  1. I usually ditch my starter early on, since I get often bored of using them. (Except for the Torchic line, obvious reasons, everyone!) So, no, I probably would not like it. I like to have the freedom to build whatever team I want, no matter how terrible it really is.
  2. Glad to see that Version 9 is on it's way! Though, I'm not happy about the fact that I have to restart this entire memetastic game again..
  3. Titania can be as flawed as it gets, but as long as she doesn't kill Taka, I'm completetly fine with her killing off grunts. I don't like her all that much, but I'm fine with her character. It's not like you're meant to like everyone. :DBut I'm interested in seeing when she's getting her first real character development. Up until now, she's stayed pretty much the same. I think it's bound to change pretty soon.
  4. That feel when you're happy because your Eevee is about to evolve into Espeon and it evolves into Sylveon instead. Beautiful.

Technically, Espeon has better speed, but Syvelon does have better bulk...

      Another Felix

      Espeon is cuter than Sylveon.

If it ain't Vaporeon, it's bleh.

  5. Screw random OCD's! To hell with them! D: I should just learn to deal with certain things.

  6. I have never used Photoshop or made a thumbnail before, but today I finally got the courage to give it a shot: http://i.imgur.com/yKBxpJ4.jpg - Thoughts? Obviously, I'm still learning. Not like I'm professional or anything..

You could try and give it more personality or come up with a format to make thumbnails?

I didn't really aim for anything to fancy, really.

Just something better than an ordinary screenshot. (Though, I'd still like a screenshot in the back.)

  7. Imagine if the move "Ingrain" would be an ability and restored more HP when there's sunny weather. Would it be viable or not?

That's a nasty pun. :D And yes, that five-turn limit would probably kill that ability. Though, some people would probably find a way to make it work, anyway. Maybe something with Skill Swap in doubles.

  8. So, I have played through Pokèmon Reborn, Rejuvenation, Insurgence and Uranium. Are there any other games worth checking out while being hyped?

You could check out the Fan-Game Expose. There's quite a few projects in there with similar ideas to Reborn and Rejuv. There's also Zeta/Omnicron from the same folks who made Insurgence, but I haven't played them myself. You have played through the four most well known, however, so good for you.

  9. http://i.imgur.com/fe9NPuc.gifv - I'm still laughing at it like a little kid. Poor guy.
  10. The Windows 10 Bluescreen looks much more friendly and casual than the previous one's.

  11. Why do people always complain about Palkia? Have they never seen Combusken..? Pff..

    1. Ironbound

      Ironbound

Combusken is quite truly a cock.

  12. T-this.. Mega-Gardevoir sprite.. oh, I'm prepared. Looking forward to the animations!
  13. Wait.. there's a German dub for Pokémon Generations? I didn't know that! Sounds so awfully cringeworthy, though.

  14. I have no idea what I was thinking when I started a Hard Mode run of Insurgence.. jeez, those Gym Battles.. Drought Vulpix and competitive movesets in the first one, and it appears to only get more ridiculous. But this makes me want to play Reborn Hardcore. :P It's fun, in a strange way, getting crushed over and over again.

    1. drevance

      drevance

Fun fact, when Insurgence was initially released that team was the default team for the first gym. Enough people complained about it that it was eventually nerfed until the different difficulties were released.

    2. Busti

      Busti

I agree, those early gyms are tough as hell. But part of the difficulty is just not having enough options to win, or you just didn't anticipate what you needed. It gets better after gym 3, when you have strong pokemon of your own

