    I beat the crazy lady. It would've been another A-Raichu sweep if not for my blunder: A-Raichu leveled up past the cap (lvl 55) during the battle and disobeyed me. Fortunately my other mons were able to finish the job. This is my team, I'm planning on catching and training a couple of new mons:

    I used to struggle against Angie a lot, I guess Dual Screen support is just that good.

      My starter was Eevee, which I evolved into Espeon. I intended to start with Ralts, but got Eevee instead.

    Crawli's bugs are crushed. Both Crawli and Ren provided actual challenge, maybe I need to pay more attention to my EVs and could've leveled Orciorio up to lvl 50 for Hurricane smh

    I also got my hands on Prankster Meowstic, and despite being severely under-leveled it still did well against Saki and Venam.

      Ooh, I'm curious how can you keep Lunatone..is it that good?

      I dunno, but Lunatone has served me well. It even tanked Gengar's Never-ending Nightmare (albeit weakened) and OHKO'd it in return. I'm also considering bringing it against Amber.

    Valarie is down. That Lanturn of hers was really bulky, Psychic after 2 Nasty Plots didn't OHKO it. 3 Nasty Plots finally did the trick, I pretty much steamrolled the battle.

    I did it! Narcissa was easily the most difficult battle thus far. Fortunately I found one Ability Capsule in Wispy Tower, and changed Mr. Mimes ability to Soundproof. Yeah, Mr. Mime was da MVP in this battle. This is the crew that got the job done:

      I don't remember finding Heart Scales that early in the game. In my opinion Narcissa is one of the more difficult leaders of the game, even when you're not doing a mono run. Marianette on the other hand is relatively easy without A-Raichu, just use special attacks on Bewear.

      Yah, 110 Speed w Sleep Powder and Leech Seed was ironically super great at supporting stuff like Bulk Up Toxicroak, Typhloshion, Crobat into winning very easily at the time. Haven't used it in forever but that run made me SUPER fond of the thing.

    Eli and Sharen were actually challenging to defeat. Geara on the other hand and surprisingly, not so much.

      What's funny is that his Frillish of all things was probably his best mon in the battle against me.

    What Grass-types are even available before Julia, other than starter mons? Wormadam maybe, but anything else? I can't remember.

    You know what I like? To sweep Gym Leaders with A-Raichu. It's been smooth sailing so far, but that's bound to change. Here's my team atm:

      If there's a legit way, but it's too troublesome, then it is OK by my rules to hack a few Ability Capsules in by debug menu to save time. Honestly though, we're 11 Gym Badges in. We should've been able to buy Ability Capsules since like 5th Gym, it's not that crazy/game breaking to have Ability Capsules.

      @JessThey used to be available on route 3, but that was removed in V8 or 9 from what I remember. Might ask Jan if he'll add them in again.

      @Azeria It would be great to have them. Not having them post-(say) 5th Gym doesn't offer anything with regards to game difficulty, since we can breed for 'mons with the correct Ability. It just saves us time (and helps morally, cause I'm bonding with my mons too much to replace them by breeding for better Ability).

    I've been looking for Zangoose for a while now. I've found 3 shiny Charjabugs and a shiny Fletchinder, but still no Zangoose. I honestly don't know if I should consider myself lucky or unlucky.

    Edit: Make that 4 shiny Charjabugs.

    Update: I also found the Zangoose I needed.

    Since I enjoyed my previous Monotype run and while waiting for Version 10, I've decided to do another Monotype run, this time of Rejuvenation Intense Mode. The type of choice will be Psychic. I initially planned to start the game with Ralts, but after failing to get one my starter will be Espeon instead:

    Dewpider / Araquanid actually is available by then or very soon. From my experience, it's really good mon. Just don't rely on it's physical bulk too much, since mons with high Attack definitely break through.

    @Chameleon109 From what I understand, there will be 19 Episodes in total. I don't know for sure how much story content there will be in the last episode, but if you prefer to play the game once it's complete (story-wise), you have to wait until at least Episode 18 is released.

    E17 new Gym Leaders are defeated! I guess that concludes my Normal Monotype run. I actually had lots of fun with this, especially since mid-game.

    I have the Z-ring quest left, but I dun goofed and evolved the Loudred into Exploud long time ago.

      Here. I have to give dishonorable mentions to Girafarig and Audino, as I didn't use them much at all in important battles (besides as death fodder). Furret scouted Heart Scales with it's Frisk ability. I also used the Igglybuff you get early on, but have already returned it.

      Edit: Weather mod allowed me to randomize my starter, so my first mon was Komala.

    Yes Zekrom, that's what I would say as well if I got one-shot by Drampa that's 20 levels lower.
