  1. Where was she? Ah yes, she was going to go find the singer, Kagari. There was something about her voice that granted restorative properties. For someone like Magna who didn't like getting up all close and personal, Kagari seemed like an ideal ally to fight with. Kagari certainly had her... fighting quirks, but Magna wasn't really one to talk. There was something early on in her undeath about scythes and how important "iconography" was, but she wasn't really listening by that point. In any case, Kagari wasn't that hard to find; no one else had swimwear on by default. "Hello Miss Singer," s
  2. Just as Magna's hand had made contact with H.K.'s, she had immediately rescinded her grip. It was followed by a strange crackling sound that would have been deafening had it not been for the fact that her hearing didn't work the same as a human's. As if almost anticipating her reaction, Magna let out a laugh. Not a vocal one, but rather the sound of her skull clattering. The sound echoed hollowly, hopefully only within distance of just H.K. She had forgot how fun surprising humans were. Back in her world, she wasn't allowed to interact with mortals outside of work, and would always get scolded
  3. "Wonderful, I'm glad we could come to an agreement," as she said that, Magna's mask almost seem like it formed a smile. Or was it merely a trick of the dark? In any case, she extended her hand for a handshake, clearly disregarding her earlier statement of being a germophobe. If she were to have H.K. trust her as a potential ally, then Magna felt that she could give up a secret or two to do so. "As for my capabilities... if you hadn't seen earlier, then you'll find out soon enough. It'll be a pleasure fighting with you, H.K.~"
  4. "Well then, H.K.," Magna said, deciding on a whim to give Hiroki a nickname. Talk of favor and gods eluded her, and would no doubt mean nothing to Magna as a whole. "What do you make of all, this?" she asked nonchalantly. She performed a vague gesture with her hands, referring to all the strangers gathered here. "From where I come from, all this? Doesn't exist. I don't ever recall people being able to evolve their capabilities this far, even with the technologies available at the time. I suspect that you nor I are familiar with this place, or these people. Which brings to me to the conclusion
  5. "Oh don't be like that! Everyone's special in their own way. You just don't realize it!" Magna beamed. And they were, but everyone literally just doesn't realize it! Because she doubted they could see souls! "Let me introduce myself, my name is Magna Sigyl, occupation- well- I'm actually unemployed right now. Pardon me for not shaking your hand; I'm a bit of a germophobe, see," as she pointed towards her other gloved hand. That wasn't remotely true, but if Hiroki were to shake her hand, she would find out that Magna's hand is awfully bony. "I overheard your name earlier, but I hope you would
  6. "So lady with the glowing eyes; do you have a name? And are you one of those vaguely evil necromancer types?" As if that were any way to introduce one self. The fact that the person had the audacity to just walk up and ask that made her question his sanity. "Don't say such ridiculous stuff," Magna scoffed. She wasn't quite keen on wanting to trust the others yet, as they had only just met each other perhaps an hour ago. The fact that the cloaked person had already discerned her ability was bad enough. "There's no such thing as a 'necromancer', at least not in my world. The only thing I
  7. "Grah," she grunted, as the larger creature began to target her. While she didn't feel conventional pain like the living did, she was acutely aware of the physical damage done to her vessel. Everyone else had finished up their business, clearing out the rest of the strange creatures. They seemed to be gone for good, as they remained permanently dead. As if reacting to the other Shadow Beasts dying, Magna recalled the souls she had trapped in her summons, to make it seem like they died alongside their comrades. In turn, she then absorbed the souls into her own body to heal herself. The corpses
  8. Rosalvya's encounter with the soldier left her wounded and out of breath. She felt that she was wearing down, her movements becoming slower. But if the others were still fighting strong, so would she. The next set of enemies were still a distance away, so she had time to do some first aid on herself. She moved closer to Anna, and began applying the Vulnerary to her wound. It stung like always, but it's restorative properties had never failed her before. It sort of made her wonder what went in them. As she neared Anna, she decided to keep talking with her, as there was still time before the ene
