This program might help a bit, my friend used it on route 2 which was pretty laggy for him http://himeworks.com/2014/10/rm-fps-control/ Won't necessarily make it run at normal speed, but can help and also smooth it out, which even if its slow can make it more enjoyable. to use: 1. open pokemon reborn 2. open the fps controller 3. set the controller to XP 4. drag slider either all the way up or to the point that works best. note: this may cause battles to go super fast but you can turn it down during battles.

Looking forward to seeing how you weep before beat Luna XD. Cinccino's hidden power is fire from memory, as it normally ignites the grass for more damage. also wait, you can BUY FOCUS SASHES?!?! WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THIS also you wrote "Spiritomb tries Judgment (useless)....." instead of "Arceus tries Judgement(useless)..." FYI

I never beat garchomp because I've only done one run, and I didn't know it changed the story if you won so I just lost to it and continued because I wanted to just continue with the story at that point instead of going and finding something to beat it (also I hadn't saved in a while). however, I can proudly say that I've beating all the other bosses without any cheezy methods or AI exploits.

This one bothers me slightly as "Kobra" is almost always spelt with a C (Cobra)

Pokemon Reborn on TVTropes: Base Breakers and The Scrappy (SPOILERS)
Dreamy replied to Lord Chespin's topic in Reborn City
With a few of the "base-breakers", for me personally it somewhat comes down to immersion. as a player, they do things that are really annoying (rub in how little freedom of action we have as the player etc) but your player character as a person would probably feel differently as they have just witnessed their actions as a person. the first one that comes to mind is Charlotte.- 31 replies

Also a fair portion of the moves the make Jellicent good are TM/egg moves (scald, shadow ball, will-o-wisp, recover) but the water spout could be useful in some situations. I've had very good experiences with its fire counterpart, eruption, on several occasions. so I would agree with timber and swap Jellicent out for now, But don't discount it for training up later for a certain battle or two. also make sure you evolve your magneton before going through the gate into agate after gym 9 (Cain will get you to confirm when your ready). I didn't evolve mine (because I had no idea how) and while it was still useful, It could've been much better.

I'm worried the character we'll be saying goodbye to is Saphira due to the line back in the dragons den field reveal about it being in two upcoming gyms. PLZ DON'T DO IT AME I WANT MY FRIENDS TO LIVE!

Eggrelearn link currently goes to FPS mod XD.
-
ANYWAY. I heard someone say something about a new field effect being revealed at 80%, is that actually a thing? (I haven't been around long enough to know)
-
How about a mod that adds a pokemons egg moves to their level 0 move relearner pool so you don't have to breed a new copy of a team member just to get an egg move for it. (potentially pre-evolution moves too)

Personally, I tried to go for good natures but never really worried about EVs or IVs and I got through episode 15 without too much difficulty, and nothing cheesy for any hard fights or boss pokemon so I don't think its necessary at all, but I'm guessing it would certainly help.

Whoa man, this is super impressive how fast you are working! The canonical idea seems to mostly lean towards there being a set order of gyms in the region that you're meant to progress through, but sometimes it's implied (mostly in anime) that the leaders use a different team based on the amount of badges you currently have. the second one would be a cool thing to implement into a game, but a fair bit of work. the thing that I sometimes get confused about it gym teams vs personal teams. for some leaders (usually early ones) it feels like they have a gym team that stays as a set level, and a personal team which they train. this is especially apparent in reborn with leaders like Julia, Florina and Shelly who you fight alongside later in the game where they have stronger pokemon. however, these appear to be the same ones as in their gym team because a) the nicknames of Shellys ones and b? if they had stronger ones they would've used them in the earlier team meteor encounters like deliverance. this means that either a) the early leaders have trained up a bunch, but now their gyms are really hard and how are new challengers meant to beat them? or levels are a non-canonical measure of strength thats necessary for game design.

so do you actually have anything for aegislash to do in shield forme or is he basically just permanently in blade mode?

So full restore doesn't heal curse? Interesting (I've never tried it before) also fun fact, in my last message, I tried to copypaste the wynaut picture, but when I hit post it replaced it with the words "why not", because why not? and that time I typed the words and it changed to the picture. I learned an important lesson here today

Isn't it only like a 10% power drop on superheated? I guess that could still be the difference between winning and losing occasionally. also, the why not's, they're too strong!

hooray that guy can finally stop running into a wall!

I think we can all agree that there needs to be an ingame explosion graphic when you detonate the corrosive mist. so satisfying.

this is a very valid point tbh. maybe when you enter an area, a box appears in the corner (like area names in the normal games) that has the area level, then it's their fault if they progress. the trainers don't have to be at the start of every area guaranteed though, that would feel too unnatural. but with a few scattered around, it would ideally be hard to really explore an area without fighting the trainers
-
I think that map in the screenshot looks pretty good! (maybe the towns are a little frequent, depending on how big the areas are?) also wouldn't it make sense to have HM's bar the way into areas with higher level/rarer pokemon, rather than the other way round? Edit: nvm that's what you meant (right?) but it would be nice to have fairly unrestricted traveling. (except for of course not being able to progress easily through harder areas because you get defeated easily, which if there are trainers generated too, could also be part of a way to discourage roaming around areas that are too tough for you) Wandering overworld pokemon sounds like a cool idea that would add more life into the world, as long as there weren't too many that it felt cluttered. on the subject of changing game mechanics from the original games; in my opinion the idea of the game itself diverges somewhat from the traditional formula already, so minor mechanical changes are fine. as long as the gameplay still feels like a pokemon game (which it definitely should with just levelcap/catchrate changes) that's fine by me for the sake of balance. I dunno what other people think though.
-
well you could take a leaf out of reborns books and have level caps, maybe based on the strength of the strongest gym you've beaten, rather than the amount of gyms. or, just change the catching formula so that difficulty to catch starts to rapidly increase as the pokemon gets stronger than your own. With the map, is it possible to have the areas generate more interconnectedly? that way it feels more open-world than linear-branching.
