I agree that this battle is really hard but its certainly doable, and yes Misty Terrain is likely bugged so gotta pray to RNG god for that lovely kiss to miss or just get a chesto berry Granted i did this battle with my mono steel team when i first fight it so it might be harder on other teams cus mine is easier in terms of dealing damage, but i will share the strategy This is My Team: Excavalier (Shell Armor) (Magical Seed) Move: Iron Head, Sword Dance, X scissors, Iron Defense Durant (Hustle) (Magical Seed) Move: Iron Head, X Scissors, Slash and Burn, T Wave Magnezone (Sturdy) (Chesto Berry) Move: Flash Cannon, T wave, Discharce, Double Team Togedemaru (Sturdy) (Chesto Berry) Move: Zing-Zap, Iron Head, Spiky Shield, electric terrain A-Dugtrio (Sand Force) (Muscle Band) Move: Iron Head, Dig, EQ, Sucker Punch Bastiodon (Sturdy) (Chesto Berry) Move: Taunt, Heavy Slam, Rock Slide, Metal Burst Note: - The AI will ALWAYS use Lovely Kiss on Sturdy pokemon, but when you held a berry she will switch tactics and immediately attacks so give your sturdy pokemon a Chesto Berry so that you can eat those hits, the shop in the city sells Sitrus and Chesto berries so you can get it there - Magical Seed will activate Trick Room for 5 turns (8 if your lucky) so your pokemon will always be faster than gardevoir, give it to them asap - She have a freakin 6 free shield, so most of your pokemon need to deal enough damage to 1 shot her shield or you can forget about killing it Strategy: Basically use the seed to set up wonder room and just chip it away until its dead. I lead with seeded Excavalier, wonder room makes it move first and mine is sp ded build so Gardevoir need 2 hits to bring it down, which give me enough hit to kill 2 of its shield. then came Magnezone cuz i'm holding chesto berry it will not use lovely kiss and atk it instead, which is enough to deal 2 hits till it dies, then i repeat using Togedemaru and by now i effectively remove all her shield, but now Wonder room will end, so you need send out one more seeded pokemon, and just repeat the above strategy till its dead The hardest part is to find pokemon that can remove gardevoir shield in 1 hit which not many can do considering Fairy is nerfed hard on this field, alternatively you can put it to sleep but beware because she also holds Lum berry so your sleep setter need to survive 1 hit to get the job done, Paralyzed it is also an option but its too RNG heavy

1. Not sure if its bug or just Rng, but when you fight Venus in the Big Top field (the girl with Ledian Crest) her Tauros always succesfuly hit iron tail with 100% accuracy, there is no indication in the field that boosted this particular move in the field guide. Have tested this at least 30 times, but she never missed once. 2. Saki's M Metagross somehow maanage to outspeed my Max speed IV/EV timid Gengar. 3. in 3rd Layer, near the bridge with the gyarados there is a small rock climb area, some tile here can be used to surf .

