I haven't even created a sign-ups sheet and can already tell I'll need a co-host. Who know there were so many FE fans?

I think I could help you out... may need a bit of figureing out FE but I am pretty sure I will pick up fast. ((it actally reminds me of an old game I palyed like super long ago Called Legend of Forsona...it isn't quite the same, but I get the idea and the gist of it. Lore-wise I can catch up quickly lol.))

Mrrp. I'm experienced in both hosting roleplays and Fire Emblem if you still need assistance. Though IDK if I have the time to actually RP

Fire Emblem Deminian Knights [Interest Check]
Commander replied to Commander's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
No, no, it's set in it's own world. I don't mess with canon worlds very often. FE: Awakening had too many difficult mechanics to work around and a very imbalanced class system which is why I used Radiant Dawn's gameplay mechanics to try and build a system off of. Edit: Since there is well then more than enough interest, I'll start a Sing-ups sheet in a week. I'll be editing and clearing up any leftover confusion later on tonight though.- 31 replies

Fire Emblem Deminian Knights [Interest Check]
Commander replied to Commander's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Before I respond to any of your questions, my mouth dropped when I opened this up. All of these responses make me both super excited and super terrified at the same time. I was only expecting one or two responses by now. Class promotions are kind of hard to explain. You can get some of them early based on your performance on critical moments. There are certain points when they become more available to everyone. No, the lord isn't an available class for PC (he's kind of like my PC). Mercenary plays a similar role in terms of stats so it's not like you're missing out. Tactician is another story, but one only as well. I added that class in for a Co-host in case I needed one (which I likely will). I decided to make the lord not as important as in other games, but he does play a role in the plot. As for Laguz, not in the first arc, but it's something I've considered implementing many times. Yes, classes are gender restricted, but I likely won't be implementng those DLC classes (there's like 40 options already. How many more do you need?) Also, Radiant Dawn is actually what I used for a base. Each chapter contains a certain mission that could be something like defeat boss, escape, or defend. As for ranking up, it's a mix of performance in critical moments as well as just plain surviving. The risk of death is a lot greater here which is why I don't have too many conditions. Hmm...the only issue with that class is that I'd have to make a third tier class of my own for it. I'll figure something out for it. Dark Magic is very rare and only a handful of people even know how to wield it.- 31 replies

After losing all of that work twice, I finally was able to post something that resembles an interest check. I'll check it over again tomorrow and tweak it a bit. Need Sleep.

Hi there folks, the name's Commander. You may see me float around on the site, but I tend to stick around in the roleplay. Right here I have a roleplay and kind of want to see everyone's thoughts on it. For those of you new to the series or don't really now much about it, here's a good video I found that details all of the added content in Fire Emblem over the years. Hopefully that'll give some of the newer fans insight on Fire Emblem mechanics. Story Deep in the Kingdom of Annea, a massive war has broken out against the Onshia Empire. The Mad King gave his men orders to slaughter every last Annean or face his wrath. The war had been going on for almost a month and things were looking grim for Anneans. The Senate formed a pact decreeing for the armies to immediately train new recruits for battle. While there was dispute among the army, some of the high ranking members stepped down from the front lines and scattered about. One such man was General Virgil who ventured down south to the town of Deminbriar. That is where out story begins… *** Now that I have all that out of the way, I can get to the fun part. While I am keeping a vast amount of fire emblem elements in, I tinkered around with it a bit trying to make this work better for a roleplay. I'll mostly just cover the significant changes. Battles Instead of going with calcs and an RNG, I decided to go on a different road. Battles are divided up into two group which I call Free-for-all and Critical Moments. Free-for-all is basically when I let you control the fight however you feel like it, but I prefer if you mix it up a bit. Critical Moments are a bit more serious. Unlike the former, I control the enemy units in quick battle. It's best to proceed through these with caution because one small slip could be fatal. Bosses In the games, bosses were units who were just merely stronger units. Things are a bit different here. Unlike a majority of those bosses, these guys are tough, unfair, and sometimes downright brutal. Each boss has at least one special trick or trait that no other enemy has. This could be just about anything, some including armor that cannot be pierced. The only way to take down these foes is through both wit and teamwork. Classes The following list is just a rough draft of the base classes that'd be used for Sign-Ups. This is not all of the classes Calvary As you may have noted, all the above units are foot soldiers. I did the intentionally as almost every class has a secondary class they can choose between after a certain point. One example would be a Soldier can become a Lance Knight. Each path has pros and cons to it, but neither one is better than the other. Sorry if it's mostly just game mechanics, but I've been focusing more on that compared to the overall story (which isn't going to be anything outside of typical Fire Emblem). Feedback is greatly appreciated. Upgrading your Weapon Throughout the roleplay, shops will be accessible to buy better equipment. This can be anything from a better sword, a far ranged weapon such as a javelin, and even being able to buy healing items such a Vulnerably. You have a limited amount of gold given to you buy the "lord" so choose carefully. (I'll give you a brief of what you can buy whenever we reach one). There is also another nice feature they have. Should your weapon carry cracks or rust, they can fix or replace it for a small price. Promoting Your Unit If you played the games, you may know what a Master Seal is already. Master Seal is a special item that let's you promote your unit up to a more powerful one. Master Seals exist in the roleplay, but they aren't called that. Each class has a special seal that let's them promote to the next class. To find one, you must show a mastery in ones own category by impressing a certain person. I'll go into more detail when one of these pops up in the Roleplay.

