Visrii witnessed the explosion.

"You damned idiots!" he cursed as he pushed forward back toward the front-lines. "There's a Heartless right in front of you and now you're all too busy avoiding friendly fire?"

And you're saying I'm the dangerous one.

Visrii pulled the person lying on the ground (Edmond) back up and away from the grenade's blast zone. Thankfully, Alexandria had come in swiftly to protect the nutheads from hurting themselves.

"You 'right?" Visrii asked as he surveyed the person of any wounds.

Solomon notices the grenade exploding near his general area, it was a bit of a let down to be honest, which is why he immediately clambered onto yet another book based construct, and said "We who are about to die, don't want to, so let's CHAAAAARGEEE!".

"Yes, I'm fine. Thanks anyway."

He shuddered for a moment, and decided not to think about his possible demise for the time being.

"It's rather surprising to see what appears to be a standard antique earth-military grenade..."

Edmond maintained a calm demeanor on the outside. Inside, he was flooded with a mixture of surpise, annoyance, fear, and consternation.

Seriously? I don't even...I mean... He sighed, and calmed down.

((kj, we're going along with Cronos' interpretation of the action. Also, put those remarks in OOC, you're breaking the 4th wall. It's a justified one, but it still should be in OOC.))

Visrii snorted. "If it had not been for Alexandria, we probably would have had one casualty already."

Visrii readied his staff again, which he had sheathed to pull the man away from the explosion. "Now, are gonna tackle this thing, or are we gonna stand around and talk?"

Visrii charged up his lightning spear again, and shot it swiftly against the Heartless in front of them.

"Let us applaud the vid actor's attempt to decimate our enemies forces with his pineapple fragmentation grenade later, for now we march!" Solomon launches some metalic books at the heartless while charging towards them.

"Theo, I am sending you an audio file,"  Since we're getting a mildly ridiculous amount of time to talk before the boss starts fighting, Alexandria takes the opportunity to deploy her hammer and shield.  "Alright, come on you rusty pile of scrap!  It's time for you to go back to the junkyard!  In peace, or in pieces."

The blast from the grenade dissipated the Heartless, the darkness scattering in motes before fading. The machine went right back to its task, however, once again beginning construction of another foe for the heroes to face. As they assault the machine, one of the decorative suits of armor suddenly leaps forth, deflecting the attacks with its shield before tossing the would-be aggressors backward with a bash from the same implement.

The spider practically bristled as yet another mass of darkness formed within the center of the machine's operating space; she'd seen far more than enough of the little runts just during the short journey to get up here. There was little patience for the creatures left in her, if there ever had been to begin with. From where she stood near the back of the illuminated chamber, she lifted her hand, snarling as a soft celestial light began to gather there. She cared naught for the interloping suit of armor in the way... if it wanted to try and take the bolt of celestial fire bursting forward from her palm, it was welcome to test it's mettle. One way or another, she was done fighting little black blobs of inedible origin.

Aurora raises The Radiant Shard and fires at the Heartless currently being formed by the machine (If heartless dies first, Attack the Sentient Armor instead)

Venus

Having remained uninterestedly taciturn throughout the journey, the time to act had come as Venus met eyes with the complex machine that began to produce more Heartless, with a sentient being of full plate committing to defend the machine with shield in hand.

How plain. How dull and mechanical. Venus had little inclination to allocate his attentions on the falsely active anatomy of metal; even his puppets brimmed with more life than such an uncouth casing of mail. He urged more to attack more of the shadowy fiends that the machine continued to produce even as the last wave faded away, but the living armor was by far the biggest impediment as the others tried to destroy the machine. It seemed illogical to assault the ward while the machine remained active, but noting the larger amount of members focusing on it, the artist surmised his principal choice to minimize all cumbers to their objective.

Jesse

Jesse raises a brow while the machine started to conjure another being to attack them, that can't be good. the sniper levels his gun at its guardian. It looks like that sentient armor is trying to protect that vile summoning machine.

