  1. Alright! I hope this is the right place to post such a thing! I've been wanting to make a thread like this for quite some time now, actually. I want to know which Trainer Class you would pick if Pokémon would exist in real life! (I didn't see any other thread like it, at least not on the first three pages.) Now, I'm gonna go ahead and post a few classes here, simply because I can. I'd also like to exclude classes that belong to villainous teams. (i.e. stuff like "Team Rocket Grunt", and so on..) Personally, I think it's alright if you use a class from a Pokémon fangame. I don't mind. If you want to be a "Dark Dreamer" from Pokémon Reborn, that's totally fine. You can also just put it like "Ace Trainer [Reborn, Black/White 2]", add a sprite, whatevs. You probably get the point. I'm just suggesting things here. It's supposed to be a fun thing, after all. Make your own class, put a custom sprite, if you will. List of examples: Anyway, I'm really curious to see what classes are going to be picked and why. I'd probably call myself a PokéManiac and cosplay as a Chansey, no matter how stupid that makes me look.
  2. I don't know what was going on when I made this profile picture, but I really like it. I might actually keep it.

  3. To be honest, I think you should replace Klingklang, Magcargo and Sharpedo. But that's my personal preference. I think there's better Pokémon available. I always try to find a compromise between looks and efficiency. Pokémon that I would suggest? Well, I don't know. Magcargo is pretty bad considering it has two x2 and x4 weaknesses each that are fairly common. It's BST is pretty laughable, too. But then again, there's a way to make every Pokémon work. A good, viable replacement would probably be Arcanine. You can get a Growlithe pretty much at the start of the game, but I think you already know that. If you've been lucky enough to have received a Larvesta from your Mystery Egg, definitely go for that. Sharpedo is an awesome, hard-hitting Pokémon for mid-game, in my opinion. It's bulk, on the other hand, isn't that good. It's frail and won't withstand much punishment. If you're looking for a potential late-game sweeper that's fast, it's probably your type. But I prefer stalling, so I picked Milotic. Good replacements for Sharpedo would probably include Feraligatr, Azumarill and/or Poliwhirl, if you're looking for a physical Pokémon. I'd suggest Milotic, Vaporeon or even Quagsire if you're looking for a bulky special attacker. (If you're into that. It's personal preference, like I said.) The huge downside to Milotic is it's pretty much non-existent availability. You can get Feebas in a specific spot in Ametrine Mountain, but I guess that it'll be an useful asset for Episode 16. Klingklang is a decent Pokémon if you're looking at the stats, don't get me wrong. But judging from the movepool and it's late evolution (Lv. 49!), it's bound to be dead weight until you obtain better TM's and can provide it with some decent coverage. It'd be good to know it's movepool, but Gear Grind is it's best physical option that has STAB. Really? It doesn't even learn Iron Head or something. In my opinion, the best Steel type that you can get is the Magnetilo line. It has the solid Electric/Steel typing which is basically the same as Steel except for the fact that it has a x4 weakness to Ground attacks. You should also consider the fact that Electric type attacks hit many times neutral/effective, and while it may not be the best offensive typing, it's definitely way up there. The only downside is the fact that you have to wait until Lv. 50-Lv. 60 until you can evolve it. But tell you what.. I played through the game just fine using a Magneton until the end of Episode 15 and it turned out to be the MVP of my team. Oh, and it also learns Thunder Wave by level-up. If you have a spare Heart Scale, you can teach it Thunder Wave and use it on the opposing Pokémon if you're in a pinch. Even more so, when your Magnemite happens to have Sturdy. (I beat El's Ditto that way. My Magneton pretty much ripped it apart with field boosted Flash Cannon's and para-hax. Setting the stage for my Blaziken to seal the deal.) But yeah, do yourself a favor and look at the suggestions of other people. I'm just a casual scrub.
  4. Welcome! ... ... Blergh.
  5. ^ This. But since you asked for it: I think other games worth checking out would be Pokémon Insurgence and Pokémon Uranium. I had a strong bias against Fakémon but Uranium changed my opinion on them and I actually ended up tolerating and liking some of the ideas and designs! Pokémon Insurgence on the other hand gives you the option to use "Delta Pokémon" with different typings and stats compared to their normal counterparts. Then again, those both games are nothing like Rejuvenation and Reborn in terms of their stories; they are much less dark. But as previously stated, you should also check out the Fan-game Exposé and support the people there.
  6. Not being able to eat your favorite foods without facing severe consequences hurts bad.

