  2. Looking at the Electric/Flying Pom-Pom Oricorio, I am now sure that the Pokemon franchise artists are playing Reborn in their spare time. And are Julia's fans probably...

So, Julia now has no Blitzle? That's really a pity... :( I'd rather see her having no Voltorbs, it's kinda redundant with her having Electrode as an ace.

Pretty cool to see how some Characters now have a guaranteed Shiny on their team.

For being one of the kindest and nicest people in here! And for stating that you are socially awkward, it is nice to find another one!

This is an extremely cute status update, so I just wanted to peer inside and voice my approval. Fly away, adorable members ^_^

  5. @Gentleman Jaggi Damn, forgot about her Swampert. Yes. Not really weak to Electricity indeed. By the way, I wonder why you didn't go for Poison Jab/Sludge Wave with Nidoking against her Ludicolo and opted for Megahorn. A Sheer Force-boosted STAB Poison Jab would've probably OHKO Ludicolo...
  6. Honestly, Stunfisk would've been godlike in Trick Room with Water Surface Field on. I'm not sure about whether it could OHKO Ludicolo, Rotom and Kingdra though... Maybe after Stealth Rocks? Who knows...
  7. I was in this situation when I faced Titania in my Poison mono. Grassy Terrain'ed and Flame Burst'ed it up, but then, I had a timer on my head to defeat her as quickly as possible. I could never get her Aegislash down during this time (cause stupid Magical Seed in her field stalled it out), so I had to make adjustments and have more aces up my sleeve to defeat her... By the way, I doubt that any Ground types can learn Electric Terrain anyways, so, cheap or not, it was out of the question by default for you
  8. Good job @Gentleman Jaggi! You defeated the final one of the banes of your Earthy existence! Trick Room works very well with Ground types indeed. Now, just a tiny bit of info... It was better that you froze the Field, because, if you had gone for the Grassy Terrain strategy, you'd have to worry about setting Grassy Terrain up again as well (it would last 5 or 8 turns, if Torterra was holding an Amplified Rock). In general, any field you create by using Grassy/Misty/Psychic/Electric Terrain, with or without combination with any other moves (e.g Grassy + Heat Wave for Burning fiel
  9. So many options and so few used... Thank you! 16 down, two to go for the Bugs! And the E4, of course, which will be the true challenge, since I'll have to have only 6 'mons for all 4 of them... Yes, she goes full bitch mode in Reshiram Route and always battles you in the one you least like... So, be smart and bluff her! Also, Z-Belly Drum Azumarill is scary. That's when a priority Confuse Ray would come in handy! Let it kill itself!!!
  10. I like this idea, as an extension of mine! That would've been interesting story-wise too. I still don't know why she didn't try to OHKO Leavanny with Ice Beam/Sludge Bomb on first turn. My thought is that, unless both enemy Pokemon are resisting Surf, she goes for Surf. The boost combined with the double attack by both her mons should be enough to KO most things. Even Leavanny would've died if it wasn't for Sunny Day. In my case it was Sunny Day that changed things. And the luck that Volbeat survived and confused her entire party.
  11. Yes, my point is that she tries to play full offense Water, with the bulky ones and with very shallow coverage. If she played stall Water with those, that would've gone better. Throw in Shell Smash Carracosta, Speed Boost Sharpedo, Kingdra with Focus Energy and stuff like that... These, in combination with the speed disadvantage that the arena introduces would've been hell to face.
  12. I think we have become too good in this game xD Every Leader has counters. Having a reply to everything we might bring is as difficult as building a monotype team able to face EVERYTHING the opponents might throw at you in showdown. With the others not playing a monotype too. It's pretty much impossible. And, in general Water type leaders in-game didn't feel tough to me... Regardless of the game. The type is so stall-oriented that doing something other than that feels wrong and is easily countered. That's the case here as well. I think though, that Ludicolo, Rotom-Wash, possib
  13. It's pretty much same as Rejuvenation, where you can easily sweep the Water Gym leader even in Intense mode with Nasty Plotting A-Raichu. Double-edged sword. Why I had both Galvantula AND Leavanny in my team, I didn't know which thing she'd be prepared for. In general, trying to amp-up Water moves is tricky, because a water arena amplifies electricity too, cause good electric conductor. Now, about Kingdra... God knows. What about having Ludicolo in doubles too? I think the Quagsire-Seismitoad-Gastrodon trio was to counter Discharge. But, right now, all you need is a Grass type, as l
  14. @Zargerth Thank you! I hope it was fun for you to read, as I tried to be a bit anti-conventional with my teams! Yes, plan with Dustox was to use in a combo with Galvantula to Protect/Discharge, Toxic/Infestation Lapras if I had to and Moonlight when necessary to regain HP, since it restores 75% of max HP with Sunny Day active! But the battle turned out to be easier than I thought! Edit: In all honesty, I thought about Brick Break Heracross, but dunno why I didn't try it after all. Maybe I was afraid that Heracross wouldn't have been able to complete the sweep, by getting crippled/hard co
  15. Now Episode 17-updated! Bug monorun of Reborn :)

