"Sorry, I'll try to be a little louder," Rosalvya said, as she cleared her throat. She hadn't realized she had been mumbling to herself. "I was just wondering how you could be so brave. I mean to say- we have reliable people like Meredith who are capable of fighting up close so- um-" In her fluster, she used too much pressure when applying the bandages, cutting off circulation in Klaren's arm. "Why do you go so far as to be on the frontlines?"

Rosalvya couldn't help but smile, as Klaren's mood was contagious. She sat down next to him, as she gathered up all the loose bandages that Klaren had been dragging with him. "Say, Klaren..." she said with hesitance, as she began to bandage up Klaren's arm. She hadn't really planned out what she was going to say to Klaren, and fumbled to find the right words. "You always seem to be the first one to charge onto the frontlines. I was just wondering- um- how you can be so... brave"

Rosalvya's sword grinded hollowly against the whetstone, as she began maintaining her blades. There was something about the motions that calmed her nerves after every battle. Perhaps it was the repetitious and meticulous motions of each and every- The unexpected voice surprised her, causing her to apply too much pressure and in the process, lose the bevel she was working at. She cursed silently to herself, as she began to put away her sharpening implements. It was Klaren, and it looked like he was looking for her. Judging by the fact that there was no one else around her, Lilylilylilylilylily could only be referring to her. "Over here Klaren. I had actually been meaning to talk with you, but I never quite found an opportunity to approach. But it seems like you've found me first," she said, with a gentle smile. Her gaze shifted over to his arm that he was attempting to bandage on his own. "Oh no, did you get injured in the last fight? Let me help you with that." She jumped to her feet and went over to attend to his bandages.

"I trust that you two will be okay on your own here. I'll go and join Saffron in the meantime. Please take care of Dash," she said with concern in her voice. There was nothing she could do for the boy, and the other two were more than enough to hold the line. Rosalvya turned and headed towards the others without looking back. Move to T10 and hold

The adrenaline eventually thinned, as Soryn regained his senses. He spat distastefully, as if disgusted. He stood upright and dusted himself off, reverting his appearance. His fangs and nails shortened, and his pupils returned to their normal brown color. He combed his wiry fingers through his hair, sleeking it back to it's original shape. He hated reverting back to what he referred to his 'feral' form. It wasn't elegant, and certainly not suitable to blend into normal society. Looking around at his surroundings, it seemed that the others had experienced some similar agony. Provided no one was paying too much detail to him, they wouldn't have a cause for alarm. His eyes narrowed, as his attention was then directed to the cause of his distress. He had regained his senses long enough to hear the man's explanation. But after his explanation was done, he started to leave. Before he could get too far, Soryn tried to follow the man to find some answers. "And who do you think you are?" Soryn said in a haughty tone. "To have presumably dragged us out here across universes, out of our own will, and fight for your cause? Something doesn't add up here." Soryn walked up closer to the impaled man, but kept a wary distance of him. Whatever he- it was, it sent chills down Soryn's spine. "And for what reason should I help you? Are you going to threaten me with bodily harm, or outright kill me if I refuse?" he spat. Soryn was absolutely livid. He tried his best to hide the trembling in his hands; they hadn't subsided after the vision he had. His other hand clutched his arm to try and stop the shaking. His nails dug into his flesh, as a small trickle of blood ran down his hand. "You'd at least have one less fighter. So I think you'd best give me a good reason as to why I should do as you say."

Soryn Éclaire - Town At the very sight of the wounded man, Soryn hissed, his fangs baring wide, his pupils dilating and turning red. He leapt back in fear, as what lay before him, was no one other than himself. Pierced through and through, with lances of light. His hair stood on ends, his nails extended into pointed blades, his mind racing in vehement denial. Even if he knew this was some form of mind manipulation, anything capable of doing so was dangerous beyond imagination. His eyes never let up from the imagery. Unknowingly, he had blinked at some point in time, and in that instant, the vision was over. It was nothing more than a wounded man. Nothing more... Sweat ran down his brow, as his labored breathing slowly steadied itself. "Hallucination? Mind Control? Premonition?" Soryn's mind raced, as it ran through the possibilities. No matter how he tried to rationalize it, he couldn't find a proper explanation. In his hundreds of years of life (or undeath), he had not experienced such fear. And then, the man spoke. Magna Sigyl - Outside the castle The castle slowly came to a halt, as did Magna's conversation with Snow. It seemed wherever the castle was being directed, they had reached their destination. Originally, she had wanted to continue talking with Snow, but the commotion outside was simply too chaotic to ignore. With her curiosity getting the better of her, she walked outside to see what was going on. At first, she didn't know what everyone was freaking out about, until her eyes fell upon the wounded... man? S-skeleton... undoubtedly... it was herself. Next to her, appeared to be a... human? Staring at the person, her feet went cold. Her mind was in a state of confusion. What she saw before her eyes, was Magna's soul being dragged out of her. What human was capable of such a feat? Her head ached, the more she stared at the human. She seemed so familiar, but she couldn't place her finger on it. She wanted to study her assailant's face longer, but the vision proved to be too much, as Magna's mind temporarily shut off it's reception in defense. She wasn't aware of it doing so, but it was a fail-safe in case a reaper should have gone AWOL. Something she was never informed of, when she became a reaper. It was a temporary lapse of unconsciousness, but Magna soon woke up to the sound of the man's voice. It asked a question, but she was still too addled to process it.

