SpoilerThank you to all of our fans for caring so deeply about Pokémon. Recently, I shared the news that some Pokémon cannot be transferred to Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. I’ve read all your comments and appreciate your love and passion for Pokémon.
Just like all of you, we are passionate about Pokémon and each and every one of them is very important to us. After so many years of developing the Pokémon video games, this was a very difficult decision for me. I’d like to make one thing clear: even if a specific Pokémon is not available in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, that does not mean it will not appear in future games.
The world of Pokémon continues to evolve. The Galar region offers new Pokémon to encounter, Trainers to battle, and adventures to embark on. We are pouring our hearts into these games, and we hope you will look forward to joining us on this new journey.
Well now it's confirmed, Gamefreak is becoming modern-day Bethesda and Masuda is Todd Howard:
- They're acknowledging problems but not doing anything about it (as seen in the text above).
- Masuda is giving a response to a problem by not actually responding to the problem itself and being vague for those sweet christmas sales (as seen in the text above).
- Generation 1 is basically their version of Skyrim by releasing it over and over again.
- Gamefreak basically lied to their fanbase about the reason for the removal of a critical feature (''we're removing Pokemon not native to Galar because it's impossible to make high-quality animations for all 800+ of them'' while recycling the same animations from 2013).
- Because of their loyal fanbase (including me) they will keep making money.

We did this so we could focus on higher quality animations." *re-uses models and animations made 6 years ago* Pokémon is all about the massive size of available characters and once Gamefreak does something different in their life they feel like it's justifies to neglect other features. The series barely gets changed but the moment it does they cut some of the old stuff so it doesn't even add on. Gamefreak will be able to do this as long as they want because fans (including me) will buy the game anyway.

Looks great! If I were to change one thing I would make Charizard's wings slightly larger but that's just me. I especially like what you did with Blastiose. -
So when Sun and Moon dropped it's first few trailers I made a topic that showcased the Pokémon that weren't native to Alola but were still findable. I'm doing something similar but this time I'll actually make a good attempt because I'm atleast a little but competent now. This topic will keep track of which Pokémon from previous generations were visible in trailers as well as be open to theorize which Pokémon could appear in the Galar region. Confirmed Pokémon Suggested Pokémon (The ones that weren't directly shown but are pretty likely due to other factors) Pokemon I think are going to appear Feel free to theorize on what Pokemon should appear in this region and feel free to correct me on any Pokemon I missed. Edit 1: just noticed Vulpix was in the crowd of the arena so now they went from Suggested mons to Confirmed. Edit 2: Added Joltik and Lotad line from the Direct. Edit 3: Added Goomy and Jangmo-o from the website
