  1. Reborn isn't really a game where I'd recommend using the same 6 Pokemon throughout your playthrough. Especially since you can't get any good ones early on but you're still gonna need to build a team to defeat the leaders. For starters I'd recommend Mudkip, Froakie, Chimchar or Torchic. Consider catching a Krikitune because I pretty much 1v6-ed Florinia with one of those by spamming fury cutter. Late game we've got some really good mons available like Aegislash, Excadrill, Ferrothorn, Hippowdon, Garchomp, Rotom-W (these 6 happen to be my main sand team), Weavile, Mega-Lopunny, Magnezone, Skarmory, Clefable, Alakazam etc. so I'd recommend using some of those. Even then you're probably still gonna want multiple battle ready Pokemon in rotation in case one (or more) of your main team is useless against the current match up. Greninja, Weavile and Alakazam are what I mainly use to sweep through battles but you're gonna want some of the more bulky mons for gym battles. Sand rush Excadrill with life orb is also REALLY good.
  2. I'm gonna pick the romance option for the sake of the poll and because that's what would be my preference but the 3rd option probably describes what I actually want better. A non explicitly romantic ending would be perfectly fine too. For example staying with Aelita to take care of Sheridan. Or you could go with Valarie to visit her hometown (I kinda forget where that was). Or stay at Telia resort with Amber (Tesla offered to let you stay there anyway) etc. I'm not asking for a 50 hour visual novel where you get to date each girl but a 15 minute epilogue (with an open ending or otherwise) would be nice. Anyway great thread. Props on making it so the devs at least know we exist and what our opinion is. Whether they choose to take it into consideration or not is a different story. Having choices in the game that give you relationship points with individual characters is a good enough reason for people to at least consider the possibility in my opinion. It also just feels your character is bonding pretty deeply with some of the characters (especially Aelita and Melia) so I don't see why you'd be surprised that people are thinking about a potential romance option.
  3. Well obviously you can completely mark up the rows like the middle one that have only bombs and 1s in them because they're useless. Other than that you're in a casino so it's gonna be largely luck based as you'd expect. You can however increase your odds by analyzing the board. For example the top row has 3 bombs and 6 points which means both of its point squares are gonna be 3s. So it's definitely not gonna be the 4th column since that one can only contain a single 2 point square. At the same time you've excluded the top and middle rows from containing the 2 pointer for the 4th column. Middle column could have one 3 pointer or two 2 pointers so the odds of it being in that one are less than it being in the other 3. On the other hand, columns 1,2 and 5 can also only contain 3 pointers so that gives some very useful information. Now take a look at the bottom row which has 2 bombs and 6 points. You can reach 6 with three 2 point items but since we know 3 of the columns cannot contain 2 pointers, the combination has to be 1, 2 and 3. This means either bottom row middle is the 2 pointer or bottom row 4th column is the 2 pointer. At this point you can just take the 50-50 since it's relatively safe. The middle row only has 1 bomb so your odds are good that you'll at least hit a 1 if not the 2 pointer. And if you hit a 1 then the other spot is guaranteed. From there you can keep doing this type of analyzing but you might be better off just guessing and getting your coins from the lower levels if you fail....
  4. Yes. It's all the way to the right but you might have to go around some obstacles if you just go right and then try to move up/down. It's a large round dive spot not connected to any others.
  5. This door has nothing to do with the submarine or the route 11 pillar puzzle. Or at least you don't need to do any of that first to open it. Go to the spot where Amber dropped down, fall down the hole, walk down and surf on the water. The dive spot is to the left but down there you need to solve a puzzle involving currents which move you around. I'm pretty sure you need to dive down multiple times too because the actual square you're standing on when you dive down determines where you end up and then the current drags you to a different place. Anyway just push all the buttons, a pathway opens up in the current room to the bottom left (good luck navigating the currents to reach it), go through that and you'll end up outside where you can find a single tower with a button to push that opens up the door.
  6. I got an Empoloean crest as a reward for doing the tower thing with dive on route 11. So that's all the Sinnoh starters accounted for.
  7. Did you try entering the castle in the Goodra village? It's big and all the way at the top. You need to go into the castle and talk to the king and queen first then the princess then you can talk to Goomink and the quest will progress.
  8. You need to go back to the present and do the Darchlight manor side quest. The manor is in Darchlight woods which are on the same island as Grand Dream City to the left of route 7. It shouldn't be too hard to find but it's on the left side of the woods and you go up to reach it.
  9. You probably just need to reset the game and start over from wherever your last save was. If you somehow saved while stuck so that doesn't work, you're in luck because Rejuvenation makes a bunch of auto saves by default. Go into your Windows search bar, type in "Game.rxdata" and then when it finds the file right click "open file location" to find your save folder. You'll see a bunch of auto saves in that folder and just rename the newest one to "Game.rxdata" because that's the file your game loads up. Obviously delete or otherwise remove the existing Game.rxdata file. Oh and if you have other games like Pokemon Reborn, make sure you're actually in the Rejuvenation save folder since both games use the same type of system. It should just be named "Pokemon Rejuvenation" so that shouldn't be a problem.
