  1. Same advice for Blaziken, and Excadrill is fine for now (Iron head is near the end of the current episode so not an option yet) For Roserade the options mentionned previously are good, but there's another one great in Reborn. Grassy terrain and nature power, with an amplified rock. Grassy terrain can erase a field you don't want (great for gym battles) and boost you. Nature power turns into energy ball on grassy field (boosted 90bp) or abuse other fields. Giga drain would be nice too, but I guess you can always find an easier option from above posts. One working perfectly with a field abuser roses are is typhlosion. Eruption, lava plume, nature power. The first two will turn the grassy field into a burning field, strongly boosting fire type moves, activating typhlosion's flash fire to boost it even further and weakening water moves. An eruption with all these boosts can kill even fire resistant pokemons For the last slot I heard that Ampharos is good, though I'm not can of it. Drapion is good too. Sniper + scope lens + moves with high critical hit rate (night slash, cross poison) and all your hits are critical, quite powerful
  2. According to Zetta in GDC's help center sidequest, dimensional rifts are born from exposure to rift matter. Team Xen can easily make them because Zetta (being himself some kind or dimensional rift it seems) can generate rift matter, but anyone finding rift matter can make a dimensional rift. Bladestar did make one. And Zetta mentions that someone stole some rift matter from team Xen, and we can be sure that's Bladestar. Maybe Angie is herself some kind of dimensional rift. Actually that would explain why we don't find any corrupted pokemon in Theolia ground and why it stays open (since Angie is alive)
  3. Now that I started a PhD and have a work for the next 3 years I pledged 10$. Completely worth it for a game I must have spent nearly a thousand hours on. And by the way I'm upping the thread in case some people who didn't know about your patreon are interested
  4. I remember that in the scene we see in Shade's gym, Lin doesn't just fall dead when slain, she shatters like a mirror (like Guild Wars 2 mesmer's illusions for those who know them). I have the feeling that she's somehow cut off from the world, trapped with Arceus or Giratina but can project these constructs. And the narcolepsy can come from the fact that she can't always control her puppet, like she may still have to eat, etc wherever she is. Also, no one mentioned Giratina yet, but we have hints that it is part of Reborn's story. Giratina used to cause a lot of damage back at the time of the ancient civilization. Actually it's probably the cause of its disappearance. Giratina mere presence in Reborn caused Ametrine volcano to turn into ice and Pyrous mountain to turn into a volcano, with the melted ice drowning the city. Until Arceus banished it. So maybe someone so focused on power and destruction as Lin is linked to Giratina, which could also explain why Lin corrupted the original goal of Team Meteor (protecting Arceus' shrine) and is so obsessed with getting Arceus' power. Another possibility, since we spend our time thrashing Arceus' cultists and the team supposed to protect its shrine and power is that Giratina could be an ally to face Arceus or whoever gets its power from the shrine. Actually, these two options don't exclude each other. Lin is obviously someone bad, but I'm not so sure she's really our enemy. After all in Tanzan mountain she knew we were not team meteor's new grunt but ignored us, then she wants Sapphira to give us the Sapphire bracelet. She killed Ame, something bad, but that had the result to have us pushed to be the new champion. She clearly need us, but is it because of the fact we're a anomaly in the timeline (a possibility according to the prophecy we heard about in E16), because since we're gathering the keys it's easier to let us find them, open the door, then follow us inside (like Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time), or because we're the best hope to avoid an even greater evil than her she's fighting against ? There are also the two prophecies we can talk about, the one from E16's sidequest and the one from Gothoritelle, but these can lead to enough speculations to add twice as much text as I've already written so I'll stop for now x)
  5. I just looked at the rocky field and Hardy can be really powerful with it. Accelrock's base power becomes 90 (without STAB), huge for a priority move. Earthquake's BP is 225, plus rock STAB, plus maybe an additional ground STAB (depending on how STAB is coded for moves with 2 types). Stealth rocks take 1/4 of a pokemon's HP with neutral damage (so a Charizard would be Zero HKO...). Rock polish's effect is boosted so even slow pokemon will outspeed you. And I wouldn't be surprised if one of Hardy's pokemons uses Substitute and Sand Veil to dodge your moves and let you crash on the rocks This isn't at OP as the fairy tale field or the underwater field, but still quite strong
  6. Yes, I saw that weird outline after posting and checked the files on my computer, but that actually comes from the forum. If you click on the picture to zoom in you'll see the outline is normal. That's weird. And your sprites aren't bad, I like that Toxicroac and that Toxapex. Vivid colors are usually harder to use with good results I think, but these colors suit them. Frillish's line Here again there's that weird outline effect, but it disappear when you zoom in
  7. I'll begin with some of mine I made a while ago Noibat' line Vulpix' line Mewtwo
  8. Hi everyone As you surely know, both Reborn and Rejunevation have their own custom shinies. Most of them are great (spriters really did an amazing job there), but maybe some are not to your taste, or maybe you would like something special for a pokemon you love. Over time I've seen many people recoloring shinies, over different thread in different sections, most of them lost in the depths of the forum. So I thought we could make one thread where people could post their new shinies so that everyone could easily see and take those they like for their game. And if you have an idea of recoloring but don't know how to do it, fell free to post it, maybe someone else can make it Once there are enough shinies posted in the thread I'll begin to keep a list of them in this post for easier browsing
  9. Seeing how easily most opposing pokemon can outspeed your EV trained pokemon even if they have lower speed base stat, I'm quite sure they are all EV trained with perfect IV and nature. But yes, if you play cleverly, playing with field effect for instance, you shouldn't have much trouble
  10. Nice ! That reminds me there used to be a topic for custom shinies a while back. Might be nice to reopen it. It's been a long time since I have recolored shinies
  11. You can start it before the renovation, but since you can't dive in Tanzan lake then you have to wait until the renovation to finish the quest and get Toxic

