Machette (Cut), Scuba Gear (Dive), or so? I can come up with a logical, good story explaining why not everyone is using those items and why we couldn't get it before in a matter of minutes, we may make it funny. We don't even need to completely remove HMs from the game, just at some point we might receive an alternative to it, so when we get to big exploration, we have it easier.
  17. I bet Sirius will die from sisters' hand, probably Charlotte - she will burn him alive for this one barbeque at their place that went a little bit out of hand. Or they will just dismember him, whatever. Guys, I gotta question, what areas are currently being mapped? I thought Agate and Labradorra were done some time ago already, so what is left to be done for this episode, except a few rock climb spots?
  18. To be honest, I understand OP's frustration - Reborn tends to utilize some cliches, like repeatable, overpowered mons in leader's/rival's roster, or abusing attacks that player has no early/easy access too (yes, I do mean Earthquake and a few others). BUT, as almost everyone above noticed, those are usually easy to by-pass in this way or another - like, give your minion a baloon and watch enemy mashing ground with EQ while you set up, gg. This has changed in the previous and latest episode and the inclusion of gen7, tough, so we are on the right track, I guess.
  19. The only HM moves that could remain are Surf and Fly, plus maybe Waterfall, cause I cannot quickly come up with anything portable and logical in their place (Surfboard, Town Portal Scroll? How can we go against the waterfall, tough?) and they are not totally useless like Rock Smash or Flash. Luckily, there is a mod for that.
  20. @Zander and others: guys, we cannot use mental instability as an excuse for trying to drown someone. Same goes for Tit/Ama relation, we cannot say ''it's cool, she just have a depression or so'' - some people are just toxic, emotional vampires. First of all, meddling Taka's and Amaria's stories in this way isn't working well. As I think of it now, it should be separated: battle or not Taka to get Zekrom/Reshiram paths, confront girls about the diary or not to get different Amaria/Titania stories. I don't know what happens next in Labradorra, so it is hard to say if this could or could not be implemented, it leaves us with 4 different paths. We can get this many options in Belrose House too, tough.
  21. Iirc, next episode = one leader, last episode = last leader + E4 + postgame content. She can. Except the chars which didn't die in real life. Nah. EOT. P.S.: Surprise us, Ame.
  22. What concerns me for the last two episodes is the storytelling. Not even different major paths we may take, we haven't seen the conclusion of it (so far I don't like reasoning behind Reshiram path at all, Zekrom's painfully lacks in terms of content, but let's wait for the end of both paths), but In my opinion, those situations create holes in logic and it kills the atmosphere - what could be a great story arc is dished by the feeling that it just doesn't add up. As we already have a beautiful refurbished city, some nice locations, I do hope more focus will be put into story development, to tie up loose ends in a grande finale.
  23. Brute force. Sheer force doesn't work? Use a hammer. Still troubling? Swap the weakest team member, repeat.
  24. @AlarisHe's not standing, he's <hanging> out there after we rejected him as a companion.
