It's possible, but not in the way you'd expect (more like something similar to Mewtwo). That was more likely a reference more than anything (if anyone could give the reference, thank you).

...So if we wanted to take out a single floor of trainers, each of us would have to take on about 40 trainers per floor. I guess we could try that or ask nicely, but maybe we could try this:

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Henry "I'd rather not be considered a trainer," Henry admitted. "Going down that path was doing me more harm than good. I have mixed feelings about this Coordinator career, but I think both me and my Pokemon are a bit happier now compared to what it'd be like if I was a trainer." The boy then noticed Raiza with a look he was all too familiar with. "Are you still thinking about the loss you had back on the trip? I know I wasn't there on the trip, but I talked to your opponent, James, after the trip. If it makes you feel better, I lost way more than I won. It's so easy to let it get to you." Henry then tried to get a good view of Raiza's team. The two new recruits seemed a bit more viscous compared to the Snealsel and Litwick, at least the Skiroupi did. Henry gave a simple smile seeing as Raiza probably improved whether or not she even realized it. ----------------------------------------------------------- Citrine "Thank you, Claude," responded Citrine while giving the money she promised to Claude, but with a bit extra. She was quite surprised by how well the design came out. "You may want to consider a career change as a make-up artist. All the boys...I mean ladies would be wanting you to be their man." ------------------------------------------------------------ Henry's Dad (Joseph) "You can keep the change, deary," responded Joseph. He looked at the carving seeing how surprising well done. His son would probably be dissapointed seeing him collect trinkets again. In his younger days, he used to buy something whenever he visited another region, but it was always something that never made sense like the flute he bought in Johto. "Sorry we took so long. Did these two do their parts and help like they were supposed to? "Those two are doing quite a fine job, though I've never seen a Scyther carve out of wood before. It must be quite a feat, Mr. Sisto." The man stood still pondering where that name came from. He never met this boy in his life, but why did he look so familiar. Then it finally came back to him. When researching on connections between Cipher and the Rockets, he remembered an articles mentioning people killed by Rockets. He read over whatever info he could find on these people, but nothing really came up from it.- 1255 replies

[OOC] Brailens Gifted
Commander replied to Felicity's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
I once had an idea I originally scrapped because it was way too underdeveloped at a time I wasn't very motivated. Two years later, I pick it back up and started fixing everything wrong with the plot which took a lot more work than I expected it to be, but I definitely don't regret it at all. Instead of choosing one or the other, I'd just sit down a week and see what the main problem you're having is. Once you get that out of the way, it'll be pretty clear what to do. The only caution about doing option 1 is motivation. You can only work so long on something before you start losing interest in it. Readers definitely help encourage you to move forward so you may want to do a short story to help develop your world a bit more. -
I'm enjoying these theories a bit, but I think I'm going to throw in my own. A love how everyone was throwing up that the ringleader is some evil person, but doesn't he look a bit familiar to you. That hat kind of looks like the one that belongs to a certain master of disguise. Something is definitely going on in Agate Circus, but I don't think Terra is the only one behind it all. Part of me thinks she's being pulled by some strings especially when she just runs away after you beat her in a gym battle.

{Conclave Group} Drake remained silent for a moment before responding to the suggestion. "I like you're idea better than mine. Everyone, gather up your things as we're heading out. Those who don't wish to battle any Acolytes, stay very close behind me. If any of your Pokemon are capable of putting humans to sleep, speak out now, or forever hold your peace." The man pulled out his Poke ball and released the bat into the air once again. Even at such a close distance, you couldn't hear a sound from the anxious bat. Drake halted him for one moment. "Before we move, would any else like to pitch in an idea?"

It's not your fault, but how even the number came out before you responded. Since it's only been a couple days and it's the holidays, I really don't think it's fair to cut you out of the RP. If we added you in the bracket, either a) someone is going to have to lose in the 32 round or B, someone is going to automatically be able to decide if they want to move into the top eight or not (someone would have to face two NPCs). The only side character outside of NPCs around who is close to your level is Citrine. I wasn't planning on it, but I guess we could use her to battle your PC (and maybe a NPC or another Player controlled NPC to fight him as well). I'll see if Chim or I can storm up a couple of ideas to give you a few battles or work you into the tournament.
-
Odd...the real issue isn't that it's too late to jump in the chapter, but the fact that the brackets have already been decided. The only way I can see this work is if your PC battles one or two PCs who lose early in the bracket so that you aren't left out. Maybe Chim can figure something out.