  16. CHAPTER 36: Never get drowned in sorrow So, after Lin planted her seeds of discord between Titania and I, we both set off to Fiore Mansion to protect Amaria from the imminent danger that approaches, as Lin threatened. There, I have to get Respect, my Squirtle again, because, in order to find Amaria I had to use Surf, Dive AND Waterfall and find my way in the underwater chambers of the maze she calls a Gym. People with claustrophobia or thalassophobia are advised to leave the room. And, of course, I was dumb enough to not realise that you can Dive up into the arena of her Gym and ta
  17. @St0mpa Yes, it is kinda tricky to create good Baton Pass chains using only 'mons of one type...
  18. Exactly. If something is part of the game, let people use it. It has so many counters that if you have none of them in your team, then it is your fault that you can't stop it and you need to adjust your team. But smogon players are kinda allergic to new things, different things plus anything that their already-planned teams aren't capable of countering as they are. @Zargerth Me too! Insurgence already had a Baton Pass user as an E4 member, so why not here as well? Especially with a field that helps that! Would be fun to try and defeat that!
  19. With Double Team it is silly, so Titania had Smart Strike on her Excadrill. Didn't change into it. Not my problem. We aren't in competitive now, it's just a playthrough, so complaining about something being broken is silly, especially with the kind of advantages Gym Leaders in Reborn get. Being called out like this for using something (that you consider) "broken" in a monorun feels bad. Also, Baton Pass chains can be stopped by about a million ways. I forgot to mention Circle Throw, Dragon Tail, Leech Seed, Toxic, Clear Smog, Fake Out/priority moves, counter-setting up and Will-O-Wis
  20. I still don't know whether your first comment about "lots of broken fun with Baton Pass chains" was ironic or not... It really isn't broken...
  21. Come on, she gets a free Swords Dance on her Aegislash with Seed+Stance Change... Plus, I didn't use any good Baton Passers, apart from Scolipede. Volbeat and Illumise are really below mediocre 'mons and I managed to defeat her without changing the field as well... I don't think Baton Pass is broken, as long as it isn't combined with Speed Boost 'mons. You just have to have Taunt to counter it. Or Encore. Or haze. Or Roar. Or Whirlwind. @Azeria I still haven't explored around, so no idea about us having access to Will-O-Wisp! But I was planning to use it in my main run to counter her

  23. CHAPTER 35: Teamwork and iron will! *Frantically undusts the topic...* "A...a...aaaaAAAAAAA CHOOOOOOO!!!!" *Notices the crowd laughing watching. God damn it! Happy New Year everyone! Been such a long time since I last updated my Bug monorun! But I'm excited for this! Episode 17 and new places to explore! After defeating Adrienn, the first place we visited was the renovated Grandview Train Station, hoping that no psycho tries to blow it up again! The inscription said that it was open for places outside Reborn City as well... This place turned out to be Tourmaline Desert!
