  1. Oh well in that case nevermind then. Goodluck on your run!
  2. Oh wow that’s actually MORE than a while. Why don’t you try playing the main games first? You’ve missed out on a lot. Reborn might be a big culture shock to you.
  3. @Zarc Close. It’s actually Maqnuggets
  4. “Maqqy” surprisingly, is my real life nickname.
  5. The very first meaning your first ever Pokemon game? Or the last since a main title game? If so then I suggest having an overview because a lot has changed in Pokemon since then. Anyway Infernape and Alolan Raichu are solid mons so you can keep them through the end. Recommended powerful mons in Reborn are as follows: Diggersby, Azumarill, Ampharos, Gyarados, Gardevoir, Magnezone, Ninetales-Alola, Mamoswine.
  6. It is time to enter the realm of Norse Mythology. Time to play, God of War.

Hope you enjoy it! I'm in the middle of playing it / trying to Platinum it at the moment. It's an incredible experience. It starts sort of slow, but I'm constantly getting more engrossed as the story progresses and I explore the world. Really great game.

Thank you! I heard a lot of great critic about the game. So far it’s been very good. It gives a very different feel from the previous 3 predecessors. I just defeated the troll, barely breathing rn. Goodluck to your Platinum run! God bless my Bronze one.

  7. Yes for core, long time, somewhat competitive and expert Pokemon players. For new players and beginners, it's a no. At least, not yet. Phoenix Rising might have the potential to change that if it reaches 100% completion.
  8. These are confirmed mainline games, but not one of the core main Pokemon titles. So we can all breath a sigh of relief wooh. One thing I would like (aka hope) for both of these games is a change in story. I want GF to atleast acknowledge the fact that majority of pokefans started with Gen 1 and we practically memorized Kanto in every spec and every corner. If they are going with a reboot or should I say remaster, bring something totally new to the table. Change the plot entirely or switch it up with something unique. If they manage to do just that then we all good. All that aside, I’m really leaning towards these games my dudes. I feel like it’s a very fresh start for Pokemon. But I agree, this is where Kanto needs to meet it’s end. After this, it can never rise from the grave again. This is nostalgia’s last laugh. Gen 8 and above, Gen 1 mons should be banned from ever returning. No more of first generation after this. It’s time to move forward. Yet I doubt it
  9. I see a lot of people are disappointed and that's fine. Let me just say some things. First of all, this is okay. A spin-off/reboot is honestly a good sign because that means a very good ample of time was given to Gen 8 which is confirmed coming next year 2019. Second of all, I dig this. All of it. The graphics and the glimpse of gameplay immediately captured me. I don't even care if it's Kanto again and If I'm getting nostalgia feels painted all over my face. These games are one word, refreshing. Besides, playing a game solely for nostalgia was never a bad thing. It works and I'm excited. I am about to experience first generation again in a totally new different way. These games along with the introduction of Gen 8 next year, might turn out to be really glorious. ... and this is hype
  10. WE ARE OUT HERE PEOPLE!! Thoughts, reactions, emotional state of mind.. discuss it all here! The first Pokemon game on the switch has been revealed!
  11. Finally finished the demo. Overall experience, magnificent. To release a demo this grandiose with little than less bugs, it's already remarkable. Of course critically reviewing the game as a whole, it was not perfect. All aspects of the game feels new but felt slightly lacking in content. Like I could finish exploring a town in only 20 minutes. Yet with the absence of gyms, this is expected. Nonetheless, it makes up with its fun sidequests and storyline. The introductions of the main characters (professor, our two rivals and the first council member) were spot on. Graphics, are splendid in every way but comes with flaws. Some back sprites of mons seems off and yes the lack of battle animations but that's okay. Nevertheless, UI, tilesets, their custom sprites and especially the relic pokemon are perfect. FPS is a problem but didn't really hinder in gameplay. With the plot, it has great potential and is very well-written. Although we only got like, not even a half of the story but it's more than enough. Final verdict, it was worth the 9 years of waiting. This fan game can match even Reborn's tier in my opinion. What I loved most about Phoenix Rising is the amount of effort they put into this project. Everything design-wise is top notch and given how firmly polished the game is, it deserves an A+++. So for Maqqy's personal score for the demo: a whopping 99%.
  12. This made me very happy. It's about time to rise from my grave.

  13. I love it when I play certain fan games, it makes me feel like I'm actually playing a real, new and different Pokemon main series game. Phoenix Rising managed to do just that.