"Then that's fine then. I'm sure Kagarin will eventually warm up to you with time. Or perhaps cool down, in your case," Magna said with no regret. "Forgive me, a girl's got to have some secrets, am I right?" Magna said playfully. She grimaced a little at the lack of restraint Snow showed with her grip. Either she didn't know the meaning of "gentle", or this was actually her restraining herself. She hoped that despite Snow's armored hand, the point would get across. "I hope you understand my reasons for doing so, as my kind aren't quite... welcome, in many circumstances. Also, I'm technically not supposed to be fooling around like this, but I was brought here out of thin air, as it seems like the rest of us were. Maybe the universe has a sense of humor."
-
Magna's skull clattered hollowly, as it mimicing laughter. "Ahahaha~ I guess you saw right through me, huh?" Magna said, cracking a smile. How perceptive! Though she couldn't say the same for herself. Magna still couldn't discern what the frost emanating from Snow's helmet meant. "The main topic I want to ask, of course, is if there might be anything you might have done to Kagarin before? Perhaps you've met? She seemed to have an averse reaction to seeing you." Magna streched, making a cracking sound with her bones. She didn't feel stiffness, of course, but Magna found it to be an amusing gesture. Kagarin had told her that she wasn't good with armor, and that she had nothing personally against Snow, but Magna thought it wouldn't hurt to be certain. "Not that I mean to place blame, or anything, but I do have some concern for Kagarin's well-being," Magna said in a soft tone. She extended her hand for a handshake. "Though I do wish to get to know you better. Shall we shake hands? Oh, but do be gentle~ I'm rather delicate~"
-
Before Magna could perform any action of her own, the battle ended quite abruptly. Not that she was complaining. She shrugged, following the party inside of the corridor, that lead to a grand hall. It appeared to be a castle of old; something that was outdated and left unused back in her world. It was still fascinating to be inside of one, regardless. As the others were marveling at their new surroundings, Magna stole off to the side, inspecting the potion she was given. Uncorking the bottle, she carefully let a single drop touch her finger. Whatever the contents were, it proved to still have restorative properties on her. A video game she had played back in her world had potions injure the undead when applied to them. Had it been a medicinal potion, it would have no effect on her. After confirming it's effects, she corked the potion, stowing away the concotion into her cloak. She eyed where Snow was, and went over to her. Magna didn't get the opportunity to get to know Snow better after their first encounter. "Hi Snow! How are you! Any injuries from that last fight? I figured you might want my potion, given that they don't work on me," Magna lied. In truth, she was just using the potion as an excuse to start up a conversation. She staggered a bit, as the castle had begun to move, before regaining her balance. "Fascinating."

Magna Sigyl (23/31 HP) "This is what happens when I have to go to the frontline," Magna grumbled. The armor's attack had cracked a few of her ribs, but thankfully, she didn't have biological functions for that to matter. Apparently, after the armor had been destroyed, something seemed to have emerged from it. Another heartless. A tiny one, at that. At this point in time, Magna didn't care what it was, so long as it could fight for her. And if not, then she would gladly bunt the critter. Into the sun. "I knew I should've become a lawyer, but no, Abraham just had to make me into an undead reaper." Her grumbling aside, Magna readied her scythe, wanting to get the fight over with. Rosalvya glanced in the distance, more enemy reinforcements appearing on the horizon. It was clear that the western party was beginning to become overwhelmed in numbers. With no other objectives for her group at the moment, she decided that it might be prudent to join the others to take down the enemy commander. At the very least, they could prevent the eastern reinforcements from flanking them at the same time. They couldn't keep up the offense forever, as Anna, Serene, and herself were already wearing thin from fighting already. Vulneraries could only keep them afloat for so long. "Saffron, when you find the chance, please take Anna with you and go ahead to join the others. It looks like they could start using the help. We'll catch up with you later," said Rosalvya. She then directed her attention over to Dash and the girl, and smirked. "Dash, I'm glad you're getting along well with your new friend, but we're going to be leaving. There's nothing left for us here." All the while, Rosalvya kept an eye on the pegasus rider in front of Anna, watching for any sudden movements. She wouldn't allow herself to be surprised by the opponent, even while talking. "Also... Meredith, Serene, the two of you have been awful quiet all of a sudden. Is something the matter?"

