TBH, even if you don't particularly want either of the main presidential candidates, I would still encourage you to go vote. If you don't have anyone you agree with, write in your own name if you want. But you really should go to the polling stations to vote in local and state elections, because even if you hate the president, regardless of who it turns out to be, there are far more names and positions on that ballot than Hillary or Trump. Local and state elections will also have an important role on your life as a resident of that state or county and due to the nature of things, your vote will count for more in the local and state elections than it does in the presidential election. Other things being voted on at the polling stations come Tuesday include resolutions, such as the legality of medical marijuana or tax increases to pay for different services. Even if you are completely disillusioned about the presidential race, I urge you to please still go and vote on the other important choices on the ballot.

I'm supposed to be studying, but I wanted to get involved in a little bit of discussion here, so I will just throw in a couple of cents here and be on my way. I'll (probably) be back to chat more in the next few days. Just read the bold text for tl;dr. Okay, so this topic was from a little while ago in this thread (not going to lie, I was ignoring this thread for a lil bit due to its political nature but eventually my curiosity got the better of me), but sexual assault, specifically referring to the arguments of "why now" and "too late/should have come forward sooner to make it non-politicized:" As others have stated, sexual assault is an incredibly traumatic experience that often leads to the victim being further abused if they come forward with their allegations. As a result, most don't tell for years or even decades in certain cases. It should certainly be noted that the criminal law in America reflects this reluctance to come forward, since in most states, there is no statute of limitations on rape (and there are several allegations of rape being raised against Trump), with many states having a sizable period of time for the victims to come forward for other sexual misconduct and offenses. Thus, there's really no reason that they shouldn't be able to come forward at anytime, regardless of the obvious impact it will have on the opinions of people for the election. I'm certain that they were inspired in some way by the terror of the potential for their sexual abuser to become the nation's Executive or by the reveal of the 2005 tape and its implications that they were not only the one of the the many women that Mr. Trump had mistreated or, quite frankly, some or all of them may be lying about the allegations and only raised them for the desire to harm Mr. Trump's candidacy in some way. Regardless of the truth of the allegations, it is important to remember that they are entirely within their legal rights to raise these charges against Mr. Trump at any point in time and shouldn't necessarily be scrutinized (outside of the very real and necessary legal scrutiny their cases should receive within the court of law) by the general public simply based on timing alone.

