  1. Really? All of these people are getting way into this battling nonsense. Typical trainer obsessions just like everything else. Henry ended up leaving when he saw his Delcatty finished her laps around the stadium. She curled up by Henry's feet and went to sleep. Henry then beamed her back into her own Poke Ball. He overheard Evan's conversation, but wasn't too interested until he mentioned a bit of money problems. He decided against questioning it and was about to make his way outside when he heard a familiar voice. That voice. I'm surprised he decided to even show up. He decided to keep his distance a bit and wait to see what happened. And he was certainly glad he did. He watched Kenny run over and expose Mareek. Seems like I'm not the only one who knows a bit more than they should. Now to get rid of the pest. "You're wasting your time with that one," spoke Henry interrupting Mareek's conversation. "I'm pretty sure not a single rational thought ever goes through that brain of his. Play a simple defensive strategy and he's toast. I guess that info would be useful to you. Then again, looking too deeply into something can be quite dangerous too."
  2. You guys are pretty much on your own for the time being as Drake's going to be in the gym and the other two haven't been very active. Edit: I can only imagine what people were thinking seeing a whole bunch of Acolytes following some random guy.
  3. Pokemon Prism is the only Gen II game I can think of with Demakes, but it's slowly still in development (Pokemon Brown is Gen I, but fully completed).
  4. Before you say anything, yes, I know Henry is supposed to be in Tyron's Waiting Room, but I figured he'd probably move around and hide away in the Phoebe's waiting room for the time being. If that's not allowed I'll just edit my post.
  5. "Well that was a very anti-climatic battle," spoke Henry after making his way into the other waiting room. If Danielle wasn't going to be his next opponent, he probably would've stopped watching. Danielle's Pokemon both had an advantage over her opponents so it was obvious she was going to win. That Mawile though. Most of my Pokemon could take it on, but that Iron Head is going to hurt one way or another.
  6. Club Nintendo is being discontinued. This is a sad, sad day.

