Serra does not have a Cloyster anymore, she leads with Cryogonal. It has levitate so it doesn't take damage from EQ, but it still destroys the field (hope this will change!). Vanilluxe is indeed a good choice, but be carefull cause some of her mons have Flash Cannon or Nature Power that can potential OHKO you ice cream cone! By far the easiest way I found to defeat Serra is Shell Smash Magcargo holding a white herb! You set up twice on her snowflake and go rampage with Lava Plume, Ancientpower and Earth Power!!!
-
Anger Point Primeape is also a good choice for Serra! In addition, if you lvl it above the lvl cap and then use common candy, it learns Punishment which is devastating for her pokes that like to increase their evasiveness.

Shell Smash Magcargo is a GOD in this battle! Set up twice on her Cryogonal and sweep everything with LavaPlume/Ancientpower/Earth Power. You might need to give it a white herb though.

In episde 14.6 you could even get 6 ivs with the power items and d. knot! I know cause I bred a lot of mons with all max ivs. After you get one perfect it's easy to breed other perfect. On the team: Give Crobat Cross Poison over Poison Fang and move the 1 EV from sp. att to sp. def. Since you didn't bred Crunch to Lucario and probably have Shadow Ball and not Claw from Shade, you can use something like Close Combat, Iron Tail/Metal Claw, Extremespeed, Swords Dance. And move the 2 EV from sp. att to either hp or def. Give Torterra Leech Seed or Synthesis or Rock Polish or Rock Tomb over Razor Leaf Magmortar without TMs isn't that good. Maybe give it Hidden Power over Strenght. With that IVs it get a Dragon type HP wich is not that bad I guess. Also put the scatter EV into speed For Empoleon use Surf, Grass Knot, Icy Wind, Aqua Jet. And put the scatter EV either into def or sp. def

In episode 15 the shadows now vanish after the 1st encounter and you have to re-enter the room to refresh them. So I think the Sweet Swent method might indeed be faster!

You can get scraggy after defeating Shelly and be able to use Rock Smash outside of battle!

Ame took the gym guy's job, I can see her stealing the champion spot too!

I'm not used in competitive play yet, but I start to love this team <3 ! http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-263793579

It's in the top left corner of Peridot Ward, above the factory. There is a Pokesnax seller neaby on clear days!

As a big fan of Eeveelutions I love all the new evolutions that you guys made <3 (but I prefer the monotype concepts more than the hybrids) A few notable moves that some Eeveelutions can have: Shenreon: Dragon Dance, Roost, Steel Wing, Sky Drop, Fly Toxeon: Hone Claws, Thief, Fling, Venom Drench Zephreon: Hail, Nature Power ,Weather Ball, Mirror Move, Stell Wing (only if its sprite has wings) Spectreon: Fling, Quash, Embargo, Trick Room, Snarl, Trick, Gravity Titaneon: maybe Gyro Ball or Autotomize A gimmick set for Zephreon: Petaya Berry Ability: Speed Boost Curse Stored Power Substitute Roost Since Stored Power's damage isn't affected by the Curse's Speed drop you can set up while you don't loose speed thanks to Speed Boost and use enough Substitutes to activate the berry and gain speed every turn! Roost to stay in battle as much as possible.

510 / 2 = 255 These 510 can be split into at least 2 stats, meaning that every stat can be maxed at 255 evs. But since every 4 evs are 1 stat point, the number 255 isn't divisible with 4. So the best number to gain max stat without spending unnecessary evs is 252. That way you can max 2 stats and you'll have 6 evs remaining that you can put it in any stat to gain 1 more stat point! In Generation VI, the limit was changed from 255 to 252, preventing wasting evs! So your pokes are still gaining the extra 6 evs after maxing the 2 stats. After that they will not gain any evs at all

Forgot to mention that soundproof Wismur walls entirely Taka's Chatot!!! So, if you have a hard time with the parrot, that most palyers have, Loudred is an excelent choice

If you have the nerves to grind for coins go buy the TM for Substitute in the Game Corner. It clearly helped me A LOT the last time cause I avoided the Confuse Ray from the Lileep, which made me waste 0 healing items and made the battle so much faster. And in most double battles go for the 2v1 strategy when possible. There is usually a pokemon that is not a threat (Lileep in this case) that you can ignore when you stomp the other side!

