  1. >Definitely Physically oriented Well, that rules out the Reborn-only Pledgemaker set. You're probably gonna want to change its nature to Adamant, first and foremost. You're not gonna need that Sp. Attack at all, and being -Atk. is a problem in that situation. With Level-up moves alone, you have access to Iron Head (anti-Fairy flinching move), the Elemental fangs (they're... stronger than the respective Hidden Power and have a 20%chance of doing something in addition to damage, at least), Crunch (bop those Ghosts and Psychics), X-Scissor (shred through Grass, Dark, and... Psychic Types), and Multi-Attack. Keep in mind that if you decided to change silvally's Type, Multi-Attack will change to match, and thus always get STAB- handy for when you're a Type that you have no physical moves for (like Water). TM's net you access to Shadow Claw (trade Crunch's chance to lower the target's Defense for an increased crit. rate), Return (should easily reach a point where it's your best STAB if you decided to keep it as a Normal Type), Aerial Ace (never miss again!), and Flame Charge (doesn't deal a whole lot of damage, but it does raise your Speed a bit to use your Flinching moves with). With Move Tutors, you can add Zen Headbutt to give a Fliching move of another Type if you want to go all-in on that path. The biggest factor when deciding on the build will probably be the Type (or Types) you want it to be. A silvally that's going to spend of its time as a Dark Type might not want to carry around Multi-Attack due to having Crunch already, and certainly won't be using Shadow Claw on the side (since Ghost and Dark have the same SE spread... for some stupid reason). Similarly, a Fairy silvally isn't going to want to run Multi-Attack, Zen Headbutt, and Aerial Ace, since that'd leave it with three moves that hit Fighting Types specifically for SE for no real reason. Ultimately, you should consider the rest of your team make-up for making this particular choice.
  2. waitaminute, waitaminute, waitaminute... You mean to tell me that you've been giving away Best Pooders for months, and I had no idea the entire time?! Guess you could say that my Spider Sense was not tingling! ...Anyone? Noone? Welp, I tried. Anyway, I'd like to adopt one of the little ones, please! Assuming that Mr. Knightly doesn't take the last of the brood, of course.
  3. Note to self: going through Amaria's Gym on the Reshiram Route for the first time is not good therapy from having your childhood ruined. Wait- it's too late for that now! 🙀

  4. @seki108 Wait, I'm not the only one who refuses to use those things? That makes me feel a little bit better about myself. Anyway, my first shiny was a pink wooper in Diamond. I had no idea what a shiny was at the time, but unlike all the horror stories you hear about that scenario, I caught it anyway. Said game then proceded to be my most lucrative official game to date, adding an abra (which naturally panicked me a bit), machop, starly, golbat, and floatzel over the course of my entire time playing that game. My Emerald unfortunately didn't give me any shinies before the battery died (maybe should try to mess with the broken RNG a bit?), but the Sapphire copy I borrowed for a Grass Monotype run netted me a spinda wo seemed to think that being green was all one need to become part of the team, and the most awkwardly timed loudred (I was grinding for the Elite 4, and had stated out loud that I only needed to kill one more loudred for my sceptile to level up when she appeared; that was also the first time I chucked a Master Ball at a non-legendary pokemon- didn't want to risk a Roar). Oddly, neither my Black or my Black 2 have netted me any shinies whatsoever yet. It's only a matter of time, though. My first failed shiny was a diglett in Rejuvenation... which was how i found out about the Cave field's OHKO clause. Needless to say, I was not pleased at the time.
  5. It really does depend on the pokemon. Mono-Typed pokemon are pretty much forced to go for coverage since only having a single STAB option means that they're easily walled otherwise (though pokemon like wobuffet and pyukumuku serve as exceptions to that rule). Similarly, Ghost/Dark pokemon are usually better off leaving one of their STAB's untapped, since both Types have the exact same SE spread and are both resisted by Dark (bonus points: prior to Gen. 6, they were both resisted by Steel as well). On the other hand, Fighting/Ice Typed pokemon would be foolish not to go Dual STAB, since the pair hits every single Type for at least neutral damage, with half of them getting thwacked for SE. And since most (if not all) of the specific Type combinations that manage to resist it are part Ghost or Psychic, these pokemon only need to pack a Ghost or Dark Type move of their own to perfect their coverage, with the last moveslot being free for whatever it wants. Honestly, if crabominable had been built as a glass cannon rather than a tank, it would be a genuinely terrifying pokemon to face off against. Generally, though, I tend to run either all STABs+ a single coverage move and a status move, or all STABs+ full coverage options on my pokemon, so that they don't get completely screwed over if the team member that does have that Type as STAB goes down. I've found that it's a fairly helpful approach.
