"I appreciate the gesture, but I don't like tea." Answered Nadine to the kenku's offer. "The already established payment is more than enough for me and I don't feel comfortable accepting a drink when I haven't done anything yet."

The Kenku visibly frowned, which was a weird gesture due to its beak. “What can I  get you as a drink. The tavern’s closing soon and I don’t want a patron to miss out. This goes for all of you who haven’t drank as well.”

The halfling, now nearing his 6th bottle, spoke. “Forrrr where to start in... in... in Wellklear... issss... uh. Hermit gnome..... Shashu. He might.... know things... Maybe poison.... maybe demons.... maybe nothing.... Shashu might knows.... he lives near.... springs...”

The loud ringing of a bell could be heard throughout the tavern. A Kenku, maybe the same one from earlier, walked over towards them. It scooped up the copious bottles and mugs and took a fistful of gold from the halfling. “The tavern is now closed. Please retire to your rooms or roam the ship. Preferably the first. We will be arriving in Swellbreeze early in the morning.” The Kenku escorted the party and halfling to the hallway holding their rooms. “Have a nice, Safe, night.”

Kaeso had refused the alcoholic drink earlier due to obvious religious reasons with a, "No thank you, the people of my order all avoid any drink containing grapes or alcohol, as we all heed the warning contained in the story of Nukhu, about how strong drink is a mocker that leads to nothing but depression, loss of wealth, and running around naked and curse our least favorite child's descendants for all eternity...as he had tried to put clothes on you and complained to his siblings when his failure to do so became depressingly known.". After everyone else was done he chose to take a short walk around the ship, as he was not feeling tired enough to go to bed.

Gael quietly headed to his room. After shutting the door behind him, he quickly looked around. Not much of interest, to be sure, but he found what he was looking for; a chair by a small wooden table. He carefully positioned it leaning on the door, so opening from outside would knock the chair over and produce a loud noise. He then allowed himself some rest.

"I personally would like to retire to my room. I'm not sure about sleeping so soon, so if anyone would like to stay for a chat feel free to knock." Crevasse bowed her head a bit before heading inside her room, and locking the door. She gave a long sigh as she put down her belongings, it had been quite a day and she was unsure of the things that would come of her new employer. She slid her rapier under a pillow where she usually kept it during the night, and picked up a book to do some late night reading.

Being not sleepy at all, Tan decided to forgo sleep and to roam around the ship, hoping to find something interesting. Yet before doing so, he felt that informing of his colleagues of his whereabouts would be good. "I will be roaming the ship if any of you needs me". And with that, he walked towards the exit of the hallway.

Lynsal had taken all the extra drinks that people had refused. After being sufficiently drunk, Lynsal decided to sit on the deck of the ship, as the tavern shut. He kept the last two bottles with him and started drinking it sitting there. Soon, he fell asleep near the front deck of the ship.

As Tan walked around the ship, wandering about with no purpose, he felt overwhelming waves of tiredness and giddiness creeping up on to him, making struggle to even keep his eyes open. "Damn was it the drinks." Tan thought to himself. "Either way, i need to get back to my room." He walked in the direction of the hallway with his room, trying to make his way to the room and find respite from this wretched sleepiness.

“A visitor? I didn’t expect anyone so soon. That’s a little odd.” Crevasse thought to herself. She took her rapier from where it lay and approached the door slowly as not to make a sound and gently pressed an ear to the door. “Hello?” She meowed, “Who is it and how may I help you?”

"I-It's me, Nadine. I think I need help." Nadine leans on the door with fatigued expression. "I know this might be strange and I will understand if you choose to not trust me, but I have been feeling a little bit strange. I think there was something in the drinks... I only took a sip before I realized that it might be a trap, but now I'm feeling overly tired. I'm sure it was that drink... Please, Crevasse, you seemed the nicest of the team and you didn't drink anything... I don't know who else can I ask..."

Desmond, who was not sleepy, decided to roam the ship to see if he could find something interesting. Few minutes later, Desmond started to feel  weird, and couldn't keep his eyes open. The tea was supposed to give me more energy...

