  1. I reset games if I accidentally make someone upset. So joining up with mass murdering terrorists is right out.
  2. It should be noted that a 90% accurate move hitting twenty times in a row actually isn't that odd. It will happen approximately 12% of the time. As for the confusion, eh that's just a Pokemon thing. Confusion never EVER works if you are the one using it, while working every single fucking time your pokemon are confused. Similar to how freezing always wears off immediately if you freeze the opponent, but your Pokemon just sits there until it faints frozen solid. And of course the accuracy of Rock Slide being about 10% despite the displayed number being 90.
  3. I've looked at it a bit. Might get it when the problems have been ironed out. It would be hard to be worse than the last two years of actual Pokemon's content regardless of problems in the games. Might not though since I really am not a fan of the forced multiplayer aspect. I despise multiplayer games, and try to avoid them. If that wasn't a factor it would a definite game for me to at least try out in the future.
  4. You can grab a male Nidoran from the Game Corner, which if you fully evolve it will learn Earth Power at level 43. And it will get a boost off of Sheer Force. You can also grab an admittedly weak Numel in the rain if you haven't already. It gets Earth Power as well, and also has Lava Plume. Aya's Toxapex has the ability Merciless, which is always active under Wasteland terrain.
  5. Plot Twist. Its actually the MC saying it in their first, and only, dialogue in the entire game.
  6. Pokemon at its core is a heavily offensively focused game, its reflected in how the stats work, how damage is calculated, even looking at the move variety points to it. Attacking is in general a better idea than trying to tank. Yes there are tanks, no argument there, but each of them has to serve far more niche roles than heavily offensively oriented Pokemon. The last mostly defensive generation of Pokemon we've seen was Gen. II, and that was a vast number of mechanical changes ago. Its pretty natural that as such the fields would mostly be offensively oriented. And just as a note on gameplay, when you do get into a stall vs stall battle in Pokemon its a freaking nightmare. Toxapex vs Toxapex (which has happened to me once) is basically the single worst experience I had in Pokemon. For the four turns until I just gave up and moved on.
  7. Hidden Power's typing is determined by your Pokemon's IVs. You have to change those to change the Hidden Power typing.

    title required

Hmm...Saphira herself. Puzzle of the gym involves working out how to unlock the box so you can actually fight the gym leader. Perhaps requiring that you clear away the piles of gold. Presumably without just taking it all.
  9. what do you have in the PC? You're going to need to ditch both Cherrim and Klinklang against Charlotte minimum. Neither one of them should be anywhere near her.
  10. I like Titania. And fucking hate Bennet. Knock him down to F so far as I'm concerned. Also, Serra should definitely be bumped up at least too spots on difficulty. Sure she's easy if you know the trick to her field, but she's still way harder than Corey, Samson, Kiki, Noell, or Shade. Bump Shelly up one too. And Samson down two.
  11. This actually is fairly easy to explain with Episode 18 information. Lin's Hydreigon can be assumed to have gone through the process of giving it 252 EVs in every stat. A Hydreigon with 252 Sp. Def. Evs and 252 HP EVs will survive a Moonblast from a 252 Sp. A. Ninetales with a speedboosting nature 6% of the time. And Alolan Ninetales best set, the Aurora Veil one doesn't have 252 Sp. Attack EVs. It has 8. Under those conditions Hydreigon will never be OHKO'd by Moonblast. Then if Aurora Veil isn't up, which in this case I think is a safe assumption since there is no hail that we can see during the battle, Hydreigon will always OHKO Ninetales with its follow-up Flash Cannon.
  12. In addition to what others have said, you can also buy a Slugma and Nidoran from the Game Corner if you need to.

    An Intro!

