I was under the impression that we all joined as peers, considering being in the Misguided Children is assumably voluntary and that Samwell isn't secretly blackmailing us all. Rosalvya does respect Meredith and would take advice from her, but I'm not sure she'd actually obey "orders". I actually hadn't thought of, or "realized" Meredith as the unit leader until about halfway through, and even then, Rosalvya still views everyone as peers fighting for the same goal. Certainly not the most earth shattering of details, but flavor texttttttttttt omnomnomnom

I always figured Samwell was drunk one night, being like "ha ha let's put all these people in one group and see what happens", and the fact that we complete missions successfully convinced him to permanently make us into a group I always figured he was sent back to base camp in Laguna Bay to work there. Adriaen will forever be in our hearts, just never to be seen again.

Rosalvya had been on edge, as they neared the check point. She didn't think it would be possible for them not to recognize Saffron. But before her concern could be addressed, the silence was broken by Anna cracking the soldier's skull. It took a second for this to register, before Rosalvya was rendered speechless. "Maybe one day we'll solve things without fighting. Just look to the positives for now, Rosalvya, The positives...." she thought to herself, as she could hear Saffron's audible sigh. "You sure know how to make an entrance, Anna." she said with an uneasy smile. No use in regretting it now. Move to F3

"I have always wandered Dragao, so unfortunately I can't tell you anything about Caelum," she said regretfully. "Though if you're curious about it, Ecquis is from Caelum, and supposedly one of our other mages, Terrin is as well. It supposedly is a wondrous city of merchants and commerce. With a city like that, I'm hoping to find a blacksmith who can fix my sword properly."
-
"Ah- ahchoo!!" Rosalvya raised her arm up to cover her sneeze, and then wrapped her arms around her body to keep warm. Perhaps there was someone talking about her in the camp. "Pardon me. Perhaps I am beginning to catch a cold. Could we move our conversation closer to the fire, Serene? I think that would be preferably for the both of us." She made a gesturing motion towards the campfire, where Feri seemed to have finished cooking supper. A pleasant aroma drifted through the air, as one could not help but be drawn towards it. "It seems like Feri has made some delicious stew," she noted. "Have you ever been to Caelum, Serene? It would seem like you would be just at home there."

"I don't see why you have to apologize, Serene. The faster our damsel in distress could be saved, the better," she joked, referring to Radburn. Rosalvya let out a small laugh, as she lay witness to Radburn's bravado. "Though I'm afraid I'm in agreement with Serene. The defeat of one opponent is not worth the loss of your weapon." It was a wonder how this man had survived for this long with that mindset of his. "Though, if I might ask, what made the both of you decide to join us?" she asked with concern. She wasn't sure if Meredith had explained the true nature of their group to the newcomers, and what they were getting themselves into. "Our journey will be nothing short of dangerous."

"For me, it wasn't a matter of a superior weapon or not. As a child, I needed something easy to wield to defend myself on the road, and it just so happened that my savior imparted his sword to me," she said, once again moving her hand to the handle of her iron sword. With every swing, she could feel the sword wear down, and no matter how well she maintained it, time would soon prove to be the victor. "I had no access to lances, or any other weapon, not to mention they would be too heavy for me to wield. With enough practice, even other swordsmen said that I had potential. So I stayed with the sword." The sword was the only weapon for her. She would wield it proudly, and protect the life she had been spared. "In any case, welcome to our little group Radburn," she said cordially. "If you ever need a sparring partner, let me know. I'd love to see the technique you're so proud of."
-
Rosalvya stifled a giggle, clearly bemused by Radburn's enthusiasm. There was only one other in their band with his kind of spirit, and it was quite welcome in spite of the recent events. "Very well," she said, indulging him as she too, displayed her sword arm. It was apparent that Radburn was physically stronger of the two, but that didn't seem to bother her in the slightest. "Though I may have to correct you on an incorrect notion you seem to have. For I, will be the one to claim the title of the best swordmaster in the world."

Rosalvya sat quietly by the fire, continuing to knit her scarf. Of course, where they were going, there would be no need for such outerwear. The mere act of it alone was something to pass the time, and soothe the nerves when she wasn't practicing the sword. She smiled, listening intently to the chatter of her allies. The way they all smiled and spoke made the events of a couple days ago seem like they hadn't happened. She was impressed with their mental fortitude. Or perhaps they couldn't forget. She make a mistake in her knitting, as she heard an unfamiliar loud voice. For a man who survived on the brink of death, he seemed spirited enough. She put down her knitting to go greet the newcomers. Meredith seemed rather receptive to the both of them, so they couldn't be bad people. "It's good to see that both of you are well. My name is Rosalvya, a swordswoman of this group," she said, introducing herself to Radburn and Serene. "I'd like to thank both of you for your assistance in clearing out those creatures."
-
"I'm glad we found the cause of what was raising those... creatures. I don't remember what happened after I started to attack... Ignexus, was it? He casted some poisonous spell, but I don't remember anything after that." she said hazily. She tried to remember, but her head just ached. "It's a little difficult for me to breathe still, so I'll go and see Mayanna later and see if she can help me." She felt like she was also forgetting something towards the end, but she couldn't quite place what it was. "Have Saffron and the others decided our next move yet?

Rosalvya awoke abruptly to the commotion that was going on. She recoiled in disgust, as the first thing that came to her was the stench of decaying corpses. She couldn't quite clearly remember what had happened, but it looked like they won the battle. But why did everyone look so crestfallen? She scanned the area, locating each of her allies. It appeared all of them were accounted for, including the previously injured soldier. His condition seemed to have stabilized in the time that she was unconscious, Some of them were gathering firewood, and piling it around the church. Rosalvya inferred that they were cremating the bodies, but why inside a church? Wouldn't that count towards some kind of sacrilege? On top of that, of all people, Hoshiko was the one preparing to burn it down. Confused, she slowly got up, and walked towards Ecquis to try and get an explanation. "Um, Ecquis?" she said, trying to get his attention. "What's happening here? We... won, right?"
-
As soon as Rosalvya completed the full arc of her swing, she collapsed immediately. Perhaps it was due to exhaustion, or the lingering effects of Ignexus' magic. "It looks like you'll survive again, kiddo." A familiar voice. A warm voice. "It's too early for you to meet me, so rest up. Your journey's only just begun." "...?" Everything faded away, as Rosalvya fell unconscious.

As Rosalvya struck the creature, her blade didn't find flesh. Instead, Ignexus counterattacked with his magic. She could feel the fumes enter her body, making every breath feel like her lungs were on fire. She was way in over her head. But it was too late to back out now. She would rather die than turn her back on this opponent. The fumes seemed to affect her vision, as her sight became blurry, and eventually gave out. Undeterred, she swung out, unable to find her target. The fumes returned once more, stronger than before. Proving to be too much for her, she collapsed on the ground, unable to hear anything that Ignexus had said. Everything was dark. She could no longer feel anything. Was she dead? "Everything is so dark..." she croaked. "I feel so... alone." It wasn't long, before she felt her body being repaired. She felt air rush back into her body, her heart continuing to beat. She opened her eyes, but everything was still blurry. "This must be Mayanna's doing." "Thank you... Mayanna," she croaked. She knew she would cause more trouble by going back into the fight, but if Mayanna was here, then the others weren't too far behind. She would at least buy time for her allies to catch up. Standing back up, she clutched her sword in her hand, and swung instinctively at where Ignexus should be. End Ignexus' life