Not feeling well and almost at the point of passing out, Desmond takes the obvious reason of going back to his room, when he sees Nadine knocking the door of Crevasse, and hear the part that she was not feeling well. With one hand holding his head and the other on the wall to not pass out, Desmond approaches Nadine.

"Hey, are you not feeling well either?... That's weird..."

“Is there another as well?” Crevasse swiftly unlocked the door, and opens it a slight to look. “You’re the Wellian person right? Wellian Desmond and Nadine as you said. You are... both part of my group, I see.” She grabs them both by their collars, pulls them into her room and locks the door once more, being careful not to slam it. “I guess it wasn’t just the alcohol then. I’m going to assume this isn’t some kind of trap. But if it is, I think I’ll take any weapons or components or whatever you have on you. In exchange I’ll keep careful watch tonight and let you use my bed. Sound fair?”

Kaeso wandered around the mostly empty and locked up lower deck for a few moments to pass the time...and maybe get some more light exercise to try and get used to the way that the ship moved and stave off the effects of seasickness. He then walked over to the tavern and knocked on the door a couple of times to see if someone would open up and get him some water...only to find the place to be both locked and seemingly empty of servants.

After a while he wanders up to the top deck only to find that the monk has made a mockery of himself with his strong drink, and had chosen to lie down on the floor exactly the way a fool seeking a slow and relatively comfortable death would. He then leaned down and tried to gently lift the man off of the floor and brought him back down to his room while he continously chanted a short prayer for the man's soul. "Mainhun Shukr, please grant this man the Serenity, to accept the things he can not change, Courage to change the things he can, and Wisdom to know the difference.".

"Uh... Take forever or just for the night?" Asked Nadine. "Actually, never mind, take what you want." Nadine leaves her belongings in a corner and collapses into the bed. "Thank you."

"Yeah, I don't mind... If something happens, I can just use my magic." Desmond drops his belongings into the ground, and drags himself to a corner. "This is not right... I think it's obvious now that the drinks and the tea were poisoned. Crevasse, right? I think we should wait for the worst. I-I just need some sleep and I will..." Before finishing the sentence, Desmond falls asleep.

A few minutes after they had gone silent, the tabaxi silently tried to nudge and poke both Nadine and Desmond to see if any reaction would hint at wakefullness. Either they were good at acting or definitely asleep. She placed their belongings besides each of their unconscious bodies, sat down with an ear once again pressed to the door and waited. Crevasse was confident her anxiety would keep her up, and her experience would not betray her.

As most of the party bid each other rest and went off to slumber, soft footsteps could be heard. The watchful eye’s of multiple Kenku observed the few wanderers. Eventually, after everyone entered a room, they struck. Quickly and quietly, the flock of Kenku snuck through the hall like shadows. Each pulled out a key and quietly unlocked the door. In three of the rooms, the birds found nothing. The birds grabbed the sleeping occupants of all of the rooms. All but two. In one room, Crevasse sprang back as she felt the door push open. In another, Kaeso was suprised to see a Kenku enter the room. In a different room a chair hit the ground and fell over.

A Kenku jabbed his shortsword forward, but Crevasse expected it and expertly sidestepped. In another room, a shortsword struck uselessly at Kaeso’s armor.

“So that’s how it is!” She hissed. Crevasse immediately casts minor illusion, recreating the deafening scream of a particularly dangerous bounty that Crevasse gave a slow and agonizing death to. “KILL ME YOU COWARD!!!” The voice screamed in agony, “KILL ME KILL ME KILL ME ALREADY!! I SWEAR TO- AAAAAAAGGHHH!!”

She made sure the sound would be loud enough to ring through the halls and perhaps wake up both Nadine and Desmond.

Guest Sparkin'

The girl awakens while noticing being shaked. She then opens her eyes to notice that she was being carried around by beings that she didn't know the name of. Angered, she screamed: "You have committed a grave sin against the almighty...". After confusing the creatures with the thoughts, she unleashed her powers: "Fufufu...To defy the almighty like this...You mustn't be beings from this universe..."-

She then, incredibly focused chanted the words: "Oh Great Almighty! I Request To Observe Your Sacred Flame Once Again!"

Flames have began to appear and they were aimed at the little creatures.