  9. Felis scratched his head, as he received a lecture from Rame. He had immediately jumped to the worst conclusion, and assumed that Rame was going to lose control. He didn't regret his actions, however, as the situation could have escalated much quicker, especially with everyone gathered in such close proximity. "It does matter... what you feel. If you lose your... temper... the others could be... in danger," he said. Felis dusted himself off, clearing the excess debris off his garments. His eyes then shifted to the two on stage; the two entities that held an aura about them that deceived what t
  10. As soon as the dust settled, Felis could feel all eyes being focused on him. From the looks of it, everyone had assembled in the auditorium already. His eyes scanned the room, locating the two strange presences he had felt earlier. He stood impassively, staring straight at the two on the stage. At first glance, they looked to be normal people. One of them even looked to be their age. But it was clear to see that they held a different air about them. While he sensed no sense of hostilities coming from them, that was no reason for him to drop his guard. Meanwhile, there was a ball of hostilities
  11. According to the block of wood they had received, 10:30 was the appointed time. Well, he was ten minutes late. Despite receiving the summons to the assembly hall ahead of time, his morning meditation had caused him to lose track of time. Nevertheless, Felis had no sense of urgency, as he was already running late. What's a few more minutes? Looking around for the appointed meeting place, he suddenly stopped in place. Water began to rise from the fountain, and into a building. Undoubtedly it was the work of someone's Lumen, but he wasn't aware of anyone in their camp being able to manipulate wat
  12. "I- I see..." she said, still a little startled by Ian's sudden appearance. He had left as quickly as he had shown up. "I've asked him to teach me that trick before." Anna pouted crossing her arms. "His answer was 'No Anna, you'll surely use it to do evil things.' Can you believe that? How could a young and beautiful woman like myself ever hurt a soul?" "Ahah... I wonder why..." she said with an unassuming tone. "Anna, you clubbed a man to death out of spite. I don't think Ian's concern was unfounded." "Was Ian always... a merchant?" she asked Anna. She had to wonder, because if all b
  13. "Eep! I- I mean, -ahem, O-oh, you were there, Ian," Rosalvya said, trying to mask her surprise. "O-of course, that would be appreciated. Please be careful on your way back." Boy was the man stealthy. Was he actually following their group the entire time without anybody noticing? She shook her head and tried to refocus herself. She couldn't allow herself to lose track of her surroundings like that.
  14. As if too burdened down by his wounds, the Mage didn't even make a move to react. Rosalvya thrusted her blade through the man's chest, his body slumping to the ground as all signs of life escaped. She withdrew the blade with a grimace, as she cleared the blade of blood. The Mage was barely alive as it was, but she knew she had to finish him off to eliminate the risks of him having the energy for one last attack on her allies. In the end, the Mage was still grasping on to his tome, even in death. The effects of its magic seemed different from the ones they had in their group. She felt bad about
  15. A trumpet blared in the background, as some beasts were starting to fuse together. Was this one of there abilities as well? She turned, to see the source of the noise coming from... a bird. Magna scratched her head, as she couldn't discern why a bird would want to fuse these already hostile creatures into something bigger and meaner. But then, it was as if a light bulb went off in her head. "If that thing dies, I could have a bigger and BETTER minion! Then I won't have to do as much!" she thought to herself. "Minion! Attack the big one!" Magna uses Reave on the Shadow Monster Shadow Beast B
  16. Felis shook his head. He couldn't come up with a convincing enough argument for Rame. He simply didn't know what to say to her, as his attempts seemed like hitting a wall. He had never had to deal with problems through talking before, and the more he tried, the more frustrated he became. But... he wouldn't give up. He would think about it some more, and try and talk with Rame more. But for now, he wished to leave. He moved back towards his bunk bed and retrieved his greatsword, before moving to the window once more. "I... am going to... meditate," Felis said. He figured some time meditating wo
  17. Rame began rummaging through her bag, until she produced a pair of restraints. That, clued Felis into the cause behind the wounds on her wrists. But to murder one's kin, is something that saddened Felis. No matter how angry, how bitter, how resentful he was of his biological caretakers or his peers, he would never go so far as to commit an act of murder. Her brothers seemed like the only good thing in her life, but then she mentioned a name: Braith. Was that the name of one of her brothers? It had to be. But why would she suddenly differentiate him now, instead of colloquially referring to her
