Correct, though you could also say the last one is for the Forest of Time, as they share backgrounds, next to the filename being called BattleBgTime! The old background that is currently in Rejuvenation being used for daytime, evening and nighttime are old backgrounds I made roughly 2-3 years ago, so just to give a little comparison for a before and after... Not only is the new background better in quality overall, the background has become significantly easier to edit for alternate forest fields due to only having a limited color palette and now being fully done in pixel art rather than being a blurry mess. It should save us a lot of time in the future, at the very least! I'm probably going to add a couple of smaller unique details to some of these fields instead of keeping them as just recolors (especially Darchlight!), so look forward to the fully polished backgrounds in V13! :]

Oof, I don't think that's a known bug! Thanks for letting us know, we'll make sure to have it fixed in the next version.

Most fun one? Hands down Ryland's fucked up VS portrait from V12. Made that one entirely from scratch and had SO much fun working on it. I don't draw stuff like that very often, but I enjoy drawing creepy stuff from time to time! The least fun? god damn eternatus for the Gen 8 addition in v13, aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

My mom used blonde spray on my hair to lighten it a little bit before I started actively dyeing it in 2014, and I've had the red hair since late 2014 - early 2015. I dye my hair every 3-5 months or so! 3) It's generally pretty peaceful??? Not a whole lot happens here. I don't care much for the country itself as much as I simply love the town I live in, because of its community and me feeling I'm actually able to be a part of it somehow 4) There's unfortunately, despite the peace, a relatively large amount of people who are xenophobic, lol... People tend to hate immigrants. 5) yeah

Soooo... It's finally time to show the full versions off of the character art for Rejuvenation's early game characters! As most of you are probably well aware, a good couple of these characters have different appearances/outfits later in the game, but I will be drawing art for those as well. For the time being, here's the plot-relevant characters up to Carotos mountain -- Melia (1st appearance), Ren (1st appearance), Venam (1st appearance), Zetta, Nim, Aelita (1st appearance), Keta and Madelis! ...Yes, I forgot Eli and Sharon. And Amanda. Eli & Sharon will be included in the next batch though!! And Amanda I'll be keeping for West Gearen characters for.... Reasons you can probably all appreciate. :] *cough* her battle right before erick's battle catching me off guard every fucking time *cough cough couGH COUGH* Either way, all of the individual transparent character artworks can be found in the Official art thread! There's also a bunch of icons I made of the new art that you can use if you want in that thread as well, so feel free to check it out

hello yes i have actually done something gen 8 related this week outside of the character art and that's making the got dam bone snake's -- aka Eternatus -- hell backsprite. i already did the front sprite back in December but i kept putting it OFF because iiiiiiiiiii knew this sprite was going to give me pain and guess what! it sure fucking did. jesus christ almighty i am DEAD but anyways take these. u'll be seeing these in game at some point. when? i do not know!!!!!! i actually really don't know LOL so don't read into it pls, but i had to make them anyways because of the gen 8 project so u'll get to see them in the graphics folder at the very least!!!!!! also u know im frustrated when i decide to write forum posts in the same way i normally talk on discord. this sprite can eat big stinky doodoo for all i care >:^(

Yep! His VS portrait in-game actually has been changed slightly as well to match his official art better, as I felt it's more visible what a sorry state the poor guy actually is in like this. The differences between his normal and his spirit portrait are much more clear now, too! I've put a comparison in the spoilers.

Taking a short break from Gen 8 spriting to work on something else that's probably a little overdue....

As I explained on discord, our current consensus on the matter is that only base Gen 8 is set to be included with V13. We haven't settled on what we'll do with the DLC additions yet in the sense of whether we're adding those in a patch or in V14. so we can't make any promises on that field yet!

I don't really care much for musicals, but my favourite artists are Kensington and Coldplay!

Tip: If you have Photoshop, open up your tilesets in there and copy in those swatches you have in an empty spot on the tileset, then merge it with the layer the tileset is on. Grab the bucket tool, turn off anti-aliasing and contiguous mode, then color all those swatches you have pure black. Et voila! You'll have all of the outlines turned completely black in one go without having to do everything manually. Don't forget to remove the swatches later on though, lol. I'm not sure if there's equivalents of this in other programs, but it's extremely useful to recolor stuff so I'd recommend finding a program that supports such a function.

Dunno where you got this information from, but I doubt anyone's said anything of this sort, so there's no real reason to believe there's not gonna be more crests. I'm not really too sure on the details myself either though, lol.... But I doubt this is the last you'll see of them.