  15. Well, I was so happy about Version 8, that I decided to make recordings of every choice possible regarding Flora, Florin and the Bladestar Facility. At least I think that I have covered them all. Feel free to check it out, if that's what you are looking for. Perhaps you can tell me if I missed a choice. I didn't replay when Version 8 came out, so perhaps I missed some of the other cutscenes.. Edit: I also wrote one script for one of the choices. I know that it's a bit unrelated, but I feel like posting it, anyway. Did it for another person who couldn't play Version 8 at the time: You board the train to Grand Dream City - Lots of chatter between Melia, Kanon and Venam - You meet "Crystal" (Nims sister, the girl you met in the Lunatome/Solrock hybrid side quest, April, I believe?) - You discover that she has the same physic powers as her sister. - She discovers that the train tracks are broken. - She stops the train using her powers, her "aura". - You enter Route 7. - You are trying to find a way to fix the tracks, if you go north, you discover that the bridge to Grand Dream City, where you wanted to call for help, got broken.. same as the tracks, coincidence? I think not. Thus, you go to a town called "Oblitius Town" south of the train tracks, searching for an old man called Kelvin, who can fix the tracks. Crystal decides to talk to Kanon, you won't see him for the rest of the episode. So, if you feel like fanboying about him, you should initiate the dialogue once you're done. - You encounter a girl in a place called "Darchlight Forest" right next to Route 7 - Girl turns out to be a Gym Leader, so does her brother whom you also meet. - You encounter the girl again, see her placing a probe in the forest, revealing herself as an Admin of an organization called "Team Bladestar" - You follow the girl, she goes by the name of Flora. - You meet Flora and her brother, Florin. Who's also a Gym Leader. Apparently, everyone in this Version is a Gym Leader. - Unfortunately, you were standing on a pile of leaves and hear a cracking noise. - You and the siblings fall down into a prison cell. - You meet Erin, who's searching for Aelita, trapped adjacent in the prison cell left of you. - Flora gets rude which triggers Erin and makes her (I had a very hard time determining if it was a "he" or a "she", before reading it in the dialogue.) jump on some boxes, out of the prison cell. - Erin brags about how she could have gotten out of the prison cell at any time. - Erin helps you and the siblings getting out of the prison cell. - One of the siblings suggest that you should find a way out of the cave. - You get the option to either join Flora (Middle Path), Florin (Left Path) or Erin (Right Path) depending of your choice, the story line will change. I went with Flora, mainly because I was curious. - You discover an old facility of Bladestar, searching for a way out of the cave. - Flora goes to the computer in order to find a way out. - You get the choice to either "Confront Flora" or "Keep Quiet", I went with "Confront Flora", expecting her to smash my head in during several Pokémon battles that end up with me losing over and over again.. instead.. - ... She changes clothes and introduces herself as the Co-Founder of Team Bladestar, explaining the intentions of the organization and that they aren't as bad as you may think. They actually only wish to replace the government of Grand Dream City since the current government is run by "greedy and corrupted pigs", according to her, at least. She also makes you an honorary member of Team Bladestar. You can't reject or anything, so.. deal with it. She also tells you not to tell anyone, otherwise she ends up getting in trouble. How, I do not know, maybe somebody else will tell you.. moving on.. - Flora changes her clothes again, being normal Flora again. - You find out that there's still Bladestar members left in this cave. - Flora teams up with you, disguised as her normal self, I guess.. - You fight several Bladestar members who have laughable teams, except for the Spelunker grunt who turns up just as you wanted to leave the cave, he also has a giant Dugtrio Robot.. for whatever reason, his team is still laughable. So you end up beating him, hopefully without losing. - You leave the cave. - More dialogue, you get the chance to reveal Flora's secret in a conversation between her, Florin and Erin. However, you also get the option to simply "Keep Quiet." I went with "Keep Quiet." since I could never stab a girl in the back, deal with it. She also promises you a Gym Fight which you'll have in Darchlight Forest. - You beat the Gym Fight, which is very difficult due to her Pokémon all having her special move "Uproot" which lowers the Sp. Def of your Pokémon by two stages. I barely made it first try. - Venam discovered something during the Gym Fight and tells you and the company about it. - You leave Darchlight Forest and enter Route 7 through Nectar Forest. - You discover the crash site of Saki's.. roboter vehicle thingy, Venam and Melia go on to assume that Valarie, Adam, Braixen and Saki are nearby. - Everybody leaves you alone. - You go in Darchlight Forest again, talking to Erin and seeing her complain about how much of an annoying girl Aelita is. She didn't find her, after all. - Melia and Venam have a dramatic entrance. - Erin sees Melia and takes a step back apparently being surprised about seeing her, saying "What kind of a sick game is this?!" and "Why the hell do you look like...?!" followed by "I'm sorry, but you... nevermind. I was out of line. Get over it." which kinda hints that Melia is in fact Marianette and that Erin remembers her.. because of some event that is not yet known. - It's hinted that Aelita got cured by Erin and her grandma. - Erin mentions that he has one place left to check. - Everyone leaves you alone.. again. - You go to the train. - Trying to enter the train will trigger Crystal to come outside. - You get the HM 04 - Strength from her. - She remarks how strong you've become since you last met. - Erin joins. - Minor exchange of dialogue. - Latios flies by.. or Latias, probably Latios, you only see the shadow. - Crystal gives her train ticket to Erin and runs off, saying that Kanon will be back soon, "hopefully". - Version 8 ends.. Thank me later! You made me re-watch all the footage that I recorded, haha.. Version 9: Sneak Preview: "???": "This is where I found him. Laying soulessly on the ground. Completetly encased in stone. Who could be responsible, I wonder? No matter what, I shall be the one to find out."
  16. So, the developers ceased all support for Pokémon Uranium, huh? Just when I got comfortable with a game containing custom Pokémon, jeez.. that's sad.