Same here. I'm on my way to the middle part and for a demo release, it delivered.

It just needs to address the FPS but honestly I think Reborn, Rejuv and Desolation lag more for me lul

  14. First take on Phoenix Rising I’m already getting Stardew Valley vibes. This game is breathtaking I can rest in peace.

  15. There is always a massive overhaul in graphisms when it comes to Rejuvenation version update and it really just means that in every new version = new game playthrough.
  16. So how is the game for everyone? I sadly can’t play the game for now due to life being... life. Give your 100% honest opinion about it.
  17. I’ll probably tear up once I see that download link it has been sooo long I still haven’t decided on a starter but I am keen on having that gorgeous looking Mega Froslass and those super clean Relic forms
  18. Insurgence has its flaws (impossible to overlook cause of how drastic the bug issue is) however you still could enjoy the game especially with its Delta mons and custom mega evos. They really made it creatively, so maybe a mono team might lessen the fun experience. If you still want to do a mono run I suggest a New Moon team, a totally new weather condition for dark types.
  19. One of the best is Cinccino. With it’s three Skill Link attacks, it’s a wrecking ball.
  20. With those mons I suggest Gyarados, Scrafty and maybe Mamoswine.
  21. This girlie saved my arse, heart and soul in countless battles in Reborn on my first run. You don't get to underestimate the beauty that is Simipour. The best of the three elemental monkeys, it was a very good Water type for my team. Learning early moves likes Taunt, Scald and Acrobatics it became my ace in almost every gym battle. Underrated and underestimated it may be, it's a beast. Plus she's cute.
  22. Hello. Try to swap Ribombee for Monferno in this battle. You actually have 4 dark types on your team so just keep trial and error-ing until you come victorious. Good luck!
  23. Okay, let's settle this.

While Gen 3 was my personal favorite because it has a more stellar, unique regional dex, no one can deny that Gen 5 is THE best generation of Pokemon. You can hate it ofcourse, but none can call it the "worst generation" because it sits at the top and the top alone. Best story, best visual graphics, best theme and overall best innovation of gameplay. It's undefeated, unscathed, untouched and the pinnacle of what Pokemon and GameFreak can offer to us and THAT is my tea for today.

And while gen 5 has somes " ugly " mons , it has probably the best ones aswell : zoroark or haxorus for example

I mean, a Haunted Chandelier with Purple fire. many a "bad design" rant can be invalidated simply by that IMO

@DreamblitzX Agreed. Gen 5 definitely lacks in some places and is nowhere perfect. Truthfully, some generations like Gen 4 did things way better than Gen 5 in terms of character and plot. Gen 5’s authenticity, unique themes and a change in Pokemon gaming elements just really stood out for me so maybe that is why I considered it to be the best.

  24. Hi there. Believe me when I say that, I understand. I too, am forced to live with an incredibly, unbelievably, very toxic person in one roof. It also happens to be a family member. I know that feeling when in certain situations, you have no control whatsoever and all you could do is just sit down and take it all in. It's very hard that you feel like you're suffocating. It takes a toll on your mental health and life is hard enough as it is, this type of crap blows on your face and makes it harder even more. So I would just like to say to you that you WILL overcome this. Not to mention that you have your mom and your siblings, those who you can rely on and be there for you in times like this. It may not come immediately, but it will come to pass. In my case, I just chose to completely cut off myself from that person. It was not easy, as I see this person everyday and have to interact with this person on a basis but eventually, I did it. This person's attitude, words and actions, doesn't faze me anymore. What I'm saying is if your dad really isn't worth keeping in your life anymore as you said, then you need to learn to free yourself from him. The only way to do that however, is to forgive him. Remember, you are not forgiving him for his sake or anyone else's but for yours only. It's not fair right? Because he doesn't deserve it. Yet, it's essential. If you really want to keep going in life, you have to ultimately leave your hatred from him because you will never move on. So I implore you that it may be very hard, but find that strength to finally forgive him and cut ties with him for good. Not as easy as it sounds, but you could do it. Considering your experiences, you are strong to have faced all of those. You also have many people on your side so you don't need to worry. Be brave, life is bigger than you know and don't let your father hinder you from this vast world. Rid yourself to the things that keeps you from growing. Show your father that despite all his douchebagness, you were able to become the person you wanted to be. Wishing you all the best. Good luck!