"Kill is a strong word, my friend," Drake responded as they continued. "It often brings more harm than good in the end. We only kill when our lives are at stake. To answer your question, we're going to avoid conflict at all. Anyone outside of the mother is a waste of energy." Drake then turned back to the gym for a second. "I feel a bit sorry for those girls. They are completely ignorant of the cruel fate that awaits them."

If anyone is in danger, it's probably Jory. He has to choose between getting beaten to the brink of death by the mother or listen to an endless lecture from Drake. Pretty sure the mother is the lesser of two evils there.

While your theory is interesting, I can't really say Julia is part of Meteor considering Connel fills the Electric Type gym leader role already. There could be more to the Power Plant though, but Julia might not exactly know about it.
-
That's what I thought too, but let's kill that topic before it even starts. As for the teams, I can't really say because it depends on the player, not the Pokémon in this case. As for an overall team, I'd probably say Zeta's is a bit better due to the coverage.
-
No, I don't think you should be ashamed of just knowing about it. Like Stratos said, it's probably more about how you came about knowing it. Now that I think about it, that is a bit ironic (completely unintentional). Truthfully, I doubt he would even think about it considering he's an only child until yesterday and isn't looking for a relationship.
-
{???} "Guess it's just you and me then," Drake responded to Adam before turning to his Pokemon. "Typhoon, keep close just in case we're ambushed. Dragging those girls into the city probably set off some red flags. We'll have to take a bit of a detour to the Conclave. Is that alright?" Drake knew they were in a hurry, but he wasn't willing to put his life in danger just because a couple of kids decided to do something reckless.

Uhh...I hadn't really thought about it too much actually. The story behind it is because Henry switched Zuko for Rosie, there were going to be a lot of people booing against him. Personally, I figured it were a bunch of false rumors flying up in the air, but I really like the whole jealousy theory. @Turbo: Not entirely sure what you mean.

Probably the best advice I could give you is to evolve some of those Pokemon and common candy them back to the cap. Frogadier is going to need to take down that Anorith ASAP. After that, Noctowl, Pikachu, and Donphan pretty much need to blitzkreig her Pokemon. If that doesn't work, leave the least threatening Pokemon on the field and slowly knock out the Pokemon on the other half one by one.

Actually, I figured he'd pretend he didn't see anything and just move along. I just love having Henry cave in to Paradox even if it takes a toll on his pride. I think Kristen is about the only person who'd actually make fun of Henry.

That awkward moment when Mareek is about to walk into Henry cuddling little Paradox. I swear I was writing that post before Stratos posted his. Edit: Citrine really isn't into Henry. She just loves to harass him.