{Conclave Group} "Idiots," Drake muttered under his breath. "Since our so called 'leader' ran in their without a plan, I guess I'll make due with the situation. Even if we tried running in and reaching them, I doubt there'd be much we could help them with. We will wait ten minutes before the rest of us head in and help pick off whatever remains in the Conclave. This way a majority of us can face the mother at full power. Those Acolytes are not our target and some may even be on our side. The less we battle, the better." Drake then folded his arms waiting to see how his companions would act. Those two might be able to defeat all the Acolytes, but he doubted they'd stand a chance against the mother after all those battles.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Citrine "Err...sorry about that. Henry is kind of weird when it comes to battles. He wants to help you by not helping you at all. That didn't make any sense when I first met him too, but once you get over his bitterness, he's not so bad. Hell, he even taught me about being a good trainer even when I wasn't in a trainer program which is probably half the reason I'm not failing out of it. I pretty much know next to nothing about Pokemon...or did. I don't really know what I don't know anymore." Citrine stood there idly trying to think about schooling before the small Vulpix cried out causing her to snap back to reality. "Eiy! I did it again. Thanks, Zuko." She then looked straight at Claude. "As you can tell, Zuko kind of was and is my Pokemon. I kind of gave him to Henry so that he'd have...a friend here. Never mind about that..." Citrine really didn't like recalling that day especially after how Henry reacted. "You're probably wondering about the Skitty because it really doesn't suit him. I don't know too much, but I heard from his dad that he's been taking care of since he was really young. Back in Orre, that thing was an adorable little monster. The look on the face of those big tough guys losing to her was priceless." Zuko shivered for a moment after Citrine mentioned those thugs in Orre. The sight of those giant behemonth trying to slam him into the depths of the earths was enough to scar any Pokemon for life. Thankfully, Citrine actually shut her mouth up for once and sat there ready for her face mask. At least the girl hadn't mentioned anything --------------------------------------------------------------- Henry's Dad The man with the Sudowoodo beside him gave a little chuckle. "Sorry miss, but I don't have any BP on me. Would 20 Poke suffice?" The man held out a bit of money and placed it on the counter. "If that's not enough, I could always fetch my son. I heard he has a nice stash of BP he's apparently saving in case a berry shortage ever happens. That Venonat of his must have a stomach of a Snorlax or something." --------------------------------------------------------------- Henry The boy went into the haunted house and was a bit disappointed so far. Something did intrigue him though. He saw a little fire show created by the Litwick before catching eyes on Raiza. "I'm surprised you're in the trainer program. You'd probably be a better Coordinator than I ever could." Henry slowly moved closer to Raiza before looking back at the Litwick's show.- 1255 replies

...I actually considered it but no. My team design is mostly focused on double battles more than anything. Most of the Pokemon I choose are more personal than an actual theme as I usually tend to avoid very popular Pokemon like Greninja and Talonflame and use not as well liked choices such as Venomoth and Delcatty. Here's my team coverage right now: http://www.teammagma.net/teambuilder/?49|301|530 Here's what it's going to become at the end of the year: http://www.teammagma.net/teambuilder/?49|301|530|176|310|593 (No, I did not use teambuilder to plan this all out actually).

I figured it wouldn't be too hard to get a gamecube adapter for the Wii U. Holy Shit! You can only get them on Amazon right now for about $80 bucks. I'm not that desperate.

seriously, all of that stuff is super pricey, no matter what it is for. Why it sucks XD. They know people want it so they jack the price up a bunch.
-
oh and Krim, Amiibos are an entirely different story. THose are being made to be limited, so the prices are getting super bloody high. In fact, look at any of the error ones that are selling for like crazy amounts of cash. ((I think and errored Villager sold for like 200k about.)), but yea Amiibos are more or less supposed to be rare.
-
when I go to my local electronics-store there are GCC-Adapters on the shelfs for just 20€... and every amiibo for 15€...
The GC Controller itself is 30€...

You'll definitely want to consider keeping Arbok around. In my first playthrough, I used an Arbok and so far she's been useful even up to Noel (not sure how she'll do against Radomus though).

(Looks at Ame's comment) I never knew anyone could write criticism longer than me. I guess I stand in the middle on this one. It's not bad, but I just couldn't get into it kind of like Ame. Thank you for posting that comment because I had a feeling it was something like Flash Fiction the moment I read it. Probably my biggest gripe would be that it isn't fleshed out enough and just kind of halted. I'm not going to go super detail like Amethyst did, but there really wasn't much of a conflict, or at least one that felt resolved. Guess I'm one of those people who don't like stories that leave you on a cliff hanger.

@Bfroger: I feel sorry for Shiro honestly. This is probably the first time I'm not holding Henry back unlike previous fights which is why I asked about TM moves. Henry was designed to be a character that most PCs would hate so it's not too surprising people are booing and wishing him to lose. We are going to get to know a little more about him and a bit more into Paradox and Henry's bond. P.S. These Lego sets are very distracting so I might not respond immediately.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Henry Something about even seemed a little off. He knew the boy evolved his Pokemon before arriving back from the trip since he heard a couple rumors about it. Something deep inside him told Henry that this boy may be one of them, but he couldn't be so sure. For now, he would pretend to know nothing on the subject. "Five battle points. That's almost like giving it away for free." Henry pulled out his Pokedex and paid the amount before entering. ---------------------------------------------------- Citrine "Who's Wallace? Nevermind, let's just see what you got. Also, could you humor me as to why everyone seems to spite Henry around here. I'm getting the death stare just by standing next to him. I mean he can be a...uh...dick sometimes, but I doubt he's that bad." Citrine never really knew about Henry's life at the academy because neither he nor his father discussed it ever. It was all a mystery to her. ---------------------------------------------------- Henry's Dad The man with the Sudowoodo beside him eventually made it up to the stall. He now saw that the shy girl had taken ownership for the time being and instead went up to her as the boy left. "Excuse me madame. You don't happen to have any Suicune figures made out of wood. I once encountered a trainer who used that legendary Pokemon before joining the force. I always wished to see the Pokemon again, but this is probably as close to it as I'll ever get." He pulled out his wallet ready to pay at any given moment.- 1255 replies