  10. I doubt you've read all my posts in this thread since I've said from the start that I'd be perfectly fine with an open ending where everybody is just friends. What I do not want is all the potential love interests ending up with some other character leaving only the player as this platonic friend because that would basically mean you got cucked 7 times over. Btw, that "the devs are not obligated blah blah blah" is such a throw away statement. Like yea, I can't sue them for not making the type of story I want. Wow, I was not aware of that. I am just sitting here and voicing my opinion on discussion thread about that exact subject. They can choose to take it into consideration or not. I am not here demanding anything nor am I trying to imply they owe me anything. As for the in game characters, I already explained my position in the exact post you're replying to.
  11. No she is saying there is NO romance. And if it's platonic than it's not romantic. It basically means you're "bonding" as friends. " Also I can understand Gheist too we are doing way alot of things while going out of our way for various side characters with no rewards. " The reward is their company (and various items/pokemon/access to locations). But yea I'm probably not the only one who would be upset if they spent years (in game and in real life) risking their lives and fighting for these girls and then at the end they just go: "Oh thanks for all that. Btw, I'm gonna go date/marry X now. Bye bye." I'm not trying to say they necessarily owe you anything but there are certainly implications to how you act towards people of the opposite gender, especially if you constantly end up relying on them. It's complicated in general. But of course you've also done more for some characters than others. I can't tell whether you're being sarcastic or not but if not, how in the hell is she suppose to take a random wild Pokemon fucking with the power lines as a hint that she shouldn't go into a forest she's been in many times before? I mean at this point she had absolutely no idea some evil team was after her or that she should expect anything particularly abnormal to happen. If your car breaks down, do you take that as a hint that you shouldn't go to work that day? And then if you take a taxi/bus and your workplace gets shot up, were you stupid for not taking the "hint"? Or actually in this case you would have fixed your car in 5 minutes and then gone to work driving it. Maybe if the entire train had gotten blown up you would have had a point.
  12. I'm assuming it raises your physical attack the higher your special attack is. The bonus fire damage probably works like flying press and grants the move an extra fire typing. So I guess if you use a normal type move like double edge against a steel type, it would do neutral damage because the weakness/resistances cancel out. And if you used it against a grass type it would be super effective. On the other hand if you used double edge against a water type it would resist it so this has some downsides. This is all my speculation since I don't have an actual Typhlosion to test it out. Okay I changed the text. And yes Ariados is just really slow. This crest basically gives it a free choice scarf but with a base speed stat of 40, even if you give it max speed it would only hit 294 speed at level 100 with the crest on. For comparison, Typhlosion hits 328 without a choice scarf obviously. Infernape 346. Greninja 377. Gardevoir hits 284 so there's one threat you could outspeed as long as it's not mega. So yea it makes you faster but it just raises your terrible speed to average speed. You might be better off with a focus sash if you want to set up webs. Or use Galvantula instead since that hits 346 speed with no crest/choice scarf.
  13. Thanks I managed to complete it finally. And you get a department store sticker which is way more valuable than the crest in my opinion.
  14. I think it's probably telling you that the pathway opened for you to reach the actual button that unlocks the submarine door. So 1 button that's on a pillar thing that you have to click on to press unlocks the submarine door and the 4 buttons on the ground in the dive room with the currents probably unlocks the pathway to reach it. I know the pathway is on the bottom left and you have to navigate through those currents to reach it but I couldn't tell you exactly how. You may need to go all the way back up and dive again because which square you dive down on determines where you end up on the currents.
  15. Do you happen to know where the other leaders are? I think I've only got the first 4 badges from the guy at Gearen laboratory and the one on the route next to Sheridan. Apparently there's 1 in West Gearen but I think I need to battle some other people first.
  16. I've been following development since 2013 and I can definitely tell you watching the world grow was an adventure in its own right. The design of the main city along with the surrounding areas were very well done and clearly a lot of thought was put into everything from the different wards to the grand staircase to Apophyll academy, the routes and all the other areas. It was also very satisfying going through all these different places that team Meteor had destroyed and/or polluted and slowly cleaning the city up through your efforts which eventually leads to it being restored. Opening the grant gates back up is certainly one of these symbolic moments and now the train station has been repaired as well. So yes the aestetics are great (along with the music) but Reborn also has a very engaging story with tons of well written characters, some certainly more relatable than others. The thing that drew me in initially was the difficulty aspect and also Florinia's very interesting speech pattern. Honestly an A+ job on writing her dialogue. Obviously by now I'm way more invested in the word and story but I'm still very much looking forward to stuff like the E4 and champion battle. I've literally had 6+ years to prepare for these so I better do a good job when the time comes. Anyway if you're enjoying Pokemon Reborn, after you've finished the game I HIGHLY recommend you check out Pokemon Rejuvenation which is another fan game heavily inspired by Reborn and has by now created a world as big if not bigger than the Reborn region. It has similar difficulty to Reborn with field effects and Rift Pokemon instead of Pulse mons. It also has a very engaging story and is heavily character focused. I would even say it's better than Reborn in some aspects. Version 12 actually came out a few days ago so most of the bugs will probably get fixed by the time you finish Reborn. In other words this is a great time to start playing. You can find it on the "other games" tab or just scroll down on the main forum page.
