Yea I beat Rorim B, went back to the village and talked to Melia, Venam and Aelita, got teleported onto the boat, but neither of them are on it and the captain still has his line from before the fog about docking at Oceania pier soon.

Yeah, I think you are bugged. I tested it myself after a bit of dialogue and I could talk to the captain and go to the shore.

well my save is in the troubleshooting thread if anyone wants to see if it works for them of if they can fix it

  3. Not sure If I'm just being thick or it's bugged out, but I can't get the boat to leave terajuma and go to this secred sheridan shore. Game.rxdata
  4. you can buy them a bit before the 4th gym too but they're pretty expensive. My question is how do I open the door in the cave behind the waterfall in goldenleaf? it had a 4 on it so I thought it might open after I got my 4th gym badge but it hasn't. I think it's where you get phantump which I wanna do for my mystery egg (which will probably be bad knowing my luck) Edit: Just found the unlock thing in the cave so nevermind, I was right about the 4 badges thing though. EDIT 2: when can I do this "lighthouse quest" on terajuma and how do I start that. I'm currently doing the help centre quests in the village and would like to be able to add a staryu to my team. also if there are any shiny stones nearby it would be cool to know about those.
  5. Sadly the field lets ghost hit normal for SE damage, but I considered training a scrappy pangoro. Houndoom is a good call, I'll see if I can find a houndour. I'd love a better water type, dewgong hits like a wet noodle but I'm struggling to find one. crunch seemed to do unfortunately little but maybe that was just the particular pokemon.
  6. My thinking was that with the speed investment, a +1 boost (what can be commonly passed) allows it to outrun unboosted things up to base 125 with neutral natures like greninja, alakazam and weavile, and base 110s with speed boosting natures like gengar. obviously many of these threats are type-dependant so I guess I can change the spread round based on the battle and what I'm likely to see.
  7. OK, so if Swords Dance passing is off the table, I can drop that off scolipede in favor of protect for more usability if I want to do a second pass when he's on low HP. Swap Aqua Tail for Megahorn and go Adamant with Life Orb so scolipede can function as a decent physical attacker without dance. Switched starmie to the offensive smogon set with boltbeam and analytic with life orb for good damage on switches, HP EVs moved to SP.Atk. Swapped fire blast for rock slide as that should be better in doubles and if I decide to switch to a more offensive garchomp spread part way though. Bisharp can be swapped for a special sweeper, as scolipede is no longer passing attack boosts so a special can benefit from the speed too. How about a special attack Aegislash? shield form lets it receive a pass well and it should hit very hard even without an offensive boost and it helps against fairies which I seemed to be a tad weak to before. Aegislash @ Weakness Policy Ability: Stance Change Shiny: Yes EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Naive Nature - Shadow Ball - Flash Cannon - Sacred Sword - King's Shield Went with Naive as positive speed nature should help it outspeed a bunch more things at +1 but I don't want to weaken sacred sword with timid, and it's probably more likely to get switched into physical as gallade can switch into special rather well. also decided to keep jolly on gallade so It can function better without a speed pass. I'll sleep on scizor some more, it's definitely tempting.
  8. My thinking was that after a single boost, scolipede outspeeds almost any unboosted mon, and no longer needs to fear a talonflame bravebird with gen 7 mechanics because it would outspeed and ohko on the second turn with aqua tail after sash. so the only things that can stop it are things that pack priority and can 2HKO, or scarfed mons that can outspeed it at +1 and 2HKO, both of which need to be the lead mon so that should be moderately uncommon?. protect would be good for just passing speed, but because I want to pass attack too it seems less useful unless I feel it necessary to pass +2 speed. If I don't lead with scolipede, I'd need to make sure that hazards were gone (which is why I needed a spinner in the 6th slot) and give it a free switch off a faint or a volt switch against a faster mon. sash should be fairly reliable in these situations right?
