Yeah, I personally don't really bother with IV or breeding, but I do try to EV train a bit, but mostly for Def and Sp Def on some pokemon. You have to remember something: even with perfect stats and movesets, the game runs on AIs, not players, so it will always be a bit faulty. I hardly doubt you'd need to perfect your Pokémon.

I believe it's the same as the fishing hole you find earlier until you get a good rod. That's how you get Carvanha should you pick Team Magma.

Fire Emblem Deminian Knights [Sign-Ups/OOC]
Commander replied to Commander's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
(Facepalms) I may or may not have misspelled Deminian in the prologue. I'll fix that later. I forgot to mention once you're done introducing yourself you're free to talk with any of the other PCs and Kelsey (she's just checking off names on a list). Just don't wander off yet.- 169 replies

[Interest Check/Sign Up] In Opposition
Commander replied to PupSpace's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Just be prepared because I'm that one guy who asks a billion questions. I'm having a bit of trouble trying to grasp what the island is like. Part of me sees is as a mini isolated city while another part of me kind of sees conditions like the Survival Show seeing as characters can live on their own island. Can you try to explain the technology level and how much the overall 30 communicate with each other? (I want to get an idea of the world before I decide to sign-up or not). -
Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Why do I even bother talking to these people again? Henry noticed Claude's actions were gaining quite the attention as he slowly started to back away. He probably would've left if his Delcatty wasn't busy looking at Lily. "I hope you don't mind cats. Rosie seems to have taken a bit of interest in you."- 1255 replies

Can we at least keep the gate between Agate and Route 2? That one actually works pretty well compared to the original freeze for 30 seconds to transfer to the next route. Don't really care about the other gates though as I thought Reborn City looked better without them.

Fire Emblem Deminian Knights [Sign-Ups/OOC]
Commander replied to Commander's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
This is kind of my fancy way of introducing the RP. I kind of wanted to give you guys a smidge of an idea of the area you are in. (It was either this or Virgil going on a rant about how much he hates you guys). I can include more details if you want (I just didn't want to go overboard). Just introduce your character and we'll go from there. Also, Zach isn't with you guys right now, but we'll see him soon.- 169 replies

Deminbriar (Sunrise) Deep in the Southern parts of Annea lived a small town called Deminbriar. Not many were awake this early in the sleepy town, but a girl wearing a white robe could be seen rushing through the empty streets. In her hand, she held a folded piece of paper with a red seal encased on the front. She turned one way then another, until she arrived at her destination. In front of her was a small grim looking house with a blueish roof to fit the mood. She knocked on the door a couple of times then stood there waiting for a response. “What the bloody hell do you want?” A half dressed man opened the door wearing only an orange shirt and some worn-out trousers. His hair was in a wild mess and the dark circles in his eyes gave away his mood rather quickly. “I’m s-sorry to bother you at this hour.” The girl used her free hand to curl a strand of her black hair to ease her nerves. “It’s just that this…this soldier wanted me to give you this letter. He said it was important.” She held up the paper in her hand and quickly jumped back when he yanked it from her hand. “What do the damn fools want from me this time?” The man slowly removed the seal and glanced over the contents inside. “How do they expect me to read this? It’s nothing more than complete scribbles.” “Sir, I might be able to read it.” The girl was about to step back again, but the man stopped her and handed the paper back. “Let’s see…seems like they are a new batch of recruits being sent to you.” “Great! Just when I get done with one set of maggots, they send me new ones. How bad is it?” “Seems like most of them just need a quick examination before being sent off. There is one thing you might want to know: they’re already here.” “Those damn politicians are trying to kill me. They can’t even give me one day. It’s already hard enough training these damn babies when I should be fighting alongside my men.” The man took a deep breath eventually calming his nerves. “Why don’t you make yourself useful for once and check attendance while I get ready? Make sure to drag archer boy on your way.” The man then slammed the door before the girl could even respond. A little bit of time passed as the girl made her way outside of town. The fields were hilly and quite spacious. Shepherds were just getting up and tending to their flock, while farmers were busy with fieldwork. The girl eventually made her way to a flat area where a group of people were standing. They were a bit intimidating, but they seemed a bit friendlier compared to the other. “May I have your attention please,” she said ever so softly. “Welcome to the Annean Army. We’re happy you’re lending us a hand in this conflict. Can each of you please say your name so that I can take attendance? It’d also be kind of nice to know a little bit about you too if that’s not a problem.”

My biggest fear is that something like this will require too much communication. The Ymora Coordinator show fiasco pretty much happened because of communication problems. We had a storyboard and even descriptions of each Pokemon's role, but because we were not cooperating well, things went into a confusing mess before the stall.

How about I make this easier on you. I'll try lowering your number to 8 Pokemon and you can swap/add from there. It's really up to you what you do from there as I do have some bias against a handful of these Pokemon. Who to keep: Blaziken, Gardevoir, Metagross, Roserade, Magnezone, Clawitzer/Crawdaunt (one, not both), Mamoswine, Staraptor Pokemon that can be dropped: Golem, Exploud, Amoongus (Still a good 'mon though), Diggersby/Golurk (only really need one ground type), Lucario/Gallade (their roles have practically been filled), Noivern (the thing is gonna be worthless against 4 of the remaining leaders), Rapidash

No it's just daytime. If you still can't get it to evolve, just post your save file and either I or someone else will evolve it for you.

