Fire red for the story. Emerald for pokemon-wise and ofc the battle frontier.

Firered it is then thank you.

fire red has basically no story, almost all of it is implied story. I just like how fire red allows you to explore, without holding your hand in every location ever. like, youre not forced to visit this location before another location, which is something I really like about kanto.

  2. Just beat Amaria in my second run, she was one of the few gym leaders which were easy in both of my runs. To be fair giving the player alolan raichium Z and a Z-ring for it is just cruel to her.

Well I suppose I just wait for Rejuv to update. Maybe it is time to update my signature.

Funny in my first play through Deliverance couldn't get past my gastrodon,

unfortunately gastrodon couldn't get past it either so I had to pp stall it.

In my second run it got double teamed by amoonguss and conkeldurr (with an aurora veil up),

so yeah no chance at all for victory.

Deliverance seems to be defensively invested.

  3. Welcome. You can find your signature under account settings.
  4. It depends on what the game has/wants to offer. Personally I think that games without tutorials can lead for extremely satisfying revelations when you find out about a mechanic that you previously didn't use. Also it allows the player to devellop strategies in his own way. That being said there has been cases where this if done badly can lead in severe problems during the game (looking at you Dark Souls) but that is for everything in games.
  5. Sometimes I feel I'm a bit cruel when dueling. Today I let my opponent do all his Fabled stuff ending in a crystal wing synchro dragon, a Skull dread and a Shooting Quasar dragon and a storming just to take both crystal wing and shooting quasar dragon OTK'ing him.

Next duel same thing but this time I took quasar and Skull dread.

You're not cruel, you did the right thing c:

  6. I will highly suggest an Amoonguss. Given that you're team is rather slow and has some setup moves amoonguss can become an interesting pivot. Being a slow spore setter means that on the switch the sleep is guarantueed and that the following turn(s) has a good chance to go unhindered. Getting that nasty plot/sword dance becomes a lot easier. So many gyms fell to the power of that strat. Clear smog can also be used to get rid of pesky boosts comming from seeds which Ame uses a lot. Certain a good utility moon. For that psychic pokemon getting Alolan raichu or a trick room setter like Reuneclis might be interesting. Your team is slow so getting trick room can be very beneficial. Alolan raichu as a speedy offensive pokemon can cover for the low speed of your team or cripple with a nuzzle/thunder wave (combines with togekiss pretty well). If you get far enough you can make it your Z-move user.
  7. Did you get the mystery egg (trade egg for growlith in police station)? It tends to give good pkmn.
  8. Well after a bit of thinking I decided on Alola-Raichu. Thank you all for your suggestions. @NickCrash I will keep the advise for heracross in mind.
  9. I love my waifu brandish deck. The fact that it can make a topologic bomber dragon that is unaffected by card effects and can't be destroyed by battle is just icing on the cake.

unbeatable Topologic. I love those words. even if it's not official, he is a true Spiritual Successor to the Red Dragon Archfiend cards

      I need to test this

  10. Given the comments I am considering between Alolan raichu (I am a bit worried about that (lower) special attack), magnezone (that triple fire/ground and fighting weaknesses though) and starmie (best anti boss move is icy wind for now).
  11. I just beat ciel butcame to the conclusion that my team needs a little update. Specifically 'm looking something to replace mismagius. Preferable I look for something fast or something against boss mons (preferable both). So my team looks like this: Mismagius Timid/Levitate Shadow ball Power gem Destiny bond Nasty plot Tyrantrum Jolly/Rock Head Dragon dance Head smash Dragon claw Earthquake Alolan Ninetales Modest/Snow warning Blizzard Moonblast Freeze-dry Aurora Veil Incineroar Brave/Intimidate Cross chop Flare Blitz Dark Lariat Outrage Amoonguss Sassy/Regenerator Spore Giga drain Clear smog Synthesis Conkeldurr Adamant/Guts Strength Hammer arm Mach punch Stone edge Thank you in advance.
  12. TFW your rock type pokemon defeats 5 of samson's pokemon. Who cares about type advantage.

I swept samson with a bibarel last time. what the fuck is a type chart.

  13. Thhat moment in the game where you break the mechanics and all your units have +200% attack and defense.

  14. My gueses would be: Bennet: mono bug Laura: mono grass (Crazy thought: they might team up as a doubles) El: mono normal Heather: mono flying Anna: mono psychic These are the ones that of right now feel viable e4 material. Depending on the story I feel that: someone might fall off, my crazy doubles team might happen or Anna is the secret champion.
  15. Well at the very least you could make them less obnoxious. After all who doesn't love going through the same dialogue twice (looking at you iola valley)? Also I feel it is necessairy to accept the limitations of your band aids. For instance overwriting hm moves is neat but it isn't a good solution for when you have to surf, dive then surf again, another dive then a waterfall and then a strength which forces you to go back to the pc do all that stuff again then do strength, then surf, waterfall, dive surf to then see you require rock smash. The next episode adds another tm to the list in the form of rock climb. Ametrine mountain requires 6 HM's to fully explore of which 2~3 not directly visible. Amaria's gym suffers from the same problem. On top of that you need to expand some movepool to gap the discrepancy between the main game and reborn. This became clear with gen 7 with a lot of pokemon not learning HM moves which hinders the experience but rock climb will be an other hassle to deal with because so little pokemon of gen 5,6 and 7 can learn it.
  16. Normally I would disagree but recently my opinion has shifted. It's easier to receive the full downsides of TMs (like constant HM shifting or not having any HM compatible mon) and believe me it is no fun. My biggest issue is with how hypocritical/nonsensical it is handled. Gen 7 has no HM's but reborn keeps them anyway. At the same time reborn doesn't update the gen 7 mons to incorporate HM's. That doesn't make any sense. You either follow the main game or you implement your custom mechanics properly. Canonically HM's aren't a thing anymore so 5 is false. Also 2 is subjective considering HM/TM teaching is no fun. 3 is subjective of TM/HM shifting. 4 is irrelevant to the issue of being forced to have HM compatible mons.
  17. Yet my mismagius can learn shadow sneak. @Sayia I'm not blaming anyone. I just want to report a bug but I need full information for that. I'm very much aware of the breedabilty of these moves(I wanted to breed 3 of them myself). No need to be so defensive.
