  1. Meanwhile I'm just wondering.. will characters like Grima, Medeus, Ashera, the Black Knight etc. ever be playable? What do you think?
  2. Chansey @ Eviolite Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe Bold Nature - Aromatherapy/Heal Bell - Toxic - Soft-Boiled - Seismic Toss Don't ask questions. That's all you need. In fact, that's all you'll ever need. Best Pokémon ever.
  3. From the Princes banner? Well, I'm only interested in Leo since Effie is a better lance user for my team. Still, Ephraim is a fantastic lance user, he's good at buffing and debuffing. His defense and attack are also quite high. However, his speed and resistance are low. And Chrom..? Meh. He might be a decent unit, but Lucina seems better. Chrom has more bulk and less speed. Leo is.. not exactly the best mage, since he needs to rely on other units to support him most of the time. If you have Elise, you could go for Leo. They seem to work quite well together. Otherwise he'll mostly be outclassed by other red mages. Sanaki seems more viable, same goes for Lilina. Young Tiki also deals nice magical damage while being bulky and overall balanced. (She's a perfect Hector counter. Probably the best.) From the Princesses banner? Eirika seems nice. Her main role isn't to go in there and kill the enemies, but rather to buff up your team so they can deal more damage. If that's what you want, by all means, go for it. Lucina ranks a 10/10 on most tier lists, think what you will. She's one of the best sword users in the game right now, even though Ryoma is probably a little more straight-forward, albeit harder to get. Elise is an excellent healer, probably the best in the game right now. Works well with armored units, from what I've heard. There's also a neat website out there that shows the pros/cons of most characters and gives them a rating. Might be worth taking a look at it, if you need guidance: https://fireemblem.gamepress.gg/ ... Well, I'd pull from the Princesses banner if I were you. Still, up to you. I'm not too good at the game myself, so my verdicts might be a bit weird.
  4. So, who did you decide to join in that Voting Gauntlet event? I went with Lucina. (Even though my favorite character out of all of them is probably Ephraim, but I'm afraid that Leo will win against him.)
  5. I really like Nolan in Radiant Dawn. He's the first axe user that I consider fun to use. Other fighters only gave me trouble with low hitrates, which is why I generally don't like axe users in Fire Emblem.. but he's actually quite decent. Might even be one of my favorite characters from the DB.

I rarely use Axe Wielders, so one with a good skill stat was to good to pass up for me, even if Vaike would be his own valentine.

      AuthorReborn

I always like to use an axe user on my team, especially because often there will be surpluses of lances in mid to late game. Nolan is a very solid unit in Radiant Dawn, but he does suffer from the terrible misfortune being in the experience starved Dawn Brigade. Make sure you sort him into Elincia and Tibarn's army later so he can get lots of good xp from killing off strong foes.

Other axe users I like include Haar, who can almost solo FE10, Lex of FE4, the bulky axe-knight who gets Paragon and a free Brave Axe to defeat most foes with, and of course Hector from FE7.

    4. Wolfox

      Wolfox

let's thank fates for the Dual Katana, helps alot when you have an axe shortage

  6. Ah, I was actually talking about Lachesis. I already decided to promote Effie. Don't think I'll regret it.
  7. Does anybody else feel a little sorry when they kill an unarmed enemy healer in Fire Emblem? Sure, they're bags full of experience points for weaker units, but they don't even fight back unless they're promoted. (Or bash you with their staves in Radiant Dawn. Not like they do any damage.)

"Striking down a Magikarp before Lv. 15." - That is actually pretty fitting, made me smirk.

      No. Slaughter is blind.

    4. FairFamily

      FairFamily

Nope, especially considering that the leader(s) of the army take in almost anybody on good faith alone, I consider them having accepted the consequences of thier choices.

  8. Yes, I actually saved up my feathers. Didn't have any good reason to spend them yet. On another note, this.. her stats are a bit.. weird. Or is it just me? Is she even worth the trouble of training her?
  9. Does the Switch have some kind of feature that enables you to record gameplay and upload it straight to YouTube/Twitch, or did everybody get rich all of a sudden and started purchasing capture cards? Can't even make two clicks on YouTube without running into a LOZ: Breath of the Wild video.