  7. Henry had walked off the field a bit disappointed. Even though he won, his cockiness could've ended up being fatal. He could tell something was going on with Kristen so he thought he could easily force her to surrender quickly, saving most of his tricks he'd been working on for the tougher trainers. There was also all that booing against him. Actually, he got a bit of a kick out of it. Once he got back to the waiting room, Gypsy and Rosie glared at their trainer waiting for something. "Alright, a deal's a deal." Henry pulled out a Sitrus berry for Gypsy to eat while Rosie began running all around the area in excitement. While she was busy, Henry dug around in his backpack he placed in the corner for a stone. Once he found the grayish looking rock, he tossed it into the air. Rosie heard the faint throwing sound and jumped and touched the Moon Stone in mid-air. The Skitty then began to glow and grow a bit. Once the light dissappeared, Roise now was a bit bigger with purple surrounding her head. The Delcatty jumped around in excitement before accidently falling over. "Why don't you walk around a bit to get used to your new body? We've got plenty of time before the next round. Henry's attention then turned towards Danielle's battle. She did something very, very odd. Then he remembered about her first battle seeing how the Larvesta was acting. I'm having a hard time understanding Danielle's actions. Then again, my Pokemon aren't afraid of battling anything really. Even Paradox gets excited when I decide to do a training session with her.
  8. I just got called in to work so bunny Henry out of there if you need to. If anyone doesn't feel like controlling their opponent, I probably could take control of them since I'm pretty free this week. They're suppose to lose so I probably wouldn't give them very good movesets though.
  9. I'm not too worried about the full effects of the move and what not. As long as its attack gets lowered a bit and something that represents damage happens (since it's a dark type, disarming voice probably would screw up its focus or something). Right now, I'm just trying to get rid of that Skrelp. Water Pulse is just slightly greater of the two evils.
  10. I didn't have the Vullaby hit with the attack yet because I don't know how under control Kristen is with her Vullaby. Since Disarming Voice does "emotional damage" I figured the effect would vary from Pokemon to Pokemon. I'll use Gypsy as an example. Seeing how Gypsy is emotionless and really doesn't give a crap about anyone, it'd basically do practically nothing. Burrows, however, is a bit overdramatic and he'd probably halt his attack after hearing it. As for Charm, I'm just going to say there's a bit of magic to Rosie's (well if you look at her movepool, you practically could consider her a magician). Basically, think of it like your Pokemon is now thinking they're up against a cute, innocent little puppy Skitty that they have to hit. Unless they don't have a soul, they might start holding back to make sure they don't severely harm it. (Infatuation would be the next level up, but Cute Charm and Attract would only affect Male Pokemon). Just wanted to point that out in case anyone wasn't sure when it came to battling. Most of it's current moves aren't going to be used in future chapters so it's not really that big of a deal.
  11. "You know, it's kind of a pain when your opponent doesn't even acknowledge you," Henry spoke. He watched Skitty step back while Gypsy took the Toxic for her. Being a poison type, she completely absorbed it. Henry cracked his neck while he watched the Vullaby draw in close. "Heart Breaker," he ordered. The Skitty stepped in front of Gypsy ready to take on the Vullaby's hit. In that position she began to sparkle with hearts surrounding her along with singing again, but it was a bit of a different pitch compared to her Sing move (Charm+Disarming Voice). Gypsy on the other hand didn't need instructing. She focused her attention back on the Skrelp and released another Psybeam. As long as Rosie kept the Vullaby busy, she could easily take this Skrelp down in a couple of hits.
  12. Just a heads up for the gym group. Drake's going to be available to fight in the Gym Battle once he gets there (even though you probably won't need him), but it's still going to be a little while.
  13. Seeing that the fog was still up, Gypsy used this as an opportune time to get closer instead of going on the offensive. Battles always switch around which is why Henry taught her to not always follow his orders. She slowly charged into the smoked filled area and released another set of yellow powder (stun spore) into the air, but it wasn't so easily seen this time around. Meanwhile, the Skitty shot straight up into the air nearby where the Skrelp was at. Meanwhile, Kristen couldn't see it, but there was a big grin on Henry's face. He knew after this, Kristen was going to absolutely lose it. "You may as well do yourself a favor and just forfeit now. The blow of surrendering is much softer compared to what is to come. I'm growing bored of toying with you so I'm actually going to start fighting now."
  14. Uh Chim, you could've told me disable only works on one move at a time instead of one move per Pokemon like in the games. Would've probably used it on Skrelp's Water Pulse instead. Edit: Henry really has been toying with her. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't go full out on someone who is breaking down like that (mostly because he loves screwing with people). Also, Henry taunts are fun to write.
  15. I just wanted to pop this up because some of you might not have been around long enough to realize this. Back before Fairy Type even existed, there wasn't a gym in Coral Ward. I forget which episode added it in, but it was around 8-10. There's also a Misty terrain field effect that appears in Coral Ward. The real question you should be asking is where the heck are we going to fight Amaria at? The only idea I have is Fiore Maison. Edit: I theorize we're fighting Adrienn next. Mostly because I really can't think of anyone else we could face soon.
  16. The current trend in my OR game is Potion Festivals. What?

I miss the days when it could be anything.

I started a cult in normal Ruby version. All hail Brother Wurmple.

  17. One move I'd suggest for your Roserade is Petal Dance, but I don't think you can learn it once it evolves. Honestly, that's about the only move I really use on him, but it pretty much one shots his opponent. For Infernape, I'd probably just focus on physical attacks and replace flamethrower for some other move (I can't think of what moves are available off the top of my head). For Mamoswine, at least replace Peck with Ice Fang. While that move isn't the best, it'll at least pack a bit more punch than Ice Shard. Thrash is probably alright for right now though. Empoleon I'd say it might be a good idea to consider Iron Defense based on how my Blastoise performs. That move along saved me on many, many leader battles, but it doesn't seem too bad besides that. For Dusknoir, I'd say replace Future Sight. Honestly, Curse is way more effective than Future Sight. Meowstick is fine, but if he starts to fail you, there are a boatload of Psychic types that can easily replace him.
  18. Sweet jesus I got pass Roxane without any deaths. Thank heavens that Nosepass didn't get any crits. That brings back bad, bad memories of Ruby.

