This week is a rather plentiful week of updates, isn't it? Well I've got one last thing to show off for now! But before we get to what's being added, let's introduce you all to someone! Some of you might remember this character being on some of Gearen's billboards in older versions of the game + you've also probably met her mother Jolene in the game by now, but I'd like you to meet Volta! In the older versions of Rejuvenation, she was the electric type gym leader, who would go on to retire and be replaced by Erick, who then still played a significantly smaller role than he does now. In the current version of the game she was a gym leader that acted as the stand-in for Saki, but now Erick has taken over her spot as gym leader as she went off to GDC to become a news reporter... Basically reducing her to a character that's only been mentioned once or twice. But now you're probably wondering, why haven't we seen more of her yet if she's still somewhat relevant? Well, I'm here to answer that question! In V13, we're adding a hints system that is accessible through the TV's you find in houses. This system is meant to help you find your way around if you're lost on as of where to go next, which is particularly useful when you haven't played in a while and you have no clue where you left off... And Volta will be the one appearing on TV to tell you all about the latest scoops and happenings that will put you back on track! And to go with this new hints system, she got a fresh new look to go along with it as well. Meet our new Volta! Next time you get lost in the game just find the most nearby TV, and Volta will be there to tell you all about the latest happenings so you can find your way back to where you need to go! We hope you will appreciate the addition of the hints system. It's going to be a bit of work to write them all out considering how long the game itself is, but we hope it'll help some of you in the future! Don't expect these V13 content updates to be this frequent by the way, as this post is about something for which the graphics were finished a few months ago already. Updates in regards to new V13 content will probably remain scarce for a while until we're done with Gen 8 implementation (unless Jan wants to post something about it whenever he feels like it LOL), so please be patient with us for a little while longer as we try to get all of that sorted out first! Oh, and I completely forgot to mention it in my previous post... but Happy New Year from everyone in the Rejuv dev team! Let's all hope for another great year!

1) Mmmmm not really. I do like most of Dan Brown's books, thought! Just that I'm more of a fanfic reader than anything else sdghfjsdfsvbdgns 2) There's a good couple of artists that inspire me! A couple of my friends, but also some other artists that I simply follow on twitter. I'd recommend checking out Jenna Brown's, Loish's, ExTrident's and Hitofutarai's artwork, those are some of my favourites!! I have, actually! If I ever somehow end up not being able to draw anymore, I'll probably consider pursuing music and particularly digital production as a career path. I still want to take vocal lessons again at some point as well.

Mugshots! Trainer sprites are fine but I find enjoyment in doing larger sprites since it's easier to draw facial expressions, which I really like doing. 1) it's actually derived from an old OC I had back in 2011, which I then turned into an username I had for a while (Zumidesu), and people started calling me Zumi because of it. The nickname stuck, so I'm still using it now! 2) .........................................would it be bad to say i havent even played any fangames outside of rejuv and reborn................... 3) Curry madras!!! like..... 600 fast

owl 1) for about 6 years now! working on rejuv actually helped me realize i want to do visual art for games as a job and helped me make a career path choice! 2) bruh that's asking me to dig up the depths of my memory which is already like swiss cheese -- full of holes............... but i think it was a game boy color jungle book game??? it was either that, pokemon blue or a bugs life on the n64 3) good!!! i celebrated it over at my friend's place and it was v fun

Ampharos! Next to that, while I don't think these two are my favourite mons, the combination of Sylveon and Primarina has also served me incredibly well in my current playthrough. Crobat is also always a solid mon to have on your team in Rejuv, and I also like using Golisopod! 100% the flower parade this past year! It was my first year actually helping designing a float, and I probably couldn't have asked for a better debut with 2nd place, the 1st public's choice award and a plume for excellence in concealing actors on the float LOL I designed it along with my brother and two other guys from the workgroup! Have some pics and a video in the spoiler!!! It looks better in motion tbh uwu Maple trees are nice!!!! They have super nice colors in the autumn and I'm a sucker for bright autumn colors 1) 2) Someone mentioned that they put ice cubes in their milk on my discord and it ended up in the Great Milk Discourse of 2019 because it got WAY out of hand and the entire server was just yelling at each other (i'm on team "don't fuckin put ice cubes in your milk you heathen, put your milk in the fridge instead" by the way)

im feeling mildly chaotic and apparently there was an AMA trend in august i missed so i'm uhhhhhhhhh 4 months late but hi i'm zumi, i'm a reborn discord mod + main artist for Rejuvenation and here's my Ask Me Anything™ thread i was gonna put guidelines on how far i'm going with answering but i'll just think of what i'll answer and what i won't go into detail about on the go so fuck it. lets go gamers

We're slowly chipping away at Gen 8 addition! The most work remains with spriting at the moment -- we could wait for other people to do all of the front sprites, but since it slows down overall development and re-balancing of the game, I've been doing some work for it. myself Here's a couple of sprites for Morgrem and Grimmsnarl I did today! My goal for the time being is to do at least five sprites every week so the spriting progress will start keeping a steady pace, since it's been a little hiccup-y lately with the holidays. It's time to get into the swing of things! I'll be showing off more front sprites in the case people from the dev team have done them from scratch as quite a couple of the ones we're using are made by people outside of our dev team... And I doubt backsprites are interesting to show off lol. Either way, please be patient with us as we're working on this slowly but steadily!

By the way! I mentioned this on Discord, but to those who have done my NPC's sidequest and found the advanced dex reward subpar for the work they put into it, and to those who haven't done it because they felt the reward would be subpar, surprise! In V13, this quest will be rewarded with another thing, but in the long run, so not immediately after completing it (or if you already have, as soon as you load up V13. Even then!). You'll have to wait a bit to be able to obtain the other reward, but it'll be worth it! Very, very worth it. :^).

trust me i've tried. it's really, really hard and i don't think i could ever do it justice LOL, the original is just way too good

Actually, I had to help someone with a similar problem earlier this week. Your savefile is likely corrupted, please try reverting to an older savefile if you have backups enabled! If that doesn't work, try downloading the patch for V12.2 in the V12 download thread which is pinned to the subforum. If that still doesn't work and you don't have backup files enabled, unfortunately we probably won't be able to do anything for you and it means you'll have to make a new file :[

We're aware of the changes of course. We're still deciding on whether we're implementing certain ones or not.

As much as I'd love to give out details, there's very little set in stone at the moment. We'd rather reveal what we decided to add in once implementation of gen 8 is complete!

As much as the Gen 8 changes might be for the better or worse (beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all), please try to remain on topic here! This thread isn't for discussing gen 8 mechanics but for the progression of development for V13.

Well, even though I can't show off V13 content because a lot of it is still in heavy development, I do have something else to show off! It's nothing extraordinary, but the VS portraits for a couple of the protagonists got some minor touch ups, as there were definitely a couple of things that could be improved about them. They should look better now, at the very least! All the changes made are visible in the spoilers. Old on the left, new on the right!

Man if only y'all knew what we have planned for v13..... route 4 is only the beginning unfortunately, can't tell you what we've got in store! :^)

They function basically the same as they do in SWSH, so they give fixed amounts of Exp!
