  1. Hmm... I think I just saw an add or a link for "Pokemon fangames you haven't played, but should" or something like that. My reactions was, "Pokemon fangames are a thing???" So I followed the link and Reborn was one of the games it talked about. I thought it sounded the best, so I downloaded it, and I loved it.
  2. So it's not 5 out 6, it's 5 out of the 12 IVs both parents have. So it'll still take awhile. Also, I think Chimchar only has a 12.5% of it being female. So you're gonna have to be patient on this one. -- Edit: Dang, I was beat to the punch
  3. Welcome! I've read the Pendragon books myself, pretty good ones Hope you have a good time here on the forums!
  4. wow... I just... don't... wow...
  5. Is it possible to get up there?? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
  6. So if you were committed to breeding a high-IV eevee, and you were lucky enough that this offspring-eevee in the above example was a female, you would then want to replace the mother with this new eevee. So now you'd have your perfect IV Bidoof breeding with this new eevee that had 31/10/10/10/28/31 If you're still lucky you might get something like : hp: 31 (from bidoof or eevee) att: 10 (from eevee) def: 18 (the random one) s att: 31 (from bidoof) s def: 28 (from eevee) s def: 31 (from bidoof or eevee) You'll probably have to run through a lot of eggs to get a high IV mon, and eevee takes a bit longer because of the 12.5% female ratio. Having a pokemon with magma armor in your party halves the number of steps to hatch an egg though. I think Flame Body works too. Good luck!
  7. Not that my opinion matters, but I think this is a pretty cool idea. And I think it's great that you're volunteering to do the work yourself and not just asking that it magically happen somehow.

  9. So someone was breeding themselves a perfect phantump, because I now have like 8 almost-perfect trevenants. Also, sorry if someone got all of my fennekins.

  10. I'm probably gonna do another one, but I'm probably gonna try and get my old mons in it somehow. At the very least I'm gonna keep my old save file, way too attached to team.
  11. I really like your ideas! Hope it goes well! Sadly I don't have the time nor the skills to assist :/
  12. @Yagami There is a youtuber named Sacred that has done a playthrough. You can watch him go through it if you need to. Good luck!
  13. @Starborn I would just quote you, but the quote button doesn't seem to be working... Anyway, as far as the wiki showing that no one has solved the puzzle, I know that the game creator is really particular about their puzzles and doesn't let people post the answers on the wiki. So somebody may have solved it, but can't post it.
  14. I'd like to second that comment on Trollirisu. It softened up many a 'mon in my reborn run with moves like charm, nuzzle, superfang, sweet kiss, and electroball. The pokemon I thought of may not necessarily be underrated, but I was certainly surprised how helpful it was in Rejuvenation. This little guy just wall-stalled many opponents in my run. Its BST is only 410, but it has 130 Defense and Sp. Def and though its HP is only 55, it comes with lots of level up moves to mess with people: Pain split, Recover, Toxic, Baton pass, Counter, Safeguard, Taunt, Gastro Acid, Soak, Curse, to name a handful. On top of that, by TM it can learn Reflect, Light Screen, Rest, and Protect. Its abilities Innards Out and Unaware can both be helpful, and you can load it up with leftovers or a sitrus berry to up its tankage. There were some gyms where this guy took out most of the team by himself. Definitely turned me into a fan.
  15. The one on the right is the original, the left is after my practice on it.

  17. Hey Matt. First off. GOOD FOR YOU! I admire anyone who has the dedication and skills to even get a feasible start happening to a fan game. Good luck on your game and when the first episode comes out, I'll give a whirl. Hope you enjoy it, I'm sure you'll learn a lot. No matter what you make or do, it won't be perfect and there will be people that bash on it, so don't worry about that too much. As long as you're enjoying it, it doesn't matter too much if players complain about their free game - Good luck again!!
  18. Well, I don't think I can add that much to what's already been said, but if you want another example of a game that does fakemon well (in my opinion), you should look at SolarLight/LunarDark (It came out before Sun and Moon. Just throwing that out there)
  19. You could still make it possible to get them all in one run, for those completionists out there, you could just make the ones they "missed out" on very late-game or even post-game. I've always thought you should get cooler rewards for filling out the pokedex. Maybe there is a guild/club or even just a single person (pokemaniac?) that is obsessed with collecting, and so as you show them a more and more completed pokedex, they take you on sidequests to new areas where you can find cool stuff. ALSO I think a Breeders guild would be awesome. Maybe you can trade for high IV pokemon (if you have a high IV pokemon to trade) and maybe to gain entrance you have to show them a pokemon with an IV total over a certain number. etc.
  20. I think the idea has some pretty interesting potential. But the points others have made are pretty relevant (the time investment, etc). Maybe you could let the main player keep one of their pokemon? Or they can keep it, but it's nerfed somehow? (like a held item that you can't take of and severely limits it, (basically handcuffs for pokemon? just spit-balling here)) (Or maybe you get separated from your 'mons and have to regain them one by one?). Ultimately though, for me it would depend on if the writing could support it. If the writing is good enough, so it doesn't feel really forced and irritating, but interesting and maybe surprising, and I'm motivated to get stronger again to punish the jerks who did this to me, then sure. But I think to pull it off the story needs to be strong enough to distract you from the Pokemon. Just my thoughts though
  21. Just like the title says, I just messed around with some official sprites, thought I'd post some here for fun.
