  1. "Being ferried across this chasm is much more preferable than being thrown. Forgive me for doubting your sense of aim, but I shudder to consider the event in which you miss and one of us ends up in the abyss," Soryn said with concern. "It is precisely times like this where I regret being unable to create myself wings and fly, but I will settle for being carried." "Just out of curiosity, I wonder how deep this opening spans," Soryn said. Raising his arm, Soryn prepared to fire a bolt of electricity to light up the darkness, and to see if anything would react to the stimulus.
  2. "By the sound of it, you seem to be suggesting an application of the sciences, Hiroki," he said. But he shook his head in response. "However, I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar in matters regarding scientific application, beyond the fact that you are referring to electricity. Not to mention that I'm unsure if the applications of your world would apply here in our strange... environment," as he was referred to their physical transformation and the changed nature of his abilities. Was he even a vampire anymore? Soryn decided not to pursue this train of thought, lest it led to some sort of existential cri
  3. "Are we supposed to be expecting the same sort of welcome at every... other stone?" Soryn said disdainfully, as he dispersed the remaining electricity from Jade. Even as they were ascending back to the surface, Soryn was giving a cautious eye behind them, as who knows if anything decided to come skittering back along with them. Their encounter with the Makuta had left him a little rattled. "I certainly wouldn't mind if the other places were more accommodating."

  7. Soryn let out a bated sigh, as whatever that train wreck that just occurred, had finally passed. But it would seem this moment of respite wouldn't last for long, as his hearing picked up on the skittering of some fast approaching creatures. For once, he would like some peace and quiet, but he had already learned quite quickly that that would be too much to ask for. Soryn readied himself the best he could, for whatever lurking dangers lay ahead of the party.
  8. "I- You- What do you know of me?" Soryn said, being caught off guard by the mysterious entity's revelations. He tried to calm himself, not wanting to play to the enemy's tune. "A hero, perhaps the wrong way of viewing myself, I agree." Magna's words echoed back to him once more, making his gut feel twisted and uncomfortable. "But if I cannot be a hero, then one must pursue through other means then, even if I have to resort to spite. It's not just one woman who has influenced me so," he said with contempt. He didn't want to admit it, but he had already been played by two dif
  9. "Is there a point to conversing like this anymore?" Soryn had no difficulty seeing in the dark, being a vampire and all, but he activated his electrical barrier on his body to allow his allies to have some light to permeate their surroundings. "Those who choose to dwell in darkness oft are able to be trustworthy. It would seem that an entity like you would be the type to not cede to anyone's request. Otherwise you would have shown yourself by now."
  10. Soryn gathered electricity in his fingertips and attempted to form a sphere of electricity, much like he would with blood. But to his dismay, trying to contain electricity to a particular form only caused it to violently disperse. His conventional methods of fighting would have to change, as he was no longer able to deal with liquids. Instead, using his body as a conduit, Soryn began conducting electricity, using his body as a conduit. It began as mere sparks, but soon electricity leapt across his entire body, This would have to do in place of Hemosphere. Satisfied with the result, he disperse
  11. Yet again, Soryn found himself in another strange scenario. It hadn't been long before their group had managed to return to the their home in one piece, only to be thrown into another universe once more. Soryn was conflicted as to whether he should take this as a surprise, or to just give up and acclimate himself to these strange occurrences. It would seem that this time, their appearances had been altered. Though clad in various metals and colors, it appeared that a few of the group had been taken along as well. Soryn drew blood from his reservoir, and clad himself in blood in an attempt to m
  12. Move to A11, Equip Slim Sword, on Wind the Leaf, wonder when this fight will end
  13. Rosalvya stood before her opponent, wearied. Exhausted. She could barely make out the figure standing before her, hardly distinguishing that it was an enemy had it not been their reaction to pull out their tome. Time appeared to warp around her, as if slowing down to a crawl. Is this what they called a near-death experience? Because she certainly felt like death at this point. Magic began to swirl about the book, either in panic, or eagerness to strike down the figure on the verge of death. The shaman appeared to be reciting an incantation, but Rosalvya no longer had the focus to hear anything
  14. Esyllt Katja's reaction and Riley's remark had only confirmed her suspicions. Regardless of whether or not either of them knew what Esyllt's abilities did, Katja had a reason to avoid her attacks. If this was going to be a game of tag, then she would have to switch tactics. With another snap of her fingers, a second volley of vines barreled towards Katja. Except this time, she sought to have the vines cut off Katja's movement, and lead her towards the girls who were trying to cut Katja off. With the enemy's movement severely hampered, Esyllt decided to join the fray, as she attempt
  15. Rosalvya view of the world started blurring, as the sounds of battle began fading from her mind. She had lost quite a bit of blood, and was starting to lose her vision. Rosalvya only knew that she had to cut down the enemies around her. Although, it seemed that she couldn't feel the cold anymore. Move to A9 and attack Shaman 1
  16. Esyllt "Transform, right. I'll just-" she said in disbelief before a familiar and calming light enveloped Esyllt's clothing, as it unfolded into her halter neck dress and tattoos. Orbs of light danced about around her, as if in tuned with her breathing. She was hoping that everything was some form of disillusion of ill taste, but there was no point in denying reality any more. Esyllt knew nothing of her abilities, but they had to be able to provide some form of assistance if Riley was requesting for everyone's cooperation. That being said, Esyllt hadn't a clue as to where to begin.