If you think that Manectric has the worst level-up movepool out of Electric types, I invite you to look at Tynamo. Moving on, tbh, Manectric gets about everything it needs to be a decent special attacker through the natural progression in the game. Discharge is highly spamable in Reborn, even getting a boost on certain fields like the Factory field, as well as being excellent for otherwise troubling Double battles by potentially doing tons of damage and paralyzing two Pokemon. It also gets one of the best moves it could ask for by the time you obtain it via TM57: Charge Beam. The potential to hit with decent STAB damage while setting up is nothing to be slept on and it allows Manectric to actually sweep many otherwise challenging fights as a revenge killer/cleaner. You almost certainly want to soft-reset until you get the necessary IVs for HP Ice, however, as it will be invaluable later on. Hidden Power is also obtained naturally after Noel, so before then, you just need to make sure you have some support for Manectric to help him with Ground and Grass types (another Grass type works pretty well here). Flamethrower does come a bit late, but it is still a solid enough move. Thunder is another option for pure power, esspecially if you want to combine it with Ludicolo to handle each others problems and have both benefit from the Rain that Ludicolo can set up via Rain Dance (Lotad learns via level-up at 27, which is would need to still be Lotad at the level anyways to grab either Giga Drain or Energy Ball). It is also worth mentioning that Electrike actually learns T-Wave as well- and while you point out Magnemite learns it, at the level Magnemite is obtainable, you will have to utilize the move relearner or the daycare to actually have it on Magnemite, since it is catchable in the low 30s in Reborn and learns it at level 13 as of ORAS. And to breed it onto Magnemite, you obviously must have a Ditto since Magnemite is genderless, so if you want to save your heart scales, T-Wave Magnemite has worse availability than T-Wave Manectric, since Manectric can breed with anything in the field egg group. I will admit that Magnezone has much nicer general utility in its abilities, but Lightning Rod is still excellent against the AI, since you can easily trick them into using any Electric type move and proceeding to destroy their lives I'm looking at you, Shade. Magnezone does also have a significant advantage in base special attack, although this advantage is mitigated if Manectric polishes off a Pokemon with Charge Beam and gets the boost, leaving it stronger than Magnezone. While Magnezone does obviously have access to Charge Beam as well, Manectric does it better with its superior speed. Plus, while Magnezone does have an absolute ton of resistances- we're talking 11 resistances and 1 immunity here- it's kinda rendered moot when you consider that every significant fight after the Magnezone line is obtained (with the exclusion of the most recent PULSE) has had coverage to nail Magnezone on the few weaknesses it has. Most commonly through Focus Blast, but sometimes through the likes of strong ground types, like Nidoking, Gliscor, or Garchomp. It's certainly noteworthy that while Magnezone does lose to these mons due to being outsped and KOed by SE coverage, Manectric can actually beat them through Charge Beam+HP Ice, coupled with its high speed. For example, on Ciel, you can whittle down her other Pokemon with Charge Beam, slowly boost up while he insists on healing, and them OHKO Gliscor when she finally sends it in because you outspeed. Manectric is also just fast enough to outspeed Garchomp, which is a significant benchmark to pass. All in all, I find you claims that Manectric is a terrible Special Attacker in Reborn are rather baseless. Yes, it does require a bit of assistance from Charge Beam and HP Ice, but I honestly never once found that I needed any more than Electric STAB and HP Ice for the entirety of Reborn up to the current release. Speed is the main determinant in the differences in these Pokemon, and while Manectric does have its flaws, it is a valuable and powerful Pokemon that offers many assets. And while I just spent a decent chunk of time defending Manectric and I love to use it, I still believe that Ampharos is actually the best Electric type in Reborn since it has the ability to be either a slower, bulker mon, similar to Magnezone, with nice support movesl like T-Wave and Cotton Guard, or to be faster and stronger, similarly to Manectric using Agility and Charge Beam. Plus, it has a very nice level-up movepool and its Mega Evolution only highlights these strengths. Also, I gotta say, Mega Ampharos beats Mega Manectric almost 100% of the time because STAB Dragon Pulse can one shot it, while Manectric's HP Ice only does 40-50%, assuming it's not a particularly bulky Ampharos.

Well if we go off of Grimer and Muk being based on water pollution, then it's quite simple. Different treatments of the water in Alola would result in different water conditions, and, in extension, different pollution and different Grimers and Muks. Frankly, it's more of a wonder that the water pollution in the other regions all appears to be the same level. I'm sorry, but I do refuse to believe that Kalos and Unova produce the same amount of water pollution as Hoenn. It just doesn't make sense that it wouldn't have adapted before now. But whatevs. Also, Type: Null seems to be copying Arceus with its evolved ability (which is likely what the creators of Type: Null were going for, so good for them). It looks like it will be an interesting one.

Dugtrio is still useful as a Trapper for Pokemon besides just Steel types (which Magneton/zone do better, since they have more bulk and better Special Attack than Dugtrio has Attack). It's pretty solid at removing things like non air-balloon/scarf Heatran, which is something Magnezone has some trouble with. Other bothersome Pokemon can be worn down and trapped by it, which is very useful for breaking certain stall teams or for keeping your stall team alive (as we saw with Shadow Tag Gothitelle + M-Sableye). Dugtrio will still see some usage, but it will be a lot more rare. Also, I expect Azelf to remain in OU for the remainder of Gen VI. I think it will have a very good role as a suicide lead on HO and it can be a pretty solid Nasty Plot Cleaner imo, although dealing with Bisharp and other priority users is a must for it to do so. I doubt people will care enough to see if it can fall back into UU before Generation 7 begins.