  7. 8/10 - Why would you deny perfection in the form of a pink bubble with arms holding a stat-enhancing item to make it ridiculously powerful? Pfft.. then again, Blissey's also pretty cool. My rule of thumb: If Chansey isn't available. Use Blissey. (If you think there's a better staller, I will find and end you.)
  8. Dunno. When I signed up here, I had a laptop that couldn't run shit. Along with a phone that couldn't run shit. Then I called myself "Lagspike". Now I got this name, a better computer, a better--.. fuck it. I just want a better name.
  9. The weirdest thing that happend, huh? Well, I suppose me waking up at 1 AM in the middle of the night and going through what my fridge has to offer together with my cat is weird enough. Oh, and the part where I step on his tail by accident and he starts screeching, making me screech. Needless to say, I love him more than anything else.
  10. 9,5/10 - Guess you could say that it's elephantastic. Kill me. 10/10 if you made it yourself.
  11. .. would probably the title if this was a movie, but it isn't. I've made it my mission to experiment with the Pickup ability in Pokémon Rejuvenation since I have quite some time on my hands at the moment. I'm planning to make a list of the available items for Lv. 30-70 and list them from Common to Uncommon, Rare and Very Rare. (Once I'm done, of course, so this will probably end up being progressive and over time.) Pokémon Rejuvenation may use the same Pickup Table as Pokémon Reborn. But since I didn't find any specific information here in the sub-forum, I thought I'd just give it a try. Haah, here goes.. Edit 1: Down below is the part where I'll list any item that was found and the Linoone which held it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Item list: Lv. 30 - Lv. 39: Full Restore (x10), Moon Ball (x4), Gourmet Treat (x17), Moomoo Milk (x2), Hyper Potion (x3), Max Repel (x6), Dusk Ball (x4), Revive (x2) Lv. 40 - Lv. 49: Hyper Potion (x3), Dusk Ball (x3), Moon Ball (x4), Full Restore (x2), Moomoo Milk (x3), Revive (x2), Ether (x1), Sun Stone Lv. 50 - Lv. 59: Max Repel (x3), Heart Scale (x1), Full Restore (x1), Ether (x7), Moomoo Milk (x1), Moon Ball (x8), Hyper Potion (x2), Dusk Ball (x3), Gourmet Treat (x1) Lv. 60 - Lv. 69: PP Up (x4), Ether (x2), Revive (x5), Dusk Ball (x8), Hyper Potion (x2), Ability Capsule (x1), Full Restore (x2) Lv. 70 - Lv. 79: Dusk Ball (x1), Ether (x3), PP Up (x3), Hyper Potion (x4), Full Restore (x5), Max Repel (x4), Revive (x6), Ability Capsule (x1), Rare Candy (x1), Heart Scale (x2) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Findings (In order): -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, after about three hours of working on this list, I've come to the conclusion that the Pickup Table of Pokémon Rejuvenation is composed of mostly Utility and Healing Items. Held items or valueables are not present. It's worth mentioning that you get a lot of Gourmet Treats when using a Lv. 30 Pickup-Mon. I might add other level ranges later, but that should cover the relevant stuff for now. Can't believe how incredibly tired stuff like that makes. And that's what I want to do for a living later? Hell, nah. Now I might reconsider. Leftovers, please?
  12. ... Guess I'll make it my mission to take a few brave Zigzagoon and Linoone and find out if there's Leftovers. I'll edit this comment later. As for your question: I'm fairly certain that there's no Rocky Helmet yet. Edit: Nevermind. This is a thread about the Rocky Helmet and nothing else. Guess I'll scrap that idea and make an own thread.
  13. Hmm, I like cute Pokémon that pack a punch. That being said, here's my imaginary team: Chansey - Looks derpy and takes a lot of punishment. Also gives me health care benefits. Cinccino - Looks fabulous, cute and is an absolute destroyer on the battlefield. Dragonite - It's a dragon. Defy and die. Deny and die. Simple as that. Also seems cuddly. +100 bonus points in my book. Vaporeon - I'm a terrible swimmer, so it's likely to come in handy at some point. Can melt into water. Ever wanted to drown somebody without leaving a trace? Vaporeon's your dude.. or dudette, personal preference, I suppose. Either way, it's cool. Gardevoir - It's loyal, strong and has the ability to create small black holes. It can also predict the future and has a Mega. Though, I'd probably just keep it in it's normal form. Lanturn - While it may not be cuddly, it sure has the ability to give you a nasty shock. It also happens to be an electric fish. Could there possibly anything that's cooler? No, I think not. Edit: I have no idea what happend to my post. But I guess it's because I used unicode for the genders. Oh well..
  14. - I'm not American, but I thought I'd go ahead and share it since I found it pretty entertaining and.. uh, it might be enlightening. (I just found it cool. He should make one for that other corrupt scarecrow, too.)
  15. If you don't wish to be "cheap", pick a Magnemite/Magneton, teach it Thunder Wave and keep spamming it until El runs out of Full Heal. He should have 3, or something. After that, proceed to throw everything you have at him. I did the same and got really lucky with the RNG. I'd also recommend that you should teach Flash Cannon to your Magneton since it gets a significant boost by the field. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LUGTwA1osDM As for Solaris. Yeah, the battle is supposed to be unwinnable, but as previously stated, there's ways around that. If you consider them cheap or not is up to you, really. I consider the extra dialogue a neat addition at the price of one Focus Sash.
  16. That feel when you're so tired that your own willpower will start to act as a substitute for your consciousness. Feels like I'm floating, wee..~