      Raindrop Valkyrie

I mean... it's an LoZ game. Further, it's youtubers jobs more or less so why wouldn't they have a way to record it?

    3. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

((that and capture cards arent' REALLY all that expensive. you can pick one up at a reasonable price that work just fine.))

    4. Hect

      Hect

Yeah, nevermind. I actually thought that capture cards are expensive as heck. Turns out that they aren't. I'm subbed to relatively small YouTubers and it just surprised me that most of them suddenly started uploading Switch footage when I've never seen them upload footage from consoles before.

... I'd actually be interested in a 3DS capture card, but they seem rather pricey compared to the other one's. Hah, maybe one day.

  10. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. I don't know what I should say about this game, because there's so many good things. So I'll just say nothing. (Excuse my laziness.)
  11. When you realize that you don't actually have anything in common with your friends, and you ask yourself why you even have those friends, but then you start to cope with the fact that you have those friends, just because you have met them at some point in your life.

yeah, that's a point I've been to in the past

  12. Alright. The list doesn't exactly express my personal opinion, but that's probably because I didn't pay much attention. However, it's right about some of the Pokémon. 1. Chansey. Just kidding, apparently it's Milotic. Which isn't a problem, since I like Milotic. 2. Dragonite. Yeah, that's true. If I had made an own list, it would most likely rank second. 3. Ferrothorn. While I'm not a big fan of it's design, it has been a valuable asset for me when playing competitive. 4. Lopunny. Like the design, and it probably would've ranked somewhere between 5-10.. but.. Nr. 4 works, too, I suppose. 5. Gliscor. One of my favorite stallers, just like Ferrothorn. 6. Crobat. While I never used it outside of Pokémon Reborn and Rejuvenation, I can't deny that it has been a very helpful Pokémon in those two games. 7. Roserade. Well.. I don't know why that's on the list, but it's a nice Pokémon. 8. Swampert. I would've preferred Blaziken, to be honest. But I guess it's still better than the overrated grass gecko that is Sceptile. 9. Clefable. May be a good substitute for Chansey. Not that I ever used it, or anything. 10. Ditto. *Sigh* Guess I could do the quiz again, but it took very long.. and it's not awfully wrong. Let's just go with this selection.
  13. No words can describe the feeling when your eyes are fixated on the low critical hit rate of an enemy in any Fire Emblem game, and that feeling of rage when they actually crit.

2%. And people judge you for being hesitant when playing Fire Emblem. Yeeaaah.. that's what I get for not playing it absolutely safe. Rest in shreds, Aran.

@Tartar Hah, well, I already know that I won't be using him since Neph (She's oddly adorable, and powerful.) shows up at some point in the game.. still, I can't exactly handle units dying. I consider the waste of time and the need to restart the chapter the punishment for my foolishness.

    3. Gentleman Jaggi

      Gentleman Jaggi

My Aran ended up better than Nephenee...

Late in the game it probably doesn't really matter, since most enemies aren't particularly threatening, but Aran's relative bulk is very useful during Micaiah's chapter where almost everyone else is pretty squishy.

    4. Tartar

      Tartar

Oh my... I didn't think this day would come, but we've found someone who used Aran throughout the whole game.

      Here's your reward:

  14. Will I hate myself for turning off the Exp. Share in Pokémon Moon, or will I hate myself should I decide to turn it on?

  15. Radiant Dawn is such a pain to play, yet it's somehow pleasant. I love the writing of the Tellius series, mainly because it doesn't make me want to bang my head on my desk like Fates' writing does.

