I don't understand my faculty. We have a water dispenser...but it's only there during May, June and September. All other months it's hidden away somewhere.
All I want is a cup of water...
Instead, all that's available are coffee machines that I'm not interested in...

@HongaarseBeer97 Waterbottles are made of plastic, and either due to photo degeneration or through natural causes will slowly dissolve and seep into the water after a while. It's not entirely a problem nor dangerous, but even minute changes in the components of water can alter the taste.
Case in point Danish water is incredibly rich in calcium, and tastes widely different from water in most other countries due to lacking this component. I know Sweden has incredibly iron rich water... What's the quirk of water in the Netherlands?
-
@Tartar To be fair I wouldn't exactly know. I do however know that water from Almere, which is where I live, is (or was, this news is quite old actually) the softest tap water in the whole of Europe. So it has very little calcium in it and it doesn't taste like iron etc. at all.
I actually did a little research and the softness/hardness of tap water where I live is 4.30. If I compare this to Amsterdam which has 8.40, that's a world of difference. I can really taste a difference in those two kinds of tap water. I'll leave the link here, just in case you want to know more (it is in Dutch, though: http://www.waterhardheid.nl/lijst-waterhardheden-in-nederland) Now I didn't calculate the average, but it seems like it's somewhere between 8 and 9. How this compares to the rest of Europe/the world, I have no idea, but it seems quite alright

Oh dear Arceus, just when I thought my luck with missing and criticals couldn't get any worse, now I have to deal with the Mirror Field...

I keep seeing awesome-looking team images in people's signatures and now I've reached a point where I kind of want one myself. Only thing is that I don't know who to ask or anything else necessary.

Sometimes I wish I had someone to play games with. I really do.

Out if curiosity, what is the minimum number if attacks needed to be able to hit every single type SE? A fighting move for Normal-types is necessary, Freeze-Dry is also very wide coverage...how many more?
-
Uuhhh... *looks up Bulbapedia* erm, since when does Wingull resist Ice attacks? Used Ice Shard on one in Apophyll, "not very effective".

Anyone else wants Nintendo to release a Pokemon game that didn't have the whole "Human turned into a Pokemon" plot point and just focused on a world where it's just Pokemon and the concept of humans didn't exist? No? Just me?

Roughly how much power does Frost Breath have? It's 60 Power, but it's also a guaranteed crit, so it's 1.5x damage. If also included STAB, which is another 1.5x, does that mean it actually has an effective power of 135. Where did I go wrong in my calculations?

Welp, next gym leader's on my Mono-Ice run is Samson. I am already crying...

http://prnt.sc/cv3055 Somehow I managed to defeat Samson on my Mono-Ice on my first try.

Gave Jynx Focus Sash, hoped it would let me setup. Didn't help. While Hariyama was OHKO'd, Mienshao U-turn finished her off. He switched to Lucario, I used Mamoswine and EQ'd both it and Blaziken with OHKO's.
Then came the tensest part: Mienshao could have swept my team with Brick Break. I sent out Aurorus with Snow Warning (who promptly got OHIO's) to hopefully let Beartic and Glaceon use Snow Cloak. Mienshao used Poison Jab on Beartic who OHKO'd Mienshao w...

We talk a lot about what is a person's favorite Pokemon type. But what about second and third favorite?
What are everyone's second and third favorite Pokemon types?
Mine are Dark and Water, respectively.

I feel like such a wreck, mentally and emotionally...
Years of bullying back at school have left me with self esteem somewhere in the outer core of our planet (That's very low) and I always feel like my emotions will get the better of me at bad times...
And the "best" part is that I can't really do anything about it aside from trying to distract myself, which is sometimes hard to do, especially wednesdays...

I think I know what it is, a scar on the soul. as lon'qu said in FE Awakening: Every hit is a lesson, every scar a reminder. the scars on your soul will fade away over time, but never recover completely. the thing that helps most for me is just putting on my head phones and listening to music. just taking my time to not care what others think and just locking everything outside of the wall of your own mind. putting up walls is not always the best idea, but if you know how to break them down it's the best idea

Okay, read the rules on CW and decided not to risk it. Why? Because my writing was basically the start of Pokemon Reborn from a third-person perspective with a defined protag, from the train to exiting the Grand Hall.

I think I prefer video game music over real life music.

Is there any reason why Rare Candies are unbuyable post-Agate? (until the end of the episode anyway)

Tfw you want to drink some water but there are only coffee machines in your university.

Random thought: What if Lin is simply the personification of Elitism in various games, especially competitive settings? Those only care for raw power and statistics and forego everything else, like design, fun and other such stuff.

I wasn't putting words into anyone's mouths with this. This was just an observation I made. But if it'll be for the best for everyone if I went quiet, then sure, I can do that. Just say the word. Besides, I was not even remarking about Pokemon in general. I can name more franchises where this can apply: Smash Bros, League of Legends and other highly competitive franchises.
As for Solaris, I never truly considered him being a better image for it. Like I said, this was just a random thought that came onto me.

I'm bamboozled as to what Azery said. I think it's an interesting observation on Anstane's part. I think Lin did choose hydreigon as her ace with a thought to aesthetics, but if it's a hydreigon that can survive a fairy type attack from an A-ninetales, then it must be hax hydreigon. She only cares for power, which does mirror elitism in games, but for some reason I'm reminded me of people who hack mons with illegal EV spreads or movesets only to win definitely lol

18 recorded battles and 15 hours of gameplay later, I have finally gotten my second badge in Rejuvenation Intense. I definitely don't remember it being this slow, though I guess it is early-game so it is justifiable.
I do have a question, though: Is it worth for me to record the Virtual League sidequest? Or would those not be worth recording for an "All major battles" playlist?
-
Finally got the Tech Glasses. Seriously, was Ame just in a bad mood when she designed the process to getting the sticker?
-
Remind me, how many badges are there at the moment in Reborn? Asking because of reasons I don't want to play more then one Pokemon game at a time right now.

Wonder what it would be like to go to the ranch (I'm just assuming it's a ranch, a personal pocket dimention ranch) and live a few days among ALL the Pokemon one has caught in his adventures.
-
I've made a terrible mistake. Turns out the repeatable battles in Agate Circus are significantly harder then the ones in the Grand Hall.

I read a bit of the SoA RP. Now I feel kind of tense and depressed...ugh, what's with me and not being able to stomach properly dark fiction?

Well okay, dark is not the wrong word, yeah. Perhaps it's the realism part that's the problem for me...and yeah, I might simply not have the tolerance level for it.
Or maybe it's just that I really REALLY don't like reading about apocalyptic and otherwise brutal scenarios in franchises/characters that I hold close to my heart. Perhaps that last one is truest for me...ugh. Body of a 21-year old, mind and heart of a 10-year old child...

Ever fight a boss and were like "Nope, screw this" and wanted to just quit the game?