I never really rant about battle difficulty but i just need to let out some of this frustration, so yeah Saki is one of the biggest problem in this ver, as some the comment above me has said, Saki's battle is a tad unfair, it has too much advantage and too little weakness to exploit Her team Advantages: 1. Glitch Field remove Physical and Special atk split and use gen 1 damage calculation on sp atk and sp def. - This makes her already bulky mon got more CHUNK and Hit hard, not too much of an issue cuz both of us can take advantage of this 2. Seed that makes it typeless and increase sp def and def. Personally i think that this is not a huge problem, typeless mon is nothing new as it has introduced in reborn (Terra's Quaqsire) as long as you hit hard enough it will fall 3. Saki exclusive Attack THE U.M.D. - This is where I'm beginning to raise my eyebrow, im not going to complain too much if its just reduce 1 stat, but it actually reduce 2 and i dont know how it works but depend on the pkmn it either reduce ATK and SP ATK or DEF and SP DEF this absolutely DESTROYS set up and deal crazy amount of damage, it would be much better if its just reduce 1 specific stats, really hard to get around but not impossible 4. Auto Wonder room. - AND This is where things go Bonkers, this 1 extra move make all of her pkmn into absolute beast that can absorb damage and dish out much stronger atk, this set up cause her Aggron to 2 shot my defensive build Magnezone before i can do anything, it best just to get rid of this entirely as the only counter play is to use our own Wonder room to cancel it out, we need to sacrifice 1 pkmn and 1 of our turn for it, really unfair tbh, if you must put it in then at least teach it to Bronzong, don't make it auto prompt. 5. Bug or illegal Metagross? - Not sure why but her M Metagross always move first, its even faster than my Max speed IV/EV timid Gengar lol Scratch this, did a double check turns out her M Metagross is lv 90 with max speed investment and Speed Nature, so it will always faster than my Gengar Her team Weakness 1. Most of her team is Slow (except for Metagross lol). - i think this is the actual way to beat her, her team is slow so we are supposed to do some set ups to balance things out BUT how can we do some set up WHEN HER PKMN ALMOST ALWAYS ONE SHOT AND REDUCE THOSE VERY STATS THAT WE TRYING TO SET UP 2. Not immune to burn - U.M.D is a physical move so burning is the way to go, the only problem is Wonder room+Glitch Field makes her SP Stats Sky high so it barely even matters Counter Play problem: Unlike other battle where we can create a situation to do counter play or utilize other strategy to bypass opponents niche, this fight basically force you to bring your own wonder room to even have a fighting chance, the only viable strategy i can think of is Destiny Bond + Revive scum but this only in casual and easy or Seeded + Hone claw shedninja. All in all this fight basically restrict strategy play which actually makes pokemon fun, personally i'm very frustrated when doing this battle. sorry to say but the balancing is all over the place in this particular fight

Some of the pokemon in intense has illegal Ev and Base Stat, i guess this is what happens, it was the same for me cuz somehow her metagross outspeed my Timid Max IV/EV Gengar

Lead with meganium to deal with cincinno, put a reflect and just Giga Drain, try to stall her houndoom by sacrificing your already weak mon, usually it always start with Sunny Day so its ability Solar Power with damage it every turn and it will be enough for megalax to 1 shot it while tanking 1 hit. Her most dangerous pkmn is Crobat it is super bulky and fast, if she switches to it, deal with it as fast as you can TBHi really hate melia's Togekiss, why the hell didn't she teach it Air slash and Dazzling Gleam, its STAB for god sake, honestly there many instances that having these move will make the battle so much doable, her ace is just a liability

Interesting Stat, so i take it its better to invest in Hp and def ev and give assault vest/Leftovers for held item cus Toxic+ Merciless will take care of the damage department

i think your best bet is to use Sandslash, give it magical seed to get the king shield and atk buff and do a sword dance on that turn, then just EQ. Big Chance Melia will switch to her Togekiss when that happen so you want to use Rock Slide instead of EQ, maybe reset a few times to get the timing right

Wow so you guys just brute force it, mad respect for the patience, can't imagine how many mental breakdown that the patchers must have suffered lol, great idea on the documentation though, the hardest part of whole testing thing is to document the whole thing into a neat human readable from pile of hot garbage, especially when you don't have any tools to help you. not the most efficient way but i guess with enough tester it will cover a lot of ground. Keep up the good work guys can't help much but i'm gonna give you my energy

Testing is usually the hardest work, especially when you test games, usually has shit ton of events, and countless more combinations of those said events. but i'm curious how you guys test this though. Did you guys just play through the game and check everything manually or have some software to test the events automatically?

For non existent typing, fire/grass is a strong typing defensive wise, only got 2 2x super effective weakness, and great coverage

If we compared this by difficulty on first time facing them, then i have to answer Titania, most of her mon is able to sweep through your whole team and her Seed Excadrill is very scary and the field Effect is so broken it basically cripple fire type which if you don't pay attention to before fighting her is a guarantee sweep

Ohh i've done this run before, yeah at the start its going to suck, i pick charmander in my run and doing it on intense tho Hardest part is early game, Venam, Keta and Meleanie is going to be hell, but after Narcissa it should be easier, Charmender is an easier pick because charmeleon can learn Dragon Rage, and you can actually reset until you got a female starter, so that you can breed it, i kinda create army of charmeleon, as army of noibat just wont cut it, not proud of it but thats how i got through until Narcissaa Lol