  9. OK, I have no competitive battling experience but I thought trying this out might be fun so I picked some things from my reborn team that worked decently together then tried to shore up some holes with the rest. Gallade @ Galladite Ability: Justified Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Zen Headbutt - Drain Punch - Knock Off - Swords Dance Bisharp @ Lum Berry Ability: Defiant EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Sucker Punch - Knock Off - Iron Head - Low Kick Scolipede @ Focus Sash Ability: Speed Boost EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Swords Dance - Baton Pass - Poison Jab - Aqua Tail Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Volt Switch - Hydro Pump - Will-O-Wisp - Pain Split Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet Ability: Rough Skin EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 92 Spe Impish Nature - Stealth Rock - Earthquake - Dragon Tail - Fire Blast Starmie @ Leftovers Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 240 HP / 16 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Rapid Spin - Scald - Recover - Psyshock The gimmick here is scolipede passing a dance and a speed boost to one of several potential physical sweepers, or attacking himself depending on the opponent. all tips appreciated as I dunno what I'm doing.
  10. Are duplicate held items allowed? also any word on when we can expect gym leaders/brackets?
  11. Currently having some trouble with Narcissa. Team: Blaziken LV 39, Naughty, Speed Boost, No Item, Blaze Kick/Stacking Shot/Poison Sweep/Bulk Up Nidoqueen LV 38, Rash, Sheer Force, Poison Barb, Poison Sweep/Crunch/Body Slam/Toxic Spikes Meowstic LV 38, Sassy, Competitive, Twistedspoon, Psyshock/Shadow Ball/Flash/Light Screen Gourgeist LV 38, Gentle, Pickup, No Item, Shadow Sneak/Razor Leaf/Shadow Ball/Leech Seed Dewgong LV 36, Adamant, Hydration, No Item, Ice Shard/Aqua Jet/Headbutt/Brine Altaria LV 38, Bashful, Cloud Nine, No Item, Dragonbreath/Disarming Voice/Cotton Guard/Mist Trained Pokemon in box: Golem LV 36, Modest, Hard Stone, Rollout/Magnitude/Stealth Rock/Rock Polish Swanna LV 35, Calm, Sharp Beak, Air Slash/Water Pulse/Rain Dance/Roost Clefairy LV 29, Modest, No Item, Magical Leaf/Stored Power/Sweet Kiss/Minimize (need second moonstone and no calm mind available hurts) Main problem is nobody but Blaziken hits very hard. Blaziken could set up on spiritomb by healing the sleep and getting free turns with dream eater, but was completely walled by flashfire Chandelure. Plus I'd like to be able to do things without having to just rely on Blaziken and/or cheesy item stalling. I'm fine with training up new pokemon if I need to.
  12. Couldn't you just play the mp3 files out of the game folder directly through your computers media player?
  13. Oh OK I was thinking of D&D 5 headed dragon queen of evil and chaos. your one makes more sense.
  14. This tile can be walked into from behind. also some collisions in the intro were a bit wonky too (front of the boat?)
  15. Here's my team with about 70 hours (The top half of the box) I haven't trained up any new members since E16s release, but some were from in between 15 and 16. Gardevoir and Gallade are Shiny. also kinda funny to see a fairy rabbit called Tiamat XD
  16. I haven't gotten mudkip, but for Goomy you need to get the GUM key (someone else can tell you where this is because I don't remember) and then take that to the water treatment plant and find the room that it unlocks.
  17. And a happy new year to you too! nice to hear progress is going decently. speaking of bugs, maybe one day my friend will make a forum account and post tales of some of the ones he experienced. I wouldn't worry about them too much though, tech seems to develop mysterious issues and break down around him. things seemed to work ok for me though, as I often had to get him past these problems with a save file transfer where I would play past the part that was broken. (notable ones I remember were the whole blake event in ametrine bugging out and skipping a big section, a double battle in the water treatment plant crashing, and a whole section of the railnet just being... gone.)
  18. So why aren't Mewtwo and Mew banned when all other legendaries appear to be? (I assume this is just an accident)
  19. Is this just for serious people, or can someone who doesn't really have competitive experience just create a team and try get a couple badges for fun?