  19. Forgive my language, but as long as you're not a straight up ass, stuff like that is pretty easily forgiven.
  20. "And checkmate," Henry spoke. He watched Gypsy was hurt a bit by the incoming water attack, but she still didn't budge from her spot. Instead, her eyes began to glow and placed an blue aura around the Skrelp (Disable). On the other side, Rosie kept jumping around easily dodging the Skrelp's incoming barrage. "You might want to read up on Venonat, deary. Gypsy here can still see you no matter how hard you try to hide. Alright Rosie, Assist." Suddenly, a bright light came from Henry's belt and hovered over to Rosie. The light eventually took shape as a translucent Drilbur. Rosie then jumped in the air and began spinning before she eventually dived underground. Once she was underground, Gypsy focused another Psybeam right at the Skrelp again."
  21. When it comes to teams, I actually think Kristen has the better team of the two, but it's Henry's skills that give him the advantage over her. Even at this point, some of Henry's Pokemon have checks to counter their weaknesses such as Gypsy's Disable, but Kristen's hit very hard with her Skrelp's Adaptability and her Azumarill's Huge Power (unless it's still a Marill). My impression of Kristen is that she likes to go all offense. Just looking at the past battles, it looks as if Henry is much stronger on the defensive side of things. This also is a double battle, Henry's strongpoint, which most of Kristen's Pokemon don't seem designed for. In the current situation, there really isn't much Kristen could do. Gypsy could easily shut down her Skrelp's Water Pulse which would allow Gypsy to easily overpower it. As for the Vullaby, Rose could shut down just about everything else it could do except if it had Nasty Plot with Snarl, but I don't see her Pokemon knowing that combination of moves. Inevitably, I think Henry would win this battle one way or another. If this were a singles, that's a whole different story. I could see Henry having a whole lot of trouble trying to fend off her Pokemon attacks. All of her Pokemon pretty much shut down Burrows and Rosie easily leaving Gypsy as the main fighter. It'd be a lot closer of a match compared to the doubles, but I'd say Kristen would win because Henry's Pokemon don't have too great of an endurance.
  22. @Azery: I just wanted to give you a heads up that Henry disabled her Vullaby's Gust, not Skrelp's Acid (I even checked to make sure I was clear on that). Just out of curiosity, if this was a real fight between Kristen and Henry and Kristen wasn't nervous, who do you think would win? I'm just a bit curious and it doesn't bother me if you say Kristen.
  23. I don't blame you. For my 100% Pokedex Run (I'm at Unova now), I pretty much have the whole path memorized. I evolved most of my friendship evolutions by turning on cheat engine and running up and down on the railroad tracks. It takes a while, but it's probably the best way to evolve 5 or 6 friendship evolutions at a time. As for a single one, Blue Moon Ice Cream is what you're looking for.
  24. For those of you who are wondering (which probably isn't anybody), I'm actually working out the Fire Emblem RP as we speak. It's going to take time so I might set up something like a Reroll or I can post my log of the OR nuzlocke I'm doing including my strong hatred of Wally.

  25. Henry was a bit surprised Kristen figured out how to block both moves in one attack, but that quickly followed in disappointment with her next move. He watched as both Pokemon shrugged off the attack. Gypsy wasn't even sure if something even hit her honestly. The two looked at their opponent a bit confused by the choice of moves. "That booing is starting to get old, but it is what it is I guess. Gypsy, disable Gust and use Psybeam on the Skrelp," ordered Henry. He watched the Venonat create a blue aura around the Vullaby before launching a rainbow beam at the Skrelp. "Rosie, use Sing again." The Skitty then followed orders and sat their singing another one of its favorite tunes. Truthfully, Henry figured out Kristen was nervous, but even nervous trainers can be some of the most dangerous trainers. He decided to play it safe one more turn to see what Kristen could do. He had a pretty good idea on the Skrelp, but the Vullaby was a bit new to him.
