Spoiler
I shall point out that Zekrom>>>Reshiram. For the few (or not-so-few) ones that will get it!
-
SpoilerFor the time being, my way of thinking is this. I will keep believing this, since this path gives us hope that we can save everyone still.
Many people say that Taka and Titania will keep living a fake happiness in the "ideal" path of Zekrom, while in the "truth" path of Reshiram they'd be freed by their burden, but this would cost Taka his life. Personally, I think that sometimes truth can be sacrificed for the greater good. If conserving a lie means that the final result will be victory vs Team Meteor with the fewest casualties, they can restore the truth after the ultimate goal of eradicating a threat is achieved. So, they haven't forsaken truth for good. They just save truth for the proper moment.
Besides, Taka is 1) A great guy with morals, 2) Our most useful asset as a double agent within Meteor core. Without him we'd have Apophyll burnt to ashes, we'd be probably ended up as a skeleton in the Nuzleaf cage, and Amaria would be dead with her Sapphire bracelets taken.
I think true bravery isn't telling the truth 24/7, but enduring your personal hell for the greater good and for your morals like Taka does. And I am 1000% happy that I helped him
even though I'd love to bond with him by exploring the desert together! -
-
SpoilerThere is no right and wrong, because it's two different perspectives, yes. I just think that truth is pointless if you don't live to enjoy the release truth offers. So, I'm happy with my path! I will be seriously mad if Taka dies anyways. I wasn't mad for Corey, not for Kiki, not for Ame. Mostly because I didn't have the time to meet them to develop feelings. BUT HANDS OFF TAKA, HE IS MY BFF!

Is there a particular reason a certain Gym Leader kept switching instead of attacking me and pretty much donated a badge to me?
I liked seeing some switches, but this was just a switch/heal fest on behalf of that certain Gym Leader.

@Hooligan Sound like you had fun ^^
I have a memory where I beat a level 79 Empoleon with a level 68 Infernape's Close Combat.
-
-
SpoilerSounds good Hooligan! My plan was a Rain Dance/Sunny Day field change. But then, Titania decided that she should spare me. By the way, does anyone have any idea what on earth was that Zekrom? I was expected Kyurem and Reshiram as well, and maybe a double battle with Titania vs Lin, but weird (and a bit uneventful) things happened afterwards.

Soooo, I've been roaming in the Desert to find the train station and return to Reborn, but I can't find it. For 1 hour.
Ame's desert is the most realistic simulation of what getting lost in Sahara feels like.
Fuck my existence for not having a Flying mon with me. -
I still believe Drapion should be Bug/Dark instead of Poison/Dark.

Florin's Swift Swim Ludicolo is a damn beast! Mega Sceptile and Shaymin have nothing on this monstrosity!

Hey guys, do you know when E17 is coming out?
SpoilerSits back and grabs popcorn

Reborn doesn't have set release dates; episodes are just released when they're ready. Currently E17 is well into beta testing. After that is the community release, which is when people who have a forum account will be able to play. As for when that will be, no one can really say, since testing is a bit harder to put into percentages than episode development. There's no telling how many bugs will pop up and when, along with how simple or complicated they are. Originally Ame's goal was one week for each testing phase, but she's realized that that's a bit too idealistic given the massive new changes to the AI system and how much of a headache it is to get them working properly. The community release might be soon as beta testing has been going on for a while now as I mentioned earlier, but testing progress is a bit more unpredictable so I recommend being cautiously optimistic.
If you're interested in keeping a closer eye on Reborn's progress, the devolopment blog is a good place to follow. Although there likely won't be any more announcement threads, underneath the progress bar Ame sometimes posts a note to let people know how it's going. Some of these notes are informative, some are funny, and some are funny and informative. Here's a link to the development blog if you're interested: http://www.rebornevo.com/index.php?/pr/development/
I hope that my answer was helpful and that you have a good day
or night, depending on your time zone.

I get the point of other wild encounters being more rare than others. But with all due respect to Rejuvention devs... WHY THE HELL IS PHANPY MORE ELUSIVE THAN FUCKING ARTICUNO IN GOLDENLEAF TOWN????
-
And Berry Emporium in Rejuvenation isn't selling Aspear Berries, while selling all the others that cure status conditions. Cause why not spend a century trying to Thief Aspear Berries from Crawbrawlers in Route 2 to face Angie's stupid Cold Truth freezing hacks? It's not like I have other things to do with my life.

I've been wondering and want the community's opinion on this... Youtuber is faking nuzlocke in youtube, but forgets to edit out the death of his Alolan Muk. Skip to 6:30 to see the point.
-
When the RNG gods are with you. Wild encounter.

Crawli's puzzle is worse than Crustle puzzle.
Worse even than the Water Treatment Centre puzzle. Youtube, here I come.