While everyone was focused on Claude, Henry used it as a time to head back to his waiting room. He had little interest in watching Kenny pull off any of his tricks. If he really needed to learn about Kenny, he could just look him up and that godforsaken site anyways. Once he got a bit closer, he started to hear a very familiar sound. It sounded like someone was crying nearby. "Henry! Thank Arceus you're here. How do you turn this thing off?" Citrine quickly ran up to him holding a crying Togepi. Since he wasn't going use her, Henry thought it would be a good idea to let Paradox watch from the stands. "Maybe if you weren't so loud and obnoxious, she wouldn't be crying. What'd you do, drop her?" Henry knew these two better then anyone else. Paradox seemed alright when he handed her to Citrine, so he figured the girl had something to do with this. "No, I mean yes, I mean it only happened one time. That didn't seem to bother her though. She only started crying after your battle was over. Please...just do something. She's giving me a goddamn headache." Citrine then lifted the little Togepi up to her face. "Why don't you just shut up?" Citrine's yelling just made the Togepi cry even harder. "Sigh...just hand her over to me." Citrine didn't even take a second to get rid of the creature. Once she was secure in Henry's arms, he began to rock the Togepi back and forth while whistling. Shortly afterwards, the Togepi stopped crying and fell asleep. "That's so adorable," Citrine responded. She watched as Henry began to blush. "Oh come on, it's not that embarrassing. If anything, girls would probably flock over you after seeing that. Too bad you're always so grouchy." "I'm not interested in that stuff," Henry responded still blushing. "Besides, everybody pretty much hates me anyways." "Really? Surely you have to be interested in someone. I mean this place is flooded with pretty girls. If not, you still always have me." Citrine grinned while saying those words. She always loved trying to get stuff out of Henry. "I already told you I'm not interested in any of that. Also, isn't that illegal?" "Nope!" responded Citrine still keeping her large grin. "I really don't want to know why you know that." Henry's face finally returned to normal as he focused on rocking Paradox back in forth in his arms. This was the last place he wanted Paradox to have one of her episodes.- 1255 replies

I'm pretty sure it's a Shellos for the fourth. Queen also has to be a Nidorina otherwise Chim's breaking his own rules (Level 26 is the soonest it could evolve).

If it'd be anywhere, my guess is Rustboro City. It kind of suits the place if you ask me.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]

Henry sighed seeing Robert's determination. The boy did always dive down too deeply into things. "Fine, whatever." He handed over his key to Robert. "Just don't go digging in my bottom dresser. Still, I feel that you should just let him be. Shiro's stronger than you think and always finds a way out of his troubles." After he was finished talking, he turned away from Robert leaving himself to his own thoughts while heading back towards his waiting room. It must be nice having someone like that looking out for you.- 1255 replies

So just to review a bit for those coming from the gym to the Conclave, Jory and an injured Carissa are the closest to the mother who seems to be taking her merry old time moving towards them (or perhaps she's just waiting for them to arrive). Alina and Michael, along with a few Acolytes, are standing guard at the entrance just in case the remaining acolytes return from their patrols. Sarcus is currently directing any injured acolytes to the Pokemon Center or hospital (don't remember which exactly) so those of you who want to go heal their Pokemon in the PC can check on the injured ones. Murdoc and Grassnake haven't been that active so I'm not entirely sure what's going on their side. I kind of bunnied Grassnake because I've been forced to be idle because of it. As for Drake, he's heading back ASAP. If the conclave received reinforcements, he's not going to fight very many of them off and sneak right through them. That's my only caution if you're going to follow right behind Drake, but he's going to wait for any of you who want to follow him (any of you who use the healing machine in the gym).

Henry ignored Robert's hand and grabbed his cane in one hand to prop himself back on his feet. "Instead of apologizing, maybe you should just learn to be more careful. Seems like people are running into each other more and more these days." He was about to move away, but noticed the troubled look on Robert's face. "You seemed trouble. Please tell me you aren't worried about Shiro. It feels like these episodes happen once a week honestly." Truthfully, Henry was fully aware that something was up with Shiro, but he tended to keep away from the boy. Whenever something like this came up, he tended to avoid Shiro even more than usual. Besides, he had bigger problems to worry about right now, especially with the tension between him and the crowd. It was rather fortunate no one tried to sabotage him or his team yet. He guessed Ymora had a bit more honor compared to Orre tournaments.- 1255 replies

"Don't worry about the mother. This wouldn't be the only time I've dealt with people like that," responded Drake. He went outside and ordered of the acolytes into the building when he noticed Adam's interest in fighting in the conclave. "There's a center nearby I believe. Heal your Pokemon up and get ready for a long battle. We've wasted too much time and I no doubt the patrols will be back soon." Drake then headed out of the gym with his Crobat silently flying behind him.

I think I just want to mention this now than later. Burrows is able to learn Earthquake at level 36. I'm considering delaying that move and kind of want your opinion on the matter. It's possible that Burrows's moveset might be a little too overwhelming in the 30s and I don't want another TX101 running around.