"Aw boo~" Magna pouted, as the armor failed to rise to her command. She would have to remember that the laws of life and death are governed differently depending on the universe and its corresponding guardians. Entities like those suits of armor didn't exist in her world, and instead could be governed by magic instead of soul embodiment. She could almost hear her superior yelling at her now, for not learning her job properly. Magna took a quick assessment of the area around her, the clamor of battle filling the air. She didn't know what the deal was with the robotic machine and how they were having so much trouble, but it was nevertheless their objective in coming here. "Ah, how I wish I had something else to do this for me. Instead I'm stuck on the front lines." Reave Robot Arm L

For what it was worth, Magna's efforts seemed to have done something. Her strike had managed to make at least a meaningful dent (or so she'd like to believe) in the suit of armor, as the armor started to show some signs of wear. Just a little more, and they could start to see some meaningful progress. With as much renewed vigor as a skeleton could have, Magna redoubled her efforts to see the armor fall. With any luck, she would be able to bring it under her control. Reave Suit of Armor A If Suit of Armor A dies before Magna's turn, use Reanimate the Dead instead.

With Serene in a reasonably safe position, Rosalvya decided it was time to move up to the front lines. With enemy reinforcements in the distance, they couldn't take their time any longer. For the moment, it seemed like the former captive would fight with them. She couldn't complain, as there was certainly strength to be had in numbers. Moving up beside Anna, Rosalvya stood by, waiting for a good opportunity. Move to X9, equip Iron Blade and hold

Magna spun her scythe with a flourish, preparing herself for combat. She eyed the suit of armor, deeming that to be the best target for her to attack right now. She was well aware of how weak her physical capabilities were compared to the others, but she would at least try and hold her own. If the insignificant enemies were taken care of, the stronger of her allies could focus on destroying the machine spawning Heartless faster. With her decision made, Magna stopped twirling her scythe, and winded back before delivering a blow to the suit of armor. Reave (1d10 + INT) on the suit of armor

Upon closer inspection, the building they were near appeared to be a jailhouse. Given the layout of the environment around them, it probably acted as a temporary containment chamber until prisoners could be escorted to a proper city jail. Rosalvya moved closer to the building, trying to see what Dash was looking at. It was too dark to see what was inside the building, but there were a pair of hands clinging to the bars. She had seen Serene momentarily pause, most likely to converse, before moving around the side of the building, where she suffered an egregious wound to her thigh. There must have been an enemy lurking around the corner of the building. "Saffron, do you have a moment?" Rosalvya said, trying to grab her attention. "Serene doesn't seem to be doing so well, could you take her off Meredith's hands and bring her closer to us? I feel like Serene's pushing herself too much." With that said, Rosalvya's attention returned to the jailhouse, curiously trying to get a better view of the cell's occupant. Move to Z6 and Hold

"If it comes... to it... we will," Felis said. His tone was cold, indicating he was fully aware of what he was saying, and what he intended to do. "If they cannot... make it back... we will meet... with the others." "Retreating is not... wrong. " Felis said with as confident as a tone as he could muster. "I am... weak. Scared. I know I cannot... win. So I will run. I will live... and fight when I am... stronger." Felis stared on ahead, hoping for more of the others to arrive, and to escape. After the explosion, all was eerily silent. The fighting from before had quieted down, leaving Felis only to wonder who had won. Or if a victor had been decided at all. "But the least... I can do... is keep the tunnel free of... rubble. So that the others... still have a route... to escape," Felis said adamantly. "And if all goes... wrong... I will collapse the tunnel... behind me. It will at least... buy time for... the others. Now go. Before it is... too late." "If... you can do so... without getting yourself... in harm's way... then I will agree," Felis said. "But if you cannot... then I would not... have you waste... Marius and Aqui... and the others'... efforts. I would want... all of you... to run." -