Let's just hope for the best! :D Hit me up if you need someone to trade/battle on the unofficial servers. I'd gladly help you.

  17. I don't really know you or anyone on this forum, nor do I have any redeeming qualities that would make me an interesting person, but congrats nonetheless..
  18. I was going to suggest Magnezone, Roselia and Milotic.. but..
  19. I have a computer running Windows 10 that I got myself in November 2015. No idea if the specs are relevant, but I'll post them regardless. I guess it's some kind of mid-tier computer thingy. Specs: Intel Core i7-6700 @ 3.40 GHz, GTX 960 [4 GB VRAM] along with 16 GB of DDR 4 RAM. I never got any viruses.. O.o Scanning once a month with Kaspersky.
  20. There's been quite a lot of hacking going on recently, jeez.. hope it'll stop soon.

  21. Sandile is a Ground/Dark type, so is Krookodile, it's last evolution.
  22. Sandile in Tanzan Mountain, Zubat in the Byxbision Tunnels, Misdreavus in the secret grotto.. heck, you have a lot of options, including the one's that were previously mentioned. You just got to search for them. Another tip would be Magnemite in Shade's Gym. It's very useful and viable in Reborn, since it evolves into Magneton (I forgot to evolve Magneton into Magnezone and ended up with a Magneton Lv. 77 at the end of Episode 15. That's how good it is, it never failed me. No, it was one of the best members of my team. It even outsped many foes that I didn't think it would.) at Lv. 30, which is early. Just make sure to evolve it after the incident in Tanzan Mountain and before you enter Agate Circus. You can also find the Corrupted Poké Ball in the hidden part of the Railnet and get yourself a Ralts, which evolves into Kirlia at Lv. 20 and Gardevoir at Lv. 30, which is a beast with Calm Mind and Psychic. You can also get yourself a Shiny Stone and evolve it into Gallade, which is a good Psychic/Fighting type, at least until you get something like Lucario, which is very late in the current game. And Growlithe/Arcanine? While it may be viable in competitive, it requires breeding and egg moves to be decent. Without it and proper EV training, it's merely a relatively bulky and balanced mixed attacker that gets outclassed by every dedicated special/physical attacker, at least in my opinion. I did use an Arcanine in Rejuvenation and it served me well, but in the end, Chandelure just destroyed it in terms of viability. I think you're good with your Charizard, to be honest. However, that's just my opinion. My team ended up being composed of Blaziken, Milotic, Magneton (Which is now a proud Magnezone), Crobat, Krookodile and Gardevoir, with a Modest Roserade being in rotation. And while I don't urge you to copy my team, I must say that it carried me through many situations where I thought that I would lose, but ended up winning anyway. In the end, every team is somewhat unique, and that's good. Finally, check out http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/?showtopic=6802 for reference where to find the Pokémon that I've mentioned, or others that you may be looking for yourself:
  23. That feel when you change one simple option in a game and get 60 FPS instead of 30. My life just got a little better..

  24. You don't? Just make a backup of your current save file (Should be "game.rxdata", folder should be "Saved Games"), put it in a different folder and hit "New Game". Anyway, I will probably restart the game.. and do another run, and record it again, and write descriptions.. and.. oh, I don't wanna, urgh.
  25. Oh, the first shorts of Pokémon Generations are out. :P Haven't really cared about the anime for like seven years now, but this certainly looks somewhat intriguing.