The WTC wasn't that bad. Just long. Very long. Too long?
My fav puzzles are short ones, that are still a bit challenging. Like, Shelly's bookcases. Or Radomus' chess puzzles.
or the mons in cages at Blacksteam factory, but that's mostly because when I first played it, it was on an older episode and Roggenrola was practically invisible back then and I thought there was NO ROGGENROLA AAAAAAH -

Valarie isn't even a challenge in Pokemon Rejuvenation, not even in Intense mode. All you need is a group of Electric rodents. Or only an Alolan Raichu with Nasty Plot.
Seriously though, where is her Gastrodon/Swampert/Quagsire to reduce her Electric weakness? And her Pelipper/Gyarados/Swanna to hit the Grass types somehow?
Every leader was challenging so far, but I expected something more of her... I mean, her team doesn't stand a chance vs Electric types OR Grass types.
-
Madame X's Yveltal down on first try? Without a fear set? Without healing items?
Well, rodent pokemon are OP apparently.

Rejuvenation Mystery egg just hatched... May the odds be ever in my favour! @Wolfox you will like this

Started Rejuv with Popplio I take it @seki108.
I have never used Zoroark, weirdly enough... Maybe someday! I like the ability

Jesus Christ, Narcissa's Gym puzzle is impossible. And annoying. Impossibly annoying. AND annoyingly impossible. All together.
-
The level gaps in Pokemon Rejuvenation are ridiculous. Defeat Keta, then level skyrocket and in the next two battles Rorrim B has 2 fucking Ludicolos at mid 30s and a Shadow Sudowoodo. Then Aelita is EVEN MORE ridiculous, with Pokemon exceeding the level cap!
Seriously, wtf.
-
-
-
I didn't mind Keta... He had 5 on Insane mode btw. Hitmontop, Pangoro, Scrafty, Hawlucha and Sawk (level 28-30). But the level gap between his mons and the next important battle (Rorrim B. and Aelita), which comes in the next Route, is huge. From 28-30 it rockets to 34-36. With only 3-4 regular trainers to grind on. It is a grindfest.

Ah, good old Sundays. Filled with the lack of motivation to do ANYTHING. Without guilt. So nice.

2 things give me every disease that exists. 1) Mimikyu 2) Z-moves

@Wolfox I don't remember much, but at some point we were talking about Hunger Games simulations.
@Zargerth It's simply a clash of perspectives. I am a bit bitter about how things ended up. Needless to say, some pokemon will always be better than others. Centralizing is a problem though. Z-moves are a problem, due to their playing a huge role in modern gameplay. They either force certain strategies or force bans on certain pokemon simply because they might abuse said strategies (even if the pokemon was completely viable without a Z-move or even inferior and needed it).
My point on "mindset" is the tolerance you mention. Limitation inherently destroys creativity. I keep bringing Gen6 as the most common relevant example because its main asset was the multitude of threats and possible teambuilding scenarios. Teams kept going more diverse (with the casual 'waves' of stall, then HyperO, then balance and so on).
I was asking for more Megas because the basis was good. IMO, if they expanded on that, they could improve te gameplay, provide some alternatives and further boost our poke-pool with the new pokemon with new type-combinations (etc etc) in the following generations. Dropping all that for something inferior feels cheap.
You argue that it's ok to play in a frame that limits gameplay, because in the end it forces you to improve. I disagree, because I argue that creativity promotes progress. Right now it's more like grinding.
I might have become old, idk.
I find myself trying new pokemon in Reborn, because I can no longer do it on showdown.
-
@NickCrash I actually agree with you on that limitation hurts creativity. If anything, working with limited options is coping in current circumstances. By saying that certain group of people have accepted the fact that not every character is equal I mean sort of "the strong prevail" kind of thing.
My brother used to play on Showdown a lot back in Gen 6. He climbed pretty high in the ladder (1700 at best iirc) with Fighting and Rock. But now that Gen 7 happened, he pretty much lost interest after a while. So despite what you and Jess might think, I can at least somewhat relate to you.
I tend to try new Pokemon in fan games as well. I don't have to constantly delete my save files, and I can see what the mons I picked can do in a more demanding environment (fan games have more advanced strategies).
-
First of all; as others have said tbh laddering isn't for everyone. I occasionally get spurts where I get really motivated to do it(like the a few weeks back when I nearly climbed to 1800 in OU)but it quickly becomes boring because of said repetition. Hence why it's generally more fun to play in tournaments and with friends due to the smaller amount of people there's likely a higher chance for them to be using something different; hence it isn't as repetitive. It's certainly what I tend to have more fun doing more often than not.
The reason those specific mons are so high up for mono bug are because they tend to cover it's weak points well and are good win conditions. This is also inherently because Bug as a typing has a lot of repetition in it's Pokemon itself. Lot's of Quiver Dance moth's for which are inherently outclassed by Volcarona. On the other hand the more unique ones such as Araquanid and Armaldo tend to stand out because they bring specific valued niches to the type as a whole.

Why is Sableye so annoying? I don't even know when it is Mega to not set up Spider Web/Stealth Rocks and when it is normal with Prankster to avoid using my Physical attackers.