  17. "G-great... they keep on... c-coming..." said Rosalvya, shivering. "I'll just have t-to cut them down as many t-times as it takes!" Move to B7, equip Scimitar, and attack Undead Bandit 1
  18. Esyllt "Wait, slow down just a second..." she said in a daze. She was having a hard time wrapping her head around the recent events. An explanation just wouldn't cut it in this situation; there were too many things happening concurrently that it would seem far too troublesome to even comprehend. Esyllt decided that it just wasn't worth it to rationalize what was in front of her, lest she begin to question her own sanity. Rather, it might be worthwhile to deal with the current progression of events. That being, everyone else being eagerly willing to be complicit in murder. "So you'r
  19. Esyllt "Riley, Alva, we're clearly way in over our heads here," Esyllt said nervously. The entire bit about torture seemed a little too surreal to be true, but Katja didn't deny it either. And there was no need for verification to know that anything else related to someone tied to a cult of torture would only spell bad news. Kaede's transformation felt inexplicable to Esyllt, but that was honestly the least of their worries, so long as she wasn't trying to harm the rest of them. They would have to worry about that later, when they were far, far away from here. "I don't think remain
  20. Soryn The strange mist that Soryn had transformed himself into had made its way to Magnum's bus. It gathered itself upon a seat on the bus, before Soryn materialized himself back into his humanoid form. "I think I'll take you up on that offer, Magnum. Thank you," he said graciously. He considered making his way back to the castle on his own, but decided it was for the best not to keep brooding on his own. On the exterior, Soryn was trying his best not to let his mood show. "I do apologize for not properly introducing myself earlier. My name is Soryn Éclaire, and as you may have alr
  21. Esyllt She stood, dazed at Riley's... temporary lapse in sanity, as she thrust her sword into the ground. She seemed to be talking to someone other than them, someone whom she seemed to be aware of, but lacked the means of finding their observer. Esyllt's eyes darted around, searching, but never finding. It was hard to believe they were being followed, but two of the girls seemed rather rattled. Esyllt felt like she had been missing a lot lately. First on the hike, and now in the woods, she began to question her own memory. The aforementioned observer that Riley had seemed to be ad
  22. Esyllt Esyllt was about to ask the girls a question, but before Esyllt could utter a word, Riley had already driven her sword into Alva. The rapid development of events left her at a loss for words, before registering that Alva had been stabbed. By the time Esyllt had recovered from her shock, Kaede's reaction left her blinking in awe. It wasn't until Alva had yelled for them to run that Esyllt had finally snapped back into it. Deciding that this was too much for them to handle, Esyllt turned an immediate one eighty and began to dash back to camp.
  23. Esyllt "Woah woah woah, let's uh- let's all calm down here..." Esyllt said nervously. Riley was acting delusional. Suddenly paranoid of something out there, and then threatening an injured person? Something just wasn't right. Esyllt was at a loss as to how to defuse the situation. The hilt of Riley's blade had begun to glow; the thought of it being a toy sword had crossed Esyllt's mind, but no, the steel of the blade looked very, very, real. On top of being injured, Alva wasn't even armed. She couldn't see why she'd pose a threat to Riley. "You said you had um, something to talk ab
  24. Esyllt "You can count on us, Miss Filhem," she said nonchalantly, rather glad to be leaving the field. Alva seemed to be shaping up fine, so all Alva needed was a little rest, and then all was well. Since Kaede and Riley had either side of Alva, Esyllt slipped back in to her mind and pondered. She had her eyes closed when the injury occurred, so she hadn't a clue as to what had happened. The other girls hadn't seemed to be able to given a comprehensible testimony; at least not one that she'd have believed. Still, there was no arguing that the result had been a dislocated shoulder.
  25. "God, hm..." he said, letting out a sigh. He was just about done with fighting ghosts. "What an odd thing to be saying to a vampire." Soryn disregarded Snow's act of spite; well aware of the fact that he shouldn't expect anyone to be able to sympathize with the enemy. Though he still found rather rude. He felt wearied after this entire ordeal. Being transported to another world, fighting otherwordly beings, it was certainly a tiresome state of affairs. But because of his selfish actions, an overwhelming sensation came over him. Catharsis. "Sounds good, Edmond," Magna gr