Pssst... Use Nature Power. Tis good. Or use a sturdy Graveler with Magnitude to shatter those pesky mirrors and take her toys away. Don't do both of those things though. That won't work at all.
  14. The only crime of Budew is being Budew. This is also their punishment.
  15. Generate a random number from 1 to 18 and pick based on that. If I'm understanding you right at least.
  16. Alolan Ninetales because Snow Warning and Aurora Veil is great, Walrein with Toxic, Protect, Substitute, and Blizzard because screw people who want to have fun, Mamoswine with Ice Shard and Earthquake to deal with pesky whatevers. Glaceon has the strongest Blizzard possible, and has the bonus of being the bestest Pokemon of all time. Alolan Sandslash with Slush Rush can abuse the heck of of hail to smash the opponent with silliness. Frost Rotom has great stats and has Blizbolt to boot. Froslass is similar, but with a normal and fighting immunity tossed in. Abomasnow can be another good hail setter as well.
  17. Gen 1 - Nidoking Gen 2 - Scizor Gen 3 - Gardevoir Gen 4 - Glaceon (also favorite Pokemon overall) Gen 5 - Hydreigon Gen 6 - Aegislash Gen 7 - Naganadel Gen 8 - Haven't played, but Corviknight on aesthetics.
  18. I feel this is irrelevant, as is the ultimate late-game power, hence why I ranked Greninja so low and think Serperior shouldn't be high either. What I mean is that this is fundamentally about starters, so IMO should focus on the early game, with some look at the mid-game. So no later than Aya. The Starter Pokemon is a beginning tool. Like Kricketune, which I'd straight up give A+ tier for its power in the early game even if its awful by Corey. Once you're getting out of the city the starter isn't needed to buff up your team anymore like its so useful for at first. So by the time there are vastly better options, well okay then. Pokemon lose relevance as you go forward in the game. Should Charizard be on your team by the time you're at the Circus? Probably not if we're being honest. But at the start is incredibly useful. Note: all of this is assuming a ranking on power, nothing more. You want to use Charizard the whole game (or Kricketune, or literally ANYTHING else) go right ahead, you do you.
  19. ...hm...not sure. I've never used either one (I have a general thing about not using Pokemon my rivals use), so I don't know how good those two are. And I didn't comment on them due to that. Just considering the stats though, I doubt it. Especially Incineroar (though that might have something to do with me not liking physical fire types). Greninja does at least have great speed, while both Incineroar and Primarina have...basically no speed actually. And Greninja does at least have a good enough attack and special attack stat to let it be a mixed attacker. So maybe an A then. A bit worse than Charizard, but better than those two (at least in theory, since never used either).
  20. Link stones just evolve a Pokemon that needs to be traded without actually trading. Anything else you have to do to evolve the Pokemon must still be done. Ex, to evolve Scyther you make it hold a metal coat, then use a link stone to get Scizor. And you have the moves thing backwards. Stones don't remove the ability of Pokemon to learn moves by level up. Pokemon that evolve by stones just don't learn moves as they gain levels. The move pools are a programmed thing. The stones have nothing to do with it.
  21. IMO both Charizard and Typhlosion should be bumped up at least one tier. Charizard I'd actually move up two. Flame Burst from Charmeleon is amazing in the early forest fields that you fight in, since it completely negates the field and turns it against the opponent. And against Corey it lets you suicide attack any of his Pokemon should it be necessary on that path. And Dragon Rage on Charmander will be a powerful tool until at least Florinia. Typhlosion is less useful, but at least still has lava plume by the early 40s, letting it do similiar field based shenanigans. Though I could also see an argument for leaving it where it is. Blastoise knocked down at least one. Though, Blastoise might honestly be worse than Meganium early game since at least Bayleef won't be one hit ko'd if any of Julia's Pokemon look at it funny, and resists Florinia as well. Wartortle has neither advantage. And...Greninja needs to be bumped down too. Don't get me wrong, Greninja is good. Very good. I have one in my full playthrough of the last several episodes. But early game its not amazing like some of the others. Its level up movepool sucks until it is fully evolved, and the lack of TMs early game mean you can't abuse Protean enough to get major use out of it. IMO Infernape and Swampert are better than Greninja AS A STARTER. Solid B IMHO. Serperior meanwhile is powerful, but until you get leaf storm to spam its meh, and its hidden ability can be downright bad you're not careful. Like Greninja its not very good as a starter IMO. Feraligatr I'm unsure on. On the one hand it does have powerful physical moves to use in Crunch and Ice Fang. But it doesn't get a decent physical STAB move until well past the Circus, which again limits its viability as a starter, which as with Blastoise isn't helped by being weak to both Julia and Florinia. Though at least it will be able to hit Florinia's Pokemon with Ice Fang, so its not Squirtle levels of bad.