"What... is going on... out there?" Felis asked Alison with concern. He remained seated, his calm disposition unwavering. His eyes were still trained on the entrance to the auditorium, ready to bolt into the escape tunnel at the first sight of their enemy. Oddly, the flames had receded, following by a large explosion that shook the area around them. Was this Rame's doing? He couldn't tell anything from his position. Even without the flames, the auditorium continued to crumble, threatening to give in at any moment. There were still others out there; Rame, Aqui, Marius, and a few of the others who ran back from the tunnel. Who could tell how much longer the building would last? He himself would have to retreat, collapsing the tunnel behind him if necessary. "How many... are left outside?" -

The atmosphere erupted into a haze of smoke and flames; the sheer heat of everything making it a struggle to even breathe. For what it was worth, Felis stayed low, trying to avoid inhaling too much smoke. He sat down, overseeing the entrance of their escape route. "Ah... this is... the worst..." he said, his voice hoarse from the heat drying up his throat. He knew he had signed himself up for this, but... the actual realization of the danger they were in was terrifying. The entity out there was on par, if not greater than Marius and Aqui. From that alone, it was undoubtedly someone on the same level as a Coerator, if not one itself. The building had caught fire, threatening to completely collapse in on itself. A wooden beam directly above Felis had already crumbled, threatening to crush him and their only escape route. Raising his greatsword above his head, he channeled his Lumen, giving him enough power to sweep the falling debris away with ease. For those who were brave enough to stall time for the others to escape, or foolish enough to believe that they could take on whatever was out there, Felis stood by, making sure that there was still an escape route waiting for them. It was at moments like these, that Felis felt completely helpless. He knew a losing battle when he saw one. In all honesty, his instincts were telling him to flee as fast as he could; the other swordsman who escaped ahead had the right idea. He didn't know how the others were so brave, in that they could face off against a monster with a presence like that. His legs would've refused to move towards Li. He would not join the fight however, but so long as there were those who still planned on doing, he didn't plan on running away either. The flames of battle raged all around him, as he sat. Waiting. "Come back... safely..." -
"In the end, we're the ones left with the heavy lifting," Magna sighed, as she batted away one of the smaller Heartless with her scythe. Magna kept walking at a casual pace, with no real urgency to her stride. The small ones, at least, didn't seem to be that strong. Magna wanted to conserve her energy as much as possible, given that the only thing about these creatures were their numbers, which didn't seem to dwindle no matter how many of them they cleared. Somehow she had imagined their journey to be more exciting, but it was nothing but clearing small fry at this point in time. But perhaps there was an end-boss lying ahead in wait for them! As that thought crossed her mind, her mood immediately perked up, her step suddenly having a step to it. "Come on Kagarin~ Snow~ H.K.~ Adventure awaits us!" Another of the smaller Heartless lunged at her, but she swung her scythe in a wide arc behind her, eliminating it from existence. She really wanted to find a proper minion. A strong one, preferably, as these cannon-fodder simply weren't going to cut it.

"Well, if you say you're going to be okay, I'll take your word for it, Kagarin. I'm going to head inside, but feel free to take your time if you need to. I'll make sure to grab you if Leon starts his briefing," said Magna. To be honest, she was still a little worried for Kagarin, but for now Magna would give her some space. She headed back inside to where Snow and Hiroki were, just as Snow started looming over Hiroki. "Whatcha up to, you two? Peering into each others souls?" she joked. Quite a few people have already gathered in this building. At this point, she couldn't tell who was missing or not. "Kagarin's just out to get some air. She tends to get these weird bouts of claustrophobia, do forgive her~"
-
"And I'm Magna," she said, distracted. She was glad Kagarin was feeling better, but that didn't solve the problem. It simply wouldn't do if Kagarin was always going to be on edge around Snow. But what could she do? She wracked her brain for a solution, but was coming up with nothing. "I'll figure something out." She turned to face Kyle, a newcomer to their group. With how large their group had become, it was hard to keep track of who had joined recently, or who was in the second group they ran into. It was even harder to put a name to a face, as she hadn't talked to most of them either. For now, gathering more information would be a good way to obtain a better grasp on their current situation. "I haven't seen you around before, Kyle. Are you one of the local inhabitants? Or were you unexpectedly brought to this world, like the rest of us?"
