Version 10 | Remember, I love You / Where Love Lies
Autumn Zephyr replied to Jan's topic in Rejuvenation
I don't know where it goes all the way through the quest, but its final location's in Akuwa Town now. Not sure if that actually helps or not, though.- 493 replies

...I completely forgot about the Quick Claw. Oops. On the flipside, a Lv. 33 manectric with almost maxed Speed EV's is still slower than it, which is fairly helpful knowledge. I'll let you guys know if that's still the end result once it hits the cap.

You can, though- you just need to have Rare Candies on hand to pull it off. The changes do make Reverse Candies even more niche than they were before, though, so there's that.- 493 replies

Version 10 | Remember, I love You / Where Love Lies
Autumn Zephyr replied to Jan's topic in Rejuvenation
There already are time cycles, though. Various things change in the overworld at different points in time, certain pokemon evolve only during certain hours, there's a secret boss that can only be challenged only after talking to them at all three time categories beforehand... They just don't affect what's in the grass.- 493 replies

I mean, there are times when no music is what's needed to set the mood- heck, Pokemon's done it before, and for a boss battle, no less! That said, if you really think something's off musically, feel free to post it in the Bug Reporting thread. The eye looking icon on the post UI wraps everything highlighted in a Spoiler Tag, so that can help avoid spoiling anyone who hasn't gotten to those scenes yet.- 493 replies

Autumn Zephyr replied to Jan's topic in Rejuvenation
I believe that there isn't one, since there was nothing wrong with it in the first place. I know for a fact that the Where Love Lies patch doesn't have one, at least, since I had to go through my Recycle Bin to restore it myself.- 493 replies

Autumn Zephyr replied to Jan's topic in Rejuvenation
It's not that they no longer gain experience period, but that they stop gaining experience once they've hit the current level cap. Jan has explained why they opted to take this path (Copy and Pasted from the V10 Development Blog): I never personally never had a run-in with the cap in V9 (I usually had the opposite problem), but I have watched a playthrough that regularly crossed the cap despite never doing any of the sidequests, and I gotta agree with Jan here: it didn't seem quite as annoying to deal with as it is in the main games, which kinda defeats the purpose in the first place. That's just my two cents on the matter, though- I'm sure everyone has differing opinions, after all!- 493 replies

Off The Beaten Path: Where Love Lies [Written Run]
Autumn Zephyr replied to Commander's topic in Rejuvenation
Woah, woah, woah, there! I was not expecting you to try and tackle this so soon! Where Love Lies focuses quite a bit on some of the reveals from V10 (starting at Ch. 2), so be forwarned on that front. I am curious about how it'll look to someone who hasn't gotten that far in the main game, though, so I'll leave it up to you to decide on what to do from here. As for why Kenneth's lucario is shiny, well... There, I commented! Now where's that subscribe button? -

The jackpot starters have been removed entirely from the starter machine, unfortunately. Best not waste your time trying to find one in V10.- 493 replies

They're right after the choice is made. If you're back in Sheridan, it's already too late.

Meditite are freely available wilds in Amethyst Cave. Well, they were in V9, but I see no reason why that would've changed.

Anyone knows what the totem is for in Keta's run?
Autumn Zephyr replied to Lord C's topic in Rejuvenation
You mean the one in the mansion? I'm fairly certain that's just leftover from when Kanon tried to crash the cult meeting in the main game, seeing as it's right behind a cooled off lava pit. As such, I personally doubt that there's any sidequest associated with it myself. -
There were indeed, but that doesn't seem to be viable anymore- according to Azeria, Decimation now has an in-built Mold Breaker effect, ala Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam. That makes it even harder to cheese the fight, to say the least!

Ren Faires, you say? I've been to a couple of those myself. They can be quite entertaining, even when you don't have any cash to spend while you're there~! Anywho, welcome to these fine forums! Feel free to check out all we have to offer, stay in line with the rules (that shouldn't be too hard, methinks), and above all, enjoy your stay!

Struggle's a bit of an anomaly in general, so I really can't answer there. Since it no longer does anything helpful for it, I suppose the yveltal's no longer holding a Life Orb? It would be pretty silly if it still were, though it would make the fight slightly more manageable.

It is, at long last. Head towards the redesigned Wispy Tower, take a right before walking into the tower itself, and follow the path to the very end. Do note that you'll need Strength to actually get it, though!

I mean, that's one of the few lines I like across the board, albeit for different reasons, so... there's that. Dusknoir looks cool, is fun to draw (in my opinion), and has a fairly memorable character in the Mystery Dungeon games. Dusclops has one a spot in my heart as the surprise MVP on my sun team in XD, which had neither the Reaper Cloth or the Eviolite, so I can attest that it holds well on its own. Duskull's also fun to draw and fairly cute, especially since it actually waves when it uses Shadow Wave. As far as what I've seen on this site in particular, a *lot* of people had been bugging Jan about adding the Reaper Cloth to Rejuvenation for their dusclops, so I don't think that dusknoir's all that impacted by the existence of the Eviolite in the casual world. That's just my two cents on the matter, though! Edit: A quick look at Smogon reveals that dusknoir and Eviolite dusclops are actually in the same tier (PU), which is pretty surprising. I can't be the only one who expected one to be over the other, right?

Hmm, that certainly disrupts my intended strategy for the thing. Disappointing, but not entirely unexpected.

Actually, that's the song used when you encounter Team Skull Grunts in the overworld. (Disregard this statement; I went back to double check my info, and it seems I was wrong on that front. It's still not Glitch's, though- I double checked that once I realized that I was in the wrong. I'll leave the rest of the post intact, though, for posterity's sake) Don't worry about missing that, though- as overlooked as a game's soundtrack is, the "Encounter!" themes were especially forgotten pieces, to the point where all generic trainers share an encounter theme in the Alola games. Prior to that, Hikers had a different song from Youngsters, which in turn was different from Ace Trainers, Psychics, and Swimmers. It was one of my favorite small details in the older games, though I understand why it was dropped. That said, I do agree that this one is horribly misused. It portrays the Xen Executives as goofy and incompetent from the get go, which is especially jarring when even the first one summons a corrupted gyarados to try and get you out of the way- that's about as far from incompetent as you can get! And you know what? It doesn't stop there. It doesn't stop there at all. The DexNav has a jukebox app, which contains most of the game's soundtrack specifically for your listening pleasure. What's particularly notable about this is that the pieces are titled based off of how they're used in-game or the ambiance it's attempting to produce. Gearen City's theme, for example, is called Mood~ Dark City, the songs that play during the Maria segment at the very beginning of the game are Feeling~ Enigmatic and Citamgine~ Gineelf (one of them is the reverse of the other, after all), the character creation theme is Keep Marching On!, so on and so forth. You know what that song is called in the Jukebox? ...Yeah. That really doesn't help with portraying the bad guys as imposing figures at all! Aside from that, I'm very much on the same boat as Dreamblitz here- something typically has to be really bad for me to really pick up on it. Your review has brought up a lot of points I never would've thought to contemplate, which I'd say is a really good point of the review. I'm pretty curious about what you'll think about the game post Blacksteeple, of course, but I'm certainly not gonna rush anything- you clearly put a lot of thought into the first half or so, and it's gonna take a good chunk of time to analyze the rest of the game in a similar fashion. Good luck on the rest of your endeavors!