I thought he was left out. Must've missed it when skimming all those posts since I don't have the energy to fully read them. Just pretend thunder wave didn't happen and the electrike was angry but left the situation alone while running away. I'll change it tomorrow as I'm too tired tonight.
-
Nah, that's going to be the NPC. I'm probably going to do something close to a 3-0 with Skitty in that battle so you guys can get a feel for it before any battles come up. It's going to be more like the trainer picked the wrong Pokemon for that battle than powerplaying. By the way, Henry's dad's Pokemon are actually based on a Nuzlocke I did a while back. Steve the Sudowoodo was my ace of that run. Edit: My posting should start being a bit more frequent and less sloppy after this because I won't be running on four hours of sleep each night.
-
I kind of had Drake suggest that so more active RPers don't go turbo mode and basically claim a majority of the battle and so that the not as active posters don't have to worry so much about posting since half would be against the mother and half would be taking care of the rest of the Acolytes. I'm fine with making this a total group, but some people like myself aren't going to be posting every day.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Citrine "That's what I've been doing for the past six months. Oh well! I guess I'll just have to let it be. I just hope this tournament is a lot cleaner than the ones in Orre." Citrine returned to her regular optimitic self. Zuko simply rolled his eyes. That was one thing he didn't like about the girl. The world could be ending and she'd still be optimistic about it. Sometimes he even questioned her carefree personality. "I'll chance a face mask though since my guinea pig disappeared. He's probably run off to train as that seems to be some type of stress relief for him." Citrine pulled out a wad of cash she secretly stole from Henry. "I'll pay you extra if it looks prettier than your face, handsome." The girl figured the boy was gay, but it was kind of fun giving him a hard time. ----------------------------------------------------------- Henry The boy left the fair a little ways away to a certain area away from the academy. Some people coined the area as "Henry's Spot" as he seemed to always go there whenever class was over. Most of the time, he was ordering his Pokemon around to practice some attacks. Once in a great while, he would stick around without any Pokemon out. No one could tell what he was going to do on these days. It always ended with him creating a new strategy to use against his opponents. With just about everyone else's Pokemon evolving but his, he had to come up with these tricks otherwise he would've fallen behind. Today, Henry released all four of his Pokemon looking at them, but he didn't seem angry. "I'm sorry for what happened back there. I didn't mean to take it out on you guys. It's just that this tournament is an opportunity to redeem myself yet it's like everyone is against me." Henry then began to smile. "None of that matters though. I'm not holding back no matter what." He then turned to the Skitty who was bouncing up and down out of excitement. "Oh yes Rosie. There's one last little trick I want to try out before tomorrow. It's only going to take a few minutes." Some time passed before Henry headed back into the fair. He decided he may as well see what others have done when he noticed Evan running the haunted house. He had nothing better to do so he may as well try something out with the still plentiful battle points he collected over time. ---------------------------------------------------- Elecktrike The wild Pokemon noticed a Zorua trying to mock him by transforming into the trainer who tried scaring him off. Truth be told, he wasn't afraid of Henry, but he knew he should get out of there before anything bad happened. This Pokemon pissed him off trying to exploit him. He only came here to have a little fun, not to be yelled at and made fun of. The electric type stuck its tongue out at the Zorua's trainer before quickly dashing off from the scene (Quick Attack). He didn't really care for the guy so he just left it at that. --------------------------------------------------- Henry's Dad The man with a Sudowoodo began looking around at the stalls again, but nothing seemed to interest him that much. That wasn't until he noticed a wood carving stall. The legendary wood carvings brought back a memory of a legendary he once saw. He went up to the stall and noticed the owner was in a conversation with someone who he assumed was his mother. He simply waited in the background for their conversation to finish.- 1255 replies

{Conclave Group} "Next time, cut the long winded speeches. The mother pretty much could've killed you if she wanted to." Drake did not care for this apparent leader. His experience against these scum far exceeded what this guy thought of. He probably could have had a full team by now, but he always stuck to one. Doing so would've caused him to be an open target and pretty much. "We should have one person take on each floor. Once that person finishes, he can help assist the one on the next floor and so on. This will give us the best chance of escaping should things turn sour on us. Being the most experienced, I'll try finishing the first floor as quickly as possible that way no one is ganged up on for that long." Drake honestly didn't care if they went with his plan or not. He just didn't want to be facing the mother by himself. ((Remember to put up your tags everyone. It makes it much easier to keep up))