  17. Wait, losing is an option? In Reborn you just have to redo the fight if you lose so I didn't even consider that even though I figured out what was going on pretty quickly. Yea I could see it reducing your relationship points if you couldn't recognize your own comrades' Pokemon but I'm not sure how it affects anything. In any case I just win win win so hopefully they won't hold it against me. Especially since they were attacking me as well. Now I'm kinda curious what happens since if you lose the surfer girl loses as well. Maybe I'll load up one of the backups and find out.
  18. Guess I can post all the ones I've got in my bag but I can't guarantee there's not more of them. I probably can't tell you where I found each one either but I know a lot of them were in the Labyrinth and the rest I found by doing version 12 side quests either as a reward or they were items that you can pick up. I just know Infernape was a reward for completing the Goodra side quest (the princess was right, this crest is smelly). Darmanitan, Torterra, Spiritomb and possibly Claydol and Ariados were items to pick up in the castle during Karen's side quest. -Zangoose: Poisons the user and restores HP if the Pokemon is poisoned -Ariados: Increases base speed by 1.5x and always hit critically if target is poisoned -Claydol: Merges its defense and special attack stat to be the same -Darmanitan: Forces you to stay in Zen mode -Spiritomb: Makes Spiritomb stronger for each defeated ally. And recovers heath based on (text cuts off) -Dusknoir: Increases base attack by 1.2x and boosts weaker moves (I'm assuming it works like technician) -Magcargo: Swaps defense and speed. And increases Sp. Atk by 10 -Cofagrigus: Increases base Sp. Def and Sp. Atk by 1.25x -Cherrim: Forces sunshine form -Relicanth: Increases base attack by 1.2x and Sp. def by 1.3x -Skuntank: Boosts attack when hit by ground move -Leafeon: Haves damage from fire and flying attacks -Glaceon: Halves damage taken from rock and steel attacks -Fearow: Increases critical hit ratio by 3 stages -Stantler: Increases attack and accuracy by 50% -Hypno: Increases special attack and accuracy by 50% -Oricorio: Increases speed and special attack by 1.25x -Seviper: Causes Seviper to hit harder against healthier foes (whatever that means) and speed increased by 1.5x -Castform: Causes Castform to use its first weather move and gives it a special ability (I guess it sets up weather and then gives you an extra ability to take advantage of it) -Ledian: Causes Ledian to punch 4 times -Deddene: Merges its speed and attack stat to be the same -Bastiodon: Deals 50% damage taken as recoil and recovers that amount (this might actually be pretty good) -Rampardos: Works like focus sash/sturdy -Typhlosion: Atk scales with SpAtk, and contact moves do additional fire damage -Feraligatr: Grants the ability strong jaw and the first move upon switch in gets priority -Meganium: Meganium and allies take reduced damage and recover every turn -Torterra: Swap resistances and weaknesses (so that's why my ice beam did nothing) -Empoleon: Stat changes are doubled -Infernape: Swap attacks and defenses Edit: I added all the additional crests people posted bellow.
  19. Bladestar until version 12 since they were the ones fighting against team Xen so it was an enemy of my enemy type of thing. Also Flora didn't do anything to me personally and she seemed chill enough even though I knew her secret. It definitely looked like we might be able to cooperate towards our mutual goal but during version 12 she's all: "Fuck you. I should have killed you back in the forest" even though I've been nothing but nice to her and she's also acting completely unhinged and uncooperative. I might still agree with her overall goals but she seems to have completely lost her mind and I'm not talking about blowing up whatever building that gathering was in. Also, where even was she for her to get arrested that easily 2 seconds after Ren broadcasts the announcement? I mean FFS she should have seen them coming via cameras and went to some escape route. Maybe if she gave me the chance to cooperate with them we could have done something against team Xen together and she can have GDC too for all I care. It's already being run by a Xen puppet and they're probably injecting people with poison so she'd probably be an improvement. But since she wants to act like I'm worthless and like she's so much stronger than me even though Nim with trick room was more of a challenge than Bladestar's entire fucking team, I'll just go rogue and defeat team Xen on my own. As for team Xen, maybe they should try actually talking to us and see if there's some possible compromise since if they're just gonna attack us indiscriminately, the only option we have is to fight back. Also if they're not gonna tell us what their goals are, all we can do is assume the worst. So yea rogue. But if a Xen member wants to team up temporarily for some common goal, I'm all for it.
  20. It's possible you reset your game at some point while messing around with the labyrinth and ended up at a point before you talked to her initially. Or it could have been some bug where the game resets it because you cleared the labyrinth for the first time after talking to her. In general if a quest is not progressing it's a good idea to revisit the relevant areas and see if anything weird is happening. Glad it worked out for you.