  6. I'm fairly certain that it's literally just "you've won, here's 18 Badges, now go find the Gatekeepers". Doing a massive tour of all the Gyms as the reward would A) kinda defeat the purpose and B) be pretty much impossible now with all the chaos the League itself is in (the Poison leader's a statue, the Water, Steel, and Rock leaders are all MIA in most peoples' eyes, the Dark spot is completely vacant, and League Manager is having a bit of a mental breakdown). Now, whether or not we get to be the final victor of the Tournament... that's the tricky part to figure out at this point. I'm expecting a bait and switch of some sort, personally, seeing as we've had two Gym Battles since the tournament was revealed. Edit: Actually, let's go ahead and try and pinpoint where all the Gym Leaders are at this point in the story.
  7. It probably says something about me that my reaction to the underwater portion of Amaria's Gym was "This is kinda my aesthetic".

And that i seem to say "it probably says something about me" a lot... 😅

  8. Anju's Pendant was the reward for hunting down the three hiding Maids in Indriad's manor all the way back at the third Gym, so... Whoops. Fortunately, we've got a few folks who have been putting the Pendant in peoples' inventories upon request, so all you gotta do is ask!
  9. There's the Online Play tab in the PokeGear you can use once you find someone willing to help ou with that (most folks around these parts will trade it back, from what I've seen). Alternatively, you can use a Link Stone on it to achieve the same effect without relying on a third party. In both cases, your seadra has to be holding the Dragon Scale when you go to evolve it.
  10. Building on some of the above, make sure your pichu hangs around in that stage long enough to learn Nasty Plot once/if you get it. Sure, both raichu are frail enough that you aren't always going to get a chance to set it up, but when you do get the chance it will be absolutely amazing! As for which way to evolve it, Alola!chu is available much earlier (the Apophyll Pancakes are for sale in Route 3) and comes packing an extra STAB at its disposal (and learns Psychic upon evolution to make use of it!), as well as having a little bit more firepower in terms of base stats. On the other hand, adding the Psychic Type's weaknesses gives it a few more vulnerabilities (the Bug Gym's especially nasty), those 5 base points in Sp. Attack come at the cost of 5 points in Defense (which can make setting up Nasty Plot even trickier), and unless you're building specifically for it, the Surge Surfer Ability is only going to be relevant in one fight. Kantonian raichu, on the other hand, doesn't come online until you get the Mining Kit after the fourth Gym, but that probably won't be such as big a deal to you if you choose to go that route: if anything, it gives you more of an incentive to carry pikachu up to Lv. 42 to learn Thunderbolt by level up (it'll be a while before you can teach it through other means, I believe). Having only one weakness and slightly higher Defense means that you can have a few more set up opportunities as well, and a single Nasty Plot can make up for the lack of Psychic STAB in most situations (do not that you're still unlikely to survive any oncoming Earthquakes). The big thing to take the slower path for, however, is the Abilities; or, rather, Ability. Sure, Static is likely to be relevant more often than Surge Surfer, but Lightningrod really goes that extra mile. Free immunity to Electric attacks? Protect your buddies from those Electric attacks? Get a free Sp. Attack increase every time you divert an Electric Attack?! This Ability alone is worth checking Kantonian Raichu out, I'd say. Both forms have their uses, so I'd say that you're probably want to consider the rest of your team before deciding. Besides, you have that dedenne to take up your Electric slot in the meantime! For the love of everything holy, make sure the meditite you catch has Pure Power as its Ability! If you're really worried about having your other pokemon hit it with an area attack, just make sure it keeps Detect in its moveset. That move alone has saved my bacon on several occasions even outside of Doubles, so there's absolutely no reason to gimp its offensive potential. This is assuming you actually catch one, of course. The following is a review of every relevant Poison Type available at your point in the game: Honestly, with a game like Rejuvenation, you're better off running Midday lycanroc rather than Midnight. Midnight simply doesn't gain enough bulk to take hits from most of the pair's threats, meaning that being able to strike first is more ideal in most scenarios. Dusk lycanroc would be the ideal, of course, but it isn't available in the game at all yet, so we gotta make do. it sucks, but those are the breaks you gotta make sometimes. (Alas, poor werewolf pupper, you were my favorite too) I'd reccomend picking up a Ghost Type at some point, most likely the next town- Curse and Destiny bond both go a long ways toward beating the single-foe bosses, after all. Duskull gives you a bulky pokemon that will be able to do some damage of its own once you have access to Strength, and misdreavus nets you a solid special