  17. The fact that there's still unexplored routes and a cave accessible by moving strength boulders pretty much suggests that we are going back to the future. (Heh.) Anyway, yes, I also considered the thing with the meteor, but I sort of ended up forgetting about it. But it makes sense. I was secretly hoping that you'd reply here and correct me and/or state your opinion. xD I'm more of a lurker, but you seem to know lore. Maybe Version 9 will give us more of an insight who the Xen Executives truly are. We don't know much about most of them, except for Zetta.
  18. So, I believe there's no topic or theories with people speculating about who Nastasia is supposed to be, so I've decided to make one! This entire thing has been bothering me since my first playthrough and I suppose it's time to exchange thoughts about her character. The game doesn't really tell you about her to begin with. You meet her first on the S.S Oceana after the bomb explodes on the ship. Your "mother" goes to investigate what caused the explosion and she'll confront and ultimately end up taking her into custody. She seems rather coldhearted and devoid of any emotion, being more than happy to kill or capture innocent people. The second time you'll "meet" her is after the incident in Carotos Mountain conversing with Geara and Neved. The third time is in Blacksteeple Castle when she's partnered with Madelis and checks on the machine that's transmitting the signal preventing all affected trainers from calling out their Pokèmon. While the game displays Madelis as a rather hot-headed, power-hungry individual, she's rather analytic and cares little for the safety or well-being of the prisoners or wardens on the island. (So does Madelis, apparently. But I don't remember her talking about it. This topic is still about Nastasia.) I think she's also present when Ren is getting introduced to Team Xen on top of Blacksteeple Castle. Anyway. The fourth time you'll see her is in the Sheridan Wetlands together with Ren. Again, she's cold and stuff, which is hardly a surprise by now. After you make your way through the facility, you will see a cutscene showing her together with Ren, planning to escape together. After you enter final room together with Melia and Aelita, you'll find that it's empty. After going through the backdoor, you'll discover another exit that leads through an area of Carotos Mountain that's not yet accessible. Ren and Nastasia will be stuck in the net of a Galvantula, being revealed to be Crawli's Galvantula. Though, the two easily free themselves and fight back. After the fight against Ren it is revealed that Nastasia had no trouble taking on both Melia and Crawli, which leads me to the conclusion that she's very powerful. Her only known Pokèmon as of now are Ninetales, Metagross and possibly Deoxys or Deoxy. If I missed one, feel free to correct me. After that, you don't see her again. But it's implied that she's behind the incident with the Dexoys attacking the Xen Brigade. Aaanyway, with that out of the way, I'll try to make it simple: When you go to Kugearen City later in the game, you'll eventually reach the laboratory of Ms. Katsu, who just so happens to have a purple-haired daugther by the name of Anastasia that apparently is a gifted child capable of highly complicated math. We don't find out much about her, except for the fact that Ms. Katsu is her mother, that she's friends with Maria, and that her intellect seems to equal that of Maria. After Maria's disappearance, she runs off after being confronted by her mother about it. We don't see her again after that. So, first off: I'm not exactly into making theories or into the lore of video games for that matter. But if something's bothering me, I have to let it out. I may be a simpleton for thinking than Nastasia and Anastasia from the past are related, but the game is literally giving it away.. or not? Purple hair, above average intellect, similar sounding names. I could speculate about how Anastasia became Nastasia, but in the end none of this is valid and it's only a theory. I'd say that the whole thing with Maria traumatized her and that she went through a similar situation than Florinia in Pokèmon Reborn; getting rid of her emotions and/or memories (Certain memories, perhaps?) because of a event that traumatized her, resulting in her becoming "Nastasia" and joining Team Xen. However, it may also be related to Spacea and Tiempea, or maybe even "Storm-9". But, well, I'm tired. And before I keep on rambling, I'd rather call it quits. I'm curious what you people think about it, especially since I didn't see any theories or debates about the topic.
  19. TIL: That "Wet willy" means something entirely different from what I've thought and that Saki isn't perverted: http://i.imgur.com/XKy08L3.png. I hate being a native German speaker sometimes.

Haha yeah. The pain of the german language. I can relate, fellow german native speaker here XD

  20. TL;DR: I sided with Flora. Don't think I'll regret.
  21. Hey there! If you need advice about your team, you probably want to go here: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showforum=39. If only I knew about proper formatting, I could probably make the word "here" clickable. But eh, this isn't Reddit. Doesn't feel like home. Nevertheless, enjoy your stay. As for the Trainer Card: I don't have one myself, so I don't know how to make one. But I'm sure you can figure it out fairly easy. Just keep trying around for a bit. Trial and Error, Trial and Error.
  22. I usually ditch my starter early on, since I get often bored of using them. (Except for the Torchic line, obvious reasons, everyone!) So, no, I probably would not like it. I like to have the freedom to build whatever team I want, no matter how terrible it really is.