    7th street

I checked your save and it seems like a bug. Radomus is beaten and you escaped the castle, at which point your gang leader should be in his alleyway, but both gangs alleyways are empty, same for the hideout, and both accesses to 7th street are blocked. I guess you'll need someone to fix your save (sorry, I don't know how to fix that)
  13. Bring it at Silph Co. to get a scope allowing you to see the Kecleon blocking your way in Beryl Ward and Rhodocrine jungle, where you can find Treecko and stop the Kecleon invasion
  14. Go to the sanctum where you saved Luna in 7th street. In the library where you found the codes to reach Luna there's a book (bottom left one I think) that starts with a list of colors. Or if you have the sanctum key you can go to the room on the left side of the sanctum and see a series of colored statues. In both cases, remember the order of the colors. Then go back to Beryl library in the room with colored books and activate them in the good order to open the door to the secret room

  16. Earthquake still destroys the field, but you lose a relationship point doing so, so I guess most people aware of that will try to find another way
  17. In a different style, you can try to get a Typhlosion. This one makes an incredible combo with a drought Ninetales, especially if EV trained (to make sure you attack first). Sun boosted Eruption can burst through pretty much anything, and Nature power allows to abuse field even when you're supposed to be at a disadvantage. This is great for solo and even better for dual battle with are usually the hardest. Add to that a pokemon with Grassy Terrain (Roserade for instance) to turn it into a burning field and you'll see why some people still have nightmares from when Charlotte's battle was released. I have more than two full boxes of fully trained pokemons, yet for most difficult fights I end up coming back to taking these three

    Metal coat

Unless it was moved in E17, there's one in Tanzan Depths. I also think I found one somewhere else in E17 earlier than that but I can't remember where. And if you have enough department store stickers, you can buy metal coats there
  19. I don't use online features much but if I recall correctly, the game must be the active window for the online to work. And since you can't have two active windows at the same time so you shouldn't be able to trade with yourself this way. But there's an easier option. There's a shared pc mod, that allows you to share a pc box among different saves. I used it and it's much easier than trades
  20. I've made nearly a dozen runs of Reborn. In my main run (a Shiny one) started in E12 I was nearly at two boxes full of lvl 85-89 EV trained pokemons, all trained on Woobat for EV (with power items and tamato berries to remove speed EV if unwanted) and Grand Hall trainers for levels. And surprisingly I barely got bored. Grinding is something I usually hate, but Grand Hall trainers (and sometimes Indra) are overall interesting to fight. I used Exp. share to get them at something like 15-10 levels under the trainers (that before E16 were limited to something like lvl 60), at a point where they could begin to fight themselves. Using them underlevelled was a good way to see if they were good, and made fights more challenging. And doing that, I would give the exp. share to a new pokemon so that I would train two at once without getting bored. As I said I filled two boxes that way. Then with E17, changes in previous episodes and relationship points I wanted to restart my run, but I didn't want to lose all my pokemon. So I dropped them to lvl 14 with candies and transferred them to my new save. But taking time, in the middle of the story, to level my 60+ pokemons whenever I wanted to change, this would have been really boring. So this time I hacked the game and made rare candies cost 10$. So overall I don't feel like there's a real grinding problem in Reborn. Increasing the level of event pokemons like Gible would probably be a good thing, but except that, Grand Hall trainers give good xp without being boring (unless maybe if you take the perfect pokemon to take them down fast and optimize your time), and unless you train dozens of pokemons like me just going through the game should keep you at a good level. And if you still find that too boring, I don't think hacking rare candies or things like that is much of a problem. As Ame says, the point is to enjoy the game, if you prefer it this way that's your choice
  21. It's in the back room of the Yureyu power plant (Shade's gym). But to access it you need a key available after the restoration of Reborn (it used to be much earlier but I assume Magnezone was just too powerful). Talk to the old man in a garden in Peridot and do the mulch sidequest
  22. I think it's actually the same tracks. RPG Maker allows to speed up or slow down music tracks.