sweeper (though one that'll likely get replaced once the ghatly and litwik sidequests open up). Shuppet gets special mention since the Banettite is one of the only two Mega Stones that are currently available, and pumpkaboo's Z-Trick-or-Treat shenanigans are pretty hilarious in my opinion, but... the Mega Z-Ring itself isn't available in the main game yet, so those points are kinda moot at the moment. Lastly, it is highly recommended that you catch a female phantump, even if you don't plan on using her. There's a kid on Route 3 who will trade you a mysterious Egg for a phantump one, and that thing has some pretty nice critters it can potentially hatch into. Mareenie is practically the queen of Toxic Spikers, chinchou is a decent enough tank that will always come with an HP-restoring immunity Ability (either Water or Volt Absorb), togepi becomes a solid Fairy/Flying Type notable for Serene Grace+Air Slash Flinch shenanigans, azurill gets you a Water/Fairy Type with Huge Power-boosted Play Rough at its disposal, aron is a solid (haha) physical tank, so long as you avoid having it take Earthquakes and Brick Breaks, trapinch is much more viable now that flygon can learn Dragon Dance, drilbur... is drilbur (I hear the thing's a beast, but I've never used it before, so...), cottonee is a solid support pokemon if you can get it with the Prankster Ability (Tailwind and Priority Nature Power are both very solid factors), zorua nets you a decent Special sweeper than can absolutely boggle the AI with the right pokemon it your last team slot (having it be something that's weak to Psychic is especially nasty), Defiant pawniard can make the enemy's attempts to weaken you turn you into an offensive powerhouse instead, and stufful... I'm not gonna comment on that one... Do keep in mind that whatever the Egg hatches into is randomly determined when you choose your starter, so you won't know whether you got something amazing or a darumaka until you do the trade. It's a bit of a gamble, no? Aaand, there goes my morning. Hopefully this tirade is helpful for ya, and good luck on your adventures in the Aevium Region~!
  11. Yeah, the Help Plaza does take a while to come online. Thankfully, Looker's quest is just a simple help request in terms of actually activating it! Unlike the other one...
  12. That's a bug that was present in V10's initial release, and has been removed as of Patch 2. It is highly recommended that you patch your game. Her bewear isn't named Snuggles anymore? Boo!
  13. I prefer dusk balls for utility, myself, though timer, beast, and (oddly enough) heal balls are also up there aesthetically-speaking. They're just trickier and significantly more unweildly to use in comparison!
  14. First off, I'm gonna have to be that fellow and point out that Rejuvenation has its own sub-forum. It's not the nicest thing for me to do, mayhaps, but it's bound to happen eventually. Right? As for your question... to say that there's been news would be quite the understatement! V10 dropped within the past tow months, and a huge number of bugs have already been patched out. Oh, and a side story surrounding Keta's out as well in the form of V-1. Enjoy~!
  15. This isn't something unique to Reborn. Reshiram's ability, Turboblaze, is effectively a glorified Mold Breaker, so defensive Abilities like Sturdy and Flash Fire don't work against its attacks. The same is true for Zekrom and its Teravolt.
  16. Further proof that I am not a man Ahem. I'm gonna go against the grain a little and suggest that you stick with Reborn-Style if you're playing casually. If you're video-memorializing it, though, than all these not-so lovely people would want to see the proof, of course.
  17. ...We had a 'clear formatting' button? Huh. Ah well, I'm not likely to use it anyway~!
  18. >Likes Fairies >Likes raichu (form not specified) Hmm, seems like you'd like a certain retype in Pokemon Clockwork, then! Wait, why am I advertising a game I've never played again? Anyway, welcome to these fair landless lands we call the Reborn Evolved Forums! Feel free to check out all we have to offer, and above all else, enjoy your stay~!
  19. Ohey, I finally figured out how to activate Status Updates! I coulda sworn I checked there before...

  20. The unique feature ones are the shiny versions. Really friggin' awesome shiny versions, at that!
  21. So, definitely not Cave, then? Personally, I prefer fields that can be manipulated without using one of the Terrain attacks or Pledges. Short-Circuit/ Factory is pretty entertaining in that regard (though perhaps a tad overused in-game at this point). I'm gonna have to say Dark Crystal, though. It's got some solid atmosphere on its own, sure, and the Field Notes for it make it seem like it's tailored toward necrozma of all things, but... it was the Gym Battle against Luna that really cemented it's spot for me. The time I beat her, the field had gone all the way through the Dark Crystal/Cave/Crystal cycle twice, before I was finally able to collapse the cavern on top of her malamar (I wasn't really able to deal with that thing otherwise once it got a Superpower or two off). If that ain't dynamic, I don't know what is!
  22. That feel when the school website is blocked on their own computers.
