I'm thankful for people making amazing fangames that keep up and strengthen my love of pokemon.

Yes this is a great strategy if you have the moves for it, especially against gym leaders as their teams very much utilize their fields. the same should be true for most of hardcore at least. alternatively, you can temporarily override any field with one of the terrain moves, which is pretty damn cheesy in my opinion but it works. another option in certain cases is to use the field as well of better than the opponent, such as one of my fondest battle memories from my reborn run: sweeping the fire gym with eruption. Full HP+STAB+Flash Fire+Field Boost just minced them. might've had sun up near the end too. Edit: thought you Just meant using the inbuilt potential changes of each field. having a reliable way to override a field and then permanently transform it into something even more favorable sounds even stronger, and should neuter almost any tough fight that uses field well.

I've tried to stay away from all the cheese like perish song and destiny bond for those boss kills, but I have seen from my friends playing that the terrain moves are incredibly powerful. not so much for any boost to your team, but just for neutering any hard fights that utilise terrain (looking at you Aya) so tbh I'd actually like if in future the AI trainers had some way to counter/break these to reinstate their fields.

Told a friend to try insurgence, he got reborn at the same time but didn't play it at the time. after finishing insurgence I decided to look it up and try it too, and beat the whole current game in like 2 weeks.

My personal favorites are probably this guy and the one as my profile picture. certainly several other ones I really like though.

Huh, I can use fly just fine. am I in the minority or are you? granted, most of the locations are broken (only markers are all clustered in reborn city and nearly all of them stick me in walls and I have to fly out again, but hey, peridot and I think coral seemed to work so it gave be a quick way back to the city.)

To be honest I don't think anyone minds. you've already done an amazing amount of work very quickly and all of this is awesome regardless of how fast or slow the progress is so just keep working at your own pace.

you breed the growlithe you get given to get a growlithe egg, which you can then trade for the mystery egg back at the station. I got pawniard and both of my friends got phantump. it's really annoying to get something that can be found elsewhere when other potential (better) results are currently only obtainable from that egg.

good point, but wasn't there also the part about encouraging applications for gamefreak? that's something you you direct at fangame makers, not fanart creators.

Uranium was fairly dissapointing but Insurgence was decent and the massive 1.2 update is very close so might be worth checking out then.

no because sometimes you want the extra team slot, like when hatching a bunch of eggs, or if you wanted to lose a fight with some weak pokemon but your starter was way above and would just destroy. mostly just seems like an unnecessary inconvenience

When selecting the level limiter in CoM mode, it mentions that the limits aren't the same as the badge level caps. what exactly are the level limits then?

Ok thanks. My friend is currently between aya and serra and finding it a bit easy due to his use of field overriding and I remembered seeing mention of this a while ago. Sounds like its not suitable for his situation as he doesnt want to restart, but I might give it a go for my second run either if I get bored before E16 or this updates for E16 quickly
