The developers over at Stoic must have some sort of thing for insane and strangely wise/useful Spearmen, since in BS2, there's one available with either caravan, with Tryggvi in the main group and Bak with Bolverk.

Replaying through Banner Saga 1, Allete was a lot stronger in combat than I remembered her being. Thread the Needle combined with Splinter essentially allowed you to completely strip 4 or 5 Dredge of their armor in a single turn with proper positioning.

Nope, there is exactly 1 Beldum event in the game and it can be done exactly 1 time. Sorry, man. You could see if there's anyone around who is willing to edit it into your save game, but beyond that, you'll have to go back.

I mean, they never take the tier a mon is being moved to into consideration when removing it from a tier. If it is too good for the current tier, it gets moved up, like Greninja or Lando-I, regardless of how often they are used in Ubers (almost never in their case). If it ends up seeing nonexistent usage in a tier, then they consider if it would be better is a lower tier, regardless of the actual impact it would have on the lower tier. Example: Honchkrow was in BL2 for the longest time before it dipped in RU and temporarily wrecked havoc. If they had taken into consideration the tier that they were moving Honchkrow into, they likely would have just kept it in BL2.

i'm still up and ready to battle as well, but I can somewhat see what the others are saying and where they are coming from. It's been a long season, with the initial hype slowly dying with each loss and with every other person that drops out of the competition. A couple members stopped returning and The Family became fractured as a result. We've had many recent losses to the hands of paralysis and crits if I see another Galvantula in the next year, it'll be too soon. I can understand why they are no longer interested in the competition because they are feeling deflated about their own abilities to succeed. But this is not an admission of defeat. No, the remaining Ravenholts will resist the pulls of loss and give it our all one final time. -
Going out of town for the next few days to check out a college or two. Internet connection will be patchy because Wyoming, so I'll probably see you guys in a few days.

The perfect set that could never be- With the conclusion of my battle for the week, I want to turn the spotlight to the Pokemon that was almost perfect for this particular competition, but, unfortunately, due to stupid Emerald Exclusive move tutors, could not exist. Without further ado, I present to you, Endure Special Sharpedo: Loan Shark (Sharpedo) (M) @ Petaya Berry Ability: Speed Boost EVs: 44 Atk / 252 SpA / 212 Spe Mild Nature - Dark Pulse - Ice Beam - Endure - Aqua Jet Endure is a fantastic move when you're using berries like Petaya, Salac, and Liechi. It allows you to trigger them safely by making sure you survive on 1 HP. The idea with this sharpedo is to Endure an attack and retaliate hard. The speed investment allows it to actually outspeed max speed Electrode after just 1 Speed Boost, which is all it needs since no Scarves allowed. Petaya Berry and maximum special attack investment allows for it to easily clean up late game. Aqua Jet is to pick off Pokemon that have sustained Priority, like Metagross or Medicham, when they're low on health. Endure can handle the likes of Custap explosion. No special Water move was needed, since Dark and Ice hit most everything Avalon has hard. -

All the same, it was a fun game and I'm sorry it took some maneuvering time-wise to arrange it. I heartily appreciate that my opponent took time out of his busy schedule to accommodate me.

Yeah, and it can do things like the Rest+Natural Cure combo, which takes a turn, but restores 100% of health and prevents being whittled by Toxic and Burn or being Paraed or Frozen to death, where Regenerator is excellent, but only restores 33%, unfortunately. Not to mention, Seed Flare is still a base 120 STAB move with a 40% chance of dropping SpeDef 2 Stages. I could definitely see Sap Sippers rising in usage and Shaymin being banned.

You would be thinking of Shaymin-Sky, which remains in Ubers due to High Speed and Serene Grace.