  18. Magna would have grinned, if it weren't for the lack of facial tissue. In her face. The beast was reanimated, that was for sure. It's eyes glowed red, much like Magna's did. But was it under her control? "Move left. Now right. Now spin in a circle," she thought, as she issued commands in her mind. "Now face the other creatures of your kind and roar hostilities at them." Hopefully the other mortals would figure out that this Shadow Beast wasn't like the others. She didn't quite want to outwardly reveal that she was in control of one of them, as it may easily lead to the implication that she w
  19. Magna chuckled, as someone made a comment on the glow of her eyes. "The people here are far more interesting than I, with the powers to transform or levitate objects and all," she said nonchalantly. It would seem that Solomon had come to the same conclusion as she did regarding multiverses, and perhaps so did the others. "The glow from my mask is just an aesthetic." She downplayed the importance of it all, not wishing to draw attention to herself. She would keep the others guessing for as long as she needed to~
  20. "No... I do not!" he said, as he slammed his fist into the metal bar that supported the upper bunk. His voice flared up in anger, but as soon as he realized what was happening, he immediately reigned in his anger. He had let out a little Lumen slip out by accident, causing his strike to leave a sizable dent in the metal bar. As a result, the upper bed tipped a little in response. Exile? What did that really mean? He was effectively exiled from society, his family, but that was in Medulla. He hadn't the faintest idea of what that meant or could mean, in Acquillo. And he would never know, if no
  21. Magna backed off immediately, as her scythe had little to no impact. "I suppose that's what I get for being a non-combatant," she chuckled to herself. Very rarely did spirits fight back, making the need to subdue them unnecessary. The living beings she dealt with back in her universe didn't have access to arcane technologies or possessed innate magic. But even with the feisty spirits, she could just reanimate souls to do the work for her. If it really came down to it, she could fight with the basic use of her scythe. What made her curious though, were the nature of these... beings. Did convent
  22. Felis said nothing, as he didn't understand most of what Rame was referring to. Abuse, for the most part, but it wasn't his place to console or sympathize with her. Any attempt at doing so might only invite rebuke and further anger. Perhaps he would ask at another time. But for now, that issue was neither here nor there, and there seemed to be even a twinge of relief in her voice at being exiled. "But... why are you... here," he said, trying to place more emphasis on his question. Perhaps he wasn't clear enough. "Why... fight in Auster?"
  23. Soon after Felis had finished his monologue, he could hear laughing. But there was no other person in the cabin other than- -Oh. Felis couldn't tell whether the laugh was a good thing or a bad thing. Failing to understand what was funny, he simply sat down on a bunk. You saw what they did when I tried to kill that brat, the bastards don't play around here." "Neither do you," he thought to himself, as the statement unnerved him. Actually hearing that she had intended to kill someone outright was still a little unsettling, no matter the context. "Heheh.. Ok then, hero..." She
  24. Rosalvya had moved into position, acutely aware of her surroundings on the battlefield. She would let the enemy approach her, instead of running head-first into the battlefield. As if on cue, the nearby mage came running towards her, tome in hand. But his moves were so telegraphed, that she had no issue moving out of the way. Next came a Mercenary with sword in hand. If he thought he could hit her with that heavy blade, then he was going to be in for a surprise. After all, she knew first-hand how heavy it was herself. She held her Slim Sword in her hands, the sword's lightness feeling a little
  25. Magna chuckled, as she watched the humans spur in action. "Mortals, always in a hurry to kill or rush into their deaths," she said to herself. She sort of envied them, as she had forgotten what it was like to truly "live". Being dead and all. Though, she let out a low whistle, as she witnessed unique abilities one after another. Many had physical capabilites that certainly surpassed the average human, others could transform, and some had abilities that weren't native to humans. Magna even began to question whether or not these people WERE humans, or magical beings that took human form. After o