For me it has to be Beldum! I know Metagross is a beast and i like it, but Beldum is another story. It only learns Take Down that it doesn't even get STAB, hasn't perfect accuracy, has recoil and it is a pain in the ass to catch it due to low capture rate. Especially in Pokemon Platinum where it was really hard to find and it was in an area with a sandstorm making the battle taking sooooooo long!

I forgot to mention that Shell Smash Magcargo can 6-0 Serra with Lava Plume/Ancientpower/Earth Power. Her Cryogonal is an easy set up bait

The Tepig from the volcano has seemed very helpfull to me both with Serra and Noel! Heat Crash and Hammer Arm destroyed most of her pokes. Also had Fire Pledge for physical defensive mons and to combine it with my Serperior's Grass Pledge. I also had Arcanine for back up with Flare Blitz and Heat Wave, but only used it against Jynx. Scrafty is also a good choice, especially if it has Dragon Dance. Also Brick Break may be better than HJK cause it can break the screens Serra sets. Every good special attacker with Nature Power can help too. But getting rid off the field with EQ or Boomburst is usally the easiest way!!!

In my rock monorun I beat Shade with only two pokemon! I used Curse-Gyro Ball Onix against his Gengar cause it spammed Shadow Claw. Then he sent out his Trevenant and I sent me Shell Smash Magcargo. Set up twice and swept all his team with Lava Plume and Ancientpower
-
Try solid rock Camerupt with Earth Power! Aya's field nerfs only Magnitude and Eartquake, so it can be usefull. Simple Swoobat with Calm Mind can sweep but you must beware of the physical Dark moves her mons have. Although most people suggest ground and psychic moves, I have found easier to beat her by taking advantage her secondary types, but you need a lot of diversity in your team. Make sure that your Blaziken has speed boost and relearn it Bulk Up. I have used Muk on my 1st run and kept it till the end of Episode 12. Its bulk is really good and Poison Gas with Black Sludge has helped me stall many fights, especially the many double battles! (poison gas targets both opponents). If you want to replace Simipour with another water type, Lotad and Squirtle are good options. Later you can even consider Horsea and Piplup. If your Butterfree has Compoundeye you can still use it in this battle for its Sleep powder, but definetely replace it after that. Leavanny, Accelgor, Escavalier, Heracross and Galvantula are all usefull bug pokes that can replace it after 1-2 gyms.

[DISCUSSION] Reborn Monotype Viability Rankings
pyrromanis replied to Revman's topic in Team Showcase
I'm currently doing a rock monorun and I'm locked in Circus before Samson. Probably in the next week I can do a bunch of analyses when I finish E15! My only question is can I make an analysis for Tyranitar? I hacked a Larvitar for my starter since there are only a few rock types early, but if you think it should not been done it's fine -
[DISCUSSION] Reborn Monotype Viability Rankings

I assume you meant elemental fangs and not punches (a punching hippo would have been awesome though!) Slack Off can't be bred from Monferno since we are talking about monoruns and 99% of the time it won't be Chimchar! Thankfully Slakoth can be used for that purpose! I have to agrre with this! It should be considered when the pokemon becomes available and if it is usefull for a long run or it's situational in key battles! For example the godsent Slugma for monorock right before Florinia should be considered a high rank since A.) it's your only hope against the f*cking grasshole in all your battles B.) early Shell Smash right when evolves is game breaking and has helped me to achieve many 6-0s! But around mid game it falls behind as it needs at least 2 SS to outspeed anything and seems to be getting one or two shoted easily! -

I really like that you started with Oshawott since almost nobady chooses it! Good luck your new playthrough! I was really enjoying your femme fatale duo run- 41 replies

I got my Archen after I beat Serra in the Museum in E15 public release normally! Maybe there is a requirement to activate the event. Do you have completed the day-care couple event till the end?

He probably bred a male tympole so it can pass egg moves to other pokemon like Drain Punch etc.
