CryosBlaze Posted January 31, 2021 Share Posted January 31, 2021 I cant frickin beat keta, his Lucario sweeps me and the game is ignoring my type advantages, I'm blasting him with psychic attacks and it never says super effective. im about to give up. any advice is great. Aariq Posted January 31, 2021 Share Posted January 31, 2021 (edited) Furthermore,The AI knows what move you're gonna use,and all of Keta's Pokemon (Lucario excluded) know protect.Especially Combusken whose speed boost pairs with protect perfectly.Swoobat can't oneshot anything that's not Mienfoo and can be easily KO'd with T-punch or Rock slide.Armed with the information of what move you will use,He'll only use protect at the most inconvenient moments. Lucario takes neutral damage from Psychic type attacks, so that's not the best option against it. Try to hit the Fire/Fighting types like Combusken and Pignite with Psychic type attacks. Xatu is decent in this battle, but Air Slash won't help you a lot; it turns into a Grass/Flying hybrid attack because of the forest field and most of Keta's Pokémon resist Grass. Try to use Fighting type attacks against Lucario. Good Fighting types you can get at that point in the game are Meditite with Huge Power or Makuhita. Makuhita evolves at lv 24 and has two good abilities in Thick Fat(to resist the Fire type attacks from Keta's Pokémon) and Sheer Force(to further boost its damage output). 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lucifer Morningstar Posted February 1, 2021 Share Posted February 1, 2021 I didn't find Keta hard. I wrecked him with Solrock and Monferno. Xatu is especially good here because it gets Air Slash which is field boosted. I had one on me as well. Granted it probably also helped that he missed Gale Strike all 3 or so times he went for it. In regards to Lucario, Psychic is neutral on it because of it's Steel typing. A field boosted Air Slash or a fire move is best there. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