Jesse cast a strange sigil out of thin air using his index finger and uses Specter's hunger(Free action) and marks the living armor with 'leech' status for 2 turns; 4 cd.

Jesse fires an enchanted bullet and uses Shhhhhhhhhhhh! Silence! on the living armor before it does something unusual.  3 turn cd

Jade O'Duffle (33/33HP) (Healthy) (6/6 Cryo-Rounds)

Keeping mostly quite Jade focuses on completing the mission. It's just like completing a bounty. Now faced up against the origin of the heartless and their mission objective they must complete it as soon as possible. His quick reflexes lets him get the first strike on their foes. Seeing as the machine is currently the cause of all the heartless, slowing down it's production would be quite beneficial. Taking that into account he fires a Cryo round into the heartless being made in hopes it'll slow down it's production even if it maybe for just a few seconds.

Aim to Kill on the Heartless being produced by the Machine. (1d6 + Dex + (-1 initiation))

"Ha - animated armour. Guess what's new, eh?"

If the animated armour was made of metal, it'll be weak to lightning. Visrii fires off a bolt of lightning from his staff, mostly to test its resilience.

After the armor's initial attack, Edmond leaped back, and attempted to analyze it's behavior and motions.
Though it seemed but a moment to his human senses, all most every member of the group had begun their assault.
Edmond uses Analyze (Adds 3 stat points for 1d4 turns in any manner to INT and/or SYN. Put the stats all into INT, as I don't have any Actions relying on SYN right now)

Kagari eyed the machine with an air of indifference. She was never quite one for machines. Still, though, if this was what was churning out those sorry excuses for monsters, it had to be stopped. Such mob-like monsters with low intelligence and a lack of free will brought the monster race nothing but bad reputation, and their reputation was already bad enough. Besides, these monster-like things just felt... wrong. Unnatural. Weird.

She considered her two targets, but decided to hit the armor. The machine was clearly able to produce new Heartless, but it had yet to demonstrate an ability to make more animated armor. Better to get those things out of the way first.

Besides, it was a nice way to vent all her pent-up armor-related stress. The excessively precise movements of the armor clearly indicated it was an inhuman, therefore it was just not as dangerous. Nodding, she dove posterior-first into the melee.

Kagari uses Hip Gatling on the Animated Armor. If it fails, use it on a random other armor. ((Hip Gatling Deals Xd3 damage, where X is (DEX/2), rounded down. In Akizuki Mode, so has 6*1.2 = 8 DEX after rounding up. Hip Gatling is a butt attack, so Keijo Pro activates, improving base damage prior to modifiers by 8. Final damage roll = 4d3 + 8))

Magna spun her scythe with a flourish, preparing herself for combat. She eyed the suit of armor, deeming that to be the best target for her to attack right now. She was well aware of how weak her physical capabilities were compared to the others, but she would at least try and hold her own. If the insignificant enemies were taken care of, the stronger of her allies could focus on destroying the machine spawning Heartless faster. With her decision made, Magna stopped twirling her scythe, and winded back before delivering a blow to the suit of armor.

Izumi Kurosawa, 33/33 HP

She was outside when she heard the gunshot, outside because somewhere between seeing the pin drop to the floor, and hearing the yells of friendly fire, it became abundantly clear that she was too sober enough for this. Sweeping in, gun drawn, Kurosawa finds herself being greeted by, amongst other things, someone trying to drive their rear end into a suit of armor.

"*sigh* It's going to be one of those days, isn't it?"

From here, she could only hit the armor. Fine with her, it seemed to be doing well impeding half the group anyway, and with the impact of her weapon, she might just be able to get its defenses to falter. Leaping to the side, she swings her arm outwards. Two gunshots resound.

Tempest Bloom II on Animated Armor.

Inflicts Stagger, reducing the victim's RES by DEX/2 for 3 Turns. The effect has a gauge that fills by 1 for every attack that strike the victim. If the gauge reaches 12, the RES penalty worsens to DEX. 3 Cooldown.