  16. Ah, well, I've been to Greece once. Crete, more specifically. Now, those people don't really see themselves as part of Greece, but they are. That being said, I would love to go there again. Maybe on a different island next time around. I've been there for two weeks a few years back, and I had a lot of fun travelling through the landscape together with my father. I'm actually glad he isn't one of those people that like to sit in front of a pool all day, even though I would've prefered it back then. (I got forced, luckily.) ... I just.. like, wouldn't wanna.. visit the same hotel again. *cough* Then again, I still prefer Moorish wall geckos over mosquitoes in a hotel room, so that's that. It just was a bit scary to see it on the wall at night. Another country I'd like to visit is the UK. Going there probably won't be that expensive, since thing I need is a room for myself and a bed. (Along with some kind of bathroom, preferably with a shower..) There probably is some kind of inn that can cover those basic needs. Although I must say that I'm not willing to go there for the country, but for the language. However, I have heard that the weather isn't that nice, and I consider that an issue. I've been to France already, and I can't say it's a bad experience especially since I had a lot of fun with my classmates, but I don't think I'll have to go there again. I'm not too enthusiastic about big cities, so visiting Paris doesn't sound all too thrilling to me. And other than that. I don't think there's too much to see what I'm already having around here. I've also visited Poland once, since we have family there. Though, we don't like them all too much, and I suppose that feeling is mutual. (My great grandmother considered me and my father filth, which is.. pretty funny, I guess. She had to be convinced to tolerate us around. In the end, it wasn't so bad. Still, she's one of those people I'd rather not see again.) Besides, my trip wasn't the most pleasant due to it being summer, and the fact that the pension was surrounded by a swamp on the one side, and three giant lakes on the other side. People who are familiar probably know the place that I visited. Warszawa, (Or Warsaw, for people that aren't familiar with Polish.) on the other hand, was a really nice city that I would like to visit again. And, uhh.. yeah, perhaps I'm going to visit the Nether--.. I mean, Belgium one day, as I know a person from there. (Yes, you can mock people from Belgium by calling their country stuff such as "Pseudo-Netherlands", which is pretty funny.) Mh, well.. Japan and the US seem really popular here, but I can't say I really want to visit either, just because of how expensive it would be. I also have a great fear of planes and heights in general, and taking a ferry would probably take a while. Think I'll stay in Europe for the rest of my life.. ^^
  17. It's quite sad that Radiant Dawn's Hard Mode removes showing the attack ranges of the enemies, the weapon triangle and the ability to save in the middle of a battle.

    1. Ojama Yellow

      Ojama Yellow

...I dont even get why they normally do allow you to save mid-battle, it defies the point of the game imo

save abusing can change fire emblem into trial and error more than using actual strategies

      well

more trial and error than it was before at least

    2. Hect

      Hect

Nevermind. I mistook the "Battle Save" feature for a quicksaving-type of feature. Yeah, now I understand why they removed it. Still, the removal of the attack ranges bothers me quite a bit, since it's not actually adding anything to the difficulty, it just makes things a little more tedious by having you count the tiles that enemies can traverse and attack.

probably to invoke FE1 nostalgia, since those weren't always mechanics of the series

  19. So it turns out that I never saved after doing Endgame: Repatriation in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and that it's the sole reason that I can't use my save file in Radiant Dawn. Guess it's time to kick Ashnard's butt again.

  20. So, I bought a New Nintendo 3DS yesterday, but apparently it has what's called a "Dead Pixel" and it seems like the issue is relatively uncommon; there's tons of forums with people that had the same problem. What do I do? It's not exactly game-breaking or anything, but it significantly reduces my gaming pleasure, knowing that there's this "one tiny, broken pixel". Do I just give it back , or..?

You should check your receipt, just to be sure. If you did buy a warranty, it should be listed on the receipt.

      Shamitako

...TFW I'm so used to malfunctioning pixels at this point I don't even care. Both my DS and 3DS had them show up after a while. Basically in the exact same spot on both too, lol

    4. Animefan666

      Animefan666

Nintendo doesn't recognize it as a defect. Most likely to encourage customers to buy the warranty. They don't really fix it, rather they replace the defective half entirely.

  21. It's finally tiiimeeeeeeee! I waited so long for this. Time to lock myself up in my room.

  22. .. 32 hours. ArmA 3. Surprisingly enough, I still felt pretty awake after it. Probably because I kept myself refreshed and well nourished. I just quit because people told me that I sounded as if I was drunk, or something. Otherwise, I would've probably continued. But yeah, unfortunately, I can't do stuff like that anymore. At least not in the near future. Turns out that it truly does affect your body after a while.