I think they want the slayer of the Trees and Bird Jesus before you can trade the Helix fossil for one. Farfetch'd is in Chrysolia Forest, and Bird Jesus is easier to find than slice bread.

We really don't do that on the Showdown server. Typically many of the users are quite competitive and use competitive teams. You might be able to convince one or two people to recreate their reborn teams, but with good movesets to battle against, but no one is going to spend that much time on the 3DS games. It takes way too long to EV and IV train a team for a group that you'll have a hard time finding in the first place.

The closest I've ever seen something like that succeed was a group novel-based writing project I joined a long time ago. Pretty much I took control of laying out a sound structure for the other people to work off of because most of them kind of wanted to improvise. Everything I designed kept things rather smooth, but once we got outside of my notes, this thing slowly began to spiral down into a mess and two members quit half way through. The sad part was the concept was really, really good.

I can't say I'd be too interested into the Destiny RP as I've never played the games. Saying that, that also means I wouldn't be against the idea as it seems to be a pretty popular game lately (maybe it's declining...never really kept up). Maybe if you fleshed out a bit more detail in the second topic people would've commented a bit more. Things can change over time. As for your second idea, I'm very intrigued by the idea, but there are also alarms telling me this could easily end in disaster. IMO Worldbuilding and especially plot takes a long time to do. If you have people signed up, it probably won't be too long before people lose interests or forget about it, especially with such a low number to start with. I do feel a bit hypocritical saying that because I only spent about a month working on the plot of my own RP, when I typically feel 3-4 months should be a minimum. To make up for this, I'm constantly working on fleshing out the plot more and more, but leaving areas to fill once I get some feedback. I'd really need to see how this is developed before I would even consider joining. Sorry if I sound harsh, I just want to make sure you know what you might be getting yourself into. Edit: I just wanted to say I fully agree with what everything Huk said.

"Let's," Drake responded. He had a strange feeling about her sudden tone, but thought little of it as he headed his way up the stairs to the roof. Every seemed eager to go outside seeing as it'd be in their advantage so this was a simple way of killing two birds with one stone.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Honestly, I don't even know what goes on in there sometimes. As for how I fight, you'll have to thank Citrine for that one. The girl's harassing after a long losing streak made me rethink how I battle. Instead of going full force, I started playing tricks along with that infamous taunting. People weren't too happy with my winning streak, but honestly, they weren't as bad as this." Henry then noticed James come up to the group. He simply pretended not to notice him at first, but eventually responded. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be getting ready for your battle or something? The first round is quickly coming to a close."- 1255 replies

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"No, that was a pathetic excuse of a victory. I took a gamble by holding back nearly all of my tricks. Not much I can do about it now, but I won't be so careless in the next round." Henry tried not to think too hard on his mistakes. He still had another battle to come and he needed to keep his mind clear when he got to that one. "Now that I think about it, it's kind of ironic Kristen of all people would choke. She gave me the impression that she loves big crowds."- 1255 replies

Subtle Henry line is subtle. Henry may be out of the Skarmary killing Ryan loop, but he'll probably connect the pieces sooner or later.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Can't say I really blame him for that one. Some of the students here are lacking what I call intelligence or what you'd probably call common sense. If you mention a Hydreigon to him he'd holler up a storm on what they did. There's a good chance they're doing something right now that they'll immediately regret later." Henry then turned to Claude. "You worry too much there. Your Excalvier has quite the advantage on him so as long as you plan your moves carefully, there's a good chance you could win." He then had a grin of his own. "That also goes for recklessness as well. Attacking blindly is a surefire way to get your ass handed to you."- 1255 replies

Well Gypsy is going to eat 5,000 pounds Henry's stache of berries no matter what he does so he makes use out of it by rewarding her for training or doing certain tasks. It's kind of amusing how Henry is going to resolve Gypsy's gluttony problem in the next chapter.

I only joked about Explosion because it'd mean Raiza would win out of trainer stupidity had the opponents Pokemon been something like Monferno and Koffing. That's actually how I lost a UU battle one time because of a misclick. All I had to do is hit the ghost once to win.

It'll take a while, but you'd be able to get Clauncher in the next episode or Dragalge back in Reborn city. Swampert is about the best water type you're going to be able to get at this point though, but Floatzel isn't too bad himself. Adaptability Crawdaunt is an option if you want something with a bit more power. If you want an instant replacement for Meowstick, Venomoth/Clefable/Mr. Mime for right now and Gardevoir once she's obtainable (can't remember if you can get Magnetic Power yet). Alakazam/Porygon 2 are decent enough if you want to try something else. As for Steelix, I can't recommend him, especially when Excalvier, Magneton, and Aggron are available. Any of those three will really help you out against his Swellow. If you're having trouble on his Wigglytuff and Clefable, get a Draporion. That thing should be able to put a huge dent in one of those two.

...You do realize we don't have to perfectly follow the games, right? Usually if there's an argument, what it states in the games is the final say. I probably could think of one or two ways to counter it. Also, that Henry post I have feels kind of meh. Hopefully I'll get my zeal back with Henry soon.
