I tend to use a combination of units that I like and units that are considered viable. Though, most of the time, even the units that are considered weak by other people turn out to be some of the best units in my roster. Eddie has done well so far, so I didn't have any reason to replace him with Zihark. But I snatched his Adept from him, haha. I also used Mia over Zihark in Path of Radiance. (I feel like female Swordmasters are quite rare, so I was really keen on using her, and she didn't disappoint. Many people may consider her worse than Zihark, but I didn't really care all that much. Still beat PoR just fine.) Perhaps I should've given Zihark a chance, ah well.. not like I'm saying that I don't like the guy. He seems to have that Swordmaster..esque "chill dude-attitude" while managing to be an overall nice guy and I really like that a lot. But in the end, I can't use everyone. ^^

Yeah, Zihark is a Navarre through and through. He is an intetesting character and unit, but I tend to prefer training up base class units into their final forms. I've never been much of a fan of pre-premotes. I didn't use Seth in FE8 or even Camilla in Conquest (shocking, I know). I just prefer growth units, like Ests, Lords barring Sigurd, and Merrics. It basically boils down to playstyle choices.

Mmm yeah I'm not trying to tell you how to play the game, you do you. I'm sure Edward will serve you well in the future, he generally does for anyone who trains him. I actually applaud you for using the characters you like, though you're spot on about not being able to train everyone, particularly so in part 1 of RD. You really just want to pick about 4 characters optimally (not including Micaiah and Sothe) and exclusively train them. For me that's usually Nolan, Aran, Zihark, and Jill. I think the view of people who go gung ho for using nothing but the best units in this case boils down to Edward is a good Swordmaster that you need to train, while Zihark is a good Swordmaster that you don't.

I'm used to being judged for using Rebecca over Wil or Rath. But honestly.. I couldn't play FE 7 without that dodgy little demon, no matter how hard her growths screw her. She's definitely been blessed on this playthrough, though. Her strength growth is 40% and she ended up with 21 at Lv. 18. She even ORKO'd Brendan with a Longbow, lol. Granted, it was a crit.. still, she's an underrated unit.

Ah, then again, people say that Bosswin a.k.a Godwin a.k.a Magekiller/Dodgetank 2.0 is bad. I beg to differ.

I know that luck, it's like missing a 90% hit while you get hit by a 5% hit(yes, that happened to me in the past)

Step 1: Find Duct tape

Step 2: Tape your hands to the controller

Step 3: Reset the games many times until Zephy survives a bloody hit

Step 4: Aim to kill Ursula otherwise Zephy will be screwed at a certain point

Step 5: Run over and save Jaffar if he got screwed by the RNG and didn't dodge

Step 6: Pray to Naga nothing else bad happens

Step 7: In the occurrence that one of the above did not happen, pray the duct tapes is able to refrain you from breaking you screen/tv/handheld

Ayy, Fae is a decent buffer/debuffer with overall balanced stats. I don't get why people outright ignore her existance. You've just got to keep her away from Falchions, really. And I think you mean Bartre, who is indeed inferior to Dorcas. If you get more manaketes and maybe Ninian or another Dancer, you could try making a "Dancing Dragon" team. They seem relatively good, unless they go up against units with Falchions.. which are quite common, unfortunately.

I would go for Jaffar, but 4 colourless units on focus and I don't have that many orbs...

Jaffar is also on my hit list, kinda need a colorless unit on my main team. till that day Eirika is just there to deal with some people in case Lucina is to far away

That I did. Also, I'm aware of the fact that I can click on the green heart and see who gave somebody else reputation for a post, but apparently it's not working here. (Perhaps it's Ace Members only, or something?) I don't think it's somebody called "somebody". The only member I found who goes by that name doesn't seem active, or anything. Last time they logged in was roughly seven months ago.

It also doesn't show me who game me Rep, so it might be an Ace Member perk, such as editing status comments like these.
